I have been going here for over 6 months now, initially came here because I had a calf injury, where David helped me fully recover within a few weeks. I then continued physio for neck/trap pain and both David and Laurel have been super helpful. They take time to explain why I have pain in these areas and how to fix that pain long term .
Basement floor drain was backing up, creating a very smelly lake on the floor. Without trying to upsell me, Ron explained the options honestly, clearly, and patiently and understood that we were strapped for cash. He snaked the line, which was the least costly fix, kept at it until he was satisfied with the drainage rate, and cleaned up everything. The price was as listed on the Dr. Pipe website, and far, far better than what I was able to get other, larger, better-known plumbing companies in Ottawa to quote me over the phone. It's also worth noting that these companies charge about $90 to actually come over and give an estimate. Dr. Pipe does not. If they come over and give an estimate and you decline to have the work done at that time, they're okay with that, and there's no charge.
Overall, I was deeply impressed by Ron's competence and honesty, and his commitment when he put in extra time to make sure the job was done right.
Many Ottawa plumbers are blatantly unethical and use predatory pricing on people who are in a jam. Dr. Pipe is the opposite. I can't praise them highly enough.

I recently contacted KJ to inquire on a new garden bed & cedar planting at the front of my house. Even though the job wasn't a big one, Jamie was on site quickly to provide me with a quote. After which, the job was completed shortly thereafter. Jamie was professional, on time and even entertained my very talkative toddler! Hair services were excellent:; thanks Katherine! The eyebrow wax, shape and tint was a real disappointment. While the trimming and shaping were well done, the tint was botched. I clearly asked for light brown to go with blond hair and highlights, and wound up with black. I was assured it was “really” light brown and would “fade” after I washed with soap and water a few times. It has not so far, and under several types of lighting, appears black. I am assured that I can come back for a free re-do, but I will be asking for a refund as I am not confident in the esthetician.

7 years ago my older brother & I were looking for a reliable barber as ours [18 years for my brother, 6 for me] was retiring for Family reasons to his home south east of Ottawa. The search seemed endless as we had 3 months notice. However, someone mentioned Sam. Well in we ventured. It has been excellent service ever since. He understood our different needs, especially my cranky double crown, and bushy eyebrows (in need of subtle trims). The shop is always neat, comfortable temperature, comfortable interaction between customers and Sam [when present]. Thanks Sam.

It's a perfectly accessible tanning salon for your quick every day needs, I generally just go tanning to feel the heat a bit and also ensure the base color is always there.
They could definitely use some updates to when it comes to their machines, get newer beds or stand ups would be a great investment.

She was patient and made sure I was comfortable with each step as we went through the lesson. She had so many helpful tips and tricks to share. Before the lesson, she used the information I provided to plan our time together, ensuring that we were able to achieve the goals I had set. After the lesson, she provided links to all of the products that she recommended and answered all of my follow-up questions. I had such a wonderful experience today getting my earlobes pierced by Jen. She was very welcoming right off the bat, and very helpful when picking out jewelry and showing me different options. When it came time to prep for the piercings, she was very meticulous and made sure things lined up perfectly with my other piercings that I have already. She explained thoroughly the piercing process, the sterilization of tools/jewelry, and aftercare. The piercings turned out beautifully, and are perfectly symmetrical on both sides! The shop itself is very clean, spacious and has a great atmosphere overall. Reception staff were also lovely to interact with. I will strongly suggest this shop for anyone needing services!

I have never once had a bad experience here. Pickles is absolutely phenomenal. She always listens carefully and puts such a fun personal spin on every tattoo she does. She has an incredibly light hand and always has fun during the whole time youre in her seat. She is the best tattoo artist I've ever had and i would be devestated if she stopped tattooing.

Calm atmosphere even though there's lots of booths and multiple tattoos happening at once, never felt cramped or too busy. Lots of parking right outside the building and the space itself is beautiful. Awesome staff who were helpful and kind when trying to figure out my placement. Highly recommend and I hope to be a return customer soon!

I recently moved into the neighborhood and came across Barnstormer’s! I had a 30 year old University tattoo, which meant a lot to me! I spoke with Glen & Dan who came up with a way better design, rather than touching g up my old one!! They were amazing, funny, had great opinions and made the whole thing the best!! I didn’t have any discomfort during or after the tattoo & it’s been a week and it’s healed amazingly well!! Shout out to Glen and Dan for an amazing experience and just awesome guys!! Basement floor drain was backing up, creating a very smelly lake on the floor. Without trying to upsell me, Ron explained the options honestly, clearly, and patiently and understood that we were strapped for cash. He snaked the line, which was the least costly fix, kept at it until he was satisfied with the drainage rate, and cleaned up everything. The price was as listed on the Dr. Pipe website, and far, far better than what I was able to get other, larger, better-known plumbing companies in Ottawa to quote me over the phone. It's also worth noting that these companies charge about $90 to actually come over and give an estimate. Dr. Pipe does not. If they come over and give an estimate and you decline to have the work done at that time, they're okay with that, and there's no charge.
Overall, I was deeply impressed by Ron's competence and honesty, and his commitment when he put in extra time to make sure the job was done right.
Many Ottawa plumbers are blatantly unethical and use predatory pricing on people who are in a jam. Dr. Pipe is the opposite. I can't praise them highly enough.

Corey just came for a smaller repair: great communication, on time, clean, professional dressed, professional demeanor, fast and right to work, no sound/ issues at all, price was exactly as quoted and expected for this job. The team at Mr. Rooter has never let us down. Professional work, great communication, punctuality, everything you expect from a top-notch service organization. We had a pipe blockage, called in the morning and had a technician (Lucas) scheduled between 12 and 4 the same day. At about 1 PM we got the text that he was on his way. When he arrived, he assessed the situation, provided a quote and clearly explained the work to be performed. He got that pipe unblocked and flowing again and had us back up and running in no time. We have used Mr. Rooter's services for many (many!) years now and every plumber we have worked with has had rock-solid skills, great interpersonal skills, and are masters of problem solving. I wish I had video of the time they helped out with my well pump. Truly going above and beyond! Highly recommended.

He was very respectful, knowledgeable and very explanatory as to what happened and what he was doing in order to fix the problem. He offered some tips for future references and tested everything to make sure power was restored before he leaves. Very reliable electrician.

My generlink failed and the original installer has retired. I cold called Groots and was greeted warmly and a tech arrived later that day, despite my saying no rush. Groots ordered a replacement and coordinated with my power company for the replacement. Great communication and very friendly technician. Highly recommend them.

Ottawa Electric and Matt in particular is always my go to company/electrician that I can trust when it comes to electrical work. I have done several jobs with them and they always have done an excellent job! They are always very professional, punctual, quick and never leave a mess behind. This time Elias and Cendric installed a Level 2 car charger in my garage and the necessary breaker to support the charger. The guys were very knowledgeable and did an amazing job and were done in no time. The job was done at a reasonable price as per the estimate given to me by Matt. I would make this a 10 star review, if I could, after our 2nd visit. UPDATE. The fan belt stayed on, but the plastic bit that had broken did not. We had to order a replacement part. Capital Appliance ordered the part and sent out their technician as soon it arrived. I was expecting at least $500 in cost, but they only charged for the part (less than $100 and cheaper than any supply I could find online). AND they didn't charge for the visit, even though it had been almost 2 months since the initial fix. Can't recommend this company enough.
First review (Sept 2025) solid 5 stars for Capital Appliance Repair in Ottawa and Yuri, the technician who came to give the diagnostic look at our washing machine. Like the 4 other companies I reached out to, including the international home hardware store I bought the appliance from 3 years ago, Capital had a fee for sending someone out to see what was wrong. It was the smallest of the fees by more than half - AND they deduct it from the bill if we decide to move ahead with the repair from them once they give their estimate.
Yuri was able to tell us what was wrong and repair it immediately, as it did not require new parts. He told us that if the machine broke down again within the next month, we would only be charged for any needed parts, not labour. It's an hour later, and I'm happily washing clothes for the first time in over a week! I will use this local company from now on when our appliances need repairs, although I hope it's not too often. Really great experience.
After my door's lock coming out of the door and being stuck outside, calling multiple companies, Lock Solutions was the one. They came in quickly and even called to give updates on the way. Their pricing was very honest and super reasonable.
The technician, Anthony was a charm and was clearly very skilled. He pointed out exactly why the malfunction happened, explained what he's doing and even fixed another door installation mistake while here. I recently had my carpets professionally cleaned for a move out/move in at my rental property. The carpets were so dirty that they needed remedial work. Extremely happy with Browns Cleaners! In 2024, I took a simple, three quarter length black winter coat to Roundabout Laundry at 1097 Cyrville Rd, and they charged me $62.15 to have it dry cleaned. A few days ago, I took the same winter coat to Browns Cleaners on Beechwood and they charged me $32.54. At the end of September, I took some pants to be shortened at Stitch It in the Rideau Centre, they charged me $19.97. I took a pair of pants to get shortened today at Browns Cleaners and they charged me $12.43. If you can make it to Beechwood Avenue for your dry cleaning and tailoring needs, GO TO BROWNS CLEANERS!

He was punctual, on time every day, meticulous in his work and communicated every step in the process. We did quite a lot of research on flooring before we ran into this store, and surprisingly found they have the best prices and quality for flooring even compared with Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and other independent stores. They also offer installation services with a very reasonable rate. The owner is very friendly and would like to share info with customers. In addition, he has the factory behind his store and customizes products as requested. Great experience going with them and would definitely recommend the store to anyone.

We recently received defective flooring purchased at Flooring Canada for a kitchen renovation. Many of the boards were damaged and had defects stemming from poor quality control by the manufacturer. Flooring Canada was in no way responsible for the manufacturing problems. Andre was able to quickly resolve the issue to our entire satisfaction and we were able to exchange the defective flooring for a product of superior quality. Andre was very proactive, helpful and friendly, acting on our behalf in what could have been a messy dispute with the manufacturer. He was able transform what might have been a very stressful situation into a very positive customer experience.
The installation of the flooring, carried out by a professional from Flooring Canada, was completed recently. The installer was meticulous and highly skilled. We are delighted with our beautiful new kitchen floor.

The gorgeous Stoneworks vanity was built in Barrie. The glass shower door was designed & installed by MW Glass.

Long story short, they saved me thousands. Francis Home Environment told me my furnace was unsafe and needed to be replaced ASAP. Ercan's sent someone for a second opinion. The guy from Ercan's assured me there was nothing wrong aside from a valve that was $500 to fix.. A year later, and the furnace is still fine. Very impressed with their honesty.

It made me really anxious when I realized that animals entered my house. The sounds made me awake during the late evening, mid night or early morning. Also, I always thought that I had to pay a lot of money. My neighbour recommended Nature’s Way. Justin helped with my case. At the beginning, we all thought that this case is just a small piece costing one or two visits. However, no, animals are always know better how to survive. Justin was so patient, he gave me his cellphone number which allows me contact him as soon as I have new observation. Also he visited my house every week. He adjusted his device and method based on his observations. During the process, there were hope but also disappointment. I wanted to give up many times. But Justin is always very confident. Now, it has been 6 weeks. Finally, the sound disappeared. He carefully patched all the holes. I can sleep well now. Eventually I spent much less money than I thought. Definitely not thousands. Thank you so much, Justin. Hope more lucky families will served by you.
Hi I was very satisfied with the efforts made to locate and discover a sqyirrel nest ( my attic) which the baby squirrels had already aged out! LOL The running around was playfully scampering cute but loud. Once Akash found, checked the attic and went on the roof, he found on the side on the top of my roof the squirrels chewed through wood,he put up the one-way door cage. He also confirmed a week later that they had NOT BROKEN BACK IN. So it was ok. Then about another 10 days I called & arranged a time & then they put up this door as the permanent door to repell squirrels. It has openings like a fence. There's an extra cost for clean -up that I couldn't afford yet. but I will before autumn, fill up my attic with the insulation that would clog those holes. I hope. I have no problem recommending this company.
They were clean, timely, and very fair for a one animal intrusion; they were priced alot MORE reasonably than what Skedaddle charged me to have a guy put POISON in my attic and garage AND be done in 10 minutes: FOR $525.00. So we didnt get help for our squirrel nest ( which in the spring of next year I got a Quebecois man called THE KEVINATOR ( has a fuel surcharge for Ontario) to remove a mama & 5 new babies & in about an hour he took them to Quebec to an often use squirrel tree nest. He wasnt available. So I am so grateful that I WAS treated fair. I know times are tough but over charging makes ppl go elsewhere. Or look elsewhere. I hope all trades all remember a returning client is a free salesman and a reliable one forever.

Although the project was delayed a bit due to extreme heat, Nick and his team were extremely knowledgeable about lawn maintenance and did an excellent job correcting grading errors made by our pool company. We hired 2 Queens to remove our old deck and replace it with Interlock and stairs. You can tell the workmanship is top notch. Denis also replied back in a timely manner to all my texts and emails that I sent. Denis is a different contractor. He really cares about his clients and goes the extra mile. I am very pleased with the way everything turned out and especially happy with how professional the different crews and craftsmen were. When people visit they are always amazed at how much could be fit in a townhouse backyard without it looking like too much. Everyone comments on the beautiful large tiles used for the patio. This summer, a major part of my lawn was taken over by crabgrass. What a mess. It took a while to remove it; and then I had to make a decision as to how to recover my lawn. I had heard about a solution called slit seeding and contacted Dominic, at Primo Landscaping. He checked out my lawn, and told me he could help. It took him about half a day to complete the process. Dominic instructed me to water twice a day for 10 minutes, for two weeks. After two weeks, I couldn’t believe how much the grass had grown…totally unbelievable. The grass is thick and a beautiful green. I highly recommend using Primo Landscaping for your lawn seeding needs. They provide very professional, efficient service.

If I could rate them with a 6th star, I would. The crew were amazing. They dropped tree limbs between the fence and the house, a space of less than 10 feet, perfectly. They pruned or removed 4 trees in just over an hour and when they finished you could barely tell they had been there. A few days later the stumps had been ground. The price was totally reasonable, and less than I was expecting. Great communications, pleasant and competent staff. What else do you need?
I hired Solomon a couple of years ago to remove a few trees in my backyard. He gave me a fair quote and did the work within a couple of days of my first contacting him. He did an amazing job, so professional!!! That is why when I needed some more trees taken down a couple of weeks again I contacted him again. This time they were huge trees in my front yard, both really close to my house, one also tangled up in hydro lines- in other words a really complex job. He and his crew once again did an incredible job. I think there is nothing this guy can't do. And he is also quick- he came the day I called to give me a quote and did the work the next day. Added bonus he's a really decent guy. He came back today to cut some branches away from my roof and chimney that he'd noticed when he was here last week. Didn't charge me for it - just did it because he's a really good guy. I highly recommend him for any tree removal you need.

Our neighbours used this company to remove a dead tree towering over our house in Cumberland. Every single person I interacted with on the crew was a delight. We now know who we would call if our arborist friend wasn’t available.
Had a tree in my front yard that was about to come down over the road. Devon was at my place within 10 mins and secured the area the tree might have fallen on. He was back in an hour with his team and got the tree down, into the chipper and did a great job cleaning up all in 20 mins.

Michael Hodgson is hands-down the best RMT that I’ve ever had the pleasure to get a massage from. He has a magical touch with the right amount of pressure and my one hour sessions literally flies by every single time.
Mike is professional, down-to-earth and confident about his trade/skills. He knows what he’s doing and definitely knows how to make you feel better by the end of it. At the start of each session, he would ask me if there are any areas that are bothering me and works exclusively on those sections of my body to release the knots! The result is always the same - I would feel great mentally, emotionally and physically after a massage time and time again.
Expert tip: If you’re new client, do not be shy to ask Mike about all the services that he has to offer and he will explain them to you! Some additional services are charged extra but they are totally worth it. ?

I went today for the first time to get my first abdominal massage with Diana, which was great. She was extremely helpful, professional, and very knowledgeable. She treated me very well. When it comes to her, the massage was perfect. I’m glad I tried it and definitely will continue with her.
However, the clinic environment is not very professional or hygienic. The clinic staff never mentioned or told me during the booking that they have 2 dogs running around when I’m allergic to dogs.
When I was trying to relax and enjoy my massage, one of the dogs kept barking loudly. I would love to go back to book more massage sessions with Diana, but the only thing that’s stopping me from going back is the dog allergy. Dog was keep looking at me and barking while I was paying my bill at the cash.
Not sure why the clinic owner keeps their pets locked inside the clinic, it’s not even safe or fair to the dogs. Other than that it was an amazing experience. Thanks to Diana M Sheldrick. She did a great job.

I’d been waiting a long time to get a nose job, and although everyone kept telling me I didn’t need it, I wasn’t doing it for anyone but myself. I had a lump on my nose from a football injury when I was younger that had shifted its shape. When Peter examined my nose and took pictures, I showed him exactly what I wanted. On the day of the surgery, his staff and nurses made me feel so comfortable it felt like home. Now, I can say I absolutely love my nose—it’s exactly how I wanted it and even better. The price was high, but isn’t everything these days? I’m so happy and feel more confident than ever.

Great experience at St. Laurent Animal Hospital! We had to get our kitten Mortimer neutered and the staff was so lovely and friendly. Very disappointed with how my baby was treated. She's just a puppy and they had me give her trazadone. They charged me a behavioral fee. Not every dog will sit on the table like a statue, especially a puppy! They said she would have a hard life if she continued to act like this. My dog was groomed at another salon today and she was so relaxed and fell asleep on the table WITHOUT trazadone. I'm beside myself and heartbroken that I even took my baby here.
Took our 3-month-old puppy in for his first haircut and couldn’t be happier. The team was so sweet and made him feel comfortable, Kayla was extremely pleasant and accommodating. He left happy and looking great. We’ll definitely be back!

I started bringing my Havanese puppy to Fox and Hound and have had such a good experience. My little guy is sweet but wiggly (and honestly sometimes a chaos gremlin), and after some concerns with a previous grooming salon, I was honestly relieved to find Jenna. He's handled confidently, without issue, and always comes back looking oh so clean. Jenna is also great about communication for pickup timing and for booking future appointments.
This place is incredibly meticulous and professional! My dog always comes out clean, fresh, and smelling great. They also trim the nails very neatly. I’ve been here many times already and have always had a great experience. I’ll definitely keep coming back!
Our 2 cats, Maple and Freya, came back smelling great and beautiful. I dont know how they did it but they did an amazing job. I could never trim Maples nails while she is awake but they did it and in record time. When we brought them home, i could even feel that they are better tempered than before especially Maple. If I could give a higher rating than 5 I totally would. The staff are also very very helpful by answering questions I had about brushes.

I hired Marlene at La Tropiqua to do pedicures for the guests at a baby shower I hosted and it was fantastic. Marlene was great to work with in the lead up the party and all of the guests had a great time. It was such a nice way to spend the afternoon. Joanna is the most thorough physio I’ve worked with! It’s crazy how much work she can effectively fit into a 30min session. Im noticing big improvements day to day since we started the treatment plan and would highly recommend to anyone with musculoskeletal pain. Bonus that the chats are always fun. Thanks team :)
I’ve been coming to this clinic for over a decade. Everyone is very skilled & able to sleuth out root causes. Bhavika Shah is a newer physiotherapist at the clinic & I had to leave a review. She’s thorough & uber smart about causes of upper body tension & headaches. Within a few sessions I’m symptom-free & have a full plan for prevention & managing any issues while on a strenuous adventure trip.
After a year of false diagnoses from doctors and other medical practitioners, Raymon was finally able to correctly diagnose me with post concussion syndrome, and with his treatments I was able to fully recover and return to my life. Something that set him apart from other clinics was his dedication to my recovery, it was a long road and he never showed any signs of frustrations or giving up, and I thank him for that.

Great quality teaching! My instructor Lina provided very thorough and clear explanations on driving rules and techniques. She was patient and never hesitated to answer all of my questions . Thankfully I was able to pass my road exam on the first try thanks to Lina’s encouragement and excellent feedback. I highly recommend Safe2pass as a way to gain confidence and driving skills!
