I have been going here for over 6 months now, initially came here because I had a calf injury, where David helped me fully recover within a few weeks. I then continued physio for neck/trap pain and both David and Laurel have been super helpful. They take time to explain why I have pain in these areas and how to fix that pain long term .
Basement floor drain was backing up, creating a very smelly lake on the floor. Without trying to upsell me, Ron explained the options honestly, clearly, and patiently and understood that we were strapped for cash. He snaked the line, which was the least costly fix, kept at it until he was satisfied with the drainage rate, and cleaned up everything. The price was as listed on the Dr. Pipe website, and far, far better than what I was able to get other, larger, better-known plumbing companies in Ottawa to quote me over the phone. It's also worth noting that these companies charge about $90 to actually come over and give an estimate. Dr. Pipe does not. If they come over and give an estimate and you decline to have the work done at that time, they're okay with that, and there's no charge.
Overall, I was deeply impressed by Ron's competence and honesty, and his commitment when he put in extra time to make sure the job was done right.
Many Ottawa plumbers are blatantly unethical and use predatory pricing on people who are in a jam. Dr. Pipe is the opposite. I can't praise them highly enough.

It's a perfectly accessible tanning salon for your quick every day needs, I generally just go tanning to feel the heat a bit and also ensure the base color is always there.
They could definitely use some updates to when it comes to their machines, get newer beds or stand ups would be a great investment.
This location has always stood out to me when it comes to customer service. Unlike some otjer locations that rush clients through back-to-back appointments, the team here takes a more personal approach.
Tanya, in particular, consistently goes above and beyond. She takes the time to ask how your day is going and always follows up with a friendly “How was your tan?” It may seem like a small touch, but it really makes a difference and creates a welcoming experience.
That said, while the service is excellent, the space itself could benefit from a refresh. The rooms and storefront—across multiple locations—feel a sterile and could use some new paint and updates (this is not a cleanliness issue).
It would also be great to see some newer beds introduced at the St. Laurent location. The KBL bed is clearly popular and often fully booked.

I drive 20-30 min from Gatineau to come to Nova Nails, it is unmatched service!!! I have genuinely never had such a caring, gentle and curated experience in a nail salon. The staff is incredible, kind, clean and efficient! I have a weirdly shaped nail after breaking my finger and they apply gel and even extensions in a way that looks so natural. My nails last for ages and, even if I get extensions, my nail beds are never damaged. I love how the salon encourages strengthening and growing your natural nails, with their care my nails, which are soft and tear easily, have grown longer than I imagined possible! This is my forever salon ❤️

My feet were very rough, and Hana completely transformed them. Her massage technique was incredibly professional, and since I have plantar fasciitis, it honestly felt like she was treating that as well. I left feeling so relaxed and my feet have never felt better.

My daughter who is 16 years old loved getting highlights in her hair. The result was outstanding highlights, that were so subtle and gorgeous Staff were professional and friendly.
I am truly grateful to have stumbled upon Angie through reddit and instagram research - I wanted someone who had experience in creative colour ( in case I do that in the future as I love to switchit up) BUT also has an understanding in babylights/teasylights and keeping things natural and grow out well - WOW! She absolutely killed it (in a greatway!!!) my hair looks brighter (my blonde is popping more!) I feel blonde BUT she also added dimension and corrected lots of banding from my previous colorist. My previous colorist is so chill and an amazing person that i've been hesitant to make the leap elsewhere, but too many highlighting faux-pas and over processing have happened in the past, loads of hot root bleeds from highlights into other areas. etc. ANGIE saw the inconsistencies and wanted to fix them (I'm so grateful I sort of brushed them under the rug for a while convincing myself highlights are imperfect overall but look good altogether). BUT NOPE, you can and should heighten your expectations of your hair! Angie was able to reaaaalllly blend things. She used a 7 and weaved that as well as bleach throughout my hair with teasylights. My hair is just prismatic, so much shine and that effortless did-she or didn't she? blonde transition and blending with my natural roots and some scandi hairline money-pieces bits.LOOOONG review, but if you're on the cusp, debating a better experience, you are worth it and go for it! Angie was so focused throughout the experience, you can tell she loves what she does and is imaginative as well as she is technically skilled. Babylights/teasylights are NOT easy nor offered everwhere but she has the skillset for this service. I'm also really happy with the conversation that preceded the colour service, where we discussed exactly what we'd be doing and Angie had some great suggestions while also listening to what I wanted. She overdelivered! I'm 100% coming back. THANK YOU.

She tailored the makeup to fit my skin type and even the weather condition for the day (it was very humid), and the makeup wasnt melting off my face by the end of the day (she also provides you with a small touch up kit as well just in case).Gen made me feel completely at ease, she has a naturally very warm and friendly personality and her studio reflects it as well, so I didnt feel like I was interrupting her process when I mentionned I had a slight eye sensitivity, which she was very accomodating to and did a great job as well as I experienced little to no tearing during it. Overall, I am very happy with my decision of choosing Gen to make my graduation memories even more special. Definitely a 10/10!

Going to The Ink Spot to see Shawn was the smartest choice I could of made when choosing the right studio and the right artist for the nightmare of a coverup I desperately needed on my neck! He not only came up with a unique custom piece of art but he also added different colours making it stand out beyond anything I could of expected. Also he was able to finish it in 4 hrs! I highly recommend Shawn and/or any of the other employees at The Ink Spot any day of the week!!!

She has an incredibly light hand and always has fun during the whole time youre in her seat. She is the best tattoo artist I've ever had and i would be devestated if she stopped tattooing.
Kyle has the most calming presence during piercings. He is thorough and supportive. He dedicates extra time to answer any questions you may have and his demeanor is soothing while he's piercing you.

My tattoo was Ian Rose. My consult with him lasted almost two hours, uncharged. You only pay for tattoo time. He took my very basic vision and created masterpiece and then inked on my arm.
The process was perfect. I would highly recommend Sage to anyone who wants high quality, customer focused experience. If you haven't had a tattoo before, this is where you go to get one.

I had multiple piercings done at Silverline Tattoo and Piercings Studio, and overall I had a great experience.
The studio itself is in a convenient location, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. The space feels creative, welcoming, and professionally designed. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and it was easy to book appointments over the phone. They also have an ATM on site, although they primarily accept cash.
What impressed me most was their professionalism regarding jewelry and healing. For first-time piercings, they only offer appropriate jewelry options and explain why certain pieces should not be changed until healing is complete. They provide detailed aftercare instructions, have health and allergy forms to complete beforehand, and take the time to educate clients about proper healing.
My first visit was for ear piercings, including some trickier placements. Dei was gentle, professional, and the process was surprisingly painless. One of my earring backs came loose within the first week, and I also felt one of the posts could have been slightly longer. However, when I returned, they immediately fixed everything free of charge, which I greatly appreciated. Seeing Dei again on my most recent visit was lovely. She remembered me right away, which made me feel genuinely welcomed and showed how much they value their returning clients.
My second visit was with Evelyn for a belly button piercing and a few additional piercings. She was absolutely wonderful. The entire procedure was quick, efficient, and professional. She marked the area carefully, cleaned everything thoroughly, and completed the piercing before I even had time to get nervous. The experience was smooth and nearly painless. We also had a lovely conversation afterward, and she was genuinely kind and uplifting.
On that same visit, I had an issue with the ATM, and although they normally prefer cash, the staff kindly accommodated me by accepting an e-transfer. That level of flexibility and customer service was greatly appreciated.
I recently returned for another appointment with Evelyn, where she did my rook piercing, double tragus - dermal piercing. Once again, she was exceptional. She took her time with the placement, maintained excellent hygiene throughout the procedure, and made the entire experience feel calm and comfortable. Even with multiple piercings in one appointment, everything was done efficiently and with great attention to detail.
One of the highlights of this visit was that both Evelyn and Dei remembered me from my previous appointments. Evelyn even noticed that I had changed my hair color, which was such a thoughtful detail and made me feel like more than just another client. It’s those little personal touches, combined with their professionalism and genuine kindness, that make this studio stand out.

I have gotten piercings here twice and have also gotten piercings tapered back open as well. Every time I have been here, I have had a wonderful experience. They are professional, and hold themselves to a very high standard for sanitation and quality. The environment is cozy and welcoming.
Most recently, I got my nostril repierced by Ellie after it had closed up. She did an awesome job and it is healing really smoothly. She also tapered back open my lobe and again, the experience was super smooth. She is great at taking the time to explain everything and asking if you have any questions.
They have a stunning jewelry collection too. I totally get the reviews that say the pricing is higher for jewelry. What I will say is that any jewelry I’ve gotten here has been super high quality, has not shown signs of wear, etc. I also appreciate the warranties on the pieces and knowing that if I were to see signs of wear, something can be done about it.

Basement floor drain was backing up, creating a very smelly lake on the floor. Without trying to upsell me, Ron explained the options honestly, clearly, and patiently and understood that we were strapped for cash. He snaked the line, which was the least costly fix, kept at it until he was satisfied with the drainage rate, and cleaned up everything. The price was as listed on the Dr. Pipe website, and far, far better than what I was able to get other, larger, better-known plumbing companies in Ottawa to quote me over the phone. It's also worth noting that these companies charge about $90 to actually come over and give an estimate. Dr. Pipe does not. If they come over and give an estimate and you decline to have the work done at that time, they're okay with that, and there's no charge.
Overall, I was deeply impressed by Ron's competence and honesty, and his commitment when he put in extra time to make sure the job was done right.
Many Ottawa plumbers are blatantly unethical and use predatory pricing on people who are in a jam. Dr. Pipe is the opposite. I can't praise them highly enough.

Kevin and Luke were our electricians for our entire off grid homestead build. It was a big job and had extra complicated steps as we are completely powered by solar and wanted a generator bypass wired in. They were great to work with and always responsive to texts or calls. I just came in to ask the price of replacement of the handle of the hose from our central vac. The place was like 90 percent full of vacuums waiting to be fixed. Quite impressive!
I would make this a 10 star review, if I could, after our 2nd visit. UPDATE. The fan belt stayed on, but the plastic bit that had broken did not. We had to order a replacement part. Capital Appliance ordered the part and sent out their technician as soon it arrived. I was expecting at least $500 in cost, but they only charged for the part (less than $100 and cheaper than any supply I could find online). AND they didn't charge for the visit, even though it had been almost 2 months since the initial fix. Can't recommend this company enough.
First review (Sept 2025) solid 5 stars for Capital Appliance Repair in Ottawa and Yuri, the technician who came to give the diagnostic look at our washing machine. Like the 4 other companies I reached out to, including the international home hardware store I bought the appliance from 3 years ago, Capital had a fee for sending someone out to see what was wrong. It was the smallest of the fees by more than half - AND they deduct it from the bill if we decide to move ahead with the repair from them once they give their estimate.
Yuri was able to tell us what was wrong and repair it immediately, as it did not require new parts. He told us that if the machine broke down again within the next month, we would only be charged for any needed parts, not labour. It's an hour later, and I'm happily washing clothes for the first time in over a week! I will use this local company from now on when our appliances need repairs, although I hope it's not too often. Really great experience.

It is such a pleasure to deal with this small, family-run business. I have received exceptional service from Peacock Rug Care on two occasions. In 2020, Murray Peacock provided consultation, treatment and follow up for a paint stain on a newly installed wool carpet. Personable, professional, and reasonably priced, the service was excellent from start to finish. Our carpet received the the same level of exceptional care this week when Austin Peacock came to do a deep clean. This brand of friendly, knowledgeable service and good value is easily a 5/5. I needed two large five seater sectional couches cleaned after home renovation project. The two guys arrived with smiles they explained the process. Hoses run from the truck heavy duty equipment they lay down floor protectors and use proprietary spray. Very professional and pleasant experience and my couches look great.

I had a handmade wool rug cleaned after a cat sprayed it. Extremely happy with Browns Cleaners! In 2024, I took a simple, three quarter length black winter coat to Roundabout Laundry at 1097 Cyrville Rd, and they charged me $62.15 to have it dry cleaned. A few days ago, I took the same winter coat to Browns Cleaners on Beechwood and they charged me $32.54. At the end of September, I took some pants to be shortened at Stitch It in the Rideau Centre, they charged me $19.97. I took a pair of pants to get shortened today at Browns Cleaners and they charged me $12.43. If you can make it to Beechwood Avenue for your dry cleaning and tailoring needs, GO TO BROWNS CLEANERS!

We got a match in the Wickham (all Canadian) product line. The wood and finished floors looks beautiful. Ibrahim T., did a wonderful job on the installation. He was punctual, on time every day, meticulous in his work and communicated every step in the process. We did quite a lot of research on flooring before we ran into this store, and surprisingly found they have the best prices and quality for flooring even compared with Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and other independent stores. They also offer installation services with a very reasonable rate. The owner is very friendly and would like to share info with customers. In addition, he has the factory behind his store and customizes products as requested. Great experience going with them and would definitely recommend the store to anyone.
I’m very happy that I contacted Advantage Flooring & Renovations! Jay came by my condo for consultation regarding my flooring concerns, and I was so impressed by his honesty. Instead of trying to make a sale or push me into unnecessary upgrades, he took the time to explain what my floors actually needed and he taught me something new! It’s rare to find contractors who prioritize their customer’s best interests over a quick sale. After a series of unsuccessful efforts to land an appointment with carpet installation companies, my husband decided to visit End of the Roll at St. Laurent last minute just to attempt to inquire about the services. We came there at around 5:30pm and we were welcomed by Denise. She was very jolly and pleasant. She gladly answered all our queries and even suggested good carpets of our preference. Since my husband and I are expecting our first child, she gave us good choices for baby-friendly and foolproof carpets. What I even liked about her is her dedication to her work. Eventhough it was closing time, she still took the extra mile to cater our needs until we sealed the deal. When the day of the initial inspection came, the guy was very keen to check all the measurements required. Upon carpet installation, the staffs that came by our place were very nice and they did their job very quickly but efficiently. The results were amazingly excellent! It’s very neat and tidy. Professionally done from start to finish! Kudos to everyone! My husband and I were very satisfied of the outcome. I would highly recommend this experience! Matt Henein at MDK Renovations did a “bang-up” job renovating our out-dated bathroom. Every detail was expertly attended to. The sub-contractors he works with (electrician, plumber, dry-waller) were professional and efficient. The materials we chose are modern and will last our lifetime. The gorgeous Stoneworks vanity was built in Barrie. The glass shower door was designed & installed by MW Glass.

Ercans was referred to us by a friend and it was the best thing that happened to us. Oz came by to look at our furnace that was red tagged and he recommended a replacement at a very good price and we decided to go ahead with it after getting two other quotes. What a good choice. Although the project was delayed a bit due to extreme heat, Nick and his team were extremely knowledgeable about lawn maintenance and did an excellent job correcting grading errors made by our pool company. We hired 2 Queens to remove our old deck and replace it with Interlock and stairs. You can tell the workmanship is top notch. We hired Kenstonework Home Solutions to do some interlock and foundation repair work for us in Stittsville in April 2026. We found Ken and his team to be polite, punctual and professional. They worked hard and we were pleased with the overall quality of the job they did.

I recently contacted KJ to inquire on a new garden bed & cedar planting at the front of my house. Even though the job wasn't a big one, Jamie was on site quickly to provide me with a quote. This summer, a major part of my lawn was taken over by crabgrass. What a mess. It took a while to remove it; and then I had to make a decision as to how to recover my lawn. I had heard about a solution called slit seeding and contacted Dominic, at Primo Landscaping. He checked out my lawn, and told me he could help. It took him about half a day to complete the process. Dominic instructed me to water twice a day for 10 minutes, for two weeks. After two weeks, I couldn’t believe how much the grass had grown…totally unbelievable. The grass is thick and a beautiful green. I highly recommend using Primo Landscaping for your lawn seeding needs. They provide very professional, efficient service.

Our neighbours used this company to remove a dead tree towering over our house in Cumberland. Every single person I interacted with on the crew was a delight. We now know who we would call if our arborist friend wasn’t available.
Had a tree in my front yard that was about to come down over the road. Devon was at my place within 10 mins and secured the area the tree might have fallen on. He was back in an hour with his team and got the tree down, into the chipper and did a great job cleaning up all in 20 mins.

I've been treated by Dr. Lee for a few months now and have seen significant improvements to my back pain. I have been bringing my cat Salami to this vet for close to 4 years now. Recently, Salami has been seeing Dr Pott for many of her appointments. She is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond what is necessary when examining Salami. I hired Marlene at La Tropiqua to do pedicures for the guests at a baby shower I hosted and it was fantastic. Marlene was great to work with in the lead up the party and all of the guests had a great time. It was such a nice way to spend the afternoon. Marlene brought everything with her and even had spa music playing while doing the pedicures. I would highly recommend!

I have been going to Lori for years and it has been a consistently positive experience. She is kind, attentive, and warm. I have put 5 stars because without Bhavika Shah (Physiotherapist) I would still be struggling. After dealing with increasing pain in both shoulders for months, I knew it was time to seek help. I had tendonosis and osteoarthritis in both shoulders and decreased mobility and range of motion. I was a mess! But then I met Bhavika at the Ottawa Osteopathy & Sports Therapy clinic. She was AMAZING and I owe her full credit for giving me back my range of motion and pain reduction. She knew exactly how to deal with shoulder issues in a manageable program and gave me easy at home exercises to do that kept y progressing moving forward between visits. In addition, the clinic is clean, professional, front staff are responsive, available and friendly. If you are considering this clinic, you won’t be disappointed!
Nathalie Chartier is the most knowledgeable physiotherapist I know. She is open to and she has been trained in other disciplines that she uses to treat patients. She takes a wholistic approach and applies her knowledge accordingly. I love how she explains the method she uses and the reason for it as she treats me. Nathalie is knowledgeable and personable.
Staff are kind, friendly and accommodating as well as very knowledgeable. I’ve had amazing results with my treatments. Highly recommend the Ottawa Westboro location and have done so to many friends.

A year ago, after I gave birth, I got plantar fasciitis on my right foot. I was in so much pain that I felt like I couldn't walk or even hold my newborn baby. I went for treatment here for a duration of 3 months and the pain is completely gone and has been gone ever since. Very grateful for their work and support!

I’ve been seeing Arlene for about 4 sessions, and she is wonderful. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate, and always makes me feel heard. I never feel rushed, and she takes the time to explain things and ensure I’m comfortable. I’ve been very happy with my experience and the results I’ve seen so far.

I am a regular runner and was looking for an RMT to address some persistent muscle tightness issues. I am new to the Myosense clinic and started sessions with Keith.
He took the time to listen to my concerns, and targeted the exact problem areas with the perfect amount of pressure. I felt immediate relief after my first session with Keith and walked out feeling lighter and more mobile. His level of skill and knowledge are really impressive! I did not know about the RAPID-NFR technique until meeting him. I also appreciated that he suggested some great stretches to do between sessions to help treat the issues.
I highly recommend Keith if you need skilled, therapeutic work done!
Both my spouse and I have seen Dr. Guo for treatment after having been referred to him. He is a pleasant, soft spoken gentleman and his treatments have worked wonders. My wife had severe sciatic pain and he was able to reverse the symptoms in three treatments and I saw him for a shoulder problem and was cured in two treatments. I have referred a number of friends to Dr. Guo all of whom, have spoken glowingly about him. If you're serious about curing your illness rather than just masking the pain with sedatives, I encourage you to visit Dr. Guo.

Toronto Truck Driving School is really good. Yuvi Sir provided excellent in-yard training and explained everything clearly. Thanks to his guidance, I passed my road test on my first attempt. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for professional truck driving training.
I am from the Philippines and when I came here in Canada last October 2025, the first thing I did was to look for a driving school close to my place. Fortunately, among the accredited list from MTO, I found Queensway1 Driving School Ottawa (Hayder Driving Training). I immediately enrolled myself for a complete BDE course. I started November and I finished it April 2026. When I took the G1 written test, I passed right away because all the tips that Hayder gave me were very useful! The drivetest centre also told me that I can challenge a G road test because of my driving experience in the Ph. I began my in-car driving lessons with Hayder a week after my written test and I could say that he was so patient, knowledgeable and an excellent teacher in his expertise! He taught me all the things I need to know practically in driving and the essential skills not only to pass the G road test but also to be a good driver. Today, I took the G road test, and by God’s grace, I was able to pass it! My heart is so full and I feel like crying! I am very grateful to Hayder for all the support and teachings he shared. I passed my G2 with Ruaa 1.5 years back and she was absolutely fantastic!! I again went to her for my G road test and passed today afternoon. Ruaa is the best instructor!! she is very knowledgeable, gives guidance very clearly, has alot of patience and always nice, anwers all your questions. I would recommend anyone who is looking to do drive tests please go to Ruaa, you will pass!! She makes you relaxed and confident!

Larry’s Driving School is a great place to learn. Param Puji is a fantastic instructor professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. When I first met Param, I didn’t know much about driving I just knew how to move a car. Param was extremely patient with me and took the time to teach me everything step by step, making sure I understood each part of the process. Thanks to his guidance and support, I’m happy to say that I now have both my G2 and G license on my first attempt.
Muruga was fantastic throughout the process. He adjusted the schedule to fit my availability and ensured I felt confident behind the wheel. I was able to clear my test thanks to all the helpful tips during the training sessions. I highly recommend him!!
