I have been getting my hair cut by Jess for a few years now and I love her. She is so friendly, her salon is clean and comfortable, and she gives me great haircuts. I have uneven wavy curls and she's the first hairdresser I've been to that can make it look good in a way that I can recreate and maintain at home (I'm very low-maintenance).
The owner was so kind and saw my daughter last minute (almost at closing time) to wash and dry her hair after surgery. We so appreciate how accommodating he was! Also, it was our first time there and the salon is bright, clean and welcoming.

I have been coming to Le Look many times in the last 10+ years, and Joseph never disappoints. From great haircuts, to great conversation and everything in between. Joseph has made me feel very valued as a regular customer at this studio, he even remembers details about my family from many years ago! I can't believe Fernandino Hair Salon in Rideau would charge $100 for a woman's short hair cut. No wash wanted. My 18yr old son decided he was going to pay for my cut and it was $100?!? No way. Never again. No wonder the place was empty.
Mario is the best barber I've ever experienced. My first haircut by Mario was in 1985. New to Ottawa, I was going for a job interview and needed to look my best. Well, I did get the job! And since then have always had my hair cut by Mario. Thank you Mario.
Awesome place. I took my son there and he got the first ever hair cut that he's truly happy with. Super reasonably priced for the level of service you're getting. We drove an hour to get here and it was totally worth the drive. 10/10 will be back.

Visiting Jay is like going to see a great friend! You can tell how loved he is when each client comes in and feels the same way. It’s not a chore to get your scheduled haircut, you can actually relax and have a nice time with each conversation being accompanied by an adorable furry friend (legally allowed!). I schedule my days off to go with my partner for every single one of his haircuts to enjoy his company. The salon is incredibly clean and welcoming. I cannot recommend him enough!

There are plenty of places marketing all sorts of frivolous barbershop experiences at silly prices.
Adil simply provides what is needed: a proper haircut, at a fair price, in a classic manner.
What I value the most? My son is special needs and has taken a while to get used to the idea of a hair cut. Adil has been patient with him all along the process: from where a haircut was practically a "sit on top of him" to the point now where my son happily comes in and says "HI MR ADIL NUMBER FOUR PLEASE" and Adil takes care of the work, and remembers the things that make my son nervous and does them carefully.
If you have a special needs child and have had bad experiences elsewhere? go see Adil, and you and your child will have a lovely experience together.

Great barbershop, good to know that the barbershop atmosphere we all used to go to experience still exists. All staff were very nice, Eddie, in particular gave me nothing short of a great barber shop experience. Stop is kept very clean and tidy, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a barber shop in Barrhaven or anywhere in Ottawa.

Bella's Glamour & Laser Studio has everything you'd want in a beauty salon plus the amazing Bella and her daughter, Gelena. These ladies know how to pamper you. Bella recently pierced my niece's ears and did a beautiful job. Added bonus -- the mall the salon is located in has a good selection of stores (as well as a Timmy's) and lots of free parking.
I had a gift certificate and had a shellac manicure and pedicure with Lee. Will definitely be back. Clean, great selection and attention to detail!
Liss is a wonderful, talented and kind hearted nail tech. From the moment I walked in she made sure I was comfortable and felt welcome. She, my husband and I had a lovely conversation the whole time she was doing my nails and she made sure everything turned out perfectly! Her setup is immaculate (very very clean!). Cleanliness: This Salon is always clean and always busy. But they do try to accommodate for walk-ins. The work they do is great! It takes me 45 minutes to get there (there are closer salons) but it is worth every minute of the drive there and back!
I've had a few services now: new acrylic set, pedicure, and today a refill and colour change on toes. Also gave me free advice on caring for a damaged nail a few days ago and returned today for my fill as per their instruction. Excellent service, and good prices. Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the ladies who helped me before but today was helped by Chloe and she was fabulous.

Zara is very detailed and passionate at what she does. I’ve gotten a lash lift from her a few times and each time my lashes looked amazing. I can go at least a month without wearing mascara because of the high quality product she uses and her skills.

I have been going to Tony for many years. He is an amazing man. Trained as a doctor in China.As well he his Masters and Doctorate in Medicine from China. On top of that he is a a registered massage therapist and acupuncturist (and continues to do extra courses). I have sent at least ten friends to him with a variety of often long term injuries, all with wonderful results. If he can't cure you , nobody can. I have had excellent results with Tony using deep tissue massage but also had wonderful results with acupuncture. One day I slipped on the stairs, sprained my ankle very badly. With acupuncture I was easily walking 10 km in a week's time. I have been to him for acupuncture for a number of injuries, insomnia and Seasonal Affective Disorder.I highly recommend him in all ways.
I’ve been seeing Micheline for laser hair removal for a few months now. I’ve had 4 treatments done and the difference is amazing! I have not had to remove any hair on my face or under arms in over three weeks. It’s really life changing. Micheline is so great at what she does, and very personable. Highly recommend!!!

I started visiting Bernadett for Botox about 5 years ago and was so pleased with those results I decided to try some of her other services. The results from the laser treatment for sun damage was absolutely amazing. She removed years off my skin and I now feel comfortable wearing little to no makeup. When I come back to visit family I ALWAYS make an appointment to get my nails done here (south end location) They ensure the work is flawless, perfect thickness, perfect length, perfect shape, I always leave satisfied. I have a hard time finding the same consistency in Timmins. Yesterday was an especially great experience, as I started losing my real nail (I superglued it for the time being. crushed finger) I let the front desk know, and informed my tech as well, he made sure to take his time, was very gentle, turned the speed down on his dremel when working on that particular nail. My nails are perfect once again, and I feel much better. couldn't be happier

We hired Ottawa General Contractors to renovate our main floor. We took down almost all of the inside walls in order to create an open concept and moved the kitchen from one area to another. Our experience with OGC was very smooth and professional from start to finish. All the trades people they hired were very respectful, knowledgeable and efficient. Our project manager (Adam Radmore) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in executing the project. He took the time to answer every question we had and helped us make informed decisions when something would come up by explaining all the different options to us. We had a couple of hiccups come up during the project but he made sure the correct steps were taken to fix the problems. The work done by OGC was very professional and a high quality. I would definitely recommend OGC to anyone looking to do a major renovation in their house.
Last year I had ice damming issues. Had my old insulation removed, attic sealed and new cellulose put in. The home feels much more comfortable. Looking forward to see how well we did in the winter.

Had Abell here last week to deal with a wasp issue. Tech Neil H. was thorough, friendly, a great communicator, and highly conscientious. We had a problem with Box Elder Bugs, they are harmless but very annoying and when we asked him he showed up the very next morning to accommodate us! Plus he guarantees their work that if it’s not reduced by 95% after seven days he will come back to spray again. Thank you Nate!

We have used FM Interlock on multiple occasions each time being the exact same experience - excellent! Franco, John & team have incredible attention to detail and their quality of work is very evident. They have now completed the landscaping and interlock work on our entire property and we couldn't be more pleased. We have also referred them to others with great success. In Ottawa, you need to look hard for high quality trades. This is definitely one of the best.

Ashley the receptionist and Lina the Dental Hygienist were absolutely lovely, and Dr. Liu seems very approachable and explained my treatment options in a very accessible way. Their demeanor and personability made the situation way less stressful for me than it otherwise could have been, and I really appreciate that <3
My dog has been going here since she was a puppy. They do a fantastic job of finding the right groomer out of all of them that bonds well with your puppy and giving you great service, every time.

We have been taking our Havenese to Deb for almost 5 years. Our dog is pretty anxious but never has any anxiety for grooming with Deb and always comes out with a perfect cut!
My dog Cookie has been going to Uptown Pet Grooming for years. It took a few tries to nail a perfect look for my Cookie, but once it was down, Cookie always comes out of the groomer’s looking and smelling absolutely perfect to me! Cookie is an anxious dog, but since going to Uptown she has learned to not only be comfortable with Laurie and Ellen, but slowly warm up to the other dogs being groomed there. It speaks volumes to me about Laurie and Ellen’s care when Cookie comes out of the groomer’s excited.Laurie and Ellen are absolute stars, and though they are very busy, will always try to accommodate. If you also want to switch up your dog’s look, they will try to see what’s best and recommend any cuts that they think might look good.Cannot recommend this place enough!
Just came back from Barrkhaven after picking up my 6 month old Golden Doodle (Max). They said he was well behaved which made me happy as it was his first time to the salon. The results of their efforts was fantastic. He looks great and will be a regular customer in the future. They obviously are very talented and committed to excellence. Saw Nancy Kahl today for a massage to help with back pain. She is so lovely and knowledgeable! She started and finished with a scan of my range of motion which I’ve never had a RMT do before. Her technique was gentle enough that I wasn’t just in pain for an hour but also effective enough for loosening up the tightness in my muscles. She made me feel super comfortable through the entire process and also suggested some stretches and movements to add to my workouts. The clinic is clean and scheduling was convenient and easy with lots of availability. Very happy to have found Nancy and this clinic!
