Appliance Repair in Ottawa

“I would make this a 10 star review, if I could, after our 2nd visit. UPDATE. The fan belt stayed on, but the plastic bit that had broken did not. We had to order a replacement part. Capital Appliance ordered the part and sent out their technician as soon it arrived. I was expecting at least $500 in cost, but they only charged for the part (less than $100 and cheaper than any supply I could find online). AND they didn't charge for the visit, even though it had been almost 2 months since the initial fix. Can't recommend this company enough.

First review (Sept 2025) solid 5 stars for Capital Appliance Repair in Ottawa and Yuri, the technician who came to give the diagnostic look at our washing machine. Like the 4 other companies I reached out to, including the international home hardware store I bought the appliance from 3 years ago, Capital had a fee for sending someone out to see what was wrong. It was the smallest of the fees by more than half - AND they deduct it from the bill if we decide to move ahead with the repair from them once they give their estimate.

Yuri was able to tell us what was wrong and repair it immediately, as it did not require new parts. He told us that if the machine broke down again within the next month, we would only be charged for any needed parts, not labour. It's an hour later, and I'm happily washing clothes for the first time in over a week! I will use this local company from now on when our appliances need repairs, although I hope it's not too often. Really great experience.“
