Ellen is amazing. My kittens absolutely adored her, and she treated them like family. It’s rare to find someone who brings both professionalism and genuine love—Ellen does both effortlessly. She also groomed my Ragdoll cat and even helped with training, which made a noticeable difference. I’m so grateful and would highly recommend her!
Mindspire did a great job matching a tutor to my student who had some learning challenges. His tutor, Chrissy N, did a great job putting him at ease, building his confidence, and tailoring her instruction to his needs. She worked with him over a relatively short period of time, and his ACT composite score came up 6 points between the mock test he took at the beginning of tutoring and his actual test.
KK has her Permit!! Huge shout out to Johnson Driving Academy!! Ms. Pam led KK's online classes on the weekends, her driving classes with Mr. Bullock only took 3 days. KK went straight to the Carrboro DMV and passed on her first try due to their Excellent Training. Highly recommend! 10/10 stars!!

Nicky has been cutting my hair for years now and it's always an amazing experience! If you enjoyed getting a cut from her when she was at Arrow, she's doing her own thing now on Broad St. Nicky is laid back, easy to chat with, and (most importantly) an incredible barber. If she ever moves out of the area, I'll either be booking flights to get a haircut or just get dreadlocks.

I'm not Dr. Friedman's patient. I have met and dealt with him in a different setting. However, I am not a friend or family member. He might come off a bit brusque because his mind is very academic and balancing many things at once. He cares deeply about helping people (especially children) beat cancer. He does his best to compartmentalize the tragedies cancer creates, but his forward scientific thinking has helped save many lives. He doesn't have a God complex. He is human who tries to balance his own friendships and family with a job that requires him to help people navigate uncertain prognosis, experimental treatments, and in some instances a very tragic early death. People are not experiments for Dr. Friedman and he is perhaps more spiritual than even he himself realizes. I think even for the souls he can't save he takes solace in the fact a creator is protecting their soul until such time as they can inherit a new body. There is a warm side to this persnickety fellow but when a person spends their life fighting death on behalf of others they have to become stoic in a certain sense (for their own sanity).
Betsy is one of the kindest, most thoughtful and most competent providers I have had. She never makes me feel rushed and she always treats me like a whole person, getting to know about my actual life so that she has context for my symptoms and she treats me like a partner in my own care. It’s like talking to a friend. She makes me feel so comfortable and cared for.

Her teaching style was both challenging and extremely helpful, especially when it came to working with real toes. The class was the perfect balance between a refresher and an advanced, health-focused deep dive. Nancy’s approach is innovative, detailed, and inspiring.
What really stood out was Nancy’s generosity and hospitality. She made the class extremely accommodating—providing snacks, drinks, and even buying lunch for all of us. Made an appointment for a last minute birthday trim and was grateful to see that Skye had an opening since I was previously her client at the salon's former location. I remembered how much I loved my cut then, along with how knowledgeable Skye is with all things hair, how friendly she is with sharing that wealth of knowledge, and how how her skills ultimately show for it! I had an unexpected commitment scheduled right after the appointment, and I SO appreciated Skye being accommodating and understanding - literally going turbo speed WITHOUT compromising the quality of the cut, and still being able to chat about my hair, and other non-hair related topics. While Skye surely channeled some additional Leo/fabulous energy for today's birthday cut, what I love the most is that I felt treated the same at my last appointment over four years ago. I went to Sunny to get my haircut and it was fantastic slight layer and U-shape. I feel much lighter after my haircut! She introduced me to her friend Sunny where I did my eyelashes perm and microblading! The natural feeling of the eyelashes and the curl was so good and long lasting, totally get my point of no-makeup look. She is very nice and gentle. Good price and worth to try!!

Great place to get a quality haircut. I go to Jason W. He is the best! Nick is a great barber too! Every barber there seems very skilled and I haven’t seen anyone leave dissatisfied. Kid friendly atmosphere and they have very diverse clientele. I would recommend booking an appointment but walk ins are welcome. If you’re from out of town or looking for a new barber for you or your kids, check them out!

Ali is an amazing guy. When I arrived to my appointment, he was preoccupied with a phone call for a bit, around 15 minutes. However, after he finished my cut, he completely refunded it for me and apologized for the inconvenience. I’ve never had a barber exhibit such courtesy and empathy—he did it without even letting me know. What a stand-up guy, I’d definitely recommend you give him a visit!

Not sure where to start. I haven't visited a hair salon in over 15+years, because I normally do my own thing with my hair, not having much confidence in anyone. However, I needed my hair cut and style, so I started surfing the internet, and came across Black Pearl. The reviews did it for me, so I decided to give Ms Tina a shot at it. I went there with a very open mind, hoping for the best, but at the same time expecting anything. Let me tell you, Ms Tina was amazing in every sense of the word. She was very warm and inviting, very knowledgeable in her field. She works magic with her hands. To say the least I was very impressed the way she handled her skill. What an awesome hair stylist with a great personality. To crown it off she did a lot of teaching, educating me on my hair type and the products that would work best. I received so many compliments on my hair cut from family members, friends and strangers alike. I am so excited, experimenting with different styles and just loving it all the way. I recently moved to Durham and knew that I needed a new hairstylist. I found Tiffany at the recommendation of a family member. We had an initial consultation to discuss my hair concerns and Tiffany was very attentive and knowledgeable. I'm leery about who I allow to do my hair but I had a feeling she was someone I'd be able to trust with my crown and I was right. My hair had been through some changes and while it wasn't majorly damaged, it was in need of some TLC and Tiffany provided that. She took the time to listen to my concerns and desires but also offered suggestions based on her expertise. Within 3 months of going every other week, I noticed a vast improvement in both the condition as well as the length of my hair. I came to her relaxed but I expressed that I eventually want to get blonde streaks so she is putting me on a plan to safely transition my hair from relaxed to natural and black to blonde. I am so glad that I found Tiffany. She is easy to talk to and knows her stuff when it comes to hair. Her shop is clean and well decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. Kellie is a very skilled hair stylist and has been so good to me. I have allergies that are serious enough to be dangerous in a salon situation and she has been so careful and respectful. If you have deadly allergies, then you know how often you can get gaslit or have people put you in danger out of thoughtlessness or rudeness. She was also happy to help direct me to relevant shampoos and products for my hair, even if it's not something she sells. I really appreciate the no-pressure feeling I get with Kellie.

Man. This was just the best experience I have ever had. Even though this was my first tattoo, I have been into multiple tattoo shops (for piercings, which they do not do, which is perfectly fine), and this was the BEST environment I have ever been in. I usually find tattoo shops can be abrasive and kind of scary (I am a newbie so this is probably just me), but Kings Ave was the opposite. Knowing it was my first, they offered me coffee, water, and multiple breaks. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Logan, my artist, did a CLEAN job. I have gotten SO many compliments on my tattoo from random people and friends, and I have only had it for three days. There were other artists there also, and they were great too. I plan on getting my whole leg done and will NOT go anywhere else. 10/10.Requested style: American Traditional
Alexis was very easy to work with. I like the work but for what I got was very over priced. Wasn't expecting to spend $130 including tip. It was to expensive for three words and a purple ?. Next time I'll make sure I ask for price first uhh! This was not worth $130. When they see this, I hope they offer me something for over charging me. At least let me get half my money back.
Update: Went back to the shop and was accommodated and was able to touch up my tat and was satisfied with how they handled the issue.

Could not recommend Sacred Mandala enough. I worked with the artist Alan Lott and he did an incredible job. He was extremely easy to work with and to bounce ideas off of. I really liked how he would explain the process and why he thought something would work or not. I had sessions in both of their studios they were both very clean and organized. More people that I expected have asked where I got it done and who the artist was. Alan is a master at sacred geometry.
This is my second time getting a tattoo here. 1st one was done by Charlie and my 2nd was done by Nick. Both were super friendly, artistic, and professional. Mavis & Lucas at the front desk are super awesome and informative. There’s a good vibe there, like everyone seems to work well together and support one another. Shop was clean and neat, and there’s ton of amazing art and knick-knack decor to keep you occupied while getting tattooed. I’ll most likely be returning!

I used MSS -Ortiz services when I had a new Pool pump installed. State and County requirements required an Electrician pull permits and install the new pump to ensure it was properly wired and grounded. MSA was extremely helpful and responsive to my concerns. The main issue I had was with the County's red tape and the week delay in issuing the permit after MSS had requested it the same day I hired them. Matt came out to the site originally to look at the project the same day I called him. He was also on site to ensure the County's Inspectors concerns were addressed immediately. I would definitely use their services again.
We have used A&S on several occasions through the years and always get timely, courteous and well done repairs. I can recall oven, microwave and now gas dryer service. All has gone well and we will definitely use again if necessary.

T&C responded promptly to a pressing need to repair our failing refrigerator. On Thursday Terry diagnosed the problem; on Friday the office staff ordered the part; and on Sunday they called to schedule the service on Monday. The service was completed and the refrigerator restored to working order, and Terry even adjusted the door so it was properly aligned. I'm very happy with the result.
Mr. Stewart, the company's president stepped out of his office as I was awaiting someone to speak with about a part for my new oven no tech was able to locate. Frustrated and w/o an oven for 7 weeks, I asked if he might have ideas, even though I never bought anything from this store. This friendly man expressed concern, and went out of his way to track down a supplier with his national connections. I had the part in a week. Next time I shop for an appliance, this is where I will do business. This was just an act of goodwill, for which he had no reason to go out of his way.

This team is hardworking and very knowledgeable. We had a tiled bathroom floor that creaked and popped with every step. The Triangle Floors team was able to fix the subflooring issues and redo the tiling and baseboards identically to before. Our floor no longer pops and it looks great. I'd recommend them in the future, and may call upon them again if need be.

The staff at Sands and Soils, from my first contact requesting a mulch plus delivery quote to the delivery just accomplished, have treated me with good will, courtesy, professionalism, and skill. The phone contact person was knowledgeable and clear from start to finish, even keeping me apprised of the delivery progress; the cost of the mulch and delivery was more affordable than any I have found elsewhere; the driver was able and willing to drop the product on the very spot I'd prepared for it; and the mulch itself is exactly as described and smells rich and earthy clean. I look forward to working through the pile and going back for more.

It was great to get the quick turnaround on a broken tooth. Dr. Was nice and explained everything that will need to happen. Mandy was great to have while waiting on the Dr. she talked with me until the dr. Was free. Prior to Dr. Henry taking over the practice, I was seeing Dr. Clifton for my dental needs. I have been seeing Dr. Henry for a few weeks now for a number of dental issues.
Late last Thursday, May 21, 2026, I had a tooth crack in two places, causing me major discomfort. I called the office (which was closed), and was provided a number in which to contact Dr. Henry.
Dr. Henry called me back the following morning, and given the office was closed for the holiday weekend, said he would try to contact an assistant to come in and see what they could do.
Later that evening, I got a call that Dr. Henry and MaryAnn, the assistant, would be able to see me at 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
Within a half hour, my needs were taken care of.

For about 20 years I had severe lower back pain. No one knew why the pain continued for so long. One day I visited South Square Chiropractic and Dr. Palumbo reminded me that my wallet needed to be remove from my hip pocket. The job I had at the time I sit on my wallet for over 20 years, so my lower back was severely out of alignment. Dr. Palumbo started therapy on my lower back, my back has been aligned, and Dr. Palumbo continue to do monthly adjustments for preventive maintenance.
This practice is amazing. I’ve seen Dr Jason, Dr Alex, and Dr Rob during my pregnancy in second and third trimester. I had misaligned hips that gave me the pregnant waddle at 24 weeks - solved in 5 minutes! Then had the same issue end of third trimester that gave me prodromal labor for a week. They solved it in 7 minutes and have kept it solved. No more prodromal labor for me, and I can take walks with my family to stay active!! So amazing — this should be the standard of care for pregnant women everywhere.

I’m very thankful to have met Dr. Pirigyi. Before my first appointment with him, I had already seen a physical therapist and sports doctor and my condition wasn’t improving. I’ve been working with Dr. Pirigyi for two years now and have been getting the treatment that I was looking for. He was able to accurately diagnose my injury (ulnar nerve entrapment and golfer’s elbow) and provide recommendations on additional doctors to see once it was clear that more invasive measures were needed. After surgery I have continued to work with Dr. Pirigyi as I trust his knowledge and feedback. He has helped me with other minor injuries and continues to provide corrections on form for activities so I can prevent further injuries. I had low back/pelvic pain that gradually worsened over a two-year period. It was a burning and aching type pain that caused me constant pain which intensified at night, keeping me from sleeping. I tried two Chiropractors who were not able to help me, and I also told my Rheumatologist about the pain. He gave me prescription anti-inflammatory meds that did not help. I finally found Dr. Nall. I saw one of his videos on Facebook where he was discussing SI joint pain and misalignments. I went to him in October 2024, and he discovered my Si joint was misaligned (out flair). He worked on me once a week and gave me some simple exercises to do at home and I have been pain-free for about 3 weeks now, February 2025. I am so thankful I found Dr. Nall!
Dr P is just amazing during pregnancy, and has also helped a ton with my back and a lot of other post-baby issues, despite the fact that I don’t actually do a lot of stuff he recommends at home (he’s very non-judgmental about that).
My husband had an intense back pain as well, went to Dr P, got it completely fixed in two sessions and by religiously doing exercises he recommended. So he’s great and really knows what he’s doing!

When I discovered Dr. Ju’s office with a simple internet search and spent time reviewing his website, I knew he was the chiropractor for me. He is incredibly professional, made me feel like I had been seeing him for years my very first visit and was upfront about the cost and modes of treatment after my initial exam and x-rays. The progress I have made and the level of healing my body has undertaken these first three months seeing him has exceeded my expectations. I took Wanda and Cozmo in for their 1st puppy shots and it was a very smooth interaction. The staff was super kind and patient with these two little rascals.
The primary reason I chose Parkwood for my pet was based off the excellent reviews long term and even new patients left for this establishment. We’ve been going to Parkwood now I would say for over a year and we have received nothing but the best care for my pup. Times where my dog has worried me, we’ve called and they don’t just automatically say “bring her in” they make honest recommendations before they just take your money like other vets. They are also reasonably priced and they really value their patients. Thank you to all of the staff at Parkwood for the amazing care you give!
They were wonderful with my dog. They gave him his vaccines and lots of treats and were playful with him so he would relax.
The staff was incredibly gentle and attentive. My pet was calm and comfortable the entire time, and everything was handled without the need for restraint. The vet clearly understands animal behavior and took the time to make sure my pet felt at ease. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone who wants compassionate, low-stress care for their animals.
My two cats and puppy were patients here until we moved to another state this May. We had absolutely nice experience with Dr. Mayer. My cats have mild asthma, my dog has allergies. My puppy also got his neutering surgery here, it also went very well……Now every time my babies need to get vaccinated or are sick, I miss Westside. People here are reliable and very experienced.

In the same week that they unexpectedly lost their beloved founder and our veterinarian, Dr. Bennett, this team met my husband and I with nothing but kindness and compassion as we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog of 15 years, Shadow. Leading up to Shadow’s passing, Dr. Bennett had multiple phone calls with my husband and I about what to expect with compassionate euthanasia and answered our many questions. When she sadly passed so unexpectedly before his planned appointment, her staff and team stepped up with tremendous empathy amidst their own grief. They were patient with us, answered additional questions, and walked us through our final appointment with Shadow with so much professionalism and warmth. I’m not sure what more could serve as a testament to the kind of practice this is and the kind of person Dr. Bennett was, to surround herself with the kind of people that could carry on in this way in her absence. We are forever grateful to this team.
They have always treated our pets very well. We have had 5 cats and 2 dogs taken care of through Falconbridge. They have a very courteous and professional staff who are very knowledgeable. They have a sister vet (Village Vet) in Chapel Hill.

We recently had a shitzu (Shorkie) come into our family and this was my first visit with Southpoint Animal Hospital. We had a great experience! Dr Elise Hattingh was very thorough explaining everything during the exam. The staff was very professional/helpful and friendly upon arrival. This is a great place that will take great care of your pet.
Dr Golden and RVT Jocelyn compassionately cared for our injured golden doodle’s paw. They were efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable.
The care we receive here from Dr. Smith is top notch. Our dog is a difficult patient with a complicated medical history, and she is always so patient with him. We recently went through a big health scare with him, and she was wonderful every step of the way. I felt like she was genuinely feeling all of the emotions we were feeling as we made decisions for him, and she was able to get him in at NC State for surgery. She has been a partner in his care and shown true interest in his wellbeing. We continue to travel almost an hour to come to Dr. Smith even after having moved out of Durham because of the level of care our little guy receives.
Cannot say enough about the good folks at New Hope Animal Hospital. We have been coming here for years after a less-than-ideal experience at another local vet, and the people here have never let us down.
We see Dr. Soren, mainly, but have seen others in the past, and couldn't ask for a better clinical team. From the doctors and nurses to the front desk, it is clear the people here love what they do. I have recommended this place to all of my friends and family.
I've been using Local Mobile Vet for my two senior kitties for over 3 years now (1 has since passed). After monthly Solensia injections, I came to know their team quite well and their support, kindness, patience, and knowledge has been immensely helpful in navigating this chapter for my cats in their golden years. I want to say that after trying different groomers in the Triangle area, this place is by far, and I mean by far, the best out of all of them.Unfortunately, the closer one gets to the Raleigh area, the more they act like their *#*# doesn’t stink and they don’t give a damn if you patronize their business or not, and this behavior came from the owners of the establishments-not the workers !! Without dropping the name of a particular groomer in the Cary area, I literally got charged $1.00 a minute for being three minutes late. When I explained that I got stuck at the railroad crossing just a couple of blocks from their place, she told me rules are rules !! Stupidly, on my part, I still gave the groomer a hefty tip, but, I should’ve deducted the $3 from the tip and tell her to get it from her greedy boss. Her greed costs her my regular business, and that of my neighbor.Anyway, getting back to Elliot’s Pet Spa. They were so nice and friendly. They don’t waste time keeping ur animal caged up for a whole day. Our groomer, Jenna, is such a sweetheart. Our toy poodle literally jumped right into her arms. And, he came back looking and smelling like a million bucks. She pays specific attention to requests and details. The pricing is so fair-it’s a no brainer for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone that is looking for great service and great pricing. We tried another groomer in that shop and she was also very good, kind, and courteous. But, for us, after so many of our friends told us about Jenna, she’s our girl (hands down)……. You won’t be disappointed in any way with this establishment. Don’t waste time with all of the other wannabes !!!! Elliot’s Pet Spa in Durham, on Giess Rd. (Very close to the 85)….. It’s so conveniently located, even coming from the Raleigh area, is not a problem.P.S. The only hiccup I can say is that they only accept cash payments. Not a big deal-either way you have to pay. I took my previous dog here for years before she passed away. They were always so sweet to her and she almost always saw the same groomer which was great because then she was excited to see her friend. I recently rescued another dog and they were just as wonderful with her. Both dogs are husky mixes so all the floof to manage.
I brought both my dogs in at the same time for a nail trim and was really worried about how one of my dogs would do (esp. because she's more anxious and sometimes reactive towards other dogs). They handled my dogs SO well and made it a straightforward process for me and my pups. We will be back!
I really enjoyed my first class! After years of hot bootcamp style yoga, it was a joy to be in a different, soothing, supportive and gentle environment. I loved the atmosphere and the genuine feeling of community. The studio feels like a boutique. It's pleasing to the eyes and the spirit. I'm new to the area and it's just what I'm looking for!

For our wedding weekend, we hired Casey to instruct a private yoga class in the Duke Gardens for our friends and family who all traveled in from out of town. We had some who practice yoga daily and others who've only done yoga a handful of times. Casey put together a flow for us that was great for all levels and even adjusted her instruction as the class progressed and she got a feel for everyone's level of comfort. It was such a great experience, in a serene location. Casey did an amazing job and we would certainly be regulars at Blue Point Yoga if we lived closer!
The Base ladies are truly the best! Such a knowledgable, welcoming, non-judgemental community of fun people. Love their mat classes, have had an amazing experience with private training, and just wrapped a 4-week Centered and Strong series that helped me feel stronger on the reformer. Couldn't recommend the people or the vibes any higher!

Alexander Pilates has been truely amazing. Having relocated here in February, I really needed to find a studio that focused on a more classical practice. The instructors are so thorough and incredibly adept at working through any body issues (my knees!) whilst at the same time pushing me to improve and get stronger.
My overall fitness and strength has increased significantly and I am now able to progress to more challenging levels which I have absolutely loved. Monica and Angeline get a special shout out. The precision they have in cueing and perfecting form are outstanding. Thank you all so much.

John has been tremendously helpful in keeping me healthy as a distance runner over the last year. I’ve struggled post-collegiately to train at a moderate level without getting injured, but over the last year of working with John, I’ve been able to build up my mileage and intensity while staying healthy and feeling the strongest I’ve felt in years. John is great at finding the underlying cause of the issue and treating it via both manual techniques and other physical therapy exercises. I’d recommend John for runners and humans alike, whether you have a specific issue or just want to feel good and stay healthy!

I can’t say enough about the care I received at Upright Athlete. I spent months doing rehab before I had surgery and then after I had my hip replaced. Gabe is not only an incredibly knowledgeable and skilled Physical Therapist, he is kind, compassionate and encouraging. I also saw Dylan regularly and he too is extremely knowledgeable, caring and a fantastic motivator. With both Gabe and Dylan, I felt as though I was getting the best care I could get. They listened to my needs and responded accordingly. They gave me confidence when I needed it most. My experience with physical therapy has been very positive. All of the therapy has been helpful. Aquatic therapy has been productive and less painful. Have cancel some days because pain has hindered ability to prepare and get there. I learned new effective exercises in all PT visits. Therapists were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional.

Tara is magical. I see her regularly for general health and maintenance, but I realized how big of an impact her work has on me when I got to a car accident this past year. For regular general health appointments, I leave feeling deeply relaxed and regulated—it feels amazing. But after my car accident, I was seriously shaken. I have never seen a business go above and beyond the way this school does. I have had several issues trying to get my son's permit through his school. Andes Driving School has done everything they can to help me, including mailing multiple documents TWICE! Andes is by far the best driving school in the state.
