I went to Sunny to get my haircut and it was fantastic slight layer and U-shape. I feel much lighter after my haircut! She introduced me to her friend Sunny where I did my eyelashes perm and microblading! The natural feeling of the eyelashes and the curl was so good and long lasting, totally get my point of no-makeup look. She is very nice and gentle. Good price and worth to try!!
Great place to get a quality haircut. I go to Jason W. He is the best! Nick is a great barber too! Every barber there seems very skilled and I haven’t seen anyone leave dissatisfied. Kid friendly atmosphere and they have very diverse clientele. I would recommend booking an appointment but walk ins are welcome. Ali is an amazing guy. When I arrived to my appointment, he was preoccupied with a phone call for a bit, around 15 minutes. However, after he finished my cut, he completely refunded it for me and apologized for the inconvenience. I’ve never had a barber exhibit such courtesy and empathy—he did it without even letting me know. What a stand-up guy, I’d definitely recommend you give him a visit!

Not sure where to start. I haven't visited a hair salon in over 15+years, because I normally do my own thing with my hair, not having much confidence in anyone. However, I needed my hair cut and style, so I started surfing the internet, and came across Black Pearl. The reviews did it for me, so I decided to give Ms Tina a shot at it. I went there with a very open mind, hoping for the best, but at the same time expecting anything. Let me tell you, Ms Tina was amazing in every sense of the word. She was very warm and inviting, very knowledgeable in her field. She works magic with her hands. To say the least I was very impressed the way she handled her skill. What an awesome hair stylist with a great personality. To crown it off she did a lot of teaching, educating me on my hair type and the products that would work best. I received so many compliments on my hair cut from family members, friends and strangers alike. I am so excited, experimenting with different styles and just loving it all the way. Man. This was just the best experience I have ever had. Even though this was my first tattoo, I have been into multiple tattoo shops (for piercings, which they do not do, which is perfectly fine), and this was the BEST environment I have ever been in. I usually find tattoo shops can be abrasive and kind of scary (I am a newbie so this is probably just me), but Kings Ave was the opposite. Knowing it was my first, they offered me coffee, water, and multiple breaks. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Logan, my artist, did a CLEAN job. I have gotten SO many compliments on my tattoo from random people and friends, and I have only had it for three days. There were other artists there also, and they were great too. Alexis was very easy to work with. I like the work but for what I got was very over priced. Wasn't expecting to spend $130 including tip. It was to expensive for three words and a purple ?. Next time I'll make sure I ask for price first uhh! This was not worth $130. When they see this, I hope they offer me something for over charging me. At least let me get half my money back.
Update: Went back to the shop and was accommodated and was able to touch up my tat and was satisfied with how they handled the issue.

This is my second time getting a tattoo here. 1st one was done by Charlie and my 2nd was done by Nick. Both were super friendly, artistic, and professional. Mavis & Lucas at the front desk are super awesome and informative. There’s a good vibe there, like everyone seems to work well together and support one another. Shop was clean and neat, and there’s ton of amazing art and knick-knack decor to keep you occupied while getting tattooed. I’ll most likely be returning!

Could not recommend Sacred Mandala enough. I worked with the artist Alan Lott and he did an incredible job. He was extremely easy to work with and to bounce ideas off of. I really liked how he would explain the process and why he thought something would work or not. I had sessions in both of their studios they were both very clean and organized. More people that I expected have asked where I got it done and who the artist was. Alan is a master at sacred geometry.
Nic is an incredible piercing specialist and wonderful person overall! She walks you through the whole process and is super knowledgable. My piercing look great and healed great even with sensitive ears, and I've been back several times for more! Would highly recommend!!

Ryan did a great job on fixing a broken cpvc pipe at my washing machine hookup. Called late morning and Ryan was here by 3pm. Worked until the job was done (about 6), checked my water pressure and gave me advise on how to avoid futre leaks. Highly recommend!

I requested an estimate for a direct water heater replacement and an estimate for going to a tankless water heater. Mr. Overrated came out last Friday and looked at everything and told me I would have the estimate late Sunday. I got a text notification that the work with Bar D has been finished on Wednesday. I responded that I was still waiting on the estimates. Jimmy D. The owner responded that he was addressing the situation. I received the estimate for the tankless shortly after this. I'm still waiting for the tank water heater replacement estimate and reminded them of that. It's now the next Friday and still no response. Sent the company an online service request Super Bowl Sunday afternoon and received a phone call first thing Monday morning. A team, led by Norval Cunningham, arrived a short time later. The truck was spotless and the guys were neat. They knew why they were at my home and listened carefully to my concerns. Norval is obviously a pro. Soft spoken and very knowledgeable, he led his young teammate to address the lift pump maintenance request. They completed the service and tested the system. I could not be more pleased. Excellent service at excellent prices! We have used A&S Appliance Repair before. Recently, Floyd Spell, the owner, squeezed us in between appointments. Floyd was professional, extremely knowledgeable about refrigerators, pleasant and polite. He quickly determined that our coils had frozen due to a clogged drain. He made the necessary repairs and also replaced (for free!) a small, unrelated tube that looked a little frayed. Floyd stayed to confirm that the problem had been fixed. Mr. Stewart, the company's president stepped out of his office as I was awaiting someone to speak with about a part for my new oven no tech was able to locate. Frustrated and w/o an oven for 7 weeks, I asked if he might have ideas, even though I never bought anything from this store. This friendly man expressed concern, and went out of his way to track down a supplier with his national connections. I had the part in a week. Next time I shop for an appliance, this is where I will do business. This was just an act of goodwill, for which he had no reason to go out of his way.
T&C responded promptly to a pressing need to repair our failing refrigerator. On Thursday Terry diagnosed the problem; on Friday the office staff ordered the part; and on Sunday they called to schedule the service on Monday. The service was completed and the refrigerator restored to working order, and Terry even adjusted the door so it was properly aligned. I'm very happy with the result.
Excellent service. Had a warranty claim with Lowes for a dishwasher. One Source called within a few hours after submitting claim, confirmed my appt, yet offered to show up the next day instead! Lee showed up exactly on time, was very friendly and professional. Did an analysis, ordered parts, and showed up about 4 days later with exactly what he needed. Fixed dishwasher in about an hour. I was looking for a damper assembly for a frigidaire refrigerator and they were the only one that had it. It was less expensive than the one I found online. So, I didn't have to wait. Just went over and picked it up.
Called in to get replacement keys and remote for my car after losing my only set, and in less than 24 hours AJ was handing me two new working remotes/keys. Such a great experience with A-1 Lock & Safe! The ignition lock cylinder on my 2010 Honda Fit was broken and my regular mechanic didn't have the tools to fix it. The dealership quoted me $1500 to replace the part, but Matt at A-1 was able to rebuild the ignition switch in under 2 hours for $275. So grateful that I found them!

The owner of the house we purchased a couple of years ago, had abandoned the yard for years. We contacted a couple of companies for bids. Our requirements were that the plantings be deer and drought resistant since we aren't here in the summer and that we have a minimal amount of grass that wouldn't need watering. We liked Paul right away because he listened to what we had to say. At the same time he didn't do anything we asked for. Later on, I suggested a design element and he politely told me it wasn't a good design and he'd come up with an alternative. I liked that. One of our requirements was that he put in smaller plants or plants that spread to keep to our budget. and he did this.Our property is on a hill and we have a lot of serious drainage problems. Paul's design dealt with the problems and directed the run-off to the woods. His installer was also extremely knowledgable and had worked with Paul for many years. During the installation, he was friendly and went to great effort to find blue stone for the small patio that matched the stone in the 40 year-old path to the front door. The stonework for the small patio and a couple of retaining walls is fabulous. We watched and it was done with great care. We've hired Leisure Landscapes to do our ongoing yard maintenance. We couldn't be happier with the results. He accommodated the playground that my husband had built, and created a design that is welcoming and fits with the house. I'd recommend the company highly.

We contracted New Leaf Landscaping to built a retaining wall and install a drainage system through our back yard. Our designer, Sean, was intelligent, professional, and easy to get ahold of throughout the course of the project, and the crew was quick, efficient, attentive, and went above and beyond in terms of what was expected of them. The staff at Sands and Soils, from my first contact requesting a mulch plus delivery quote to the delivery just accomplished, have treated me with good will, courtesy, professionalism, and skill. The phone contact person was knowledgeable and clear from start to finish, even keeping me apprised of the delivery progress; the cost of the mulch and delivery was more affordable than any I have found elsewhere; the driver was able and willing to drop the product on the very spot I'd prepared for it; and the mulch itself is exactly as described and smells rich and earthy clean. I look forward to working through the pile and going back for more.
I had them plant 3 trees in my front yard. They were able to pick up and deliver the trees and did a great job placing them and getting them installed. They made sure to call 811 and get all the utilities marked and did an excellent cleanup afterwards.

I’m very thankful to have met Dr. Pirigyi. Before my first appointment with him, I had already seen a physical therapist and sports doctor and my condition wasn’t improving. I’ve been working with Dr. Pirigyi for two years now and have been getting the treatment that I was looking for. He was able to accurately diagnose my injury (ulnar nerve entrapment and golfer’s elbow) and provide recommendations on additional doctors to see once it was clear that more invasive measures were needed. After surgery I have continued to work with Dr. Pirigyi as I trust his knowledge and feedback. He has helped me with other minor injuries and continues to provide corrections on form for activities so I can prevent further injuries. I have recommended him to any friends that are in need of this type of care. He is truly the best Chiropractic Physician that I have worked with.

I had low back/pelvic pain that gradually worsened over a two-year period. It was a burning and aching type pain that caused me constant pain which intensified at night, keeping me from sleeping. I tried two Chiropractors who were not able to help me, and I also told my Rheumatologist about the pain. He gave me prescription anti-inflammatory meds that did not help. I finally found Dr. Nall. I saw one of his videos on Facebook where he was discussing SI joint pain and misalignments. I went to him in October 2024, and he discovered my Si joint was misaligned (out flair). He worked on me once a week and gave me some simple exercises to do at home and I have been pain-free for about 3 weeks now, February 2025. I am so thankful I found Dr. Nall!

When I first moved to the Durham area, I wanted to find a chiropractor who focuses on the overall structure of the spine to correct my scoliosis. Someone who utilizes the combination of in-office adjustments and exercises while teaching at home exercises as well. When I discovered Dr. Ju’s office with a simple internet search and spent time reviewing his website, I knew he was the chiropractor for me. He is incredibly professional, made me feel like I had been seeing him for years my very first visit and was upfront about the cost and modes of treatment after my initial exam and x-rays. The progress I have made and the level of healing my body has undertaken these first three months seeing him has exceeded my expectations. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a chiropractor who is honest, tailors treatment based on your specific spinal needs and utilizes techniques that many chiropractors do not offer, to correct the spine. Dr. Rob is amazing and great at communicating. I was recently in a wreck, he helped me find a great attorney and my back felt a lot better from the first visit. On top of that, this establishment has great customer service.
For about 20 years I had severe lower back pain. No one knew why the pain continued for so long. One day I visited South Square Chiropractic and Dr. Palumbo reminded me that my wallet needed to be remove from my hip pocket. The job I had at the time I sit on my wallet for over 20 years, so my lower back was severely out of alignment. Dr. Palumbo started therapy on my lower back, my back has been aligned, and Dr. Palumbo continue to do monthly adjustments for preventive maintenance.
Dr. Leidich is kind and gentle. He works through any body mechanics issues to bring much needed relief. I have been seeing the team since 2010 and will continue to do so. Dr. Leidich and his team are amazing and provide awesome individualized treatment.
Dr. Peterson is amazing. He always gets me out of pain, or adjusts my rib that slips out. Don’t know what I would do without him. Thank you Jesus!
I took Wanda and Cozmo in for their 1st puppy shots and it was a very smooth interaction. The staff was super kind and patient with these two little rascals.
They have always treated our pets very well. We have had 5 cats and 2 dogs taken care of through Falconbridge. They have a very courteous and professional staff who are very knowledgeable. They have a sister vet (Village Vet) in Chapel Hill.
My dog isn't even afraid of going to see them- if that isn't five stars, I don't know what is.

Willow Oak was recommended to me by a friend and I could not be happier with their services. The facility itself is well kept, and the staff is phenomenal. Everyone is very kind and knowledgeable. They are very responsive and flexible with appointments. I recommend them to anyone that asks.

I want to say that after trying different groomers in the Triangle area, this place is by far, and I mean by far, the best out of all of them.Unfortunately, the closer one gets to the Raleigh area, the more they act like their *#*# doesn’t stink and they don’t give a damn if you patronize their business or not, and this behavior came from the owners of the establishments-not the workers !! Without dropping the name of a particular groomer in the Cary area, I literally got charged $1.00 a minute for being three minutes late. When I explained that I got stuck at the railroad crossing just a couple of blocks from their place, she told me rules are rules !! Stupidly, on my part, I still gave the groomer a hefty tip, but, I should’ve deducted the $3 from the tip and tell her to get it from her greedy boss. Her greed costs her my regular business, and that of my neighbor.Anyway, getting back to Elliot’s Pet Spa. They were so nice and friendly. They don’t waste time keeping ur animal caged up for a whole day. Our groomer, Jenna, is such a sweetheart. Our toy poodle literally jumped right into her arms. And, he came back looking and smelling like a million bucks. She pays specific attention to requests and details. The pricing is so fair-it’s a no brainer for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone that is looking for great service and great pricing. We tried another groomer in that shop and she was also very good, kind, and courteous. But, for us, after so many of our friends told us about Jenna, she’s our girl (hands down)……. You won’t be disappointed in any way with this establishment. Don’t waste time with all of the other wannabes !!!! Elliot’s Pet Spa in Durham, on Giess Rd. (Very close to the 85)….. It’s so conveniently located, even coming from the Raleigh area, is not a problem.P.S. The only hiccup I can say is that they only accept cash payments. Not a big deal-either way you have to pay. I really enjoyed my first class! After years of hot bootcamp style yoga, it was a joy to be in a different, soothing, supportive and gentle environment. For our wedding weekend, we hired Casey to instruct a private yoga class in the Duke Gardens for our friends and family who all traveled in from out of town. We had some who practice yoga daily and others who've only done yoga a handful of times. Casey put together a flow for us that was great for all levels and even adjusted her instruction as the class progressed and she got a feel for everyone's level of comfort. It was such a great experience, in a serene location. Casey did an amazing job and we would certainly be regulars at Blue Point Yoga if we lived closer!

Alexander Pilates is truly life changing. Every single instructor is incredible. The attention to form, quality of coaching, and knowledge of each instructor is second to none… I have never felt so engaged or supported in a workout class! I’m in my early 30s and have always been very athletic, but I’ve had tons of orthopedic and mobility issues over the years. My core strength, posture, and overall appearance have improved dramatically since I started taking classes ~5 months ago. I’ve also noticed that all of my other workouts are easier, and I’m much less injury prone. It is the best workout class I’ve ever done, and I’ve tried them all, in Durham and many major cities. It is so, so worth the money and I am so glad we have Heather and her wonderful team in Durham!

I had a total knee replacement with complications of excessive swelling. I can say that trying the cold plunge has been fantastic in reducing the swelling, increasing the circulation and reducing the muscle and joint soreness. I highly recommend this therapy for recovery and fitness.
I reached out to John asking for somewhat of a miracle when I tightened up to the point of not being able to walk the week before my first race. John was great at diagnosing the issue and giving me exercises to work on in order to get me back up and running in under a week!

Graham is knowledgable and great at working out the knots, bumps and shenanigans I put my body through. As a recent grad student I spent too much time in front of a computer and he was very good at working the stress out of my shoulders. I am a distance runner as well and appreciate a massage therapist that knows how to work with athletes. I always leave feeling taller and much more relaxed. I know my muscles appreciate the work. I find his prices very comparable and reasonable for the level of skill.
Jessica, Faith and Theresa are knowledgeable, skilled massage therapists who've worked as MTs for almost 10 years. All three have have extensive anatomical knowledge. Faith and Jessica are also nurses. Jessica is even certified in medical massage. Theresa teaches at Carolina Massage Institute so she has countless hours of hands-on experience. Highly recommend all three! Full disclosure- I've never experienced Faith's massage, but I know one of her clients who is very pleased! One thing to note though: they book up in advance! It is difficult to book a session with them with only a few days notice. Book two weeks to a month in advance. It's worth the wait.

I have used Upright Athlete both for physical therapy and for strengths training. I seriously broke my right ankle (pilon fracture) in April 2023, had surgery, was non-weight bearing in a wheelchair for three months. And I started physical therapy with Gabe Dimock in July 2023. He has been amazing -- thoughtful, supportive, kind, encouraging, and flexible and always took time to answer questions. Ten months later (!!) after physical therapy for twice a week, I finally graduated over to the other side of the gym and have been doing strengths training with Gabe since May 2024. Am very grateful to be back to walking, hiking and building back my strength and stamina and I am so glad I chose to work with Upright Athlete. Highly, highly recommend them!
Anastasia is awesome! Although I came in with Achilles tendinopathy at the Insertion, she has given me an entirely different perspective on my total body mobility and how my body is connected. She spends the time getting to know the subtleties of one's body, the pain points and listens to what you tell her. Listening, caring, exploring and finding the best course of treatment are her gifts. And, she is so personable that you feel like you have a friend. She has helped me in many ways and being older, I need all the help I can get! Oh, and do your homework!

I found out about this place through physical therapy but then started to go to Ryan for personal training with my wife. I really enjoyed the program he designed for us, simple and very effective. Then I got pregnant, Ryan and his new colleague Amber modified my workouts through out the entire pregnancy. I felt amazing till the end, worked out on Friday and gave birth on Monday. Highly recommend working out during pregnancy, I felt strong during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Nothing prepares you for the amount of back strength needed for carrying a human inside and outside your body, I don’t know how people do it without having muscle strength. Thank you Ryan and Amber!
Dr. Jacob's PT methods are unique and specialized to the individual. He has truly helped me become free both physically and mentally to move again. I always walk out of my appointments having learned a new way to practice movement and exercise. My experience with physical therapy has been very positive. All of the therapy has been helpful. Aquatic therapy has been productive and less painful. Have cancel some days because pain has hindered ability to prepare and get there. I learned new effective exercises in all PT visits. Therapists were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional.
Jon E is wonderful! He listens to your concerns and symptoms and cares deeply about his craft and his patients. I really enjoyed learning from him about acupuncture and he helped me with my upper back tightness. Highly recommend, especially for first timers w acupuncture.

It remains to be seen whether or not acupuncture can help my condition long-term, but I appreciate all of the above traits I listed. The combination of acupuncture and cranio sacral work is extremely powerful. Barbara has an amazing gift for being able to feel and release restrictions in the body to provide permanent relief. Tara is so amazing I cant recommend her more!!! I came in with a ton of issues; plantar fasciitis, all over body inflammations, hashimoto's issues, hormone imbalance, stress and need for nervous system regulation. I felt like I was at the bottom with my heath and tried all doctors and supplements and everything in between. I walked into Taras office and had a bit of nerves and by the end of the appointment I felt hope. I have now been seeing her for moths and we have done acupuncture, cupping and guasha work. Every time I leave her office I feel better then when I walked in. This has been the ONLY thing to help and increase health and wellbeing. One time we did battlefield acupuncture protocol- I came in with a pain level of 10 and left with a 2. I was amazed and honestly so thankful for her knowledge, wisdom and medicine! This has been a life saver and I am getting back to enjoying life and feeling better. I still have some way to go but now that i am on a program with Tara it up hill from here!!! I cant wait for my next appointment. <3
