Yesterday was my 3rd appt with Juel. She is the bomb. Her braiding skills as well as her demeanor are just impeccable. I have been to several braiding places and this salon is top tier. I’ve been places where the stylists are huffing and puffing and just look sour and unpleasant while braiding my hair. Juel is the first ever stylist who seems to enjoy braiding my hair. Even if she doesn’t I can’t tell with her level of patience and professionalism. She has made my three experiences at this location very worthwhile. Thank you.

Great place, but unfortunately, it's permanently closed. Stopped by there today because I was in town and wanted to get my hair cut. However, there is a sign on the door which says the location is shut down.
Had an amazing experience at this salon. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing with gentle music playing in the background. Norma did a great job at spa pedicure and heavenly 20 minute massage. Then she did yet another great job on my mani and another awesome 30 minute back massage. Very happy with the service.

Amazing experience! I went to several salons in Williamsburg today hoping for a walk-in appointment for partial blonde highlights and Oro was the only salon that could take me on such late notice. I was very happy with the service, pricing & end result! Finding a new stylist in nyc is very overwhelming & stressful, and I've had many negative experiences with blonde highlights in the past, but Yuya was awesome and did exactly what I asked for. Went to get a haircut with Frankie, who was amazing and really nails the casual, breezy, lived-in look that I was looking for. She was super communicative and took the time to explain everything and carefully go through everything we discussed; but once she started she was FAST! I was in and out in 50 minutes while never feeling rushed, and she made sure to stop at key points to make sure I was ok with the length and approach. One of the best hair experiences I've ever had.
I came in for my first appointment today and it won’t be my last. Mayumi is incredibly kind, skilled, efficient, and communicative. The entire time she was touching my hair she made sure we were on the same page. I loved the way she cut and styled my hair, making sure everything was perfect, my hair was styled how i preferred, and got me out of the chair in time for my next meeting. Ive been to Bri at Little Lion a couple times now and I will go nowhere else ? She has such a nuanced eye for color and totally sorted out the mess I came in with. She gave me the perfect strawberry honey color for summer and also gave me a treatment which has helped strengthen my hair a ton. Finding a good hairstylist has always been really difficult for me because I've never been satisfied with the end results of all my previous ones. I was looking to get long layers, curtain bangs, and a blowout (which sounds pretty simple but you wouldn't believe the number of hairstylists who don't know how to properly cut layers). So ultimately I decided to just bite the bullet and make an appointment here based on all the reviews and I'm so glad I did! I booked with LuAnn and she fully understood what I wanted. She's an amazing stylist and a true master of her craft in addition to being super sweet and accommodating. It was truly the first haircut in my life that I was actually happy with. Well worth it!!!! My daughter now goes to her too. She not only delivers the haircut you want, she advises if maybe it cannot be achieved due to hair texture. Bring a picture. I've been coming here for the past four months and don't see myself going anywhere else. My hair is very thick and most places don't know how to make a nice fade with it. Knock is the only one who I can trust to work on my hair since I moved to downtown Brooklyn. I tried a different barber while I was hometown for the holiday (felt like cheating) and I awfully regretted it. I went straight back to Knock to fix it. He spent extra time to fix the damage that was done by the previous barber back home.
Just went for the first time after moving to area. Got my hair and beard done by Luis and LOVED IT!!! EXACTLY what I wanted I cannot recommend enough! Everyone was super nice and will deffinetly be going back :)

He also took the time to understand the kind of style I wanted and suggested little variations; also, taking the time to let me know what he was going to do next. Been going to George's 2 on 5th Ave for a couple years now. I pretty much never have to wait, they listen carefully to what I want, make suggestions if I ask for them, and then get to work delivering a great haircut, every time. All of the barbers are consistent and talented, and they have very low employee turnover. They don't quiz me about how my day is going or where I'm from or what I do, which I really appreciate. That's not to say they're unfriendly - I genuinely feel like a welcome and valued customer every time - it's just that they're focused on doing the work well and making sure everybody walks out satisfied. I recommend them to all my friends without reservation.

This is my go to nail salon. It’s a fairly new place but they do amazing work. All the nail technicians are exceptional but Fiona is a pro when it comes to manicures and pedicures. They don’t work with appointments but I would suggest doing so if you have somewhere to be.

Love this place for a regular and gel mani pedis. They are very clean and the staff is super nice. I wouldn't recommend getting gel x or acrylic extensions here. My nails beds always end up dented, and the extensions never last past the week. They are great with shapes and cleaning up cuticles. The extension undersides often end up chunky, though. I think in a couple of years, I would go back to try extensions again once the staff gains more experience, but for now, I will stick to my regular ol' mani padis.
I got a great pedicure at an affordable price from Wi Nail & Spa. The massage chairs are fantastic and the spa itself is very quite, so you can relax!

Definitely go to this salon!! I went on Thursday to get a haircut. I naturally have curly/wavy hair which is also frizzy. I’ve always have had issues with finding a hairdresser that can cut my type of hair. So obviously I was nervous to get another haircuts and be disappointed. But that didn’t happen. The minute I walked in I was offered an espresso or cappuccino, the owner introduced me to my hairdresser IRMA and then I went over to get my hair shampooed. Can I just say Irma was amazing, I asked for long layers, a face frame, curtain bangs, and lots of movement, and she did not disappoint. She listened to all my needs and took her time styling my hair. I walked out loving my hair and my stylist. This is definitely going to be my go to salon from now on. Plus the staff is super friendly, and they accommodate all your needs.

I got the plump lash lift about two and a half weeks ago and I'm mostly satisfied. I mainly got it so that I could forgo mascara during a 2 week vacation while still looking relatively awake and fresh faced. I have very straight Asian lashes that kinda grow downward, so curled lashes definitely make a difference on my face. That goal was achieved. The process was relaxing, Yuri was so sweet, and my lashes came out perfectly curled and not overprocessed. Now 2.5 weeks later my outer lashes are starting to straighten. The middle lashes are still nicely curled but it's slightly disappointing to shell out $$ for the treatment only to see it start to lose effectiveness so soon. Maybe my outer lashes just grow super fast, I dunno. At any rate, if I were to get another lash lift, I'd do it here. Other lash salons may offer the same, but Masterpiece really listens to your needs and they won't fry your lashes.

So happy with my experience. The aerolase facial is giving glass skin after one session. Granted I started with pretty good skin, but the after is good. The laser is sensational but not painful like old lasers used to be. Most importantly it feels safe for my darker skin tone. I purchased a 3 pack service so I will be back. I booked my appointment with Carrie herself, but have heard from others that all the staff are equally as excellent. The facial went way beyond the usual cleaning and "masks'. From extractions to massage to LED light and cold stone rub, my face went through it all. And if that wasn't heaven, Carrie massaged my neck and shoulders - which really needed it!
Carrie doesn't "push products" even when I asked what I should use. Instead she gave me a couple samples to try. She is lovely and she has developed a great team. Definitely will be back.

I’ve been getting Brazilian waxing and facial treatments from Alix for a year now and cannot say enough good things. From the moment you step in her studio, it’s an A+ experience. Where do I start? For starters, Kathy is SUCH A SWEETHEART. She is so positive, warm, and a pleasure to work with. Second, her studio is beautiful!! For something as unpleasant as a wax, her environment makes you feel comfortable immediately, a true reflection of who she is. Finally, this wax experience has been the most pleasant one ever. The wax she uses does not pull on the skin so while there is mild discomfort, its nothing like what I've felt with soft wax or other mediums. I had minimal swelling and no irritation.
Bottom line: Kathy is a true gem of an esthetician and I look forward to seeing her again. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, rather I am needing to contain myself to succinctly express all the positives there is to say!

I have a wax pass, so came here since it's the closest location to me since moving to the area. I arrived a little early for my appointment, but unfortunately they told me that they're running behind. I ended up waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, which was annoying because I had paid for street parking. In addition, ended up with a parking ticket from this visit, so be careful if you're parking on the streets when coming here. The actual waxing was quick and painless. My esthetician was great. I think I overheard that they double booked, but hope they ensure mistakes like that don't happen where I would need to wait half an hour for my appointment.

I've been here twice now, the studio is located in beautiful building, the service both times were quick and quality, I love my results each time. I don't see any reason to look for another wax specialist. I would give five stars but management is not the best so I took off one. I have been a patron at this location since it opened two years ago (literally visited the weekend it opened). Prior to this location, I was a customer at the location near Union Square for about 4 years but thankfully, the Williamsburg location is closer to my home so I switched. I started out going to Shivani who went out on maternity leave and recommended Emely so I have been going to her for over a year now. Emely is amazing! She's very good at her job but she's also friendly and attentive. I have made it clear that the products aren't the best for my skin so I only buy the body butter. As a result, she does not push me to purchase products which can be frustrating to constantly have products pushed on you. If Emely leaves, I'm going wherever she goes!

Ive been going to Uni K for ten years and won’t go anywhere else. I’ve been to several different ones and they are always hygienic, organized, kind and efficient. Rinisha was my favorite waxer for 8/10 of those years but she moved away, so I changed locations and have been provided my services at random. So, I just started my skin journey with Emilia, and I am excited to continue working with her. I've seen her twice so far, and she has helped me tremendously. She is very kind and patient and guides you through every step of the facial/ procedure. I have my reservations about skin care since I've been scarred in the past, but Emilia put me at ease. I had a terrible broken capillary that I was so self-conscious about, and I swear to God she is a frigging wizard. It's practically unnoticeable now because she worked her magic and zapped that baby away. Other spas are always upselling products and can get annoying, but Emilia is the exact opposite. Tatiana saved my eyelashes! I had gotten my lashes done elsewhere and felt like something was wrong so i got them removed with her. She was so attentive and gentle and informative. The appointment that was supposed to be 30 minutes went on for an hour because of how awful my lashes were, but she made sure I was comfortable and that she removed everything. She told me they used wig glue and put it directly onto my eyelid and thats why it was taking so long to remove and why I was experiencing irritation. In the end, she was able to save my natural lashes. I am so grateful for her hard work and dedication!!

absolutely amazing experience. went twice for a matching nostril piercing, and then for a vertical labret. the time both Vicki and Taylor took to measure before piercing me meant allot as I've been previously pierced at other studios that didn't take the same steps and left me with crooked piercings. Both explained what they were doing throughout the process very thoroughly and left me with no uncertainty/confusion. I will definitely be returning.

I called Mike when my heating system stopped working at the start of this winter. I left a voicemail and he called me back quickly. He came to inspect my system and said he could fix it, but ultimately needed to be replaced because of how old it was and the poor work the previous company had done. He clearly explained in detail what was wrong with it, and that even if repaired there were still some concerns about performance and safety. We ultimately had Mike replace our system and he finished the job in one week without any problems. Most importantly he was on time every single day and worked full days to ensure completion. He explained every step along the way and made sure to always clean up and respect our home. He's easy to talk to, trustworthy, and simply works as if he's working in his own home. It was a relief to find someone as skilled as him and someone I could rely on to get the job done. Our new system is incredibly efficient and works great. He even helped troubleshoot a radiator that hasn't worked in years and now it works fine. I recommend Mike without hesitation.

We needed a new breaker box, as ours was falling apart. CS came by to give me a quote and checked out the electrical in the whole apartment. I called Slava from AllSafe Appliance to fix my refrigerator. He was able to schedule an appointment on Sunday morning, arrived on time and was able to diagnose and the issue very quickly. He had the spare part that needed replacements in his van and he wasted no time in making a replacement. The refrigerator is now as good as new! After he finished with this job, I asked him to take a look at my dryer as it started to make some strange noises. He quickly told me what the issue is likely to be and after he troubleshot it some more he was able to confirm it. Latter on we agreed that he will order the spare part required. Once he got the part we scheduled an appointment, and once again he was on time, was very professional, and fixed the issue quickly and effectively. This is a great small business. We used them 3 times over the course of the last month for post-construction cleaning. The first time Leonard and his crew were able to make a truly terrifyingly dusty studio apartment sparkling in just a few hours. Truly every surface was covered in an inch of post-construction dust, and there was furniture to wipe down, a bathroom and kitchenette. We live in a ground floor apartment and April in the showroom helped us pick out the perfect engineered wood floor for our teeny tiny space. Amanda and Tomasz helped make sure we had all the requirements to do construction in our coop building, and Tomasz was available from start to finish to answer any questions we had. They were incredibly transparent every step of the way, which was amazing when we had issues with our subfloor and had to do additional work pre-installation. We interviewed seven (!!) different contractors for this job and the Eko team was by far the best choice, from Tomasz's in depth knowledge of wood flooring and installation techniques, to the fair price, to the professionalism of the entire crew. We are in love with our new floors and can't recommend Eko enough!

Owner went above and beyond to source a 2 inch hexagon tile I wanted that no one else seemed to have (including Nemo Tile). Price was about the same as Nemo, HD and Lowes, and I liked being able to see the glass mosaics in person for a shower niche I wanted to create. Would definitely go here again, great service.

He got us in contact with trusted suppliers and worked directly with us to ensure we understood all the steps.
We renovated both the kitchen and bathroom at the same time and the SABI team was able to tackle both jobs in parallel with ease. The team moved efficiently and kept true to the proposed timeline. Their dust management protocol was on point and left our apartment in near-perfect condition once the team had finished. The quality of the materials and the build led to a very beautiful result we could not be happier with. The SABI team are true professionals and craftsmen.

From the initial email inquiry, through the job itself, right down to the delivery of the final bill, I could not have been happier with the prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, high quality service I got from Riviera Electric. They installed two ceiling fans and a dimmer switch and some plugs for me. Rob did the job to perfection in just a few hours. He even took an old, non-working ceiling fan of mine away with him, to see if he could refurbish it in order to give it away to someone in the community. Love that! I thought their prices were very reasonable, and the estimate aligned with the original quote. I had to schedule an appointment for two weeks out, because they were booked up. This experience and the work was well worth the wait, IMO.
Threw out the 25 years of living in Franklin Sq I have used Joey and his crew from Pinnacle for all my concrete needs. My drive way still looks brand new 20 years later after parking all my works trucks on it. My brick pavers still look good after 10 years. Fast forward I bought a new house needed some work. Joey came over the next day wrote up an estimate 3 weeks later I have a brand new stoop with custom marble my wife is happy and that's all that matters. Pinnacle goes above and beyond to treat you like family and his quality of work definitely show. I highly recommend them for all your masonry needs.

I called them because I had a scare about termites. Henry picked up even though it is late and asked me to send pictures. After sending the pictures, he confirmed that they weren’t and gave me advice about what choices we have. He’s honest, and I appreciate his assistance. I would recommend using them and will go to him if I have other problems.

We have used Central Pest Control for regular pest control maintenance. We no longer worry about unwanted visitors. They are always professional, and especially mindful of the fact that we have little ones as well. When it comes to pests like mice and ants the best defense is a good offense.
Luis, Liz & Danny couldn’t have gone Above & Beyond more than they have for me. Everything started with my sharing of pictures of suspected bed bug bites, which they promptly responded to. Within hours they sent Danny to perform a physical inspection of my apartment and, at my request, had a 3rd party dog sniffing company come to perform a deeper inspection by end of day.
The dog did detect something so I reached back out to Above & Beyond the following day. They helped me to navigate the conversation of cost with my landlord and Luis did everything he could to try and offset some of the fees I would need to incur by going with their form of treatment over a chemical treatment process that my landlord wanted to use.
They returned that very day to perform the treatment and it was way less painful an exercise than I experienced 15 years ago

However, Don asked me to "please" call him back if the geographically closer recommendation did not respond in the expected timeframe.
