“A long crease had gradually formed where the EPDM roof met the rear parapet. The membrane had contracted enough to pull against the termination bar, opening several small gaps along the wall. The center of the roof remained in good condition, so complete replacement would have removed a large amount of serviceable material. Instead, the perimeter was released in sections and rebuilt with new reinforced membrane. NY roofing brooklyn found damp insulation at one corner where the separation was most advanced, but the moisture had not spread into the roof field. That material was replaced before the new wall flashing was installed. New termination metal provided a cleaner and less stressed transition along the parapet. The finished perimeter sat naturally against the wall instead of appearing stretched toward it.”
