“Topline recently replaced all of the windows in our home - and there were a lot of them! Everything was done in 3 days and so far the windows (Okna brand) are a gigantic improvement. I did a lot of research ahead of this job, on the windows themselves and the companies, and I got multiple bids. Topline was the best combo of price and product, and they were a pleasure to work with. Tom, the install team, and everyone at TopLine have been great, and we’re now having them replace our front door, and hope to do our siding in the not too distant future.“

“I hired Sabi Construction to do the complete renovation of my 1-Bedroom apartment. Hiring Sabi was one of the best decisions I made all year. My apartment is in an older UWS brownstone. It had old plumbing, old electrical, old everything. And now it looks clean, modern and beautiful!

Sabi Construction worked with Con-Ed and then increased the electrical service coming into the apartment. Previously I had a few old glass screw-in fuses in my closet. Now I have a real electrical panel. Working with Sabi’s electrician, we were able to add an energy-efficient cooktop, washer, dryer, and more lighting. Sabi’s plumber moved the location of my kitchen sink, added plumbing to accommodate the washing machine, and completely overhauled my bathroom (moving sink, shower and toilet). Flooring was a huge job, and Sabi Construction handled it expertly. My old parquet floor was heavily damaged, and had to be removed. Sabi installed a new sub-floor, leveled it (!), then installed beautiful long wide tiles than look like wood planks. The bathroom was gutted, plumbing overhauled, and then beautifully tiled floor-to-ceiling. Some walls were altered also: Sabi removed an old unusable fireplace, expanded a closet, and oversaw window installation. In the kitchen they installed cabinets and an island.

Everything was well organized and thoughtfully handled. Communication was great from start to finish. The owner, Isli, kept me informed about progress, answered all questions, and provided thoughtful and creative solutions to all issues (from bumpy walls to how to maximize the tiny closet space). And they kept me updated with frequent photos and FaceTime video when I was out of town.

Costs were clearly communicated in writing and it was easy to discuss things when small changes were made or when I had questions. There were no surprises. Sabi dealt with the co-op board, building management, utility companies, neighbors, and the Dept of Buildings in the same respectful and clear manner that they did with me. Neighbors even commented about how responsible Sabi was in keeping hallways clean. And it was a big weight off my shoulders that they took care of all permits and inspections.

Overall, I am thrilled with the results. The process was smooth, and even fun. The apartment looks fantastic. I highly recommend Sabi Construction and would use then again on any other project I have.“

Sam from NuEra Contracting guided us through the entire process—from applying for Landmark permits to obtaining DOT permits and arranging the custom order of bluestone slabs required for the repair.

We did encounter some communication issues along the way, but the quality of the final product and the courtesy of the team truly stood out.
We contracted Gaudioso for renovations on our new home in early March. We received a thorough, detailed quote very quickly, and the overall professionalism at the start was impressive. Shortly afterward, our HVAC system unexpectedly broke, and we needed to pause our original plans. Gaudioso was patient and kept in touch appropriately while we figured things out. When we changed the scope a month later and asked for help with the HVAC, they sent someone out immediately, which we really appreciated.

Up to this point, our experience had been fantastic. Where things became challenging was in receiving the updated estimate. For several understandable reasons: questions about whether the HVAC needed full replacement and someone being out on vacation—the quote was delayed. However, it was still very stressful to have to follow up multiple times, especially as the project stretched into the summer when we urgently needed AC. We also felt unsettled on the first day of work when the project manager, who had been to our home previously, seemed unclear about the details of the project. It made us concerned about how this project would go. Additionally, despite several requests to make my husband the primary contact (and even setting up a group text), communication continued to go only to me, which was frustrating.

Once the work actually began, though, everything went smoothly. The workers who came to the house were consistently kind, respectful, and tidy. They did a wonderful job on both the bathroom and the HVAC. After the initial hiccups, the project manager’s communication improved significantly when it came to decisions about shower doors, tile, and other details. There were still a few moments where communication could have been clearer, but things ultimately worked out well.

Overall, we’re very happy with the final result and with the professionalism of the team once the project was underway. Gaudioso is a great company with skilled, courteous workers, and with a few improvements to communication and project coordination, the experience could be even better. We would work with them again.“
