Went here recently based on a word of mouth recommendation to get my new prescription filled. Tiny spot, great results. His frame selection is curated, focused on name brands in mid to high end models. He can get many frames not in his current inventory, and offers the newest options in gradients and tints. I knew what I wanted going in, tried a selection of frames within my desired style, but passed up a couple dozen styles as they just weren’t sitting right on my face. He suggested a frame in a different style than I was going for (nose pads vs keyhole, dual material wire frame vs solid acrylic). The frames contoured to my brows, gave a lift to my eyes, and sat comfortably on nose. Went in requiring utilitarian, came out with that plus elegance. Win. They were ready quickly, perfectly calibrated, and needed just a minor tweak on the nose pads to sit. Hernan is highly skilled, fast and patient, no fuss, obviously really loves what he does, and has exceptional knowledge of his craft. Smooth and pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

I first discovered Permanent Beauty years ago through a Groupon deal. Now, I keep coming back during Sunnyside Salon & Spa Weeks because the deals are too good to pass up! The place itself doesn't exactly feel like a luxurious spa but more like a low-key, tucked-away spot. The staff's English is limited, so communication is simple and to the point, but honestly, it works just fine. Most importantly, they do excellent facials, and that's what keeps me returning.

I provided the tiles of my choice and he had everything else needed. he cleaned up when he was done. he was easy to get in touch with.

I had gone to Lynch's Funeral Home quite a few times paying my respect over the years, but this time it was my loved one that passed. I called to see if they could pick up the body from over 150 miles away and without hesitation he said no problem. Dan and Matt were kind, caring, understanding, helpful and organized throughout the whole process. They answered any questions that arose during the stressful viewing and Matt even came through when I realized I didn't arrange for a priest to come to say a prayer. He made a call and arranged for a priest to come over. Dan lead us to the cemetery, clearly explained each step of what we were doing, he said a couple of prayers, we all placed the roses he gave us and the casket was lowered. Everything went so smoothly and it was a blessing that I didn't have to worry about anything except my lost loved one. They are truly professional and I would use them again without hesitation.

A OLD school hair salon owned by a old school barber and that's what I needed on a Friday morning . Needed a little trim and clean up before my court date (non paying former tenant) and Rocco did the job in 15 minutes and now I look respectable I guess. Nothing fancy or garish about the salon and that's fine as its a clean simple place with a bunch of comfy salon chairs and waiting seating as well. Good haircut , fair price and worth the short trip to Sunnyside from Astoria. 4 stars on my yelp meter.

An exquisite little flower shop with a cafe! I came across it two years ago as it is near a place I have to visit often. I purchased a beautiful small plant with a pot from them and the plant is still alive and growing beautifully. They informed me they help with repotting plants , which I will have to do soon and looking forward to paying them a visit again. I’ve had their lattes several times and they all taste delicious . My favorite is the blueberry latte with oat milk . Service seems good and the staff always answer my questions. Only thing I wish is that they had dairy/ soy free options for their baked items, I wish I can try them as they look super delicious.

From the start, she was very gentle and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I ended up really loving both the service and the final result. She charged by hair length, which I appreciated for the transparency.

I was very happy with the caring aides sent by Alvita Home Care to assist my mother. They were kind and patient and full of good cheer to help us through some difficult days. The coordination team of Kedar and Donita in the Long Island office was exceptional. They were on top of all the scheduling requests, always responsive and did a thoughtful and thorough job matching my mother’s needs and disposition with the aides they sent. I had a previous injury to my left ankle back in 2008 which was not properly cared for. Years later and being 60 years old, it has led to damage to my left knee with multiple tears and sprain in my left knee with pain up to my left hip. I have been to multiple places for PT over the years. This year, I received PT with the most excellent care from Dr Sarah Sinson at Optum. She is knowledgeable and very skilled yet kind, caring, and compassionate. The one on one therapy with her is the best I have ever experienced. The care was tailored to me and not just a to-do list and then leave you alone. Even though it’s over 2 miles from where I live with multiple PT places walking distance from me, I’d rather go there. I feel so blessed that she takes my insurance. She is just simply amazing.
I cannot emphasize enough the absolute magic Tommy's performed on my wedding dress. This dress was covered in dirt from dancing and water stains from being in a basement for too long. These stains were probably around 10 years old. I put off cleaning my dress because I assumed it was a lost cause.
I was SHOCKED when I got it back and it was PERFECT - like it was brand new. Even the delicate lace parts were cleaned. Truly shocked. My husband and I still talk about it. I cannot thank the team at Tommy's enough for taking such good care of my dress. They are the best!

I was a little bummed sunny was on vacation-she is the only nail tech that does designs.. however I settled for more of a simple look this year- Co Co did great and asked me if everything looked good between each step of getting my nails done. I will definitely be a returning customer! Their salon is very clean and well taken care of!

I went in for a 60-minute bodywork massage, and it was absolutely amazing. I’ve been dealing with tension and pain from my shoulders all the way up to behind my ears, and the therapist was incredibly skilled. They really focused on every pressure point and even included hot stones, which made the experience even more relaxing and effective.
I highly recommend this place to everyone. It’s rare to find a spot that truly knows what they’re doing, and I hope more people get to discover how great this place is!
