I finally decided to have my hand knotted Persian rug professionally cleaned after putting it off for years. It sits in the busiest room of my house, so I assumed the colors had simply faded with age. After the rug cleaning process was completed, I realized most of what I thought was fading was actually years of built up dust and dirt. The colors became richer, the wool felt noticeably softer, and the intricate pattern really came back to life. It completely changed the look of the room.
