this studio is amazing. it’s a community of students and teachers. who enjoy intuitive and creative movement while being dedicated to yogic tradition. haven’t been to another studio since!

I recently moved to Greenpoint and have been looking for group fitness classes in my new neighborhood. I was hesitant to give Lucent a try because in the past I've struggled to get through yoga classes, finding them unapproachable for beginners. My experience with Lucent changed my perspective on yoga. The studio is welcoming and unpretentious, with an ambiance that has a calming effect as soon as you walk in. I took a class with Amanda - it was engaging and provided plenty of variations to accommodate all levels of practice. I consider myself a yoga novice and felt included and challenged from start to finish. Really looking forward to my next class!

Cute local yoga spot, teachers vary so just try different classes until you find one you like. On ClassPass, has a great new student unlimited week deal. Mats are a little old/not cared for, so optimally you would bring your own.
