86 Fleet Pl #18F, Brooklyn“I called Dominik (tearfully and desperately) less than a week into having our 6 month old rescue puppy, who is a mix of working breeds including German shorthair pointer. We knew Birdie was very smart and had a lot of potential, but we had no idea how to properly parent her and found ourselves extremely overwhelmed with her energy, zoomies, and teenage testing phase. After just a few sessions with Dominik and following his methods, we felt like we had a different dog. We were able to understand what motivates her, how to better structure her days and exercise her, and overall how to communicate more effectively with her. Dominik instantly recognized Birdie’s high potential and effectively coached us in how to train her and show leadership. We now have a dog who is able to listen and relax and settle and with whom we are able to have a fun, rewarding relationship with. I truly don’t know if we would have been able to get to this place, particularly in NYC, without Dominik. We are very grateful! Dominik is responsive, helpful, clear, and able to understand both dogs and humans effectively!“

681 4th Ave, Brooklyn“We love GoDoG and highly recommend them for dog walking and boarding. They have been walking and taking care of our dog for 8 years, since he was a puppy. Our dog loves all the walkers and when he gets to board, and looks forward to every walk. Everyone is super nice and we have total trust in them. Our dog is a handful and GoDoG minimizes all anxiety. A great part of the community.“

He started off so anxious and scared, but now is always so excited whenever we're headed towards the daycare doors. Thank you, Danielle and Throw Me A Bone team for providing such great care in the comfort of our own apartment building“

125 Roebling St, Brooklyn“I couldn't have been luckier to bump into Elizabeth. She found me struggling to walk Moses (a new pit doggo i'm fostering) and immediately took us in, gave him a harness (he chewed through his last one from his last foster home) and treats. Then, she taught me how to hold him, walk him, and the first steps of training him. Before I met Elizabeth, Moses was dragging me around and I had lower back pain just from the 16 hours I've had him for. Now, (1 day later) I felt comfortable walking him from south williamsburg to Radio Bakery in Greenpoint. I would recommend everyone, especially new dog owners, to go to The Dog Institute. I was so overwhelmed by Moses and now I can comfortable take him out and know that I'm teaching him the right habits, making it easier for him to find his forever home.“

169 Starr St, Brooklyn“Writing this review for both myself and Lucca ( my fur child), we cannot thank Joseph with K9 Starr training enough. He not only brings a great vast understanding of dog's mindset, behavior, and progression, Joseph is patient, honest and very eager to solve any issues you bring him regarding your four-legged friend.
Lucca, my fur pal, is 6yr old 70 lbs rescue presented with severe reactivity and obedience issues that grew worse and worse with his age. Before training with Joseph, Lucca and I's walks would be bring us both a lot of anxiety not knowing if Lucca would completely loose his mind, barking with force and pulling in any dog's direction. The breaking point occurred in line at a coffee shop. Lucca saw a fellow dog in line and freaked out and in the process of reeling him back in/ calming him down - I broke my finger - then needing surgery.
Joseph broke down the training basics and obedience skills not only instructing and training Lucca, but myself , as a dog owner as well. With constant practice and communication with Joseph over our 3 training sessions, Lucca has 180 'ed his behavior. His obedience is at a level I honestly never thought I would ever reach with Lucca. Lucca and I walks have become more enjoyable and less stressful for the both of us. We have frequented the same coffee shop where the finger incident occurred- and Lucca is able to sit my side while I drink a large cup of coffee- totally calm and unreactive towards dog and people!! -Truly amazing!
As dog parents- of course we love our fur children unconditionally, but with this training and unlocked new Happier relationship with Lucca - we are able to enjoy our company together so much more as owner and best fur pal.
If you have a dog, that has any issue, I hope this review further encourages you to reach out to K9 Starr dog training.

1510 Gates Ave 2nd Floor, Brooklyn“I have been using Pawsability for over a year now, and they are undoubtedly the best dog care facility I have used. They exceed expectations in every category, and go above and beyond to make sure both the kiddos and parents are taken care of, while operating as a non profit which directly impacts members of the local community. A great indicator of how excellent they are is the lack of employee turnover, which is often an issue with other facilities. Not only is the daycare great, but having the onsite grooming is a game changer. I am truly grateful that Carmela and I have Pawsability.“

2125 Bath Ave, Brooklyn“I made an account just to rave about this place Dr. Lutanskiy is amazing he helped my dog with his upset stomach, and his staff were so kind. Most importantly the prices were fair, and they were upfront about everything. An honest vet is rare in New York.“

175 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn“It was my first time at What’s Up Dog leaving my dogs for boarding while I give birth. I have been to many daycares and have never experienced such kindness and love from a daycare like What’s Up Dog. The staff is amazing and super understanding and accommodating! The boys were so happy and thrived, they sent us updates and were always on top of everything. I couldn’t imagine going into labor without the staff’s support and help. Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had from a daycare and they truly care and it shows. They also sent the boys home with bags of treats which was the sweetest thing ever! Shoutout to Kendall for just being the best and kindest person ever?“

306 Gold St, Brooklyn“We could not have asked for a better pet sitter! Nellie went above and beyond with all of our crazy requests (and we had a lot ?). She sent me SO many pictures and videos throughout her visits, which made me feel completely at ease while we were away. Communication was absolutely on point—super quick, clear, and thoughtful.
The best part? The night we came home, my two cats were literally sitting by the front door… waiting for HER. I was a tiny bit jealous (lol), but mostly just so happy knowing how loved and cared for they were. ? She truly treated them like her own.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and totally in tune with your pets, Nellie is your girl. We’re so grateful we found her!“

1219 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn“Love Red Hydrant for my mini-schnauzer. Owner Jeff is extremely kind and adaptable with dogs of all breeds and attuned to each dog’s specific needs. If you’re based in Brooklyn, there are so many daycare/boarding options and I’ve evaluated a few.
Red Hydrant makes the process of boarding painless and I always trust my dog will be in safe and caring hands when in their care.“

Highly recommended!“

76 Rockwell Pl, Brooklyn“I can’t express how much Hi-Bk is a part of our family. I have been sending our amazing dog Tik Tak for over 3 years and he is always happy to get to daycare. He is not a rambunctious dog, and I love that they have dogs by temperament, not size since all small dogs are not the same! Beyond anything about the day to day - hi bk alerted us of medical situation that Tik Tak was having which led to an early diagnosis for a very serious condition - they literally added years to his life, not sure what more you can ask for from doggy daycare!“

“I was very worried about my little guy while I'm at work. I work long hours and Jordans pet care has been a life saver. I find the scheduling and cancelling easy and quick through their app. Which works with my constantly changing shift work. It always gives me a smile when I see a mid day notification updating me on the walk with added pictures so I can see him. The entire process was very fast and professional, from me initially calling and having the meetup and scheduling done 3 days later. Overall while it's a pricey service you are getting the quality you are paying for. I really got the impression the staff and walker care about the animals they work with“
