Went to Tresca for the first time several months ago and it was a good experience. She was able to replicate the image I showed her of reference pictures with a little adjustment based on what we thought would look best. Got a short shaggy cut that would grow out into a mullet with shaved sides. The haircut made me feel very confident and it is now a go-to haircut of mine. I was nervous paying with cash so I calculated the tip wrong in my head so I tipped too little and I felt bad :( I did not realize until afterwards.

I was referred to Vee by my bestfriend Machelle. I showed Vee some pictures , I wanted to perm my hair. I came in but my hair was unfortunately too short and she told me to come back when it gets a bit longer. Which at that point she wanted to make sure it came out to how I wanted it. Hair rescue!! I have a performance tomorrow and Madrid took me in last minute. I cut my own big chop a couple months ago and I had no idea what I was doing, so it came out uneven, split ends and no shape. Ive been rocking a curly Afro to mask the mess until I found Madrid today. He is an expert stylist with amazing cutting skills. Madrid shaped my cut to compliment my face and make my color look like highlights! His products brought my hair back to life and they smell good, too! I even got a mini hair lesson while in his chair on how to bring out my natural curl pattern using Madrid’s Haircare Texturing Lotion & Nourishing Coconut Yogurt. Adam Wayne is absolutely amazing--an intuitive craftsman who managed to "get" my challenging hair, which is a combo of both straight and wavy and cannot take just any old cut. Adam also did my highlights which I'm using as a way to lean into going more gray. I've gotten soooo many compliments on my hair and have never been happier.

This review has gone unwritten for far too long…. I’ll say this though, almost 2 months later and this style has grown out in the most fantastic way, I still love it!
Not only did Universe provide an amazing and lasting cut, the entire experience was outstanding! We felt welcomed, acknowledged, and really taken care of.
I asked for a shag; my hair was not quite long enough to achieve the absolute desired style but the shape has held strong and the next cut promises to be the shag of my dreams!!
My wife also received a cut, she has long, curly hair- I honestly don’t think that I’ve seen a more flattering cut on her, she loves it!!
One final and important thing to mention- we will be forever grateful to Universe for showing us a kindness during a very difficult time (which is partially the reason why it has taken me so long to get around to writing this). Our beautiful elder dog was quite sick at the time of the appointment so we asked if we could bring her with us; there was no hesitation on their part in graciously welcoming our pup to the shop, it meant the world to us, and the icing is that our 16 year old dog is doing really well!
Just got a haircut from Nick at G Circle: such a great result! Definitely one of the best haircuts I've had, inconveniently located here in downtown Oakland! I'll definitely be coming back! I'm very very happy I was recommended to come here, Nick took his time and clearly takes pride in his work, my haircut is very clean and I feel very refreshed, this just made my day! There is a first time for everything and my first time getting my haircut a Terrance Barbershop was a great experience. First of all, his Barbershop is one of the cleanest, greatly kept up barbershops I've ever been to. Second, Terrance is nice and great to talk to and really cares about his clients. Third, I don't really care for big barbershops with multiple barbers and multiple people. One barber with one chair and not a lot of people is perfect for me. I highly recommend everyone to have Terrance cut their hair. You have to make an appointment and that's not a hassle. Shoutout to Terrance for hooking up the fade. Terrance is definitely going to be my go to barber!

This place is awesome, last time I came here Mike took care of me. He had me looking fresh plus the Charles is an awesome Guy. Feels like a really barbershop for fancy folk to be honest but everyone there is down to earth. Service was great, music was great, and the atmosphere was great as well. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Wanted to gate keep this place but need to share it with people so they also have an awesome experience when they get they cut.

Amazing. Took my 80 year old father here for a shave. He was treated so kind and with patience. He loved his shave and he's looks great. My dad's only complaint was about his sideburns, but I'm going to chalk that up to him being 80 and felt it necessary to fuss about something. Caught him looking at himself in the mirror and admiring his smooth face. I'll keep taking him back here whenever he's in need of a little self care. Thx!!
Cannot reccomend enough! It's amazing to have a place where I can feel safe and seen and get a gender-affirming haircut. I've been going to Wes for around 2 years now, and they're great. I moved about 20 minutes farther away than I was, but it's still worth the trip.

The space is clean and welcoming and everyone I've interacted with has been nothing but friendly and kind. This review really is for Sonia though, who is, I believe, a hair-cutting genius. I used to dread getting a hair cut because it seemed like my preferences were not actually listened to or if I brought in a reference photo it was seen as merely "inspiration" and not a source for replication. Sonia is able to execute exactly what you ask for, a precision which I can only attribute to a kind of perfect clarity of both mental and literal vision. The first time I came in she cut my hair identically to the photo I showed her. The second time, even more impressively, Sonia gave me the hair cut I was only imagining in my head! I will probably never go to anyone else again.
This is the real deal. So friendly, prompt service, clean old school barbershop. I cannot rave enough of this place. This is what a business should be! Kudos to both of you. Great asset to street and area. They take pride in their work and establishment.

Soon as you come into the Spa, you are asked to wash your hands. The Spa was very well cleaned. Complimentary beverages are given and all of the staff were friendly, treating each guest like royalty! My leg and feet massage was EVERYTHING! It was not rushed, gentle yet therapeutic in nature. The music was soothing relaxing the mind. I really love this place, and I’m grateful I found it! This is was my first time here, despite walking by on many occasions. My friend and I were very pleased with the pedicures. We got the deluxe and it was lovely. We were seated upstairs and it was cozy and relaxing. My feet, which get beat up from climbing and running, haven't looked this good in ages.

I have been going to Saunders & James for around 6 months, and cannot recommend them enough. They are kind, professional, and the salon is so peaceful. I have gotten standard manicures and pedicures, gel manicures and pedicures, and builder gel manicures, and have been satisfied with each of these services (highly recommend builder gel). I see Indra on a regular basis, she is wonderful.

Did a same day walk in. I went in for a pedicure and full set, loved the fact that they made way to get me seated right away for my pedicure, the gentleman who helped me was older guy with glasses, he made sure I was accommodated with a drink on their menu which I got water instead but they had other options which I liked. It was a bit humid in there, but I didn’t mind much of it, I know it’s summer and the heat is a lot this year. Gave them a vision of how I wanted my nails done and they all worked as a team, they don’t do acrylic which I was surprised to hear, but they have a different method which I think is way better and chemically safer opposed to the strong acrylic you smell going into other nail shops, where you smell it so strong to the point you almost pass out. It was easy, safe, and smoother they should recommend other shops to use this safw method. I had my 2 year old too and they were very good with her and patient which is a plus to me! Love the way my nails turned out will be back!

Lunar New Year Cat Eye stamped nails by O! The best Japanese gel nails done by the best nail professional. Meant to post this earlier but I have been caught up in my first home purchase (sorry O!). I smile every time I look at my nails and it's the ONE self care item that I can do that stays solid until my next appointment with O. She is booked up MONTHS in advance so be AWARE of this and patient. You want the BEST nail tech, you have to book her in advance and she IS worth the wait. Be sure to tip her for what she is worth also because she really puts her heart and soul into her nail artistry and craft. Thank you O! Her studio is very clean and tucked away inside a series of shops in Montclair. Bathroom is always clean in the back also.

My daughter flies in to town just to have Frodanda color her hair. This has been my go to stylist for the past 22 years. If she wasn't great at what she does, I would have made a switch. He asked me what I was looking for and executed well - he checked with me throughout the cut to make sure he was meeting expectations. Very quick and affordable (although his prices are listed by gender, he regards the length only, so I was charged for a men's cut) - I'll definitely be back again.
I come here all the time to get a full sewn-in from the multi-talented Dionna Richardson. She does braids, weaves, locks, flat-iron, color, literally EVERYTHING! All you have to do is show her a pic of what you want and she's got you! If you are in a time constraint no worries, you will be in and out before you know it. The ambiance is very welcoming and professional. I highly recommend this place!

Jae is the hair care expert. With consistency, Jae will have your hair healthy and beautiful. My thick hair is now well into my back and I won't let anyone else touch it. As a busy professional, it is refreshing to have a hair stylist who is respectful of my time. She does not overbook. I really appreciate that Jae invests in continuing education to keep up with latest and best haircare options.
Hair type: My hair is naturally super thick and coarse. Jae has made my hair very manageable, conditioned, and soft. Now my blowout and straightening lasts between 3-4 weeks, No problem.

I haven't had a lot of experience with facials, but found myself needing some expert skin care so I contacted Charlotte. She was responsive to my request for an appointment and asked questions to get a sense of my skin care needs, including allergies. The studio is a relaxing, pleasant environment and Charlotte was friendly, professional and obviously has a lot of knowledge about what she does. I appreciated that she told me in advance about what she was about to do and how it would feel. Charlotte has a gentle touch, and even though my face was a little pink afterwards as can be expected, my skin was very happy and much improved by the next day. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

If you have acne or a child with acne, this should be your first and only stop. I spent thousands of dollars over the course of my teenage years with dermatologists and facials and nothing improved my skin. Within weeks of seeing Julie, my skin issues were solved. I've been using their products since 2012 and recently, my husband's skin dramatically changed using their long distance program and products. When my kids are hitting puberty, Julie and her team will be our first call. Also, my mother, in her late 60s, came to see Beth and also had a skin-changing experience and now only uses these products (she's in her 70s now).

I checked out Simply Gorgeous Day Spa while visiting my BFF in Oakland, and was delighted to receive the same level of service I've spent almost two decades finding down here in LA. In particular, I was blown away by the facial I received. I was blessed with the services of Marina, whose holistic understading of care included mental and even spiritual treatment on top of physical, made me feel like I were visiting my therapist and a meditation temple in addition to a top drawer conventional spa.
I departed from Gorgeous with glowing skin, a back freed from muscle tension, improved breathing, and even a more positive mindset. In other words, I felt Gorgeous.

In Generally, the masseurs in this store are very skilled and powerful, and they can fully treat my back relaxing. But the only thing that needs to be improved is the sound insulation of the room. I could clearly hear other people walking. The massage is a relaxing treat, I hope the owner will consider installing carpet.

So it's been a while since I got a tattoo here. (17 years according to Yelp! Gasp! ). I stalked the gorgeous Miya Matsui and I am so glad I checked her out! I wanted Memorial tattoo for my mom, who passed in 2017 and Miya did such a beautiful job! Love her work. The tattoo is of my native Filipino sampaguita and butterfly. She is absolutely phenomenal and worth every fricken penny I spent one her! She definitely needs to have an assistant though. She is super busy and is sometimes not that responsive. Be patient with her though. She is worth the wait.
Chummy was awesome. Me and my best friend went there, he was able to finish 3 tattoos total for us in a reasonable time, at reasonable prices, made cleanliness a priority, and he took us as walk-ins. He is interesting to talk to and I felt comfortable asking him to make certain alterations that I wanted without feeling like a burden. It was also my friend’s first time getting a tattoo and he made sure she felt comfortable and could take breaks if she needed. If I get another tattoo while I’m in the area I’ll definitely be returning.

James and Jason from Pipe Spy did excellent work opening up our blocked 100 foot sewer lateral and then took a video to show the pipe was clear to the sewer main. They explained options for preventing tree roots from getting into the pipe in the future. I hope to use Pipe Spy for future plumbing work.
Pipe Spy personnel returned to replace a section of broken sewer pipe which had allowed tree roots to enter. They were careful to protect plants growing around the pipe and did excellent clean up. All in all we were very pleased with their people and the work they did.
I called Oakland rooter for a clogged drain. Alberto came out the next day first thing in the morning. He was quick friendly and cleared the drain. I asked him for an estimate for removing my garbage disposal and he gave me an honest price. He came out the very next day and did an excellent job. I will be using Oakland Rooter for all my plumbing needs for now on.

Had a few hiccups with the scheduling, but the work was top notch. The crew went above and beyond. Instead if digging up the brick and replacing it with concrete, they sawed the mortar and put it all back together when done. When they were done I couldn't even tell someone had dug up my whole yard an hour before.

Needed a sewer lateral replacement and got a great quote that was significantly lower than others I got. There was a one star review here that said their response time was slow and not confidence-inspiring. While I did feel that way at first, (I was about to go with another company before he messaged me after some time) the way he took care of everything from the replacement to the certificate made up for it.

Other plumbers insisted on seeing it in person but with thumbs up plumbing I sent a picture and answered a few questions and that was that. I was looking for someone to fix a diverter for three handle shower, water was not flowing properly.
The plumber Eddie was very chill and down to earth, I have a lot going on at my house (dogs, cats, people coming and going). I forgot to tell my upstairs neighbors we had to shut the water off and he offered to tell them for me ? though it ended up not being an issue because he finished the job in a bit over an hour. My shower is now working! And also the drain in the tub that was draining slowly is working better too, not sure why (a different company told me 400 for the drain !) but I'm not complaining.

We just used Power + Light to modernize our electrical system and some other electric projects and we highly recommend them.We bought our home in Dec and Mike came out the Sat before Xmas to give us an estimate, which was very reasonable. It was also easy scheduling the work for the beginning of Jan.Jason came out and updated our wiring, which had been going into an old fuse box in a tight corner of a closet. He also installed an EV power station and confirmed the safety of the wiring in our attic (so we can get it insulated), as per our original plan. He was also able to work with us for some on the fly projects to add/move some outlets and install a garage door panel.It was always easy working with Mike and Jason. We always felt like we knew what was going on and there were no surprises. It was also a reasonable price. I highly recommend Power + Light and intend to use them for all our electric needs.

Ok - I have no words for that first review. I have used Dave multiple times in my home because he is literally the only electrician I now trust. He's honest, fair, quick, diligent and works hard. He does the job right or he won't do it at all. No corners are cut. That's why I like him so much. I can get cheaper but I can't get better. He's about his business for real. I have never felt disrespected by and he has never ever been nasty. Not sure what happened at that store, but I can assure you, if you're looking for a well qualified electrician who is an EXPERT in his field, call Dave and use Blue Line.

OMG! I don’t know what would of happened if Devin didn’t come to our rescue!My coworkers car keys got stolen in Oakland :-(! In one of my projects I felt horrible for him! We always take care of our employees!I soon as I heard this I reached out to a couple lock smith the first one responded really quick and never sent a technician!!! We wasted more than half of day waiting for them!At around noon I found two wheeled locksmith!! Devin didn’t answer my call but texted me right away! I was a bit sketchy at first due to my experience with the first locksmith that I reached to! I constantly kept texting Devin even tho he confirmed multiple times he was going to go help us, I couldn’t help feeling anxious. I even called him but Devin was so patience with me he understood my worry! For the 500th time (lol) he reassure me he was going to go to the site in 20mins and 20mins later my coworker confirmed Devin had arrived!!!Devin ended up replacing the ignition free of charge and took my guy to the store with him to Keep him safe (it was dark already) Devin grow up in that area and was concerned for my guy standing in the street on his own! My heart fills up with happiness thinking of everything Devin did to keep my guy safe!Devin worked until 8pm just to make sure my coworker got home safe!I can’t thank Devin enough for going the extra mile!! I had other quotes that were much more expensive and a flooring expert that told me that the floors were too far gone and needed to be ripped and replaced. I just completed a major condo renovation with A2Z Remodeling Inc. Project manager Meir Bar was a delight to work with and expertly guided the process from initial contact to final sign-off. Beyond expectations! My third project with Challenge Rooter was the biggest yet: to replace and upgrade the drainage system from the back patio, through the yard, to the street. PLUS during the same 3 days replace approx. 115 ft. of old clay pipe sewer lateral, including permit and inspection fees, excavation, proper traffic control, necessary concrete removal and replacement, replacing city WYE connection, obtaining the sewer lateral compliance test, off-hauling debris, cleaning work area, and more than can describe here. Basically, everything that needed to be done was done well! This was a relief, as my abundant past experiences with contractors, plumbers and other professional services often required me to keep a close eye to avoid pitfalls. With Challenge Rooter, Chebo the owner, Rosa and staff in the office, and the highly-experienced teams of workers maintained clear communication throughout the process, were responsive to any questions I might have, and the scheduling was precise. Great service for a great value. I coordinated for my aunt who lives in San Francisco and needed new insulation and air ducts in her old Victorian home. Altamira did some foundation repairs on our 100 year old home and did an excellent job! They gave us a fair assessment of our foundation and a good price for the repairs. Arrived on time and finished the work when they said they would. DIG installed our graywater system and rainwater tanks. Throughout, Mano, Niko, and others have been fantastically patient, calm and competent. They've also gone over and beyond with followup help when we've needed it. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

We love our garden facelift. The benefits of soil amendments, redesigning paths , drip irrigation, replenished mulch and wonderful lights that make it all a magic place at night are wonderful. With the recent rains, we have never had so much growth and color and beauty without having to deal with the weeds because of the design features as well as the regular maintenance for the entire yard.. Lara was very easy to work with, listening to our ideas and quickly helping us understand what was and wasn't realistic. She and her team provided a variety of services (thorough weeding, planting new plants, adding irrigation, building a gate) and executed them with good quality and in a timely manner. She was also a great sounding board throughout the process as new ideas came up.Her prices are not the cheapest but the work was good quality, and she was willing to make adjustments to fit our budget.We'd definitely work with Lara again in the future.
Nice selection of native plants, in good shape. It's not a very service oriented place—they're only open a few hours on Fridays, not much signage, it's a cash business, and their inventory online isn't really up to date. However, this is reflected in their low prices, which made it worth the hassle to me. Also they had healthy plants with new growth on them which is what matters most to me. It has the vibe of a place that sells to the trade or experienced gardeners. I thought it was a good find, but kind of like a hidden/rough gem.
Justine has been great. He came and pruned the Granda Flora Magnolia in my back patio. There is no access and he took the initiative to go to the apartment building next door to get permission to bring his truck into their lot. I could tell he loves trees and loves to climb. He and his helper did a great job of pruning and cleaning up everything afterward. Since then I've consulted with him on a root issue. He was helpful and graciously gave me advice.
Ron Tavares is an excellent tree trimmer. He and his crew are friendly and conscientious. They do good work and their prices are reasonable.
Gregg and crew are great to work with! We've used them at least 3 times now. They are really knowlegable about trees and pruning. I can trust that they will interpret what I ask of them and tell me if it can be done, or if not advisable they provide an explanation. Very tidy, respectful and polite service. I really appreciate their expertise. They are careful and take their time doing a great job. They do not disappoint!

pros : their dental skill is great . I loved it . cons: there is nowhere easily rinse my mouth I gotta stand up and walk toward to the sink to rinse inside of my mouth. so I almost swallow my blood in my mouth Also, when i ask to get a tissue someone gave me a stiff brown tissue but I needed to blow my nose. I got it eventually but they dont know how to serve patients . also its hard to find parking spot they only had 3 spots but itwasnot easy to park . I eventually park a block away after paying. I like their skill though

I absolutely LOVE Little Goldfish Dentistry! The dental assistants and the dentist are amazing. My daughter has been coming here since she was about 10 months. I love how they make the office very kid friendly ever season it's decorated and looks so nice. The front office ladies are great and so sweet. Dr.P is great as well I love how he interact with the kiddos. My favorite is the balloons and certificate at the end. They are very good at following up with you after the appointment and doing appointment reminder calls. Oh and during certain holidays they decorate and have a photo wall for the kids. It's so cute I would post pics but they all have my kiddos face lol so just go for yourself and check this place. They recently renovated and it looks so good in there.

Over the last few years in his care, Dr. Louie has proven himself to be an excellent dentist. He does his own cleanings and is calm and gentle during treatment. I recently had some cosmetic work done where he added composite to my front teeth and the outcome was excellent - I couldn't be happier.
I phoned Laurel Smile Dentistry to find out about implants, comparison shopping after my regular dentist had given me a fee estimate for two dental bridges that was higher than I'd expected. I thought, "Since I have to pay out of pocket, maybe I can do better." What I did not expect was to be connected to the owner of the practice, Dr. Sibhatu himself. He welcomed me warmly, and offered me a complimentary consultation that same day. When I showed up, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcome I received from the staff -- a tour of the office facilities, a bottle of water, and a state-of-the-art X-ray (you stand still and the machine circles your head). (Remember -- this was all part of a complimentary consultation.) Once the X-ray results were ready, Dr. Sibhatu came in to greet me. I found him very warm and reassuring. He told me that -- in contrast to what my regular dentist had said -- I did not need two dental bridges, just one, and explained why. Then he offered me a senior discount that I hadn't even known to ask for. With my Care Credit account already in place, I could afford the payments. I made an appointment for the implant, and left feeling as close to royalty as you can when going to the dentist.
I am really optimistic about my dental journey after having my first appointment at Oakland Smile Dentistry. Everyone from the front desk receptionist to the hygienists and Doctors were kind, informative and understanding. Dr. Gupta didn't make my needs feel daunting and hopeless so I am feeling a lot less anxious about my next steps.

DR. CELESTE ALLEN is God's Angel! Truly & honestly. My kids have been seeing Dr. Allen for over 10+ years. She is attentive, caring, and truly an amazing person. They started seeing Dr. Allen when we lived in Oakland. We moved to Hercules & then Pittsburg and I still drive 30-45 minutes so they can see her. She is that good. My oldest daughter is now 23 and still sees Dr. Allen. She dreads turning 25 because she will not be able to continue as her patient. I have been holding off on writing this review because I really didn't want to share Dr. Allen but I'm realizing that others need her as well. DR. CELESTE ALLEN IS THE BEST!
Best chiropractic office in Oakland. Some of us need ongoing chiropractic care to manage; and Dr. Melissa Crago has been it for me. I needed immediate care one Saturday and stumbled on her office being open, best thing that happened. I've also seen Dr. Ryan and I feel extremely taken care of by both practictioners. The office support is amazing and holistic; Dr. Crago has set me up w/ referrals and been supportive with pain management. Great hours, always supportive.

I saw Dr. Ban after almost two weeks of debilitating pain. Before Dr. Ban it was urgent care and Dr. visits, all resulting in the offer of pain meds and time to feel better. After one visit to Dr. Ban I felt hope and at least 50% better. Within a week I felt like I could do basic tasks again and within a week more I had graduated to maintenance care with full movement again. I will continue to see Dr. Ban because I believe she has my best interests in mind. She shows integrity in her care and in the frequency she recommends. She listens to me and is excellent in finding the cause of pain. I went to see Dr. Ban originally out of necessity. Now I see her to maintain a level of personal care I was lacking and I look forward to continuing.
Waltz family is very helpful and attentive, as well as knowledgable and during my regular visits I was listened to and my adjustments always left me feeling better than I came in, and over time I've been able to regain some of my lost mobility and that has helped me a lot on my fitness and health goals. I highly recommed consulting with them on your health journey.
I've been coming here for years. My body has lots of challenges between scoliosis, pectus excavatum, and most recently a hip injury from losing so much muscle mass post-surgery. My body is in so much pain and non- functional when I'm not coming here. Cannot recommend Dr. Malcolm enough. After my hip injury, I'd been doing PT for 8 months, seen multiple specialists at Kaiser with very minimal improvement. Finally decided to go back to chiropractic and after 2 adjustments from Dr. Malcolm, my pain and functionality are DRASTICALLY improved. He's thorough, knowledgeable, explains what's going on with your anatomy and offers exercises for continual improvement. The whole staff is welcoming and supportive. This is the care you need. Your body can heal ??

Doctor Dom and everyone here are wonderful. I had incredible pain in my lower back that made it difficult to walk and even drive. The methods used are gentle, with no twisting or cracking. Dr. Dom continuously checks in to make sure her adjustments feel good, tolerable, or painful so you aren't wondering if the adjustment is supposed to feel a certain way.
Zora, at the front desk, is extremely helpful and friendly. She knows all the patients by name and welcomes everyone equally.

Amazing. Dr. Martinet's work is unique, varied, highly skilled and effective, even in as little as 15 minutes. A massage therapist assessed my C7 was 'out.' Dr. Martinet confirmed it and got it back 'in' quickly and comfortably. My neck can move more and more comfortably now. Thank you Dr. Martinet!!! I needed that!

The doctor was extremely concerned and helpful throughout the initial session. He took X-rays and was able to discuss the issues as well as how to begin treatment prior to my next appointment. The doctor made me aware of my issues and gave me hope for my future goals for my spinal concerns. The office staff was also friendly. I definitely recommend this center for all chiropractic care.

I came into the Dermatology Center of the East Bay wanting to reduce the redness in my face and decrease the amount of visible sun damage. Tarquin and Georgia both helped me figure out my best options, suggesting to get Excel V Laser treatment. It totally helped! I went in for a total of 4 treatments over the course of about 6 months and my face is way less red than it ever has been in the past, and I love it! They were both super helpful and treatment was essentially painless. I also plan to go in the future to take care of some annoying enlarged oil glands; I honestly can't wait because they bother me so much! I would definitely recommend Dermatology Center of the East Bay to any friends that suffer from dermatology issues.

Easy to make an appt online. They came and were great with my cat, whom I could never ever have gotten into a carrier. Very easy to work with. Kind to my cats. I have taken my dog to OakVet to treat a heart murmur for about two years. It is a wonderful pace; the staff is caring, helpful, and consistent (no turnover) - they care for our pets. Dr Williams, the cardiologist who now treats both of our dogs for heart murmurs, is GREAT!!
Alright, here is where I rescind the previous review; Broadway Pet redeemed themselves when the abscess would not abate and she needed to be seen again. They took her right away, luck of the draw perhaps, but no emergency appt. fee, the vet, Dr. Schultz met with me, did a thorough checkup and explained the rule-outs and plan of action for it. My concern was for the necessity of lab work recommended to change antibiotics, a condition that has not been fully detailed to me as needed, and as the cost of labs are the insane part of the bill (340), I challenged that part of the estimate, and they withdrew it and gave me a different antibiotic straight up. They also waived the second abscess draining fee, that was stellar, and their overall care, concern and management of me and my cat was so much better - like the old days. They ended up doing TWO drainings, and guess what? Found a foxtail in the second one, which they gave to me to show me. That's good service. Second bill was 125, Yes. They did right by me. i remain loyal, as they demonstrated their commitment wholeheartedly. They are good.

Sweet staff, Truly. Wonderful, gifted owner vet who suddenly helped diagnose a long-suffering cat when disorganized (in some cases fraudulent) earlier places failed to do so. Attentive vet techs as well. Only real complaints here are that they still don't offer weekend hours and fees, like the rest of vet industry trends, can be high. Hoping any small chain partnerships into which the place enters/has entered will only create a lovely synergy that is beneficial and fair to all: the pets, their humans, and the staff.
Just had out first appointment with L&J Grooming and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Lindsey and Justin were great! My dog loved them right away. We got the works and when I picked him up, he looked adorable. Fresh summer cut, trimmed nails and he smelled amazing! We will definitely be returning to L&J.

Left Coast is an absolutely amazing yoga studio! Most classes are warmed to around 82; initially I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy this but I love it. Instructors are warm and friendly, giving clear cues on how to get into the poses with the right alignment, and without hurting yourself. My favorite teachers at this location are Deb and Malka - Deb teaches slower Alignment Flow and Flow + Restore classes and Malka teaches Power Yoga, which is more of an energetic vinyasa flow. Also love some of the newer teachers, like Zach and Malika. Definitely check it out! They have a great new student special - first month of unlimited classes for $75.
I was attending a conference at the Oakland Convention Center and took Amelia's morning yoga class offered on floor 21 of the Marriott. It was a stunning view and Amelia was a great teacher. I really liked the way she spoke about which move was coming next and I felt very comfortable even as a beginner. Highly recommend hiring her if you have an event.
I have been with Mountain Yoga for a year and I love it! I did a wide sampling of studios from Walnut Creek to Oakland and landed on Mountain Yoga. Basically, it felt most worth my time and money. I learn so many different things from all the teachers that I do not mind driving from Moraga to Oakland 2 to 3 times per week.
This place is a true treasure of wisdom. I have been doing moment for 30+ years yoga, tai chi, martial arts. Working as a professional and a teacher for 20 of those years. JinSung was showing me things that are fundamental to movement and alignment that I have never seen or heard of. In three class I have had breakthroughs that I didn’t know where possible on a physical and emotional level with relationship to my body and moment. I would also like to add my friend who has no yoga experience and does not work out loved the class as well. Please do your self a solid and take a beginner level 1-2 class with JinSung and come with an open mind and heart and see what happens.
