I had a great experience with Nai at Acne Specialists of Alameda! She is super friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable right away by asking what problem areas I was hoping to work on. She explains what will help with my concerns and is encouraging without making me feel scolded about my admittedly bad skincare habits. The treatment was really thorough (she asked about ALL the products I use - including my hair care!) and relaxing (I fell asleep during the red light therapy). She took the time to answer my questions and we even talked about some trendy skin care products/gadgets (she was down to earth about them and I really trusted her knowledge when it came to knowing what was -and wasn't- worth the expense and effort). When I say she was thorough, I should mention that toward the end the session, she noticed that I had a little dryness around my lip area and took the extra time to put a moisturizing treatment on my lips - you have to appreciate a girly that won't let you walk out with ashy lips! I leave feeling glowy, refreshed, and excited that we can achieve the skin I've been yearning for. Thank you so much Nai - I'm so thankful we have you here in Alameda now!

I had the good fortune of having Melissa cut and style my complicated hair. I have a lot of it and when the curls dry they lose about 4 inches of length, but I also blow dry it straight, so in my opinion it takes a master stylist to estimate how it'll look left curly or straightened. I was happy with how I looked when I left the salon, most important how it looks whether I style it curly or straight, and how it looks on my work online meetings. I had my hair braided recently at SGS and they did a fantastic job. Byrisha was the stylist that did my hair and she was great. This is only my second time getting my hair braided and both she and Tina, the owner, were very good about answering all of my questions. The location is perfect, right there at South Shore, so it's easy to get to with plenty of parking. The salon space was comfortable and they were always checking in to see if I wanted anything to drink or snack on. I love having such a convenient spot to get my hair braided. When Sophia is on vacation I go to Nancy or Lily both of whom are excellent. I am more than satisfied with Nancy's Salon and am very grateful to Nancy and her wonderful staff.
I have been going to many local nail salons where I live for pedicures and have been disappointed in everyone. I feel I pay ridiculous amounts of money for fancy chairs, decor, hot rocks, rose petals and champagne, etc. Not that I do not enjoy those things but what I want is quality work. I need pedicure to not only have cute toes but to keep my feet healthy and free from excessive callus growth and cracking. Other shops are revolving people as fast as they can but Nancy at Elegant Nails really worked on my issues. I just had a pedicure and it was absolutely amazing work. She is solo in her shop and is open by appointment only. If you leave her a message she will call back immediately. You are not going get the bells and whistles of other shops but you will get quality work and great care.

I got a perm done by Nelly! She took great care of me and walked me through the whole process of what it is like to have permed hair. She was very knowledgeable in how to properly care for it and she gave me all the tips I needed to know! Nelly gave my hair layers and a trim then we proceeded to get the perm done. It came out great and it looks very close to the reference photos I showed her! I would most definitely recommend ⭐️

She is a skin master and spa magician with all the best tools, techniques, and technology in her bag! She is so knowledgeable and I have done every treatment with her from monthly facials, to deep peels, to slimming infrared sudatonic body wraps! Her space is so warm and intimate. Her energy is calm and honest. I would pick a spa day at Vita's Studio over any Treatment you would find in SF or Sonoma! Vita is in demand so prepare to book a few weeks/months in advance. While attempting to modify my irrigation system, I ended up breaking the heavily corroded old galvanized line to my house. I was able to patch it but needed a professional fix quickly. Angel from Big Brothers plumbing came out the very next morning, provided me a reasonable estimate, and started the work that same day. And when it turned out they didn’t need to replace some of the pipe that had been earmarked for replacement, Angel was honest about it and saved me a couple thousand dollars. That kind of integrity you don’t see often. They finished the job in few hours and did great work. Shout out to Luis and Ruben as well. Highly recommend these guys, they are great people!

They steam clean all my home, making it feel super clean and safe. They are very reliable and always on time. They provided me with my own towels, they always use gloves, shoe covers and masks. This was my first time remodeling my condo (or any property) and I couldn't be happier with my experience with Isaam Construction. They were thorough, skilled, and had a big emphasis on quality and communication that I really appreciated.
Abraham was my onsite manager and he was... actually onsite! He was very kind about answering all my questions and providing recommendations where needed. He was very patient when I needed time to figure things out, and honest when things needed change. He'd often FaceTime me to excitedly show progress updates and when he had questions or ideas.
I'm often anxious about doing home updates and tend to go the DIY route. Javier, the team's tile expert, really convinced me that sometimes a professional is just better. I had my bathroom remodeled and I still smile at how well the tile is laid EVERY TIME I SHOWER. I definitely can't say the same about all the personal projects I've tiled in the past.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable process and I would absolutely hire them again!

ReviewThis review has been long overdue! Our house project started just before COVID and involved pretty much remodeling our entire house on the inside. Little did we know that because of COVID, our project would take longer than expected. Despite all the COVID delays, we loved the final results. I would say as far our experience with P.K. Remodeling, Piotr is probably one of the most genuine, reasonable, honest contractors out there. His team were good guys too. He was very chill, easy to work with, took care of everything behind the scenes with the city, and surprisingly reachable. We had a leak from the outside due from the rain and siding (unrelated to the inside project) and called him late at night when we got home from a vacation to notice there water seeping through the wall prior to him installing the floors. He actually replied and had his guys look at it immediately the next day and fixed our leak. When there were issues, as there always inevitably is some with home remodeling, he worked with us to pivot with new creative ideas/solutions. Although my husband and I are fairly picky in our design choices, he was honest in what he felt would look good for our home, so there was some healthy debate in certain situations. Piotr was adamant that we have lights under our waterfall kitchen counter. We were hesitant at first, but he was right, and now it's one of the favorite characteristics of our kitchen. One time, he happened to be at the same tile store as we were. We were having some trouble deciding on trim borders, he kindly joined us in conversation with the designer, but was gently insistent that the white trim edge liners looked much better than the metal that was considered. Again, he was right. All in all, this process was not without its challenges and stress, but it made it so much easier just to work with an all around good human!
My family and I have been going to Dr. Dughman for a few years now, and we have always had a great experience. The entire staff is very skilled, and their approach is appropriate both for my daughter’s age and for me, since I’ve always been terrified of the dentist!!!
In fact, I’ve always struggled even with a regular teeth cleaning, and Dr. Polly is incredibly gentle and attentive, I really appreciate that.

Dr. Reyes' technique combines electric stimulation with massage gun as needed, before making the hands-on adjustment. I noticed results within a few visits, with lingering improvements to my wrist & shoulders. His relaxed, personable manner doesn't hurt either!
Dr. Pieda and Emily are a great team. Emily will usually get you situated for the Doctor and Dr. Pieda takes care of the adjustment. He is good at determining what needs help and working on the issue.

I have been going to chiropractor’s for over two decades for my scoliosis and strenuous physical work activity and I have never come across such a thorough experience as I have with Catherine from Vitalogy Chiropractic, I am always greeted with warm and positive energy and asked thorough, thoughtful questions pertaining to my physical state. Not only does she integrate Massage but I love her moving table that stretches you out as well as a tens machine she offers. I went to visit Dr. Miller after I hurt my shoulder/upper back. His assessment was thorough and we even got to assess my lower back pain that I’ve ignored the past 8 or so years. Just days after my first adjustment my shoulder/back pain was so much better! He even gave me tips on managing my lower back pain in between my adjustments which have been really helpful!
Started as her student, stayed as her patient. If you are looking for rack & crack chiropractic, this is not the place for you. Dr. Lau takes her time and methodically analyzes the body to such a degree you would think she doesn't do anything else with her time, and smiles while doing it. My favorite part. The whole office is an experience from reception to end, and if you're looking for a Doctor that truly puts patient first... this IS the place for you.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Dufour for about a month now and it’s been such a good experience so far. I sit for about 12 hours a day for work, which has really messed with my back, shoulders and overall tightness.
He actually takes the time to figure out what’s going on instead of just doing a quick adjustment and sending you on your way. We’ve been working on a plan using the spinal decompression machine along with myofascial massage.
The decompression has helped take some pressure off, and the massage work has been great for loosening up really tight areas from all the sitting. I feel like we’re actually working toward long-term results.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for someone who really pays attention and creates a plan that works for you.
My first visit to Dr. Basco's clinic was 2011 when I was looking for a chiropractor for my neck adjustment that cause tingling and pain in my fingers. The machine decompression is very helpful to align my whole spine. I feel a little taller every time my spine was stretched. I also
brought my two kids for spine adjustment. Love the frontal water view of the clinic and lots of parking space. Dr. Basco is kind and attentive to the patients need.

Went for a 90 min massage then Red light therapy. As cliche as it may sound…. I feel like a new man! I threw my back out almost three weeks ago and just NEEDED a massage. Bobbie is the best! I love her! The Red Light Therapy afterwards was super cool….or should I say WARM. It’s great. It’s like a warm bath after a full body massage. Can’t wait for my new session….

We were so happy and pleasantly surprised with this amazing Veterinarian. Our vet told us that there was nothing more he could do for our 16-year-old Havanese. The pleasant experience we had and the herbs that they prescribed that were specific to our dogs needs give us hope that we can keep our little one healthier and happier until the end of his life Ashley was incredible. She was able to determine what Oscar needed with ease. The care was thorough and detailed. Although this vet Is an hour from our home, we will definitely use them again.

I have been dealing with knee pain for two years! My doctor told me it was beginning arthritis. My pain recently became so bad that I could not find a comfortable position to sleep at night. Mr Felix Diaz was recommended to me by a dear friend. Thank God. I have been in a level 4-5 pain every day for months. With his expert level intake Felix was able to pin point the cause of the pain. I feel amazing. Magical. I wanted to skip, hop and run after my service! I didn't, I promised to take it easy and continue stretching at home. I can put my shoes on without pain. I could sit and stand without pain. Literal tears of joy. I can't recommend Medical Masaje enough. So grateful.

We booked a day with two massage therapists with Sowa/Kneon Wellness to treat our teachers and staff during Educator Appreciation Week. They were very helpful and patient with me as we had a lot of logistics to work out. I also found their rates to be very reasonable. Day of the massages, the therapists both arrived on time to set up. Both were very friendly and gave amazing chair massages. They made many teachers happy that day. It was a big hit! I know that if/when we book massages for our teachers again, we will be using Kneon Wellness.
I always say Alison is a magical creature. Her knowledge is vast and her hands are strong. When I’m on her table, I feel safe and comfortable and I know that healing is happening.
John's treatment to help with my bulging discs and sciatic nerve pain has been the best therapy I have received. His knowledge of the body has taken the results past what I expected was possible, touching on other issues I've long accepted as normal and increased my range of motion tremendously. I feel very lucky to have found him and his approach to body work.
Kristin is an incredible masseuse! Every time I go in for a massage I leave feeling like I have new arms and legs. Before the session starts, she listens to understand your problem areas, and then focuses her massage time working through them. Highly recommend!

Jessica is a true healer. I had been suffering with vertigo for 6 weeks. Usually my acupuncturist fixes me up straight away but after a month of twice weekly appointments, it was still hanging on. I tried Jessica after reading up on lymphatic drainage massage. She not only did that but also incorporated craniosacral & sounds vibrational healing. I was incoherent & out of it after the session. Jessica took care of me afterwards while waiting for my husband to pick me up. Once home, I slept for 2 hours. When I woke up, it was the first time in 6 weeks I felt normal! My vertigo was gone, fogginess lifted and I felt completely balanced. My husband & I were amazed. If you’ve ever had vertigo, you know it can be debilitating (it was for me) so to experience feeling normal again was incredible. My experience with Jessica was life altering. I cannot recommend her enough. She is exceptional.
Erin is a miracle worker. Her hands are fantastic. This is a clean and classy joint. Everything here is immaculate and Erin's service is flawless. I have issues with my shoulders and Erin was able to get in there and make me feel fantastic. What a relief. She has the ability to surgically adjust pressure and MD-level knowledge of anatomy. The going rate here is about $145/hour, which is cheap for a top-notch massage therapist.
I have rarely met anyone who is as good at anything as Joan is at massage therapy. Seriously, she is incredible. I've been going to her for a few years, and she has really helped me with some chronic pain issues.
I went in with a few muscle aches. I left feeling amazing and extremely relaxed. I tried a two hour massage for the first time (didn't know that was even available). I don't think I'll ever go back to a one hour or even one and a half hour massage. Wow. What a difference that extra half hour made. I got checked in and taken to my room very quickly. Then Shelly worked wonders, while respecting the parameters I put down on my check-in form and also occasionally checking in with me during the massage to make sure I was okay with what she was doing. I'll be back.

I found Miss Kim after covid and I'm so lucky I did . I originally came in for nerve pain caused by a Injury that I was having numbness and pain up my arm into my neck . She helped me tremendously with improving my pain that nothing else would help . She also helped with my allergy symptoms! After some time now I recently went back due to a back injury that caused nerve pain down my legs .I wasn't able to walk very well and in extreypain making it hard to do anything .In a world we're you can't get in to see a doctor for weeks to get any relief other then rx she has helped me so so much with this slow recovery over the past month and a half . Along with vaula le information we discuss during intake . She looks at you as a whole person what stressors , traumas , job etc that could be effecting you to help treat you accordingly. Worry not if you don't know the injury locations she will help you figure it out . She is one my favorite providers I've ever had the pleasure of seeing she is extremely Patience , thoughtful and educated. You won't regret it if you come see her . I started seeing Dr. Jenny Nieters in June 2024 and she has helped me tremendously. I was a soccer goalkeeper at the University of Southern California and she has seen me through multiple injuries. For about a year, I struggled to understand what was going on with my adductors. Without relying on any scans/imaging—and based solely on working on me over a period of time—Dr. Nieters suspected that my adductors weren't fully attached. She recommended that I travel to Philadelphia to visit Vincera Institute, a specialized core clinic, for further imaging.
Through that process, I learned that both my adductors and my rectus abdominis were not fully attached, and that I would need a combined hip and core surgery. If it weren't for Dr. Nieters, I would have only undergone hip surgery and would not have discovered the full extent of my physical situation for a long time.
I had surgery in September 2025 and am currently working hard at rehab. Thanks to Dr. Nieters, I now have a real chance to get back on the field. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also one of the kindest, and most genuinely caring people I've ever met. She has a true gift for what she does. I always leave our sessions feeling better—not just physically, but mentally as well. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to see her!!

She has helped me to heal a multitude of ailments quickly. That's why I keep coming back and referring her to all of my friends! I had an injury on my left foot that was making running or even walking fast difficult. Also I had chronic injuries/pains resulting from training for long-distance triathlons (Ironman; an 140.6 miles race) on my right shoulder and the right side of my back. Tina’s treatment has been amazing! To the point that she has earned a nickname in my household - “the Magician with Needles”!Details of my condition: (1) Injury: something dropped on my left foot. As it happened right after my Ironman World Championship race, I did not care - I was not doing much of my training. I thought that the pain would disappear by itself. Then months passed, and the pain persisted. Moreover, I realized that the NERVES on my left foot are a LITTLE NUMB. So, when I tried to run a higher mileage at my tempo pace, my left foot was less responsive after a 6-7 miles. Also, TAKING STEPS the following few days were quite difficult.(2) Chronic pain: I almost entirely breathe on one side while swimming, especially if I am doing long difficult sessions. Also, when I am holding the aero position on my time-trial bike, I inadvertently tighten one side of my upper body - this becomes especially true if I am doing hard intervals and/or doing >2-3 hours of training. Consequence: chronic dull pain on my shoulder and my back. This results in debilitating pain during later phases of a race. This was seriously hampering my sleep after long rides (which is bread-and-butter for Ironman trainings).Treatment: I had gone through extensive acupuncture treatments before the pandemic for chronic pains - thanks to my health insurance! They worked, but the results were not even close to Tina’s treatments. I went to Tina, in the beginning of Dec, 2022. After three sessions, my foot injury was completely solved! In fact, after the very first session, I was incredulous with the results! The same goes for the chronic pain on my shoulder - that I have been living with for several years now. That too was gone! I was very confident that as I start doing “red mist swim sessions” in new years, the shoulder pain would come back - it kind of did, but only to 10-20% intensity compared to what it used to be. And that was relieved after one session with Tina in Jan, 2023. Now, she has started working on the chronic pain on my right lower back - and I am experiencing her magic already.In summary, my condition was a sudden injury and one from muscle overuses from sports. Tina’s acupuncture treatment resolved both issues unbelievably well (better than physios and sports massages).
I highly recommend Heavenly Stems Acupuncture. Melissa, the owner, is a very knowledgeable and caring acupuncturist. First, she asked me thorough questions to get a deep understanding of what my ailments were and what I needed. During the treatment, she explained each step that she was taking and made sure I was ok with it. This put me at ease and made me feel safe. I appreciated how she asked me first if she could twist the needles a bit to pull the qi (energy) before doing it. She said there could be a pulling sensation. I agreed to it so there were no surprises. Even though I could feel the twists, she was very gentle. In community clinics that I had gone to before, the needles hurt sometimes, but this didn't hurt at all. It was quite relaxing and she gave me a choice of being in the quiet or listening to music. I came out of it quite relaxed, but I definitely felt it was working.
Melissa deeply cares about her work. She's a very dedicated and skilled acupuncturist. She accepts some insurance and there is free parking in the back. I would recommend her to everyone I know.
I was in bad shape with a chronic neck problem and I called Dr Lam's office. He said I could come right away. He performed Acupuncture magic on me and that night was the first night I was able to sleep in a week! Highly Recommended.
Jane is the best and really good at what she does. I've been having neck and fertility issues and she was able to address it all. I've been to several acupuncturists and she is the real deal.
I have had a great ongoing experience with Annsheng Chinese Medicine. From the dr. To the assistants; everyone is personable and friendly. The quality of service is by far some of the best I have received. I do have a certification from Berkely Acupressure Institute; which even though it doesn't allow me to work with needles, it does give me a background in the premise of Acupuncture. I can say in all honesty, that my sessions have been great. I would recommend the Dr. and her assistants as the place to go if you are seeking healthy solutions for Chinese medicine.
