Diamond is a life saver. A couple weeks back, I was in desperate need of a cut for an engagement photoshoot. Diamond was able to fit me into into his schedule the day I had walked-in, and I couldn't be more grateful. I've gone straight to him ever since. Diamond is an excellent barber. He has a wealth of knowledge and will make sure to listen to your needs. Incredible attention to detail. If you ask, he will gladly walk you through his process and share some useful styling tips. I followed Kat from her previous salon as she is the best with color and hiding greys. She really can make color look natural which is appreciated. She also does a great long hair cut, never trimming too much. Great conversation, clean environment and good music choices. The decor of Charm School is super cute and unique, highly recommend!

Our company has maintained offices in SPACES locations in New York and San Francisco for a while. We decided to start using new locations in the SPACES network for our company meetings and used Emeryville for the first time this month. We are so impressed with the location, cleanliness, staff, and the views! Marty Kelly is a master of photographing textiles and objects. He has documented my artwork for many years and achieves the most accurate reproduction of the subtle qualities and textures in my weavings. It is very difficult to capture and I am always so impressed with his results.
Nanci Is so accommodating and so great to work with! She did a fabulous job lowlighting my wig, and I was thrilled with the results! I feel like a new and improved me ;) I highly recommend Nanci as she is extremely skilled in hair artistry and so personable, she has such great energy.
This was my first visit to Target Optical. It was by far the best, most thorough eye exam by Dr. Kimberly Chia, and I have had quite a few eye exams in my life. She is the first person who actually asked me to sit at her desk and use her laptop to show her how I use my laptop, so that she could more precisely determine the distance for my computer glasses. Every other place I have been to just had a fixed number of inches they use for computer glasses, and another fixed number for reading glasses, regardless of your size or reading/computer working habits. I must also add, the associates at the optical department are super friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Overall, very positive experience.
I have been going to Edwin for the last 2 years and I always LOVE my results. He always knows the look I am going for and executes perfectly. I go to him every 6 months and the grow out still looks good! My before is also a 6 month grow out from my previous haircut from him. I find that it's very hard to find a stylist that can cut front bangs really well that still compliment's a person's face. He can take someone's hair inspo and adjust it accordingly to flatter someone's unique face/features (because let's face it, just because someone wants a haircut a certain way, doesn't mean it will look as good on them as the person in the photo). He's honest, funny, and I love our bi-annual catch up. I cannot recommend Edwin enough if you are looking for a new hairstylist in the Bay. A full service will cost you $100 + tip but he's worth every penny. :)
After my first craniosacral session, a deep and tight knot in my back left shoulder area that had been there for over 6 years was gone and hasn’t returned. One of the first words I used to describe how I felt was “fluid” in my chest, neck, and upper back areas which is really accurate to how her sessions seemed to release/move energy around in my body. It has been so much easier and interesting seeing my body respond to Amanda’s work than getting numerous massages, chiropractic sessions, and taking classes to alleviate the same issues. I’m so glad I decided to continue seeing Amanda in her 6-session program and beyond because the work she’s done has been really incredible. Her remote sessions have been just as effective as in person. I wouldn’t hesitate for anyone to see Amanda even if you aren’t experiencing pain but seek overall better health and well-being. I’m open if anyone wants to reach out with questions about my experience.

I've called them three times in the past two years and someone has always picked up my call. They are here in a snap and have shown up at the agreed time all three times. Their prices are reasonable and I don't worry about being taken for a ride. Maybe they treat me extra nice because they've got the HOA contract at my place but I prefer to think the reason we gave it to them is for their excellent service.
I heard about Greg and Fix It Now Computers on NextDoor and tried him a while back for a problem on my office computer with good results. This time the problem was my kitchen computer: The screen would scroll all the way to the bottom, very quickly. I couldn't stop it. Then I couldn't get it to scroll back up to where I wanted to view it.I explained that when I called Greg and he asked if I had changed my mouse battery, saying I should try that and call him back if that didn't work. I tried that and it didn't work. I tested the battery and it was only slightly down.Then it occurred to me that I had a new mouse for my office computer sitting on my desk, still in the package. I retrieved that and tried it. The problem immediately disappeared!Yeay Greg! And he didn't even get paid! I called him and thanked him profusely and logged on to Yelp...
Oh, man. These guys are GREAT. From start to finish - they show up on time (like, to the minute), communicate often and well, and then do just PHENOMENAL work. Like it's their own home and they want to be proud of it. Baywood handled a small kitchen refresh - from demo to all new, and I couldn't be happier with the work. It went pretty much to plan...as much as any construction job can be. They were flexible with evolving design decisions, dealt with delays (a dinged cabinet) like pros, and were just awesome in every aspect. Robert runs a tight ship, and Nery, the foreman, was super clear and responsive, asking for my input for every little detail and then making sure it was all executed to the highest level. Like seasoned craftspeople, they had great solutions to problems, did incredible work every step of the way, and were just awesome folks.
I am not tech “saavy” but was asked to call someone to come out and see if they could install a better (faster) network. Ours kept going down for one reason or another. I called the people at Techs On Call and a few other companies. They were quick to respond and found some outdated equipment along with some misconfigured stuff. Now we are fast! Thanks!!
Working with the ODS team of Alan, Philip, Dmitry, Carina and Toune made a potentially overwhelming process smooth and manageable - which led to a once in a lifetime, fantastic result. We love the home they designed. After helping with contractor selection, they provided high quality of service, thoughtful architectural and interior design advice, and a very high quality of build home.We did a whole house renovation, using both ODS’s architectural and interior design teams. Our house needed a lot of help on the inside and outside. The process started with giving the architects a “wish list” of what we were looking for, and with that they gave us two plans to look at. It was eye-opening to see the conceptual drawings. From there we selected a base plan that evolved as part of the design and build process. Working within our budget, ODS “value engineered” a design that gave us the look and feel we wanted while bringing down the building cost. As a result of collaborative work among ODS, our GC and us, in the end the final design and product was even better than the original concept design that we started with.What could have been better? Not much. Designing in built-in window treatments and working with ODS earlier in the process was probably one aspect that might have worked more smoothly if we went back and did it again. As an overall matter, we would not hesitate to recommend the ODS team. We absolutely love our house and nearly one year later, still remark almost daily on some aspect or design that reminds us of what a great house they were able to build.

Excellent customer service. Mohamed is a friendly guy and there were no problems. He isn't one of those mobile notaries so you have to go to his place but then you don't have to pay another $50-75 for a travel fee. As advertised. I would recommend him.

Roman was quick and efficient and did a fantastic job replacing a cracked screen for my iPhone SE2. Friendly and easy-going. The website is a little confusing because there is no mention that the Emeryville location is temporarily closed due to bay st. construction, but it was very easy to show up at the Piedmont location the next day without an appointment.

A charming​ shop in Emeryville, came highly recommended and worth every cent to drive an hour from my place for the hair cut. I had a hair cut, and my mom had a ​hair cut/color. I told Matin what I wanted and she helped me to find what I was looking for! My mother got her hair cut fixed and her color turned the perfect shade. Matin is a lovely lady and going to her shop feels like going over her place to sit down and have a lovely chat as a bonus! She took her time with us, and we felt great about our decision to go to her. Comparing to chain stores, she offers much more affordable pricing and much more individualized attention! I would drive to her again next time!

I've been using Doris for 10+ years for some pretty complicated taxes. Domestic Partnership stuff before federal and state were aligned, a combo of art jobs / day jobs with pretty unique challenges, multiple income streams, inheritance issues - we've been through it all - and always she is super responsive, unflappable, and amazing at making sure we get the most back on our taxes. HIGHLY recommend.
As an NHI emeryville Alumni, I still think about my experience there and am glad I chose to attend their core program. It has been a few years since graduating (June ‘19) and I can’t say enough of how amazing the mentors are.Frankie has made a great impression on me and I will say that if it weren’t for being given a second chance to start over with a new group (group 16), I wouldn’t have finished the program. I hope Frankie is still teaching and that his students know how lucky they are to have him as their main mentor!I enjoyed learning in class, especially because of being in a group setting where you really had to work closely with almost everyone, as well as, a mix of days where we just focus on the business or health aspects in the field.I love the culture, it is a very warm and welcoming environment. The core program enables you to have many tools to use in your growing career as a massage therapist. I must add that since I have been practicing massage out of the state of CA and currently in Idaho, the eastern segment truly sets me apart from others who have not had training in this area.My advice to new or prospective students is to take advantage of every opportunity to learn, practice, and hone your skills - it is very much on how you use your time, resources, and education to its fullest! I wish I had been more present during my time, however, massage is an ever changing and a creative career. There are always opportunities to improve and add more to your craft!If I were still living in the Bay Area, it wouldn’t surprise me if I had decided to return to NHI as an aide or perhaps become a mentor myself. Thank you NHI for helping me find work I love! I definitely do not regret choosing NHI over McKinnon and Carrington.
This is my favorite LA center! The reception staff are extremely friendly and easy to schedule with.The nurses do a great job, and I've had better results in a couple of months coming here compared to twice as many sessions at another location.Jayla and Sarah are the best here! They always do a very thorough job and make it a painless process!They're generally on-time and cancellations are rare here.My only complaint is the parking situation here isn't great but that's not their fault.

Absoloutely love the service that we received from Wayne and his team. High level communication from the get go and all the way through completion of our foam roof installation. In addition they referred us to a solar company High Def and that company carried the same level of professionalism as Armstrong. Very impressed with Armstrong excellent product and better people.
Pretty blown away. I came in with a dress shirt that had farm dust and sweat caked into the collar – been sitting like that for 5 years. They warned me that they couldn't guarantee being able to get it out, but damned if I don't have a brand new looking shirt. Not a spot. Friendly service with a two-three day turn.
