But to my surprise, it has a very pleasant atmosphere without any loud obnoxious activity and the equipment is well maintained. There seems to be no loud music at all which is great. It also is very clean, which matters a lot when it comes to joining a gym. The parking lot is very safe and clean, which is very pleasing so I don’t have to worry about any theft or break-ins. Overall it is a very nice and safe gym. I give huge appreciation to the owner and the manager for Making this gym very welcoming and pleasant for everyone.
I just hope it continues to stay this way.“

610 Hegenberger Rd, Oakland“I’m going to be honest, I love this gym and they all been anything but cool towards me they have treated me well even when I’ve changed me bank account card and the new one hadn’t been registered as a new payment method they would still let me go in, but today my friend who has been training and she loves this gym she had requested a new bank account and didn’t set it up as a new payment method there was this security who gave her a hard today at 4:45am in the morning maybe there was a language barrier but I decided to step in and asked him if he would let her go in and once she was done she would done it and he refused to let go in why did not he let her in and behind her was another dude that was allowed in within checking in and my friend who’s a regular member wasn’t allowed in! There was another guy but he’s new working there it was understandable!“

“I was a client of Powerform for about 8 months and couldn't be happier with my experience! The facilities are clean, and the supportive atmosphere kept me motivated while I was in the midst of a workout rut. Each session was designed to target relevant muscle groups while incorporating proper form and technique, which was crucial for my progress and reduced risk for injury. With access to a variety of strength training equipment and expertise from the coaches, I was able to significantly improve my upper body strength. I achieved my goals of increasing my bench press and completing a pull-up — something I once thought was out of reach!

10715 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland“I work shifts from 10am - 10pm 6 days a week and I would gym around 12am or later due to my work schedule. The gym is always clean and the staff are respectful as well. I just haven’t been able to gym at this specific location in a few weeks due to the hours always changing around and already being closed when I arrive. I just wish it stayed 24hours. Other than that great people and very clean and organized.“

Abu is great for people of every fitness level, and taught me a lot about proper form and how to get the most out of my workouts. He will push you to get stronger, and even had some good tips on proper diet that I found to be helpful. I would highly recommend Abu to anyone, especially to those at the beginning of their fitness journeys.“

After hearing about my struggle with back pain when lifting he offered to give me tips on my form and did an incredible stretch session that honestly left me feeling 2 inches taller! I got to meet the manager in Body Mechanix too and they were both so friendly and professional. Thanks for the kindness to someone who isn't even a member (yet) Tarrell. He's the real deal, highly recommend the staff there.“

420 14th St, Oakland“Calling Alison a fitness instructor or personal trainer isn't doing her justice. She's more like a fitness guru. Her scope of knowledge is vast and deep, encompassing an expertise in many training methods, injury rehab, and nutrition. She will take the time to fully understand where you are in your fitness narrative and figure out how to help you meet your goals. Even her group classes really accommodate the needs and levels of each individual. I've taken HIIT classes and large group pilates classes elsewhere and the quality of her instruction is on a completely different level. Before working with Alison, I had been feeling held back by injuries that were brought on by age and an imbalanced training routine. Working with her has helped me overcome that and feel empowered. She has a wonderful combination of being practical, challenging, and compassionate. She does a great job of cultivating community and connection in her group classes, which makes for a truly fun and motivating atmosphere. She's also a genuinely caring person who works hard to build up not just the people around her but Oakland as a whole.“

In doing so, has cut down on my fairly regular pain and fatigue sitting all day as well as safely pursuing my new fitness hobbies. He noticed things that I never even mentioned, but knew felt “off.” I never thought I’d work out with a trainer, and only did so at the recommendation of my boyfriend who also saw him. Jonathan is kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He is not a stereotypical bro that I admittedly feared.“

Jordan is thoughtful, creative and embodies the perfect balance between being both your cheerleader and a coach that encourages you to challenge yourself. This past year specifically, Jordan has helped me prepare for three half marathons while staying injury-free and improving my pace/mile. If you've never lifted heavy weights before and or think that you're not a 'gym person' (I fell into both of those categories initially), Jordan is the trainer for you. He's the best and I'm so happy that our paths crossed.“

The teachers are fantastic; the space is gorgeous; and most importantly after every class I feel euphoric, strong, and, dare I say, filled with bliss.“
