When I moved to Oakland, I gave up that convenient access of having drycleaners on my block with a very short delivery path (those plastic covers sure do make it awkward!).

At the time when I moved to my neighborhood in OAK, it was fine: I wasn't going to fancy IRL things, so my drycleaning needs were low. Then, gradually, I started having the need for my dresses to be properly pressed and cleaned when the social obligations increased. I used a closer place, but was just so ... *miffed* by the experience.

Let me be clear: I am the absolute worst person you want to iron your shirts. Please contact my partner to confirm this :-D. This is why I need these professional services. Professionals have my utmost respect.

Long story short: This is my new favorite drycleaning spot. There's another one closer to me, but I always feel like I'm being a hassle when I walk in. I'd rather go to a place where I feel welcomed, and the old-school vibes totally help with the perception.

A bit of weirdness for your first visit: there is another counter in front of the counter. This is the actual counter where you can drop off your clothes. It weirded me out the first time, and I still don't really get it. *shrug emoji*
