Emily Noe Physical Therapy Physical Therapy

“Emily is super helpful with my finger symptoms. She was able to help me diagnose the exact cause of the issue and set up a rehab plan. I visited her 3 times in total, and each time she was able to provide specific changes to the rehab plan based on my recovery progress. Overall, I would highly recommend her if you are a climber and looking to rehab your seemingly mysterious injury.“

Level Up Wellness and Physical Therapy Physical Therapy

“I had bilateral mastectomy with DIEP and DCIA flap reconstruction, and finding the right post-op physical therapist made an enormous difference in my recovery. I want to be candid about my path here because I think it’ll help other patients in the same position.

My plastic surgeon recommended Level Up PT specifically, but they're private and out-of-network, so I initially tried to find someone in-network instead. I found a physical therapist who said they had experience with this surgery, but my recovery was treated like a standard sports injury rehab. The specifics of flap reconstruction — protecting the flaps, the staged nature of recovery, the abdominal core involvement from the flap harvest — weren’t part of the plan. I wasn’t progressing, and I was genuinely worried about hurting myself.

I switched to Dr. Hilary at Level Up and paid out of pocket. The difference was immediate. She understood every detail of this surgery and exactly what each stage of healing required. I finally felt like someone understood what my body had actually been through, and I was able to safely return to full function, including a physically demanding job. She also did extensive manual work on my scar tissue - something that in network providers don’t have time to do.

I know it’s hard to justify an out-of-pocket expense on top of everything else breast cancer already costs. But if you’ve had a double mastectomy, and especially if you’ve had flap reconstruction, this is the kind of specialized expertise that genuinely changes your outcome. I don’t think I’d be back to work without her. Worth every penny.“

Synapse Massage & Bodywork Physical Therapy

“Massage was great. Ezra has a great intuitive touch and Im definitely interested in coming back, but next time I would love more work around the Psoas and a little belly work to bring the whole body together in the session, but overall pretty good. (I'm a massage therapist of 20 plus years myself so I definitely have my preferences and I know you can't do EVERYTHING every time!). One really important piece of feedback I have however, is that All therapists working here should have intake and consent forms to receive bodywork. I was surprised that they didn't have one. (For legal liability/protection)“

“I am very thankful to the advice I received from Jessica on a persistent knee issue that kept me from high intensity workouts. Jessica diagnosed the issue correctly and designed a treatment that helped me make real improvement. She is very disciplined in her approach, doesn’t cut corners, and is a great person too. Also, it was a real pleasure working with the front desk team. They are super nice and helpful. Thank you!“

Reboot Float & Cryo Spa Physical Therapy

“I've been to the other locations in the Bay several times, but recently having moved to Oakland, I finally got to visit the Rockridge location.
The staff was incredibly nice and attentive and my room was ready as soon as I got there.
The facility was quiet and clean and my session was nothing short of refreshing. It's something that I always look forward to for a good reset.
They never rush you or hurry you up which I appreciate because sometimes it take me a little while longer before and after my floats to get in and out. The vanity area is in the middle of the facilities which is different from what I'm used to but I had to trouble finding it or getting what I needed.
I recommend and will be back!“

Sirena Masket CranioSacral Therapy Physical Therapy

“Sirena is truly wonderful—let me start there! I've been seeing her for about five years, originally after being referred for complementary care alongside my Neurofeedback Therapy (which I also recommend). During that time, she provided the perfect support. Sirena has an incredibly calming, caring, and grounding energy. Whenever I suffer from severe tension headaches, often made worse by sitting at a desk all day, she's my first choice. While massage therapy gave me some relief, it just wasn't enough—so I went to Sirena. I'd arrive with a headache and leave completely pain-free! Her gentle techniques really are remarkable. I might not fully understand how they work, but they certainly do. I've even seen her for digestive issues, which improved after our sessions. If you want to treat yourself with self-love and kindness, schedule a visit with Sirena.“

“Maggie's fascial stretch therapy has been a deeply healing experience for me. I came with several chronic aches in my rotator cuff, hip flexors, and after just a few treatments, these aches are now gone. I'm now a regular monthly recipient of Maggie's magical touch as preventive maintenance, and in place of a regular massage which feels great but doesn't heal in the same way as fascial stretch does for me. Also Maggie is a warm, calming, and empathetic presence. I'm a fan.“

Back to Life Physical Therapy

“Amy and Iris are the two PT's that I've seen at Back to Life Physical Therapy; they both are very knowledgable, and thorough in their explanations and guidance. In addition to their abundant knowledge in the specific area of pelvic floor, the extra care and time they put in to really listen, understand and then instruct me have been what distinguishes them in the field of physical therapists. I have improved since starting to work with them (a year ago). The office is kept clean and neat, and is full of natural wood, natural light, and includes a library of pertinent material. Colleena, the receptionist/office manager, is a wonderful and personable and efficient part of the team. I highly recommend this practice.“

“I cannot express how amazing my experience with Moon has been: I've been going to her for visceral manipulation following a myomectomy surgery, in which over 2lbs of fibroids were removed from my uterus, and subsequent complications from the surgery that affected my intestines, stomach, and my whole digestive system. After my surgery everything in my abdomen and digestive tract felt off--sharp and "crunchy" is the best way I can describe it. Definitely not how you want your abdomen to feel. After several sessions with Moon over a few months my body feels softer and smoother, I have less discomfort after eating, and I my abdomen feels right again. I wasn't sure what to expect from visceral manipulation but I'm now a true believer. In addition to being a skilled and knowledgeable masseuse Moon is a truly lovely and caring person. She will take good care of you and your body.“

BeWell Chiropractic Clinic - Oakland Physical Therapy

“Let me start by saying how friendly the receptionist was in the beginning. She greeted me by my first name as I walked in the door, as if she was expecting me. She explained all of my options clearly and what to expect as I never went to a chiropractor before. Dr. Won Yoo was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly how to pin point my injury and quickly diagnosed my issue as he examined my body. Dr. Yoo confidently adjusted and aligned my body with so much precision, making me feel comfortable and safe the entire time. Dr. Yoo explained clearly what stretches I need to do in order to help my issue. Once I walked out of the office, I felt so loose and wish I visited this office sooner. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Won Yoo, you will be very satisfied.“

Anjoe Physical Therapy & Wellness Physical Therapy

“On the very strong recommendation of another PT who had moved out of the area, I went to see Steve Ryan for reverse total shoulder replacement post-op physical therapy. Steve is simply the best, most knowledgeable, competent, straightforward, compassionate, patient and organized physical therapist I have ever worked with. The written instructions and (excellent) videos for the prescribed PT exercises are available the day of or 1 day after your appointment. He is very organized and prompt so appointments are always on time. I am 79 years old and very active for my age. Steve guided me through a major glitch in my surgical recovery and I am now fully back to all my physical activities. I'm sure I couldn't have done this without his professional mentorship. Strongly and without hesitation thank and recommend Dr. Stephen Ryan for physical therapy.“

“I can't thank Diane enough for the incredible craniosacral therapy session. After experiencing a recent traumatic attack, my body was holding onto so much tension and distress. Diane worked her magic with such care, skill, and deep intuition—I could feel my body finally starting to release and process what it had been through. Her presence is grounding, her technique is gentle yet powerful, and I left feeling lighter, calmer, and more in tune with myself. If you're seeking true healing, I highly recommend her. Thank you, Diane!“

“My experience with Dr Pak and Kim was amazing. I have been to many various acupuncturists but this was one of the best by far! They were meticulous and keen to get to know me with a very thorough initial intake and then took great care to make sure I was comfortable during the treatment. I loved the heat lamps and was so impressed that Dr Pak even took the trouble to show me a good sleeping posture and good stretches for my wrists!! I am feeling so rejuvenated after just one session and will definitely be back!! Highly recommend!!“
