Aida is a very warm and welcoming person. Probably the best deep tissue work I ever had. She slowed down with areas that were particularly tense, which was great for my body. It was my first professional Thai massage, and it left me wanting more! I felt a lot of long overdue fascial release from her work. She's a natural with listening to the body's needs. Very intuitive and professional. I came out of the session feel very balanced. I hope to come back in the near future!
I work night shifts and constantly deal with stiffness in my upper and mid-back, neck, and shoulders…sometimes it’s painful just to turn my head. Every massage I receive from Joyce makes a noticeable difference in my body: I feel lighter, more mobile, my posture improves, chest feels open as if a ton of weight has been lifted off my body. She has magic hands!
She works slowly and intentionally on every knot, restoring mobility and stretching where it’s needed, which really helps the results last.
Sometimes the deep tissue work can feel intense, but the relief afterward makes it absolutely worth it. I often say I feel like I’ve been ironed out like a wrinkled shirt and I always get my most restful sleep and wake up feeling pain free next day.
She also gives simple stretches to do at home, which really has helped me and seem to prolong the relaxation effects between sessions..
On top of that, I really appreciate her communication style. She encourages you to speak up and point out exactly where you need more attention, which is an uncommon thing to find in massage therapists. Leaving with your muscle tension unresolved never happens with her.
Her booking system is also easy and stress free, and she’s quick to respond if I need to join the waitlist.

Mahnoosh has been wonderful! She explains the process well, and adjusts as needed based on your comfort-level. Before you go, be sure to purchase skin (face) numbing cream on the targeted area 1 hour before treatment and then 15 minutes before treatment. Mahnoosh does not provide any cream but will put it on for you during the treatment.
I highly recommend Karen. I found her salon on Google. I was having a hair emergency. I reached out to Karen. She was professional, responded quickly, and I was able to fit me in a few days later. The salon is easy to find and has plenty of free street parking. Karen did a great job with the individual knotless braids I requested. And she works really fast!
I give Fazli my very highest recommendation. He cleaned three rugs for me and they came back looking beautiful. He's so knowledgeable, kind, and easy-to-work with. I scheduled a keratin treatment here with little forethought. It turned out great, and was much less expensive than the larger salons. The treatment was especially gentle, which I appreciated.
My experience with this particular Supercuts in Albany was quite good. I've been to a few on the east and west coasts and am happy to report the stylists here know what they're doing. I will definitely recommend them. A couple things to note: there is no dedicated parking lot or anything else, only surety parking. It's important to know because depending on the day and time you go, parking in this stretch of Solano Ave can be a real challenge. Also the women cutting hair are often the ones greeting guests and answering phone calls. It means you aren't always greeted upon entering or have your appointment verbally acknowledged. Nonetheless they do try very hard to keep track of who checked in and whose next. I look forward to seeing how my hair grows out and to going back for my next cut.

Lana did an amazing job on my pedicure and can handle ingrown toenails. Lily used her power box expertly to remove the gel, and went from side to side for my manicure so I didn't have to reach over and be uncomfortable. The salon is very quiet, clean, and they used sanitized tools.
I don't know why the whole world doesn't go here to get their nails done! Every person who works there is accomodating, lovely and gracious, they always do a perfect job, its sparkling clean, soothing soft music is played, and one can make an appointment. There is a new owner and she is just as wonderful as the previous owner, and nothing has changed. I highly recommend Naveana Nail Salon!
This guy is legitimately a good barber. He can’t do fancy fades or anything but those are overrated anyway and he’ll do a good job with the shape and layering. If you need a quick haircut, this is the place to go.

This is hands down my favorite nail salon in the east bay!! They take their time with their manicures and pedicures and give the best hand/foot & leg massages (which are included). Their work is so quality, and I never feel like I'm being rushed out because they are very good scheduling their clients. I truly feel pampered here. She took good care of my hair when it was long & made it beautiful, but last week I did a big change--cut off about 8-10 inches into a layered bob. I started going to Dr. J. Cortese about 30 years ago. He healed me from my dental trauma from my childhood dentist. I have crowns that he put in that are 25+ years old and in good shape. There was a number of years that I didnt see them due to changes in my life and I was never completely satified with the 3 different dentist that I went to. As a serious runner chasing the olympic marathon trial standard, I appreciated her experience working with endurance athletes competing at the highest levels, and her commitment to getting me back to full volume training. Dr. Prins is an amazing practitioner. I went to him after recovering from cervical disc replacement surgery. Also, I have double severed inoperable rotator cuffs. He has helped me get back to full function physically. I’ve seen half a dozen chiropractors. Charlie Prins is definitely the best. I highly recommend this practice.
I have been receiving sessions from Dr. Jill since the beginning of the year and it has been a great experience. I often walk in feeling tense and contracted in my body, mind and relationship to life, and after just 30 minutes on the table it’s a total 180 and I walk out totally different each time. I am studying two bodywork modalities myself and I have to say I am in awe of the clear skill, knowledge, magic, and mystery of this modality and how it so swiftly releases loads of survival energy from my system and softens me back into my being nature. I often have emotional releases on the table that are not tied to any story, which are so freeing and beautiful. I also find that Network is true to its ethos of teaching your body how to fish rather than just fishing for you —the kind of reorganizing and reordering motions and patterns that move through me during a session and bring such relief, have also naturally come forward in my body to reset me when I am lying in bed at home. So cool!

honestly i expected it to be one of those quick crack and pop places but it was way more thourough than i thought, they actually listened to where i was hurting and took thier time. the whole vibe was super chill and the guy explained everything as he went so i wasnt just laying there wondering what was gonna happen next. i left feeling so much better than when i walked in, my back hasnt felt this loose in weeks, def gonna go back again next month.

Taylor is so good at his craft that he's booked out 7 months. My wife and I have tried many different massage therapists over the years and are very thankful we found Taylor. He's truly the best. We both see him regularly for therapeutic bodywork -- he is incredibly strong, understands body mechanics and leverage, and knows how to find knots you never knew existed and really get in there. The fact that he's also funny, interesting, and can hold a conversation is a bonus!

I've seen Tank several times and will say that considering them simply an "acupuncturist" is a total undersell. They are a healer that's very passionate about the various modalities of Chinese medicine including acupuncture. In fact, our first session was mostly a qigong session. I had to experience it to believe that I could actually feel them moving qi against me without actually physically touching me, and afterwards I was able to confirm that what I sensed (eyes closed) was what they were doing. It was totally wild. Besides their skills and knowledge, Tank is just such a good listener. I love the first part of our sessions because they really ask good questions and are completely present for the conversation. I can tell they really want to know the whole context to help a person. One thing that Tank is especially good at is being sensitive to sensitive people. I get cold easily and am sensitive to noise, and every time they get the ultra-crinkly mylar blanket to warm me up (it's very light so it doesn't disturb the needles, but also super noisy), they put it on me with exquisite care to ensure the noise isn't detracting from the experience. That is just how they do things - with exquisite care. Highly recommend going to see Tank for holistic care through the lens of Chinese medicine!
I left feeling so zen and loose, it was honestly the best massage Ive had in years, my shoulders have been a mess lately and they really focused on getting the knots out without making it hurt. The place is really clean and calming, teh vibe was just right for relaxing. Christina is amazing and really listened to what I needed, I definately plan on going back becuase its just such a find. Prices are reasonable too especially for how good it is.

I’ve now had two visits at Golden Leaf Acupuncture in Albany, and I felt like I needed to share my experience because it has honestly made a difference for me.
I suffer from chronic back pain related to injuries from my military service. Pain has been something I live with daily. I’ve tried different things over the years to manage it, and while some help short term, nothing really addressed the bigger picture. I’ll admit, before coming here, I didn’t think much about acupuncture. I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after just two visits, I can confidently say it has helped ease my pain and, more importantly, helped me manage it better.
The practitioner providing care has been extremely kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable. You can tell she knows what she’s doing. She takes the time to listen, explain possible causes of my pain, and offer practical self-care advice I can use at home. That guidance alone has been incredibly valuable. I walk away not just feeling physically better, but more informed and empowered about how to take care of myself.
The office itself is calm and comfortable once you’re inside. The waiting area feels relaxing and welcoming. Parking can be a little challenging — I’ve had to park a block or two away and walk — and there isn’t much identifying signage outside yet, so it may still be a newer location. But don’t let that discourage you. Once you step inside, you’ll feel at ease.
The staff truly make you feel at home. Each visit has been positive, and I genuinely look forward to going back. If you’re dealing with chronic pain, back issues, or just looking for thoughtful, knowledgeable care, I would absolutely recommend giving Golden Leaf Acupuncture a try. It has helped me more than I expected, and I’m grateful I found it.
This is an oasis and sanctuary. The kindest people run this place as a beautiful service to those who need it. When I lived in El Cerrito I came often. As a self-employed magician, I'm always on the go and it becomes really hard to stop. Sarana granted me the permission to stop, refuel and warm my heart. This is a group context, which keeps the rates affordable. I remain grateful to Sarana and all the angels there!

Kurt and Sean were fantastic instructors! They definitely helped me to understand the proper techniques and etiquette when it comes to driving and they did it in a manner that was easy to understand. Definitely recommend this driving school!
