We did quite a lot of research on flooring before we ran into this store, and surprisingly found they have the best prices and quality for flooring even compared with Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and other independent stores. They also offer installation services with a very reasonable rate. The owner is very friendly and would like to share info with customers. In addition, he has the factory behind his store and customizes products as requested. Great experience going with them and would definitely recommend the store to anyone.

Hair services were excellent:; thanks Katherine! The eyebrow wax, shape and tint was a real disappointment. While the trimming and shaping were well done, the tint was botched. I clearly asked for light brown to go with blond hair and highlights, and wound up with black. I was assured it was “really” light brown and would “fade” after I washed with soap and water a few times. It has not so far, and under several types of lighting, appears black. I am assured that I can come back for a free re-do, but I will be asking for a refund as I am not confident in the esthetician.

Came as a walk-in for a refresher on my layers and bangs, Sehyan was amazing! She cut (with blow dry) my hair in between another client coloration, efficient, lovely but not overly chatty, overall I am very pleased. I'll definitely will go back. Price for the cut was 50$+tx which I find reasonable for what she did (plus the efficiency, no time wasted).

Farzad is my go to guy and my back up is the owner Hassam (Sam) who also does a great job. I've had almost all of their barbers cut my hair at one point or another and the cuts were always excellent. 110% recommended and if your from out of town and in need of a solid haircut before your next big meeting...the Uber or Taxi to this barbershop truly is worth it! Are they a bit on the pricy side? -Yep. Worth the extra coin? -YEP! (For $10-15 less there's a place up the road that also caters to men's haircuts. I went there once and never went back. Nuff said)

So happy I decided to start tanning a couple times a week. The memberships are priced affordably and the flexibility you get with joining is awesome. So far anytime I've wanted to book a bed I've never had a problem with not getting an appt. The staff at the Carling location are so friendly and helpful it makes it a pleasure to go for a tan. They are so accommodating as well if you are running a bit behind schedule they have always found a way to let me have a bed. Going above and beyond and staying a few minutes past closing. I will definitely be renewing my membership when my current flex membership expires. Thanks to all staff and management for your professionalism. I feel and look great after every visit. Afterall doesn't everyone look a little better with a tan. Don't overdo it though as we all know the dangers of over exposure to harmful rays from tanning beds. I say within moderation is the key to keeping our skin healthy. Fyi if you are looking for VIT D a tanning bed is not the place to get it. Chatgbt will provide the accurate info if you want clarification on this.
This salon is very clean. The tanning beds are excellent. The owner changes the bulbs in the beds often. All of the staff are well educated about the beds and the tanning lotions. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this tanning salon.

I have my preference for short square and dark but I see them doing everything from shellac to dip & extensions. I have been elsewhere, for reasons of time, location, convenience but keep coming back to Zoey’s. I just think they’re the best!
Went in for my first pedicure and manicure after stopping biting my nails. I almost fell asleep in the chair during the pedicure. The woman was so gentle and extremely thorough. Brought me water when I got a dry cough, made sure the massage chair was on. She done an absolutely perfect job of my french tips, free handed perfection. My hands and feet have never looked so good, or felt so smooth and hydrated.
Prices were so reasonable too, there's an atm on site. It smells and looks really clean and the mild spa music is perfect. I also love that the windows are privacy windows so people on the street can't look in

I usually love this place. They definitely do a great job for nails. But it’s been frustrating when i book appointments they never fall through. I can admit i do book the day off but it’s usually a couple hours notice. Sometimes a girl has a nail emergency ! Great nails and always do a good job but would hope the organization to improve. If it’s too booked up i’d prefer a “sorry we don’t have room” compared to calling me an hour before i leave to cancel my appointment.

Tessa is truly a master of her craft, and I could not be happier with the results! I have light/medium brown hair, and had requested a brow that was natural in appearance yet well-defined. That's a fine line to walk, but Tessa absolutely nailed it! I trusted the process, dutifully followed the aftercare instructions, and the results have left me with so much more confidence in my day-to-day appearance. I've had two annual touch-up appointments since my initial nanoblading appointment, and my brows have held up beautifully over the past few years.

Was a bit skeptical at first, but she came out and greeted me and brought me to the spa area through the back. Getty (Prounounced Jetty) pays attention to detail at a granular level, it was unreal.I went for a mani/pedi and up treating myself to a full spa day. I initially booked a mani pedi loved it soo much, she gave me a price list upon arrival and I stayed for a massage, chemical peel facial, underarm wax plus first time getting a paraffin wax treatment on my feet.Mani was on point. She cleaned up my cuticles and took the time not like some places. Gave my nails a really nice treatment. Colour was neutral and it's been a couple weeks already and still looks fresh. You definitely get what you pay for.Pedi same, I had some ingrown nails and she fixed me right up, took her time. Favorite part of the pedi was the lower leg massage ? Music was a nice touch. The massage was an hour, not RMT but worth every penny. She included the "aromatherapy choice" of essential oil and I have always paid an extra $20 for that. I got this citrus scent and nearly fell asleep. Plus she used like 4 hot towels, 1 after each part was done which felt Amazing!!! No place does that.My first paraffin wax treatment ever. It was only $8 quite hot initially but the heat quickly subsided and prehistoric looking feet were smooth as ever. This is totally normal, I looked it up. Seriously get this treatment, it's worth it.I had a chemical peel facial and Getty explained everything as she was doing it. It takes about 45-50 minutes, she doesn't rush and felt luxurious. I have sensitive skin so I a bit weary, been to a couple of places and have had adverse reactions. All of her products were gentle on my skin, no burning, no redness after. Plus she did the neck and decolleté area too!!! Wow! Looked smooth, less pronounced lines and smoother skin. Totally worth it.For the underarm waxing, she used small strips and it was much less painful than expected.I have been to many spas and salons. Getty made me feel comfortable, she explained everything that she was doing. She knows what she is talking about with her cute little accent. Would definitely recommend. So happy I found this place. She also has some package options and plans if you like it upon request. Most likely gonna get the 6month package next time I'm there.
I do nothing but rant and rave about Obscura. The studio is stunning, extremely clean, calming and it has always been such a welcoming space every time that I have visited. Although I have only been tattooed by two of the artists, all of the staff are always extremely friendly and interested to see the work I am getting done during my session. I have a full left arm sleeve done by Mariah and I have a beautiful piece on my back done by Maria where my only complaint is that I decided to place it behind me so I can’t admire it at all times! I get so many compliments on the work that I have done and without hesitation, I recommend Obscura as there are so many artists with such amazing talents who can help you vision come to life even better than you have ever imagined! I will only go to this studio from now on for any work that I am getting done. Don’t hesitate and book an appointment!
I had such a wonderful experience today getting my earlobes pierced by Jen. She was very welcoming right off the bat, and very helpful when picking out jewelry and showing me different options. When it came time to prep for the piercings, she was very meticulous and made sure things lined up perfectly with my other piercings that I have already. She explained thoroughly the piercing process, the sterilization of tools/jewelry, and aftercare. The piercings turned out beautifully, and are perfectly symmetrical on both sides! The shop itself is very clean, spacious and has a great atmosphere overall. Reception staff were also lovely to interact with. I will strongly suggest this shop for anyone needing services!
I have never once had a bad experience here. Pickles is absolutely phenomenal. She always listens carefully and puts such a fun personal spin on every tattoo she does. She has an incredibly light hand and always has fun during the whole time youre in her seat. She is the best tattoo artist I've ever had and i would be devestated if she stopped tattooing.
Kyle has the most calming presence during piercings. He is thorough and supportive. He dedicates extra time to answer any questions you may have and his demeanor is soothing while he's piercing you.

So I finally decided to pull the trigger and get some ink. I found this place through a Google search (normally I ask friends). The process was very quick and any questions I had were answered immediately.
On my day, I had Cynthia as my artist. This was my first tattoo and she was absolutely amazing at explaining everything and keeping me 'distracted'!
It's only been 1 day but I completely love the job she did and would have no reservations returning or recommending (already have when asked where I got ink!).
T and I finished my Full Sleeve exactly a year ago this Month. We started out discussing the piece I wanted and how I wanted it to look. T without hesitation made the whole design for the sleeve free of charge so I could see it before hand. Since the tattoo has been finished. Im happy to say T and I still chat on the regular and play soccer together. T is a stellar Human and an even more amazing tattoo artist. I could go on for a long time, but long story short. I've been having great experiences with one of the tattoo artists from Barnstormer: Dan. He's been great to work with. Our appointments have been consistent with what we've scheduled. From June 2nd to 4th, 2025, Lance and Jake from Environmental Plumbing replaced the defective Poly B water lines in my home with certified Pex water lines. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to Lance and Jake for their professionalism and expertise in dealing with the scope of this type of home project. I highly recommend those who have Poly B water pipes (installed in homes from 1970 to 1997), to contact Environmental Plumbing and have them replaced. Many insurance companies will no longer provide coverage, should you experience water damage in your homes as a result of having Poly B water lines. I honestly can't say enough good things about 613 Plumbing! I was completely without water — no running water at all — and living rurally on a well, that’s a full-blown emergency. The original plumber I had used in the past took all day to return my call and said he wouldn’t be available for at least a week. Enter Dave from 613 Plumbing, who showed up the same day and saved the day. They got the call, found the part, and did the work before the previous plumber called me back!!
This previous plumber had told me my unit was discontinued and quoted me nearly three times the price. But Dave? Over the last three years we have used the services of Floodlight Electric at our home. We had found out about this excellent company by Jim Sourges the Owner of the Electrical and Plumbing Stores (EPS) in Ottawa. We are most grateful for his most astute recommendation of this company. I would be remiss to mention that EPS has well trained staff along with superior products as well at their two stores in Ottawa.
The latest work at our home involved the removal of 60-year-old plus electric wall plugs in which Adam the electrician assigned to our home found and corrected. In the wall plug replacement he found two wall plugs not attached to anything and the only thing keeping the wall plug in place was the face plate cover which was screwed into the outlet held in place by the face plate on the wall.
He also installed a ceiling fan in a bedroom for us and installed LED light fixture over the bathtub. The original bathtub light fixture was failing due age. This light fixture has now produced a safe environment in our bathtub. With the ceiling fan Adam briefed us on the use of same and answered all questions to our satisfaction.
Now to Adam whom we found a real treat to work with as not only is he gifted with incredibility fine interpersonal skills, a sound work ethic, we observed advance technical skills watching his work and more importantly to the householder he left the house in better condition when he found it.
Based on the above I can not recommend Floodlight Electric highly enough and if Adam shows up you will be in safe hands,
Groot Electric installed a Generlink for us to allow portable generator connection to our house. Communication was excellent, Mike was fully transparent on the process and costs, zero surprises. Fully coordinated with Hydro Ottawa for the disconnect and scheduling the disconnect & installation date. John the master electrician arrived early on install day, hydro too was early so no delays at all, minimal downtown. John fully explained the setup, things to be careful of and best practices to follow if needing to switch over to generator power. Excellent experience from beginning to end. Thanks!

I would make this a 10 star review, if I could, after our 2nd visit. UPDATE. The fan belt stayed on, but the plastic bit that had broken did not. We had to order a replacement part. Capital Appliance ordered the part and sent out their technician as soon it arrived. I was expecting at least $500 in cost, but they only charged for the part (less than $100 and cheaper than any supply I could find online). AND they didn't charge for the visit, even though it had been almost 2 months since the initial fix. Can't recommend this company enough.
First review (Sept 2025) solid 5 stars for Capital Appliance Repair in Ottawa and Yuri, the technician who came to give the diagnostic look at our washing machine. Like the 4 other companies I reached out to, including the international home hardware store I bought the appliance from 3 years ago, Capital had a fee for sending someone out to see what was wrong. It was the smallest of the fees by more than half - AND they deduct it from the bill if we decide to move ahead with the repair from them once they give their estimate.
Yuri was able to tell us what was wrong and repair it immediately, as it did not require new parts. He told us that if the machine broke down again within the next month, we would only be charged for any needed parts, not labour. It's an hour later, and I'm happily washing clothes for the first time in over a week! I will use this local company from now on when our appliances need repairs, although I hope it's not too often. Really great experience.
After my door's lock coming out of the door and being stuck outside, calling multiple companies, Lock Solutions was the one. They came in quickly and even called to give updates on the way. Their pricing was very honest and super reasonable.
The technician, Anthony was a charm and was clearly very skilled. He pointed out exactly why the malfunction happened, explained what he's doing and even fixed another door installation mistake while here. We had Stephen steam clean our new house before we moved in. I recently had my carpets professionally cleaned for a move out/move in at my rental property. The carpets were so dirty that they needed remedial work. Extremely happy with Browns Cleaners! In 2024, I took a simple, three quarter length black winter coat to Roundabout Laundry at 1097 Cyrville Rd, and they charged me $62.15 to have it dry cleaned. A few days ago, I took the same winter coat to Browns Cleaners on Beechwood and they charged me $32.54. At the end of September, I took some pants to be shortened at Stitch It in the Rideau Centre, they charged me $19.97. I took a pair of pants to get shortened today at Browns Cleaners and they charged me $12.43. If you can make it to Beechwood Avenue for your dry cleaning and tailoring needs, GO TO BROWNS CLEANERS!

Searched for months to find hardwood to match existing flooring in our 20+yr home. Nelson at Xpression was helpful in the entire process. No pressure sales. We got a match in the Wickham (all Canadian) product line. The wood and finished floors looks beautiful. Ibrahim T., did a wonderful job on the installation. He was punctual, on time every day, meticulous in his work and communicated every step in the process. When the job was done, he and assistant, cleaned, vacuum and removed all the debris, making my cleanup easy. Recommend these 2 installers for all Xpression hardwood flooring installation. We did quite a lot of research on flooring before we ran into this store, and surprisingly found they have the best prices and quality for flooring even compared with Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and other independent stores. They also offer installation services with a very reasonable rate. The owner is very friendly and would like to share info with customers. In addition, he has the factory behind his store and customizes products as requested. Great experience going with them and would definitely recommend the store to anyone.

We recently received defective flooring purchased at Flooring Canada for a kitchen renovation. Many of the boards were damaged and had defects stemming from poor quality control by the manufacturer. Flooring Canada was in no way responsible for the manufacturing problems. Andre was able to quickly resolve the issue to our entire satisfaction and we were able to exchange the defective flooring for a product of superior quality. Andre was very proactive, helpful and friendly, acting on our behalf in what could have been a messy dispute with the manufacturer. He was able transform what might have been a very stressful situation into a very positive customer experience.
The installation of the flooring, carried out by a professional from Flooring Canada, was completed recently. The installer was meticulous and highly skilled. We are delighted with our beautiful new kitchen floor.

Found pest patrol on google. Called in and Edan received my call. He listened carefully as I explained my pest issue. He was able to point out the source of the issue, which is seasonal, and the pest will vanish in due time. Since the pests are few in number he recommended I give it time and did not charge for this information. I gave 5 starts for great customer service unbiased advice.
Last year we decided to get service from mosquito buzz and we were wonderfully surprised by their professionalism, service, and overall quality. We have extreme amount of mosquitoes on our property which is around an acre but the surrounding area is full of forests/bushes so the mosquitoes love to live there. Having been at this place for over a decade we have tried everything prior to going with mosquito buzz but this was a life changer. We have used the service first because our kids are very young and they would get over 30 bites within half an hour of being outside and they stopped going outside altogether. In addition we found that 1 of them is actually allergic to their bites. Having said that, I thought initially that the price was a little bit steep but due to the medical reasons we agreed it's necessary. This has been the best decision, as we are able to go outside at all times of the day and night. we have eaten most of our lunches a dinner's outside and have been able to tend to the garden at those times when mosquitoes were coming out to eat us all.Service is exceptional dot they send a person every cycle oh and they get in contact with us a day prior and when they arrive on the property so we can make sure to close our windows. They have been exceptionally on time and professional with our request. We know that we will be using the service and have talked to friends who went with different companies and their mosquito reduction is not even close to ours so all in all it is great. If you have mosquitoes and they are bothering you believe me this is the best Investments you can make because winters are long and our summers are so short so might as well take advantage of them.

This summer, a major part of my lawn was taken over by crabgrass. What a mess. It took a while to remove it; and then I had to make a decision as to how to recover my lawn. I had heard about a solution called slit seeding and contacted Dominic, at Primo Landscaping. He checked out my lawn, and told me he could help. It took him about half a day to complete the process. Dominic instructed me to water twice a day for 10 minutes, for two weeks. After two weeks, I couldn’t believe how much the grass had grown…totally unbelievable. The grass is thick and a beautiful green. I highly recommend using Primo Landscaping for your lawn seeding needs. They provide very professional, efficient service.

I hired Solomon a couple of years ago to remove a few trees in my backyard. He gave me a fair quote and did the work within a couple of days of my first contacting him. He did an amazing job, so professional!!! That is why when I needed some more trees taken down a couple of weeks again I contacted him again. This time they were huge trees in my front yard, both really close to my house, one also tangled up in hydro lines- in other words a really complex job. He and his crew once again did an incredible job. I think there is nothing this guy can't do. And he is also quick- he came the day I called to give me a quote and did the work the next day. Added bonus he's a really decent guy. He came back today to cut some branches away from my roof and chimney that he'd noticed when he was here last week. Didn't charge me for it - just did it because he's a really good guy. I highly recommend him for any tree removal you need.
If I could rate them with a 6th star, I would. The crew were amazing. They dropped tree limbs between the fence and the house, a space of less than 10 feet, perfectly. They pruned or removed 4 trees in just over an hour and when they finished you could barely tell they had been there. A few days later the stumps had been ground. The price was totally reasonable, and less than I was expecting. Great communications, pleasant and competent staff. What else do you need?

Mike is professional, down-to-earth and confident about his trade/skills. He knows what he’s doing and definitely knows how to make you feel better by the end of it. At the start of each session, he would ask me if there are any areas that are bothering me and works exclusively on those sections of my body to release the knots! The result is always the same - I would feel great mentally, emotionally and physically after a massage time and time again.

I went today for the first time to get my first abdominal massage with Diana, which was great. She was extremely helpful, professional, and very knowledgeable. She treated me very well. When it comes to her, the massage was perfect. I’m glad I tried it and definitely will continue with her.
However, the clinic environment is not very professional or hygienic. The clinic staff never mentioned or told me during the booking that they have 2 dogs running around when I’m allergic to dogs.
When I was trying to relax and enjoy my massage, one of the dogs kept barking loudly. I would love to go back to book more massage sessions with Diana, but the only thing that’s stopping me from going back is the dog allergy. Dog was keep looking at me and barking while I was paying my bill at the cash.
Not sure why the clinic owner keeps their pets locked inside the clinic, it’s not even safe or fair to the dogs. Other than that it was an amazing experience. Thanks to Diana M Sheldrick. She did a great job.

Our 2 cats, Maple and Freya, came back smelling great and beautiful. I dont know how they did it but they did an amazing job. I could never trim Maples nails while she is awake but they did it and in record time. When we brought them home, i could even feel that they are better tempered than before especially Maple. If I could give a higher rating than 5 I totally would. The staff are also very very helpful by answering questions I had about brushes.

I hired Marlene at La Tropiqua to do pedicures for the guests at a baby shower I hosted and it was fantastic. Marlene was great to work with in the lead up the party and all of the guests had a great time. It was such a nice way to spend the afternoon. Marlene brought everything with her and even had spa music playing while doing the pedicures. I would highly recommend!
I had my very first RMT massage here, and it was a great experience. James was very professional and kind. If I get the chance, I’d definitely come back for another massage!

I have been going to Lori for years and it has been a consistently positive experience. She is kind, attentive, and warm. She treats my condition really well, and I always feel like a million dollar right after the session. The pain goes away and I feel so relaxed. I always look forward to seeing her (and her mom who sometimes works at the reception)!

Alison is phenomenal and I can't recommend her enough to anyone who wants actual therapeutic treatment for pain, soreness, injury, etc. She has a deep understanding of physiology and anatomy, and is able to pinpoint all the different parts of your body that contribute to (what may seem like) a single issue. I've gone 3 times now for an old elbow injury that impacts my daily life, and those 3 sessions have given me more relief than I've ever in almost as many years. I've gone through so many RMTs who just want to give you a gentle back massage, even if you tell them you want to address a specific issue. In contrast, Alison will dig deep into your tissue and bring lasting relief and recovery!

I’ve been coming to this clinic for over a decade. Everyone is very skilled & able to sleuth out root causes. Bhavika Shah is a newer physiotherapist at the clinic & I had to leave a review. She’s thorough & uber smart about causes of upper body tension & headaches. Within a few sessions I’m symptom-free & have a full plan for prevention & managing any issues while on a strenuous adventure trip.
Chartier is a very warm and welcoming place for physiotherapy etc. The young people at reception don’t make you feel as if you’re being processed. We don’t feel as if we’re in clinic. There are notices with all kinds of helpful and healthful information. It not all just about physiotherapy.,Erin actually does hands on therapy. You don’t get ten minutes of physiotherapy and then fifty minutes attached to some machine. You’re not lying there alone thinking I could be doing this at home for a lot less money.Erin is a very skilled therapist. When she saw the note from Nabeela’s doctor she knew immediately what Nabeela needed for relief. Her knowledge of the issues affecting Nabeela have been so beneficial. I’m always pleasantly impressed by the difference in my spouse after a session with Erin. Thank you!

I passed my G test on the first attempt thanks to Mr. Murugan! He’s an incredibly patient and experienced instructor who truly cares about his students’ success. What I appreciated most was how thoroughly he prepared me, not just for the basics, but for all the worst-case scenarios that could come up during the test. He made sure I was fully equipped and confident to handle anything on the road.

The staff is amazing they know the system and they did an amazing job with continuous follow up with the ministry to keep things moving along.
