Today we took our 18 month old son to Ms. Emily for his first haircut and she was incredible! We were in and out in less than 20 minutes, she handled all of his wiggles and movements like a certified pro and gave him an adorable haircut while entertaining and being so kind to him.

Isaac has cut my and my dad’s hair for decades. I moved out of town and I haven’t found a barber that compares. Every time I’m in town I make sure to swing by. My wife agrees it’s the best my hair looks.
Ive set in 3 different chairs over the years and never received a bad haircut. I used to just walk in and wait as my barber there at the time did not take appointments. Sometimes he was so booked I would sit in another barber's chair just because so many were ahead of me. This ended up happening 1 time when TJ had a spot that was open due to a cancelation or some other reason so I sat in his chair. What I received was a service of care, consideration and a haircut that was absolutely great. I’ve been getting my haircut here for about 3 years now. I’ve gotten consistent good haircuts here. Of course each barber has his/her own skill sets and that’s okay! Theyre kind , friendly, and hardworking. Just be honest and be open. Prices are extremely fair. I get charged 25-35$ per cut depending on what I get. I have short curly hair for context. I’ve gotten fades, tapers, trims, blowouts, got my fro leveled, a box top here, and a buzz.

I went to LA Nails two days before my wedding, and Dee gave me the perfect dip manicure and pedicure! She did a special coloring for me (I believe it was 2 coats bubble bath with one coat white) when she found out it was for my wedding. I'm typing this three weeks after my wedding, and my nails are still holding out! Dee and Andy are so sweet and create such a nice and comfortable atmosphere. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do and in making it a great space for regulars. Next time I'm back in Asheville, I'll go back to LA Nails!

This was heavenly and will now be my top priority when visiting Asheville! My therapist was Sam, and she has such a gift with her therapeutic touch and kind nature! I was having a very stressful week and immediately felt nurtured and relaxed upon entering Wake. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. They offer a lovely menu of wine, bubbles, teas, snacks - and you just sit back and feel supported. I enjoyed a Meditation Garden soak with 40 min of massage and a glass of Chandon rose bubbles. And Sam was super accommodating in doing the head and neck massage with dry hands so my hair was the same when I left and I could head straight to a lunch meeting. LOVE this place!

We did a couple’s massage with a foot soak and it was just perfect. My husband had Presley as his massage therapist and he said that it was the best massage that he’s ever had (he gets one twice a month). The atmosphere was quiet, quaint, and lovely smelling. It’s a pretty small space so if it gets busy I could see it feeling crowded but for a weekday luxury out, it was perfect. We’ll be back!

I completed the acne clinic with Aranka over the last 3 months, and it was well worth it! My skin was very clogged with deep acne and very textured. At the first appointment, we went through my current skin care products in detail, as well as diet/lifestyle things that could cause breakouts. At every facial, she did careful extractions and a chemical peel. Aranka made sure to ask how the peel felt to ensure it was not too intense. I have very sensitive skin, so I really appreciated her thoughtfulness!
In terms of cost, I think it is well worth the investment. You do have to purchase the skincare she recommends, Face Reality, but the price is comparable, if not cheaper, than other high-end skincare brands. I have come to love this brand! My skin has never felt smoother or more hydrated. Because you are getting facials much more regularly than normal, they are discounted from the original acne facial price.
The whole experience was very thorough and professional. I would definitely recommend the acne clinic to anyone struggling to clear their skin on their own!

The minute we stepped off elevator we were greeted by Bonnie, let me tell you she is the dream “employee” she is so witty and efficient she processed every patient in the same manner. What a jewel. My husband was called back in minutes. Nurse Josh was a superstar, gentle and kind. Very informative. You wouldn’t think it could get any better. In Walks, Dr. D’Souza, incredible bed side manner he too was witty and explained in detail the procedure during the entire visit. No wonder he is one of the top NC doctors four years in a row. Just incredible! Thanks to the entire staff for their professionalism, kindness and excellence they all deserve a Humanitarian award! I had a wonderful experience being tattooed by Kimber at the Depot St. location. My tattoo was so quick and turned out beautiful. Kimber made the experience very comfortable and enjoyable. I will absolutely be returning for future tattoos.
I've had tattoos done by both Carrie and Rhiannon, both are so wonderful to work with! I actually met Rhiannon while getting tattooed by Carrie after inquiring about a different tattoo I wanted.
Carrie focuses more on fine line black tattoos (see the picture of my 2 dogs nose outlines) and I knew I wanted a big colorful piece. She introduced me to Rhiannon who took the time to find out exactly what I wanted with a consultation. Setting up an appointment was super easy, then the actual appointment was also chill. Rhiannon made sure I was comfortable during the process, communicated before during and after the session. The outlines were completed and we set up the next appointment for the coloring that I wanted.

Today the outside temperature was 95 and when we got home, our interior temperature was 83. Our AC wasn't cooling and we called several local contractors and they were all 2-3 weeks out. The fine folks at MB Haynes came out within one hour and within 20 minutes Paul had us cooling again. These guys have the BEST service. Thank you MB Haynes and Paul for getting us cooler faster. We truly appreciate it as we had been at the Hope Cancer Center all day with a loved one and coming home to this was miserable, until MB Haynes made things much better.

AC Williams installed four replacement radiators in our 100 year old house.
They were very efficient and very pleasant to work with. It's a family business and the son and daughter were helping on installation day.
I have heard they are one of only two companies in this area who install radiators and service boilers, so the wait was pretty long. We were booked for a couple months before they could get to us.
All in, it cost around $8,000 to have some of our busted old cast iron baseboard radiators removed and four standing replacement radiators installed in two rooms. The workers were very efficient, removing the baseboard radiators one day and installing the replacement radiators in about another half day, a month or so later. The system has been working great for the past month and a half since they finished the job. They really got to us in the nick of time!
I only wish they could have cleaned up the radiators before installing them, as the rust and flaking paint makes a mess and we're not really sure what to do about it.
Keean came and diagnosed an issue and resolved it same day. Kept us well informed as to what was needed as well as recommended items for future maintenance.

We hired Crown Electric for a massive undertaking at our 100 year old home: completely removing the original knob and tube wiring, relocating the electrical panel, and upgrading our service to 200amp. From day one, the experience was absolutely top-notch.
Donna in the main office is an absolute gem. She consistently went out of her way to coordinate with our schedule and keep the project running seamlessly. Jared, the owner, personally reviewed the entire scope of work and provided excellent, honest advice to make sure we were approaching the project the right way.
The on-site crew, Josh and Adam, spent nearly three weeks meticulously working on our house, and we cannot praise them enough. Rewiring a historic home is a notoriously invasive process, but it was honestly like magic watching these guys work. They managed to run all the new wire and pull out the old with as minimal destruction to our walls and ceilings as possible. Beyond their technical skill, they took great care of our home. They were highly communicative, completely fair, and exceptionally mindful of the fact that we were still living in the house during the project.

I was referred to PBI for our residential windows to be replaced. I wasn't aware that they did that kind of work. I learned about their preferred line of windows from Sun and stopped in. We met Brian Hutchinson who came out to our house, a long way out to our house. He put a great quote together that was surprising and we went with Brian. Unfortunately, this was during the supply chain problems but Brian kept us informed and we actually got delivery at an ideal time (January followed by the installation week in February with 70+ degeree weather) and in went the windows. We love them! Great looking, great functionality and Brian was great to work with! We highly recommend PBI and Brian! If you're considering replacing windows in your home, do not overlook PBI. Gosh, where do I even begin with these guys? There are simply too many good things to say.
When we started our remodel/renovation journey, we knew we wanted to go with a company who could accomplish our goals while maintaining the unique feel of our historic home. We met with a few different companies, and while all were great, Lobo was exceptional. In a simple explanation, we went off of “vibes” when it came time to make our decision.
The first person we met with was Thomas Wolfe, who clearly shared an appreciation for older houses. Within minutes of meeting him, we had the confidence we’d been searching for in order to commit to our ideas.
Shortly after the process began, we were introduced to Laurin, who would be our main point of contact and guide through our project. Although Thomas had helped us feel confident enough to commit, Laurin really made us feel solidified in knowing that we’d made the right choice going with Lobo. She understood the asks and shared the vision from the very first meeting. She was able to just completely maximize the space that we had to make so much sense for our family’s needs. I am still blown away by what she was able to do with our plans and am so grateful for her expertise and eye for beauty.
Once demo started and construction was underway, we were introduced to Ric and his team. Ric has been nothing short of amazing. He is very professional, responsive, and clearly so knowledgeable about all things reno. He was our other main point of contact throughout the process and really made us feel like our home was in the best hands. I had full confidence that everyone I met working on our house knew what they were doing, loved what they were doing, and shared our vision. Our house, despite being a work site, always felt looked after and cared for.
Their estimation process with Chuck was extremely precise. We knew exactly what our budget was going to be and even came about 10% under that in the final count, as well as exactly when our completion date was. They were able to wrap up about a week early to help our son get into school on time! From day one we got progress reports matching our timelines and budget with the work as it was completed so we could plan our move in accordingly.
After the project was completed, Lobo was very present and checked in with us regularly to see how we were settling back in and enjoying the remodel. They have even helped us with a few things after Hurricane Helene that they did not have to help with. They truly feel like more of a family than a company and I would recommend them to anyone over and over again. We hope to use them again in the future for whatever projects we set our sights on.

They helped build my dream shop! RLC did all of the foundation and concrete work. This included digging/pouring footers for the block foundation as well as pouring the slab the building sits on and about 100ft concrete driveway. Another company actually put the building up, but RLC did all the foundation and driveway work.
Anjelica was so patient and helpful. She took an incredibly long list of tasks and house parts and helped us find colors and combinations and made it look easy. Jocelyn was the perfect front man; she made us feel welcome and got the show on the road quickly. She got our site evaluation organized and we’ll close on the property tomorrow. I can’t thank Tuff Walls enough. We run an Airbnb, and we were left in a really stressful situation after a previous contractor disappeared, leaving a half-finished retaining wall with no rebar and a tiny footer. We only had about 2.5 days before our next guest arrived, and we were honestly panicking.
Tuff Walls came through for us in every possible way. They showed up exactly when they said they would, knocked down the half-finished wall, and built a brand-new, solid, and way nicer wall in an unbelievable amount of time. They kept everything clean, communicated well, and somehow managed to finish right before our guests checked in.

I brought my cat from another emergency practice in Tennessee that was closing overnight, as I felt he needed monitoring at a 24-hour hospital due to a urinary obstruction. I called ahead, confirmed that his records had been sent, and when I arrived, they were already expecting us.
I spoke with the doctor right away (Dr. Wedig), who clearly explained the treatment options and the need for hospitalization and extended catheter placement. I was extremely distraught at the time, and the entire team met that energy with compassion and calm reassurance. I also shared my concern about avoiding opioid sedatives due to a suspected link to the obstruction, and they were very open and respectful of that discussion.
During his two-and-a-half-day hospitalization, I received daily calls from the doctor. When I called for updates myself, I was always able to get timely and helpful information. My cat was released promptly once appropriate, and I’m deeply thankful for the care that helped him recover.
I hope I won’t need emergency care again, but if I do, I would not hesitate to return here.

My dog is more precious to me than almost anyone, which made years of groomers sending her home stressed and unsettled heartbreaking.I had started to wonder if a happy grooming experience was even possible.
As it turns out, it is.
My dog leaves every single appointment feeling like herself. Her groomer, Addie, treats her with the kind of love and attentiveness you'd show your own pet — learning her fears and what makes her feel safe. I've walked in mid-appointment to find Addie holding her or kissing her. That says it all.
The trust our family has built with Something to Bark About over the years is rare. They are skilled and thorough in the groom, but also patient and kind and trustworthy. For anyone whose dogs are genuine members of the family, I can't recommend Something to Bark About enough.

The staff at Leash does a great job with both of my dogs (I have a long haired Dalmatian and a small long haired Dachshund chihuahua). Both come home super happy after dropping them off. It’s a noticeable difference from our experience with other groomers… We live about 30 min away and it’s definitely worth the drive for us to take them to Leash. Would recommend to others as your go-to day care and dog groomer
Mary Lynne owns Dog Gone Gorgeous. I have used her good services for 7 years steadily ever since my dog was a little guy. She is very good with dogs and enjoys them. Mary Lynne is very thorough, conscientious and reliable.

This particular event, adding another level to our practice, was very special. Letitia guided us through mindful and restorative movement, and Jodi delivered her services with skill, empathy and emotional intelligence. The combination created a magical and safe space where our small group could feel grounded and ready to welcome Spring and connect with nature’s awakening. Beautiful facility and amazing knowledgeable instructors. I started Pilates at Asheville Pilates over fours years ago after breaking my humerus. Best decision I've ever made. I have full mobility back in my arm and a year later they helped with my recovery after a hip replacement. Im so much stronger than before. Ive been going twice per week and plan to continue for the rest of my days. It really has changed my life.

This is THE PLACE for Pilates: Erin is an expert, knowledgeable teacher and practitioner of the true method of Pilates. She has trained intensively and keeps her knowledge updated. If you want to learn and practice Joe Pilates’ method… I can only recommend Erin. On top of that, Erin is a kind, generous person and highly respected!
I came to the studio, having not dine Pilates in a long while. I have one on one classes with Nancy, who is fabulous, she is very patient and helps me with every movement. I have enjoyed every session with her. The studio is small but very nice. All the ladies are excellent instructors. Weel work taking my one on one classes.
Where do I begin…Meagan has changed my body for the better. Her attention to the detail of my body and knowledge of Joseph Pilates classical movements are magical. At 55 I am more limber and aware of how my body moves and comfortable in my own skin than I ever have been. Top notch all the way☺

I have never done Pilates before coming to this studio and I started with the private in person sessions. Both Amy and April are amazing teachers. I love the welcoming atmosphere and the studio is nice. They have all the equipment you could need. I like that they are taking Covid seriously and offer virtual sessions and require masks for in person sessions. The online booking is convenient for me. There is street parking available or you can park at two designated free spots next to Vortex. I highly recommend them!
The customer service was amazing! In my opinion, the prices are good. Now... let's talk about my massage therapist (Michael). He was soooooo good. Litterly would have given the man my entire checkbook; instead I opted to give him a 50% tip lol. His techniques really helped ease my muscles. Definitely coming back!

So thankful to have found this wonderful practice. Ninety minute sessions with other local bodywork practitioners haven’t provided anywhere near the level of results I’ve experienced from my 50 minute sessions with Zack and Sarah. Both are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and intuitive. If your muscles are locked up and you’re having trouble sleeping due to pain/tension like I was, this is the place for you.
Cat is amazing. She combines deep knowledge of the body with an intuitive ability to understand individual needs. Every session is thoughtful and personalized. She not only helps correct imbalances and relieve pain, but also teaches me how to move and function better in my daily life so the benefits last beyond the treatment room. I always leave feeling stronger, more aligned, and empowered. Highly recommended.

Erin has a gift. Her touch carries an unusual intelligence. Fluid movements where the boundary between one part and the next disappears, the body engaged as a whole rather than worked through piece by piece. Her presence carried the same quality: quiet, grounded, completely unhurried. My mind became still. Awake, but quiet. I left feeling genuinely shifted from where I was when I arrived.

I’d highly recommend Wild Hawk! On my initial consultation, Sydney took the time to set up a plan that fit within my budget and needs. I came in due to knee pain caused by patellar tendinitis. I love running, but sadly found myself unable to run more than a mile or two without having to stop for need pain. Over the course of my treatment, I’ve been able to run 5 miles with no breaks and no pain!
If you are in need of Physical Therapy this is the place for you!! It is a smoothly run with very competent and caring therapist and staff. I was lucky enough to have Ed and Jules as my therapist working me back into shape. They are awesome!! Lawrence really listened to my concerns at the start of the session, and in addition to a very focused massage, he also provided helpful suggestions about steps I could take on my own to address some of the problems I described. As a Division I baseball pitcher, I came to Asheville PT after having surgery to repair a torn hip labrum and impingement. Every therapist I worked with was extremely hands-on, making sure each exercise was done correctly and tailored to my progression as I returned to the mound. The energy and encouragement they brought to every session kept me motivated and confident throughout the process. For anyone of any age or fitness level who requires physical therapy, I strongly encourage you to go to Asheville PT.
I came to BenchMark Physical Therapy in November/December of 2025 because of a right knee injury. The receptionist, Hope, was kind and thorough getting me set up with insurance and appointments. Aaron, my therapist, showed excellent knowledge in crafting my group of exercises and stretches. He knew how to motivate me and always created an encouraging atmosphere. He was always patient while reminding me of the importance of the details of doing each exercise. I started physical therapy hoping for some improvement in my symptoms of feeling the knee was unstable, being unable to straighten the knee without pain, and being unable to kneel on anything, even a mattress, without pain. But by the end of expert therapy, these symptoms are now completely gone. I am strong and confident again doing normal activities without instability or pain. I am so grateful for the whole experience and can now return to the routine exercise program I was doing before the injury. Thank you, Hope and Aaron, and have a very merry holiday season!

I have years of multiple spinal surgeries, fusions, etc…. This has caused me to have balance issues. Dr. Katie was able to greatly improve my balance. She is very knowledgeable as well as patient. I would highly recommend her!
I was reluctant to get treatment at Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture partly because I was concerned about the very different religious perspectives of proponents of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I am not comfortable with the images and figures that identify the very old large building.
As an evangelical Christian, I was even uncomfortable with the thought that a form of mind-emptying meditation (that I don’t like) would be encouraged.
However, I was so pleasantly surprised! The warmth and courtesy and patient-centered concern of the staff was apparent immediately.
The most wonderful surprise was the very professional and knowledgeable treatment I received from Michael. I have never been treated anywhere where I was given such patient, thorough, compassionate treatment. My sessions lasted hours sometimes, with no additional charge. I was even given a cell number for after hours and also had herbs left after hours for me. Michael even called before my appointment to answer any questions and told me frankly when he was uncertain if his treatment would help. When my appointment went longer than expected, he called my husband who was waiting in the car.
I would encourage anyone who is considering this facility to at least call and make your own decision, with the help of the practitioners on staff. As a former nurse, I was pleased with what I found there!
I cannot recommend James and Tara highly enough. As someone exploring acupuncture and cupping for the very first time, I was a little nervous and skeptical I would be able to find relief. However, I felt truly heard when sharing my history, which made a huge difference before even beginning treatment. James is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate.
I’ve gone for seven sessions now, and their care has helped me take a much more holistic approach to my health. In combination with the treatments, I’ve been able to focus on lowering my stress levels and becoming more mindful of my body mechanics, like improving my posture and being careful with how I lift weight.
While my chronic pain isn't 100% gone, both the overall intensity and frequency of my extreme pain have reduced significantly over time. Finding this level of relief and wellness has been absolutely incredible.
Marielle is an angel! Being with her felt like a breath of fresh air. I felt like I could land fully in the present moment. She made me feel safe, comfortable, and at ease throughout my session. Her grounding presence helped me truly relax, and she used the perfect amount of pressure. She also used hot stones and towels and Tiger Balm to help ease areas where I hold chronic tension. At the end, she let me know what she noticed, what could be causing it, and what she recommended moving forward. Marielle provided everything I was looking for and more. She taught me about what was going on with my body and gave me valuable information to support my healing. I cannot recommend her enough!

I'm so grateful I found Jaime when I decided I wanted to do acupuncture again - I had done it when I was sick as a child and it helped immensely so with a few health things going on in adulthood, and a nervous system that is just a stressed out void, the idea of acupuncture AND reiki was really appealing. I have chronic tinnitus and this is the best my ears have been in years. I also don't know how to explain the reiki - but I feel lighter emotionally and mentally - more in tune with me versus all the energy of others. Can't recommend Jaime enough, she's wonderful at what she does and also one of the sweetest people.
PS: Don't forget to buy the candles she makes! I love them and they smell incredible and burn for a long time.
I come to Asheville Community Accupuncture regularly for chronic pain, predominately affecting my hands/fingers. Despite lots of testing and PT/OT, I have yet to receive a formal diagnosis. Maggie and Clancey have been so diligent and kind, asking lots of questions and offering insights as I try to put the pieces together. But above all else they have offered care, relief, a place to relax and release. Their support has been and continues to be an integral part of my healing journey. Since the pandemic started I had felt like I had fallen into a slump. Looking and searching for ways to pull myself out from it, I decided to try anything to bring me peace. One thing that felt unique to this visit was that you took quite a bit of time to hear me out and have a general understanding of who I was and what my needs were. At other places it felt like all business, get in and get out. That was a nice touch. As for the procedure itself I would say it went flawless. Thank you for your service and I just wanted to let you know it feels like now a days my mind, body and spirit feel attuned with each other.

When it comes to curing Herpes and other disease with natural herbal medicine, I trust only doc Ihionkhan an I recommend only his herbal medicine to everyone because his medicine actually cured me from Herpes.
We went for a three day session with him and it was by far the best acupuncture we have ever had. His meticulous care to detail of where we were hurting was spot on. Will never miss an opportunity to have him do acupuncture on me again.
From the first appointment, I was impressed with the time and genuine caring Zachari offers. Since working with him for the past couple of months, I’ve experienced improvement in stubborn and persistent health concerns- namely weight loss and better sleep. Initially I wanted bloodwork to supplement my Ayurvedic knowledge, but found myself somewhat reluctant to follow the facts pointing to inflammation. I wasn’t convinced I needed to follow the strict AIP (anti inflammatory protocol) diet he recommended, but now in the reintroduction phase I’m learning valuable information. As with most things, the more effort and dedication you put into the program the more you’ll get out of it. Ultimately my growth and progress is up to me, but Zachari continues to guide me with care towards my best self.
