217 Coxe Ave #10, Asheville“I read an article about this gym recently where they describe their business model as centering around community. I've been going here for six months or so, and I like it. I like it a lot. I enjoy coming here because the workouts are hard and that's what I'm looking for. I like the trainers. They help me with my form without making me feel like an idiot because I'm not doing it right -- shout out to Mark who has always been kind and helpful. But I have never felt a sense of community here. Other people don't talk to me, or make me feel included. There are people who are obviously long-timers who know each other but make no effort to reach out to new people. Someone cheered me on the other day when I had to stop running and walked -- I think it was the first time anyone had done that. I'm not sure why they bill themselves as community based. What exactly are they doing to intentionally build community?“

I have one on one classes with Nancy, who is fabulous, she is very patient and helps me with every movement. I have enjoyed every session with her. The studio is small but very nice. All the ladies are excellent instructors. Weel work taking my one on one classes.“

At 55 I am more limber and aware of how my body moves and comfortable in my own skin than I ever have been. Top notch all the way☺“

I have seen major improvement in my muscle strength and tone. The workouts are demanding and I need Abby's encouragement to press through but once a week for 15 minutes...I can do that!“

Steve takes his role seriously, constantly teaching, encouraging, and challenging everyone. He is the main reason I've finally stuck with a gym, and what I've learned from his classes has made even my solo workouts so much more effective. The entire staff is always so kind and helpful, and the gym is consistently clean.“

Davenport Rd, Asheville“Taija created a personalized workout routine that I could access through an app and use very easily to do workouts on my own time. There are instructional videos on how to do each exercise, reps and sets recommendations and it was all customized to my goals. Taija was able to create a program that works with my inconsistent schedule, meeting me where I am and helping me fit in fitness within life, work and family. I feel like I can confidently workout on my own now instead of relying on gym classes.“

I love the welcoming atmosphere and the studio is nice. They have all the equipment you could need. I like that they are taking Covid seriously and offer virtual sessions and require masks for in person sessions. The online booking is convenient for me. There is street parking available or you can park at two designated free spots next to Vortex. I highly recommend them!“

“For those of you 50+ years who have apprehension about strength training like I did: you have a home. Inspire Fitness is an inclusive, encouraging, and fun environment where you are challenged at your own pace with a cheerful, knowledgeable coach leading your journey.
After my local gym closed last fall where I religiously swam laps every week, I was at a loss of where to work out. At 69 years old, I realized swimming alone was not giving me the strength, stretching, or balance work I needed to age well. I was gifted a month’s membership at Inspire Fitness and began, with trepidation, to learn the best and safest way to incorporate those habits into my life.
I began not expecting to stick with it because I never liked strength training due to its repetitive, boring nature. But the secret is the owner and coach, Keith Wimsett. Coach Keith has been in the fitness business for more than 30 years, and Inspire has been in the Asheville area for 20 years. He specializes in clients who are there for a variety of reasons: overcoming injuries, taking fitness to the next level, or simply aging well. His sessions are fun, efficient and results-oriented.
As a lifelong athlete who has had her share of aging issues, my goal in joining was to stay mobile, independent and strong for years to come. I’m into my 6th membership month and already feel the difference in everyday energy and physical activities. I highly recommend Inspire Fitness!“
