Our 103 year old home presented Chris Curry with a challenge. He met it. He completely refinished about 1000 square feet of old hardwood flooring, with tons of nooks and crannies. Really fine detail work, very thorough, and a fair price. I highly recommend Curry flooring.
We hired Chris to refinish the hardwood floors in our 1925 West Asheville house. He did an amazing job. He did some minor repairs and replaced some wood where the floor was damaged or had holes from old radiator pipes. The repairs were flawless. He was everything we could hope for in a contractor. If you are lucky enough to have wood floors in your home, Chris should be your first and only call. If he’s booked out, you should wait for him to become available.
We had Chris refinish our 70-year old oak floors. Across all trades, it is rare to see someone approach their craft with such meticulousness, and it was clear that our high hopes were no match for his own expectations of himself. He is more artist than contractor in this way. If I could offer a downside, it would be that once you have Chris’s completed work in your own home, you will develop a keen eye for how much can go wrong when a finishing job is left in less capable hands.
