I was a client there and it's such a great place to get help if you want to stop using drugs, the people who runs the place are loving and caring, it really is a beautiful place to get off drugs.I was there for 3 months and I enjoyed everyday, I ate good,got a piece of mind,got my rest, and enjoyed shooting pool, playing basketball and of course watching movies, so if you want to stop using drugs integrity is the place to be, and trust me, you will get your integrity back.
This place and every person here was pivotal in my recovery, and I honestly dont know where I'd be without MHSD. I have been treated with nothing but genuine kindness & respect, and I always leave feeling taken care of.
Also, noone likes doctor appointments or filling prescriptions, but they are always on top of things.

Emily was kind and compassionate when dealing with personal issues. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Some doctors are wanting to.rush out the room, but Emily never made me feel like she was rushing.
I had an amazing massage therapy session with Courtnay yesterday, and I can't believe how much better my hips feel today! She really listened to what my body needed and worked out so much tension. Afterward, her new colleague Tai came in to do some assisted stretching, and it was absolutely incredible—such a great addition to the session. I felt aligned, relaxed, and energized all at once. The combination of therapeutic massage and stretching was exactly what I needed. I'm already sending my husband next week—I know he's going to love it just as much as I did. Almost everything was perfect! The lady that runs it is a total sweetheat and guided us perfectly through the ceremony. However, there was a man dressed in all black (a bouncer, I presume) he had an extremely bad energy and was crass. It did put a damper on the whole vibe of the wedding.
Without his presence, the wedding would have been perfect! Overall 4/5.

I'm currently having a difficult time finding a loctician, where I live, in Vegas. I came to NOLA to visit a friend so I decided to try to find a loctician here and found Coco on IG. Looked at her work, spoke with her and booked. I dont have wicks but I have thicker locs that I get crocheted. Coco did everything I asked of her. She was super sweet and easy to communicate with. I enjoyed the atmosphere and wish I could take her back to Vegas with me. If you are in the area or just stopping through and need your hair done allow Coco to bless your locs. I went to Casandra a few weeks ago for a curly haircut. I had not gotten my haircut in a long time - newer mom. She was absolutely fantastic. I left with a great haircut, feeling really good about how to maintain and care for my curls, and really enjoyed chatting with her throughout. She didn't judge, recommended products that were reasonably priced, and gave helpful tips. she asked questions about my lifestyle and day so she could give me a cut that would fit with that. will definitely be back!

She paused midway to ask if the arch shape looked okay before continuing. That small check made me feel more involved instead of just sitting there silently hoping for the best. My brows turned out cleaner than usual.

Today was my first expierence with Shawn at Beauty Lounge. Based on my expierence today, they have my business moving forward. Shawn was professional and warm. I showed him inspo pics and he guided me in the right direction, down to tweaking the best color that complimented my skin tone. I usually have alot of anxiety in situations like this, but that was gone as soon as I sat down in the chair. When you first walk in, you notice the calm atmosphere. No loud conversations, only the TV playing. Very clean. Shields between dryer chairs. No strong odors. My stylist, Tawana, was excellent. She thoroughly washed and conditioned my hair. And the comb-out afterwards was painless. She was very quick and efficient. I didn't feel rushed. It was a very pleasant experience. I will be back again.

My kid loves birthday parties. I like birthday parties that are easy to book. The shop and hair salon were already favorites for friends and family, so using their event space to accommodate my crafty kid’s party was a natural move. And the team members at She Comes in Peace knocked it out of the park. The kids loved it and went home with amazing headpieces. They could not have been happier, and therefore the parents were happy as well. It was a magnificent time, and I couldn’t recommend it more.

I believe a person's work is a good judge of their character, and Jason's character is not only apparent in the skill and care he puts into his haircuts — it's also apparent in the way he carries himself, treats people around him, and keeps his shop. People who are truly from New Orleans have something different about them — a kindness, an openness, an authenticity I've always appreciated. Jason is one of those people, born and raised in the Marigny/Bywater. In my opinion, he's an asset to our community, and I highly recommend his haircuts.

Went into revival grooming yesterday and I already know I definitely will be back. The service was great, the prices were reasonable, and the guys were super nice and knew what they were doing. Living between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and New Orleans it was important to find a nail salon in NOLA that I can trust to deliver great service, skilled nail techs, clean environment & properly sterilized tools when i am in NOLA. Walk-ins are welcome and they treat you like family.
I thoroughly enjoyed my deep tissue back massage. Dominika came to me and insisted on doing all the setup work herself even though I offered to help. She couldn’t have been more kind and knowledgeable with all the questions I asked (and I had plenty! Lol).
Overall it was a very soothing and relaxing experience that made for a great night’s sleep. I plan on using “Just like ours beauty” services again.

Such an unbelievably wonderful experience. Got a 50min relaxation massage as my Mother’s Day gift, which was amazing. But to make things even more amazing, when they heard my six-year-old son was disappointed he couldn’t go, they invited him to come the next morning and have a full “spa” experience. They had a drink waiting for both of us, let him get in a robe, and have a 20min massage chair experience! He was unbelievably excited.

I had a great experience at woodhouse. They offer you a choice of beverage when you arrive (the hot cinnamon tea is lovely), you relax before your appointment in the relaxation room with a hot neck pillow in a cushy robe. Cicely was my masseuse and she was incredible— a perfect amount of pressure, listened to what I needed and was so kind.

I love going to her. Always a comfortable experience! Every time I go to her I fall asleep and wake up to beautiful lashes. I can tell she pays attention to your eye shape because my lashes look like they belong to my face. She always asks questions before, during, and after to make sure you’re okay and comfortable. Although I only recently started getting my lashes done by her, I would recommend her to all my friends.

We were in town for a 40th birthday party and decided at the last minute we wanted to get our makeup done. Glynn Renee responded super quickly and arrived to our hotel right on time. She looked at the ideas we had and modified them to our face shapes and personalities. She was extremely efficient and the end result was stunning!

I sent them an email and they got back to me within 5 min confirmed our appt. Our appt was originally with Chloe but between when we booked and our appt she had left the shop so they gave us Chelsie and we were so happy with the change! She was do friendly, talked to us the whole time gave us suggestions for places to eat and drink. Highly recommend her, if I had more time here I'd get one her originals they are amazing.

I just had the most AMAZING experience at Artist Lodge getting a tattoo done by Amber. She was professional, nice, funny, and is so very talented. She put so much care into my personalized piece and designed a tattoo that felt very true to who I am and what I wanted. I was stopped at a red light in Mid City two days ago and right as the light turned green, a man got out of his Frischhertz Electric marked truck and stopped traffic to help an older female amputee get across the street. It was pouring rain and she had been waiting in her wheelchair for a while for a clear intersection. I took down a plate number in case he could get back some of the good karma he put out but I’m just glad to see someone happily take a minute of their day to help someone in need.
The electrician installed ceiling fans in three bedrooms and made sure each one was balanced correctly before finishing. One fan made a slight clicking noise afterward, and he returned the next morning to fix it without any hassle. Good communication throughout and no surprise charges added at the end of the bill.

I first called and spoke with Nicole. She was extremely helpful and listened with care as I was inquiring about a rug repair. Today I brought my rug in and was so grateful to Frank and Mike for getting it out of my car, it weighs as much as I do and they were very nice and smiling as they brought it in to be assessed. The rug is about 100 years old and has been a part of our family which includes grandkids and dogs. Frank and Maxine talked about each of the problem areas and explained how the rug can be repaired. I don't generally write positive reviews about people and companies that do work for me. Mostly negative ones when they do poor work. However, Audubon did a wonderful job painting our house. It took a while, mostly because of weather issues and because they found a lot more rotted wood than both they and I expected and that had to be addressed. Their price was fair. And when they had to adjust the price to take care of the additional rotted wood, the adjustment was fair also. Their carpenter was excellent and very friendly, as were many of their painters. And Audubon's owner was knowledgeable, easy to work with, out inspecting his people's work almost every day, and just a very nice man. I would definitely use Audubon again, and will when the time comes.

I needed a double-wall oven installed that included a cabinet modification so that the oven would fit in our current kitchen cabinet. The contractor did an excellent job in removing the old oven and installing the new one. It was impossible to find a contractor to install the oven and modify the cabinet; Nolan did both with excellent communication. I will use this company for my future re-modeling needs.

They are part of a renovation company so the salesman appeared much more informed and examined what I had, suggested maybe better layouts and explained reasoning versus the other salesman who just wanted to know what I wanted to replace so he could measure and give price. I am very sad to announce that my brother Keith Victor Kron, founder and long time CEO of Natures Greenhouse, has passed away He was apparently home when his house was engulfed in flames. We are awaiting DNA confirmation but the family has every expectation that this will only confirm what we already know as we have not heard from him since the night before the fire and he has not contacted anyone about his pets or extensive garden. Several of us had been in close contact and he was in good spirit. I personally was working together with him on a couple of projects as were several others. As you may know Keith had a very large number of plants that were a part of his business. If you would like one as a remembrance of him please let us know as we are making arrangements to donate the bulk of them to a 9th Ward non-profit. We will accept donations if you are so moved. 2 of his dogs survived and if you know them and want to house them that would be great as at this time we are unable to keep them ourselves. While Keith did not use Facebook I created this page as a memorial page so people can write about him or contact me for information regarding a memorial service.

Wind storm collapsed a palm tree on electrical lines for our property. Robert at Absolute landscaping had his ccrew in the area and was there in less than 30 minutes and safely removed the palm tree from the electrical wires and completely cleaned up all debris. Just outstanding service!

These guys are great. They don't just chop off your tree canopy. They have a plan and cut the correct limbs to make sure your trees stay healthy and grow like they're supposed to, and so they don't become a danger to your house or power lines. They talk to you about what they are going to do and ask for your input before they get started. They can even do it without messing up flowerbeds or plants/bushes under the trees. Really great work. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 5 years. I know…not good. I was so nervous that I had done long term damage to my teeth. The staff at CBD Dental saw my anxiety, my nerves, and did everything they could to make me feel as comfortable as I could. They offered me the nitrous oxide for my cleaning (thank goodness) to help me stay calm. Amanda cleaned my teeth and was incredible. She asked if I was okay many many times and distracted me by talking (while cleaning my nasty teeth). She was a rockstar.
Dr. Schmidt could also tell I was super nervous and reassured me that the cavities he found, were fixable and made a plan to get my teeth back on track. If you need a dentist and are in the New Orleans area, CBD Dental is the way to go. They are so so incredible and my teeth look a feel great.

I have gone to numerous chiropractors throughout the last decades in Wyoming, Utah and Louisiana. Now I drive 150 miles to get my neck adjusted from Dr. Rilette.I consider him to be the best Doctor I’ve ever been to! He massages it into place before he even adjusts it. FIVE STARS! I Woke Up One Morning And Randomly Was Unable to Stand or Walk Without Being in Excruciating Pain. I Seriously Considered the ER, But Based on Google Reviews Decided to Give Dr. Tony a Try. He Was Able to See Me Same Day And Instantly Resolved My Issue. Somehow I Rotated My Hip Out Of Place, But After A Few Quick Adjustments, Dr.Tony Was Able to Relieve My Pain And Restore MMe Back to My Old Self. I Can't Thank Him And His Staff Enough For Helping Me When I Was in Desperate Need.

The whole staff is very professional and care for all of your needs. I've been going there for a month and have been treated well. As for the lady below who gave them a one star because of the Anti-abortion sign, Advanced Medical center on Claiborne shares a fence with planned Parenthood. The sign on their yard may have been planted there by church members who have some kind of prayer vigil around planned Parenthood bldg from time to time

This was my first time visiting a dermatologist and it was a great experience. She took her time to analyze my skin and come up with a plan that worked for me. We discussed all of my questions and concerns and everything was explained to me. Staff is very friendly and made me feel comfortable.

Dr. H is a magician, that’s all I can say. lol. She helped to clear my acne-prone skin for good. I was skeptical initially due to there being no one there of melanated complexion. I was unsure if I could be helped, honestly. Boy, was I wrong. My skin was flawless and literally glowed after a few weeks. The receptionist was always kind and service was always professional and swift. I have since moved away and haven’t been a patient in years but my skin is still amazing to this day. She really to helped build my confidence even more and I’m forever grateful.
Dr. Lupo’s guidance and knowledge on all things regarding my face gives me the peace of mind that I am 100% in the right hands! Each visit, she assess’ my face/completion and explains exactly what I need and why! Dr. Sherman cleared the acne I've been struggling with for ten years in six months. Ten years I've been seeing a derm PA in another state, and my skin was still clogged and broken out. I finally switched and my skin is the clearest its been since I hit puberty. I did not believe that skin like this was possible for me. I could not be more thankful. Appointments rarely take more than 10 minutes, and he is always on time. I expected there to be some trial and error but honestly he looked at my skin for about thirty seconds flat and immediately knew what was wrong, and the first round of prescriptions he wrote worked perfectly.
Cash is a small miniature schnauzer. He can be nervous when he goes to the vet. This time he was very relaxed, even when he was given his medication/ shots. The staff are very friendly, attentive and welcoming. The Veterinarian was very gentle and informative. I highly recommend the practice.
We moved to New Orleans and were struggling to find a vet we liked, but we love love love the team at Lakeview.
We have two French Bulldogs which always comes with extra complications/vet bills and Dr. Goldman and Dr. Guichard are both incredibly helpful with brachycephalic dog breed specific issues. They really go the extra mile to make sure your pet is taken care of and they are also aware of avoiding extra costs.
We have done our routine care with them as well as two surgeries, can’t recommend them enough.
They are amazing, I have been going to Prytania Vet for over a decade, you cannot imagine how kind and patient they are with me every single time. They are wonderful caring vets and staff. Very compassionate care of my dear cat who died and guiding me through adopting a new kitten with every kitten health problem possible. I have seen almost every vet here and they are all excellent, the staff is extremely kind.
I'm the person that always wants to stick with one doctor (for myself as well). However, at CCVH, that is not the case. I feel confident and comfortable with each doctor. They all take the time to get to know the patient and their human and it is evident that they care. I never feel rushed and they always take the time to answer any and all questions. Whenever asked about a vet, I jump to recommend CCVH!
I’ve had the absolute privilege of my dogs being under the care of Dr. Nicole Larroque at DeSoto Park Veterinary Clinic, and I can say with full confidence that she is an exceptional veterinarian. She’s cared for all three of my French Bulldogs — Otie, Clovis, and now Dozier — each with unmatched compassion and professionalism.
Dr. Nicole only saw Otie a few times before he passed suddenly from heart failure at the age of 16. Even in those brief visits, her gentle and attentive care brought me peace during a heartbreaking time.
My second, Clovis, was under her care for several years. Every single time I opened the car door at the clinic, he would pull me straight to the entrance — tail wagging, if he had one, excited to see the staff. That kind of reaction speaks volumes about the warmth and kindness he experienced there. When Clovis was later diagnosed with lung cancer at age 16, Dr. Nicole guided me through that painful chapter with such grace and empathy. Looking back, I can honestly say I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to walk me through the journey of letting him go.
Now, I’ve begun a new chapter with my rescue pup, Dozier, who’s just a year old. He’s brought a new set of challenges, both medical and behavioral, that I’ve never faced before with any of my dogs. But once again, history repeats itself — I feel more than confident having Dr. Nicole by our side. With her and the incredible staff supporting us, I know that whatever comes up, we’re in the very best hands.
There are many great veterinarians in New Orleans — but Dr. Nicole isn’t one of them. She’s something more. She walked beside us through joy, illness, and even heartbreak. And when you combine that kind of compassion with her medical knowledge and skill, there’s no question — the spotlight belongs on her. She truly stands above the rest.

From the moment we walked into the office my girl Lana was greeted with such care and love from the staff….she felt this energy herself and with her feeling unwell for a couple weeks now….she gave happy ears and smiled at them…..then when we saw the vet he listened to me and I felt heard…..so if this is what your looking for in a vet like I do I recommend them wholeheartedly.
My partner and I recently moved from Los Angeles to Nola and needed to establish care for our senior cat, Oliver. I am so grateful we found the Cat Practice in Nola. Dr. Dodson and her team were so kind and patient! As an anxious cat parent with high expectations for his care, the Cat Practice really put my mind at ease. I can’t say enough thanks to Dr. Dodson and my vet tech, Ms. Tabitha, for being so kind and working so well with Oliver. Having a clinic dedicated to just cats truly makes a huge difference. The whole team (including the amazing front staff) were very thorough and communicative. The attention to detail and kindness ensures me that I’ve found the perfect clinic for him!
All three of our dogs go to Metairie Small Animal Hospital, and we couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. Dr. Joe, Jana, Kyle, Kaylee, and the entire team are compassionate, professional, and truly make us feel like family. Our dogs always receive exceptional care. Highly recommend! ??

We have been coming to Carrollton vet with our dog since our old vet(s) retired, after we searched for years for another amazing private vet practice. Dr Algero is caring and knowledgeable. He is patient in explaining what he believes might be going on, the tests (if any) necessary, next steps, any meds he thinks might help, side effects, etc, and always a clear explanation of why and our options. Vets like Dr Algero are the best - they only care about what's best for your pet and work with you all the way. They are walk-in only, but they are clear about that and they let you know if there's a long wait (emergency ahead of you) or other factors. Their rates are very reasonable imo. I know they treat her well and compassionately when she goes to the back with them, which is important to us. His assistants (Nester & Jerry) are involved, always gentle and greet Belle so she's never balked at going back or being handled by them. They are prompt answering their phones, return calls when they say they will and Pam at the front desk always gets me whatever documentation I need when I ask.

Dr. DeCosta was able to diagnose the root cause of my Shih-Tzu’s eye condition by conducting a thorough examination. He took his time taking detailed notes and explained the prognosis with realistic expectations. I was anxious about the cost of service only to be surprised at check-out with a reasonable bill. The location is convenient and peaceful, which can be a godsend when dealing with a sick pet. Will bE my home base for Choco’s eye health.
UPDATE: Choco's eyes continue to heal under Dr. DeCosta's care. No invasive treatment was needed; but if it had been - I'd feel comfortable trusting Dr. DeCosta with care. Professional and focused vet. His priority is the animal's comfort, and that is priceless.

The vet spent a long time with us discussing various options for our chihuahua's shedding and skin issues.

Simply the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to, and I have visited many studios all over the world. The teachers are the best, structuring the classes to include time to ground, breathe, and heal through mindful movement. The building is gorgeous, an old public library with an authentic mural, surrounded by bright windows that draw in energy and light. I’ve been coming here for 10 years since I bought my house a few blocks away, I hope many more locals and visitors are able to take a breath and nourish their lives here for many years to come.
Most wonderful hypnotherapist I’ve ever had. She’s motivating—I’m a severe depressed bipolar & if I lived near this lady & could see her often I’d get well—I swear I believe I could! I’ve never felt that way about any of my doctors or counselors. She’s freakin AWESOME!

Wonderful yoga classes for beginner and advanced! Intensive teaching, experienced yogis, comfortable for beginner, variations taught throughout, fundamentals emphasizes. The bundle comes with video library including form and fundamentals.
I've gone to two sessions and will continue. The instructor is very diligent about ensuring that each person strives to get into the correct position. The foundations class is challenging, but feasible for a beginner like me. I'll be sticking with it!

Gabriella is a ROCKSTAR!!! As a persistent newcomer to yoga, I hesitated to sign up for Gabriella's inversions class. Faced with such movement, my body, after years of lifting weights, surely wouldn't be happy about going right side up. Something would feel off. Some body part would ache. At the very least, the novelty of these inversions would fall out of fashion and passion quickly. Much to my suprise, inversions have played a role in rehabilitating my body and suring up my step. This practice WILL give you more confidence in ALL of your movements!

This was an excellent massage and I’ve had a good amount of bodywork all over the world. A nice mix of Swedish with light Thai touches; draped acupressure-type then work on different areas with oil; hot stones; warm wet cloths to wipe off the oil. Though they didn’t ask us to fill out a form beforehand they quickly checked in on areas we wanted to focus & any areas to avoid as well as asked about pressure just the right number of times. It happened to be goldilocks perfect medium pressure for me. The massage therapist seemed to have such an intuitive sense of areas to work on & areas that were more sensitive. Very professional, safe feeling & targeted. 90 minutes of bliss. I definitely snored at least once it was so relaxing and also effective. Massaging & stretching those knots out. The price was also very reasonable. I had called around a number of places that were booked -since I just thought of having us get massages on our first day here in New Orleans. Especially since we had a redeye flight and we were not going to be able to check into our accommodations until later. It was actually a perfect way to rest & restore after a garden district walking tour. I’m surprised there were no yelp reviews but happy to see the Google reviews here to support my pick. And very happy to add my review as well to substantiate that this is an excellent establishment with highly skilled massage therapists. Appears to be run by an Asian collective (family?) of massage therapists - unobtrusive, considerate and deliver a great experience. My family was satisfied.
Regan was amazing! She was kind, knowledgeable, and humorous during any awkward moments. Made me feel right at home. I will definitely ask for her again next time I come by.
The massage chairs were a bit outdated and not as comfortable as the ones I'm used to at Massage Envy. However, my husband and I had a couples massage, and Brandon and Angela did an amazing job. They were professional, attentive, and made the experience very enjoyable. The lady at the reception desk was also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, despite the chairs, the excellent service and massage therapists made for a great experience.
Absolutely awesome and 1000% recommended - I left feeling 10 years younger, relaxed and rejuvenated. The massage was totally unique: a perfect combination of massage, physiotherapy, stretching and aromatherapy. And the venue is really lovely, I felt myself relax from the moment I went through the door. I cannot wait to return!

Raymond Harris is a wonderful, professional masseuse. He came to my house and helped me with a sports injury. He charged $120 an hour which was about standard for massages in Nola at the time. Great experience, 10/10, would recommend.

Sandra is an amazing healer and offers a variety of types of massage.... Deep Tissue, Thai, Lymphatic, cupping therapy, she's got you covered. If you are struggling with an injury, have a history of being injury prone, or just in general need help with your running, then do yourself a favor and go see RT at the Stride Shop. I cannot recommend him highly enough. After years of dealing with recurring muscle and tendon injuries and undergoing various PT rehab programs, I booked an appointment with RT based on feedback from several of my running friends.
He didn’t just ask where I was hurting and focus on healing that area. He performed a full assessment of my running form, range of motion, and strength. He identified the underlying causes of my injuries and gave me a specific program of exercises to address them.
He made sure I knew how to do all the exercises correctly, and patiently answered my hundreds of nerd questions. After 3 months of consistently following his guidance I am feeling 100% and running better than I have in many years.
I was really impressed with RT. He is knowledgeable and genuine, and I would not hesitate to see him again for help with anything related to my running program.
I've had worsening chronic pain for 5 years now with no proper diagnosis or medical aid, but Dr. Joe had a spot-on diagnosis for me within 15min of seeing him for the first time! Now I can finally start getting the medical help I've so desperately been searching for these last 5 years, and I'm able to receive it next door to him in the same building! Can't recommend these people enough, I've never been listened to like this and the results are speaking for themselves.

Jimi is professional, compassionate, and understanding. If you feel like something is not working for you, communicate with him and he will adjust the acupuncture style accordingly. I originally came in for scapular dyskinesia and was receiving targeted treatments for my upper back. After a couple sessions, I felt worse and feared acupuncture wasn’t for me. Jimi suggested I try a whole body chi approach and it worked wonders. I received treatments every 4-6 weeks. Unfortunately I moved out of the city, otherwise I would still be scheduling sessions. Highly recommend!
