I got a new tattoo from Jim Couturier yesterday (Sunday 8/7/2023) while I was visiting NOLA (I'm originally from Maryland)! I walked in around 1:30 - 2 PM, and had to wait about 2 hours to actually start getting my tattoo (I personally did not mind because I know this shop is pretty popular and in a touristy area!). I verbalized to Jim what I was looking to get (a stamp of a magnolia flower with the number 28) and he took about 30 minutes to create the gorgeous tattoo! I so so so appreciate Jim's attention to detail while placing the stencil and while tattooing my leg! He made conversation with me while doing the tat, and he made me feel welcome in a new state. Would recommend downtown tattoo to anyone looking for either a tattoo or a piercing. Before arriving today I was unsure of what piercing would suit my body. Bree helped me to pick out such a perfect piece for my ear. She communicated clear expectations about the healing process and together we chose the perfect placement of this piece considering comfort and realistic long term wear of the jewelry. I truly felt like her honesty and expertise is to thank for such an incredible and supportive experience! You won’t regret giving this place a chance.
