I got hurt falling on Ice at Sheetz Gas Station 5943 Oakcross Ln, in Frederick, Md where No one put salt down on 1/18/26. Got out of My car and walked a few steps and fell.
Whole right side of my body was injured.

Alex was phenomenal, and went above and beyond for my 3-year-old son’s first haircut experience. Despite my son moving frequently, and being upset at the clippers, Alex was patient and gave him the best first experience and a haircut that looks fantastic. He showed my son each tool before using, used it on himself to show that it wouldn’t hurt, and offered to let my son hold everything first. Alex adjusted himself to my son when he wouldn’t sit still, got him tissues and a lollipop to help comfort him, and at one point even used his own cell phone to put on an episode of Bluey. Alex communicated with me throughout to ask questions and offer suggestions to adjust the haircut to my son’s tolerance, while still giving him a great haircut in the style I wanted. I’ve never had a barber in my past be so good to me, let alone my son. I can’t praise and thank Alex enough, he did awesome and my son looks great! The shop was clean, the staff were all friendly, booking online was easy, the appointment was ready on-time, and the haircut was great. Highly recommend!

The best massage therapist I’ve ever been to. As an athlete, I needed someone who truly understands and works well with active people. This isn’t just about a nice, relaxing massage—sometimes it’s not. It’s about actually helping me heal when I’m tight, not flexible, or in pain. She also does a great job coaching me on what exercises to do at home. I won’t go anywhere else.

I used The Beauty Company for my wedding hair and make-up. I had my trial and wasn't sure about my hair and make-up and Jami made me feel comfortable enough to text her and ask questions or make suggestions! I felt comfortable in the salon, and everyone was very friendly. They did hair & make up for 9 on the day of the wedding at the venue and in a short amount of time. My make up was amazing by Autumn! Everyone looked great!! Both hair and make-up lasted all day into the night for dancing. I highly recommend The Beauty Company for all hair and make-up needs.
I recently moved to Frederick and was happy to find a curly hair salon through Google. (I had a wonderful curly hair specialist in my former location and wondered if I would be able to find anyone as good.) I was very happy (and relieved!) that my experience at Donita's salon matched the expectations that she set on her website. She listened thoughtfully to my requests and comments. She worked precisely and attentively. She demonstrated her knowledge of curly hair cutting techniques and styling methods throughout the appointment. It was a wonderful salon experience (and we curly-haired women have often had salon nightmares). Donita also offered some very helpful styling tips (and sample products!) that I've used at home since then, with great results. And she's a lovely person to spend an hour-plus appointment with! 100% recommend.

If you're going to get a manicure here, choose Tara. My niece and I had the best experience. Tara uses nail polish, which is nontoxic and truly preserves your natural nails. After so many places, I finally found a place where I'm 100% satisfied with the manicure.

Booking online was a breeze. The location is easy to get to, parking is ample and a dog to welcome you there is cool too! Lisa is fantastic, only one chair and she is the woman who does the magic to your hair. I have been to multiple barbershops in Frederick and do not need to keep searching any longer. My bar is high as I have had a barber in MOCO for 15+ years. Lisa did everything I have come to expect and more when getting my haircut. This was my first time going to The Barber Shack and will definitively not be the last. Expect me and my sons there for years to come. I hope to test your tough skin theory. Until the next haircut...

Had my haircut by a gentleman named Stan. I was very pleased with the cut. I got a mohawk fade and a beard touchup. I was able to show him a picture of what I wanted and he matched it perfectly
After trying many other salons and barbershops, this is the place where my teenage son finally found the haircut and fade of his dreams. Their prices are reasonable, the shop is pretty trendy, sort of industrial. And we always laugh because they don't waste time with a lot of chitchat and small talk. In the case of my son and husband, they absolutely love that they are not pulled into awkward small talk. Don't get me wrong, they are perfectly professional and polite, but it is all business. Great shop, talented barbers, definitely recommend.

This is a well run location where the employees are sons of the friendliest around - they have a great attitude and enjoy working there.
The place is clean and the beds work like they are supposed to. I have an issue with their time restrictions on each bed and the 24 hour between tans. It would seem that as an adult if I wanted 14 minutes instead of 12 that I should be able to decide that. But this seems to be a franchise rule so don’t fault the employees who are great.

First picture is May 5th and second is May 25th. I had an amazing experience with K-Nails in Frederick. I was looking for Korean Style nails because they focus more heavily on nail care and neat designs. She also told me she was originally certified in New York before she moved here so you KNOW she’s good. It’s been 3 weeks and there’s no peeling and all my gems are still on! Most importantly, the edges between my nails and polish don’t pull my hair when I touch it :) All of this is a result of not cutting corners and solid handiwork. Thank you!!!

Ruth took the time to help me find the exact color I was seeking from an inspo photo, she was delicate and precise with my nails (my nail beds are pretty tiny by the way), she took her time ensuring my cuticles were in pristine condition before painting my nails- her attention to detail is top notch, and the cherry on top was she was just SO pleasant to speak to. The music was lovely and price for a gel mani was SO affordable/reasonable. Highly recommend. I will for sure be returning not just for my future manis/pedis, but super interested in their facials, as I’ve heard so many wonderful things about that service as well! For years I searched for the right place and finally found it. Sonja is beyond amazing with color. She is very knowledgable on the mixes. She advises based on the color for your skin tone but also on what exactly to use for your type of hair. She knows my preferences and advises me accordingly and each and every time I come out feeling like a million bucks! She does not rush her work. I appreciate the dedicated time and attention. While they relocated to Urbana, I am one of the loyal clients that drive all the way up there from Rockville/Potomac. Beyond Sonja, the staff are just amazingly welcoming and I love the creative decor. It feels like a nice escape from my regular routine.

I've been inside there and are related to 2 people that work there so There are 3 chairs if you need to sit down, there is a T.V. if you get bored a Microwave if you bring food and need to warm it up and refrigerator if you feel like you need to refrigerate a drink or something, Bathroom all in the side room there and is 4 beauty chairs you can sit in when they do your make-up or Hair and there's a room in the back wih 3 chairs if you want your hair washed and 3 if you need to dry your hair also the prices are low and they do eyelashes, eyebrows, hair, plus the front desk people are also super friendly as well but you usually have to make an appointment on the phone because the people that work there work on there own time

OMG I took off work to get a massage here. Let me tell you the experience was amazing. I had Jessica for my massage. She was fabulous. She gave me the very best massage that I ever had in my life and I’ve had lots of massages. Jessica used cupping on me and my back feels amazing. I had Nina for my facial. Nina’s facial was so relaxing I fell asleep. Let’s just say my face looks amazing. I drove 45 minutes to try this place out and let’s just say it was worth the drive and I will be back to get a massage from Jessica and a facial from Nina.

I get a facial twice yearly with Laura and she does a wonderful treatment on my aged, Sun damaged skin (we didn't know better when we were growing up). I have some sensitivities like flowers smells and I told Laura and she worked on me without one itch or sneeze from me.....she goes above and beyond in a relaxing and peaceful way. Having a facial is such a treat! I think the rate is quite reasonable. The spa is on the north side of Rosemont Avenue and there is a parking lot in the back, so driving west on Rosemont take a right on Lee Place and left onto the alley. Wear comfy clothes and don't wash your hair beforehand since you'll need to do that later in the day. Just saying. Love you, Laura!
What can I say? Just amazing! I've gotten many full body massages but none of them compared to this. I got a hand massage, reflexology, facial, and a pedicure. I've never felt so pampered. Lori is very meticulous and I felt like each toe was getting its own attention and treatment. My toes look perfect! This sounds crazy but my feet look happy lol. I was even falling asleep during the reflexology. With the facial, it felt like my face was floating off my body. I will DEFINATELY be back and will recommend to others!
Came in for the first time for the Destress Trio - lovely experience! Salon & Spa are clean, welcoming, and with luxurious touches: clean robes and sandals, relaxation area for before and after treatment with beverages, and secure storage lockers for personal belongings. The staff I met seemed genuinely warm and friendly, truly proud to provide service. The masseuse managed to ease a tension I've had in my shoulder for weeks! I've been to three different spas in Frederick for massage, and Verbena is now firmly my favorite!

I had such a positive experience with Gia at Heritage Tattoo Collective. Separate from the tattoo itself, the space was clean, open, and comfortable. Gia was so patient and gave me several options from the photos I sent her of my cat to decide which one I liked best. She was also patient when I decided placement for my tattoo. She was professional, and kind, and it was such a seamless experience. The tattoo itself is so perfect I could cry!!! It’s the perfect picture of my late soul-cat. If you need a pet portrait tattoo, I could not recommend Gia enough.

As a homeowner, I really appreciate that Atlantic Blue analyzed our well water quality and provided detailed info about hardness, sediment, pH, and bacteria. Ours was unexpectedly better than I would've thought. They changed out the quartz in our blue light and reset everything for a reasonable fee. O'Connor Plumbing was contacted due to an issue with my house plumbing that a smaller company couldn't resolve. It turned out there was / is a tree root that has broken a pipe under the house and has started growing inside the plumbing pipe.
Ken and Asher were the best. They were so professional, courteous, couthy, they explained what they were doing, and they cleaned up the mess when they were done. I am so grateful for workers like this. They've cleared a portion of the the problem with the machines and tools they had readily available. We will be scheduling for them to return to finish removing the tree root. Thanks, Ken and Asher.

Scheduled Michael and Son to check and fix a couple of items in our master bath(low water pressure from one shower head, snaking of a drain and fix a faucet) and could not be happier with results. Ryan electric was super responsive and even offered an earlier date when they had an appointment fall through; the tech JT was knowledgeable, and walked us through all of the options available; we choose to get the work done immediately and he went and got all the parts and took care of the job right then. JT then took the time to go through the electrical safety inspection and answered all of my questions. Really happy to have found this company and would recommend getting JT to come out if you have the option.
We called Brandenburg after we blew a junction box trying to install a light fixture. Mike came to the house found and fixed the multiple problems we'd caused as well as some that came with the house. He diligently searched for and finally found the missing junction box and was still efficient, affordable and friendly.

He has the BEST selection of LVP and all different kinds of hardwood. Pretty much everything is in stock which is soooooo helpful especially if you're like me and notoriously order short all the time :) They don't sell cabinets, those are my samples in the photos but they will help you select anything that you need!

He was a pleasure to work with, and did an amazing job of patiently helping us with every decision large and small including shower and floor tile types, patterns and colors, vanity and vicostone choices, shower and sink hardware types, specifications, and finishes, wall paint color, and more. He worked diligently from the demolition to the finishing phases, always staying on schedule and informing us of his progress. Jeff’s attention to detail was amazing, and he asked us to weigh in whenever there was even a minor choice or decision to be made during the process. We watched it all take shape, resulting in a beautiful new bathroom and shower space we are very pleased with. We can’t recommend Jeff highly enough!

Bucheimer remodeled our kitchen and painted most of the first floor. The kitchen looks fabulous! We're very pleased with the job, so much so that we just recently contracted them to finish our basement this spring. The contracts for both jobs laid out the plans, the scope of the work, and a timetable for inspections and payments. They completed the work in a timely fashion and the pay schedule was very reasonable. All the employees were very respectful and pleasant. We highly recommend them!

I cannot say enough about Steve Jackson at Home Guard — he is truly the BEST in the business. What started as what we thought was a simple water spot in our boys’ bedroom ceiling turned into an absolute nightmare. The moment we cut into it, hundreds of yellow jackets exploded into the room. Pure panic and chaos. (And for the record — I’m never cutting into my ceiling again.) To make matters worse, this happened on a holiday evening, when most companies won’t even answer the phone. But Steve did. And within 30 minutes, he was at our door. INCREDIBLE. For the next several hours, Steve worked tirelessly, carefully treating and eliminating a nest that held an estimated 1,000 yellow jackets. By the time he finished, what had been one of the most stressful and frightening situations was completely under control. Our home went from frantic and unsafe to calm and secure — all in the span of a few hours. Steve didn’t just do a phenomenal job technically — he was also one of the kindest, most professional people we’ve ever worked with. He went above and beyond to reassure us, explain what was happening, and make sure the job was done right. We went from panic to peace thanks to Steve. Mark has been absolutely helpful with all of the rented properties I have been at, also friends and family I have refered. I couldn’t be happier with the results I got using Chapingo Tree Service. I hired them to trim some large limbs on the perimeter of my property this summer. They did a fantastic job, were easy to work with, professional, and clearly care about the work they are doing. I chose them because after getting an estimate from Jorge Alvarez, I could tell he would be very communicative and really cares about getting things right.
He was very honest with me and we worked out a great deal. They were professional, task oriented, on time and worked to make sure the job was completed on schedule! They were very efficient, and took the time to carefully evaluate how to trim safely with minimal disturbance to existing vegetation. They worked continuously removing the limbs and immediately shredding them, as well as cleaned up completely when they were refinished.
Their work ethic and attention to detail were impressive. In this day and age, integrity and transparency mean everything. What I was promised was completely delivered and more. It is evident that Jorge and their entire team have pride in their work and put customer focus and satisfaction as their priority in everything they do.

Bartlett Tree Experts have provided us with truly great (expert) service on multiple occasions. Arborist Derek Furry knows his stuff well as he assessed the trees and plants in our yard. Most recently, at a house we just bought, we needed a badly damaged large Norway Maple removed that towered over our house and garage; it had suffered fire damage years ago and was recently struck by lightning. We also needed density reduction and disease treatment for other distressed trees. The on-site crew (Donovan, Austin, Chilly and Sease) led by the very capable Colby worked diligently and efficiently. When one enters the reception area, the greeting is friendly, personal, and professional. Having to have a lasix procedure to the gums so that a crown can be reset and then having the crown reset is not something anticipated lightly. I was reassured that all would go well, and it did. An assistant was there throughout the procedure. Dr. Wear gave the numbing injections without my seeing or feeling them. The lasix procedure was quick and painless. And, days later, the crown is in place with no side effects. I highly recommend this practice and the professionals who make good things happen....
I had my first appt with FC&FD and my experience was a 10/10! Since turning 22, I’ve been looking for a dentist that would accept my insurance and accept that I no longer can go to a pediatric dentist (I’m getting old lol). The staff there was so welcoming! The dentist got to know me and I got to know her and it was just really nice to build a relationship which is something I did not have at my pediatric dental office. The place is nice and clean!! Since seeing Dr. Cayer I had seen amazing results. The treatment plan outlined was on point and he does an amazing job with the adjustments, explaining how everything is connected. I am now in ongoing maintenance and feel great. My acid reflux has minimized, my dry eyes aren’t as dry, and believe it or not, my immune system has kicked butt this season! I escaped two rounds of illness from family and work. Highly recommend seeing Dr. Cayer for any chiropractic needs!

Dr. Steinbar got me out of a wheelchair and back to work with hot laser therapy and adjustments! My diagnosis of CRPS/RSD left me unable to walk more than a few steps at a time without severe pain and muscle spasms. I made the decision to reach out when I was quite literally at the end of my rope and lost hope of ever getting better. Within 1 month of seeing him, I was able to go back to work! If you're unsure of where to turn or if its worth it, don't be. It was the best decision of my life!
Dr. Newman is amazing! I went to a chain chiropractor place before, and it wasn't really helping. My first time with Dr. Newman, I felt like I was floating! He really takes his time talking to you so he can focus on problem areas. The tips he's given me to work on at home have also helped tremendously! I cannot recommend him enough!
I've been going to Dr. Lipinski for over a year and a half. I have arthritis in my neck and since having adjustments by him, I have no more issues with my neck!! Definitely a 5 star!!

I have seen Dr Beech for my ayurvedic pulse consultation. Such a service is very rarely offered as everything is online these days. Dr Beech was very accurate with my pulse diagnosis. He even pointed out a few things that he read from my pulse which I missed mentioning to him in my health history form. I am very happy that this treasured ayurvedic knowledge is well preserved by his practice and offered to his patients with high integrity.

Our puppy at 5 months old fractured her tibial turberosity and Skylos was the first recommended surgery clinic on the list from our vet. I am so happy we put our faith into Dr. Kennedy and the staff at Skylos, they have been nothing but wonderful and knowledgable. They always remember our pup when we’ve brought her in for rechecks since. We are 6-weeks post-op and couldn’t be happier with the results of our Regi girl’s surgery and care. They made a very stressful situation so much easier for us to manage with their guidance. Surgery isn’t something everyone can afford, so I totally recommend pet insurance! Our surgery was 5k total (including medications, follow up appts) and insurance covered 4k.

I have been with Compassion since we adopted our first dog , Ginger, 10 years ago. Since then, we adopted a 2nd, Millie, who vibed like a chill old drunken sailor. There have been many calls/texts, sick visits, medications, and consultations within that time and I can honestly say every single contact has been nothing but top notch expertise and family friendly service from everyone there.
We had to put Millie down this past November, and as expected the staff were so kind, gentle and accommodating.

Had a really great experience with Dr. Kostinas. She fit me into her busy schedule for a last minute PPE and did a very thorough check of my horse. Was pleasant and patient, answered all my questions and took her time. Got the PPE back to me in a short amount of time so I could complete my purchase. Highly recommended, very professional and the woman who scheduled the appointment was also very helpful and polite.
We brought our yorkie Reed in last week having just switched vets to see them for the first time. Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. We had to sadly put him down today, but the staff are wonderful and made us comfortable during the process. I highly recommend their office for your pet’s needs?

I was hesitant to come here a few years ago because of mixed reviews, but we are 3 years in and have only had positive experiences. Dan is my dog's current groomer and she loves him. He does a great job. The staff behind the front desk are very friendly. Prices have gone up a bit in the last few years, but I will continue to go here because of how comfortable my dog seems to be and each visit goes well! I also want to note that about a year ago my dog stepped in tree sap and it completely messed up the pad of her paw. Happy Dog made room for her in the schedule to take care of this as I expressed concern because the pad of her paw had a small tear. They cleaned and fixed her paw up flawlessly. I appreciate how kind they are to her!
Jamie was amazing with both of my dogs. She was calm and patient with my Bandit who is very skittish about baths and noise and Jamie's demeanor made Bandit calm and comfortable. He came out with a beautiful clean coat, cut and nail trim. Smokey also did great with hydrodog. It's a perfect service for pets who hate car rides. Affordable and professional.

I found this wonderful free mediation group on MeetUp and feel so lucky to have joined. Steven and Zohreh are the organizers and provide instruction before each session so it's truly a great place for beginners and advanced meditators. It's a lovely space and everyone I've met there has been kind and friendly. Truly a special gathering. I recommend giving it a try!
Aly is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and professional. she helped me address lower back pain on one side through massage that’s likely related to training jiu jitsu. she’s also trains jiu jitsu herself so she has a comprehensive understanding of how it can effect our bodies. i’d recommend anyone to Aly, she is so well rounded and can help with so much related to massage, strength training, and self defense!!

After trying a few places in the area over the years, I realized nothing compares to the level of professionalism, consistency, and genuine care that this clinic provides. What really sets them apart is that everything feels transparent and trustworthy. The therapists here aren't relying on friends or family to boost their ratings -- their reputation comes from real clients who keep returning because the quality is unmatched. Every session feels intentional, therapeutic, and grounded in actual skill, not just routine motions. The environment is clean, calming, and organized, and the staff communicates clearly from the moment you book your appointment. They take the time to listen, adjust the pressure, and focus on what your body actually needs. There's never any rushed feeling, no awkwardness, and no "assembly line" vibe like you get at so many other places. Honestly, going anywhere else feels like a waste of time. This is the only spot in Frederick where I've consistently received massages that genuinely make a difference -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Personally, I don't trust the "independent" or solo-operated setups you see around -- the ones with inconsistent communication, unclear policies, questionable reviews, and none of the structure or accountability you get in a real clinic. Too many of them rely on personal acquaintances for ratings, and the quality varies wildly. It's just not worth the risk. This clinic is the only place in Frederick where I feel completely safe, cared for, and confident in the professionalism behind every service. I won't go anywhere else -- and I genuinely don't recommend that anyone else does either.

I have only been once but so far so good. Emma was excellent. The place was clean and serene. My appointment 3.5 weeks ago was during a parade and didn’t stop my peace. I have made another appointment. I hope this will be my new spot. Sciatica in both hips and I’m not letting that stop me even for a minute.

The best massage therapist I’ve ever been to. As an athlete, I needed someone who truly understands and works well with active people. This isn’t just about a nice, relaxing massage—sometimes it’s not. It’s about actually helping me heal when I’m tight, not flexible, or in pain. She also does a great job coaching me on what exercises to do at home. I won’t go anywhere else.
What a fantastic massage! I have recurring neck, shoulder, and lower back pain from an old injury and came to see Connie for a 90-minute session. We talked through my history and I was absolutely blown away by this massage! She used techniques from multiple massage styles including compression and trigger point massage to really work through my trouble areas. I recently had a reverse total shpulder replacement, and NovaCare was recommended to me based on their expertise in working with reverse shoulder replacements, and also with patients with Ehlers Danlos, and associated hypermobility. I was specifically referred to Mark Acierno. This place is absolutely terrific, and Mark is by far the best Physical Therapist to ever treat me -- and I've been treated by more than a few over the years. My care there has been thorough, educational (I love that I'm being taught WHY to do an exercise a certain way, and how it applies outside of PT), and while I'm working hard, I'm enjoying it because the people here are all (starting at the front desk) pleasant, efficient, professional, and exceedingly competent. My surgeon at UMD called me his "superstar patient" because I'm recovering so well, and I have absolutely no doubt that it has nearly everything to do with my physical therapy care.
I have been feeling poorly for two weeks. Yesterday morning I called in to the Walkersville office to see if I could be seen as I didn’t want to go another weekend feeling so bad. Robin asked questions and set me up with a 2:00 appointment. When I arrived I was taken directly to a room and after a short wait I saw Lauren. She asked what was going on, did an examination and agreed medicine would help at this point. I am looking forward to feeling better.
I was thankful that PT and OT helped me process my recovery from pulmonary embolism for four months. I learned how to control my breath when I exercised with the right technique. Heather, the OT, and PT/PTA shared their knowledge about my case. They encouraged me not to give up on my goals. I easily got frustrated when I felt unable to do something. They kept redirecting my attention to the positive. I was very happy with my recovery progress!

Had a great experience, Tom is a great driving instructor. Very helpful, had some A+ Humor, and when I had any questions on the road he was extremely helpful and answered questions masterfully. During the 2nd day which is the parking portion, I was very nervous especially in the backing in and 3 point turn, but he made it very easy and digestible. Made it look easy and put all my worri3s away. Highway section was my first time ever being on the highway, but he showed me a good way to merge on to the highway and we did a little exercise (or maybe game..) that made it easier and took my nerves away. Showed me where he lived, and showed me in the in car driving lessons, some part of Maryland that i have never or not regularly been by. He is an overall friendly guy and bought me a treat from Dunkin Donuts for our last driving lesson. Whenever you schedule your in car driving lesson chose Tom St Clair, he is truly a great driving instructor.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the staff and instructors. My son has no interest in driving; therefore, it's a lengthy process for him to complete the training.
