Sol Yoga

I have attended the free Sol Yoga classes at 7am on Thursday mornings at Carroll Creek Outdoor Amphitheater. This is located under the white tents right on Carrol Creek. Frederick is at it's most peaceful at this time of morning as the sun quietly rises and welcomes the day. Different instructors run each of the classes and all of them are amazing. You are guided to listen to your body and work within your comfort zone. The class ends with a calming gong and flute serenade provided by local musicians. There is ample parking at this time of day. Sol Yoga is a place to gather, heal, do yoga, and find community. I've attended yoga classes, talks, and put on a few concerts there. The owner Dorcas, as well as the staff have always been accommodating and supportive. I love the feel of the "Garage Studio" which is far from a garage. It's a well lit, spacious room with good acoustics and a great ambience. I love Sol Yoga!

Sol Yoga is definitely my favorite studio in the area. The instructors are knowledgable, talented and passionate about their practice. They genuinely care about their students and are considerate of the students needs, limitations and aspirations. The studio provides a safe and welcoming environment for both members and guests. Classes are varied and scheduled at convenient times. Although I stick to in person class, there are virtual options and a large library of pre-recorded classes available on-line for members.I was hooked on Sol when I first entered the studio on Patrick Street.
