My daughter has been going to the Vine for almost a year, and she loves it. Not only is the staff very friendly, they are also held to a high standard by the owner. They are required to complete well above the Virgina state minimum for teaching courses, which is evident based on how well they teach, play, guide, and interact with the children.
The facility has a welcoming atmosphere and is cleaned daily. The staff sends multiple photos and videos everyday, which ensures you are aware of how your child's day is going. The Vine also has several optional classes and programs you can choose to sign your child up for. This gives them the flexibility to try out different activities while also continuing to build friendships with their fellow Vine classmates.
The staff is very responsive, and they typically respond to a parents message very quickly and thoughtfully. All the other families that go there are very nice too, and overall the Vine does a great job of creating a welcoming community that your child can learn and thrive in.

I have been coming to Royals for about 6 years. That staff is very friendly and Aissa is my go-to girl for braids. She has done a variety of styles on me to include: Crochet Faux Locks, Medium Box Braids, Small Box Braids, Waist Length Knotless Braids, and Goddess Braids. You name it, and she can braid it! Hilda is the Weave Guru and has done a variety of styles, including curly sew-ins and both long and Asymmetrical Bob sew-ins. She has also custom colored my weave before. They are both very fairly priced too.

It's called Gentlemen's Quarters but it offers salon, barber, nails, brows, and services for women too. I've been going for 15 years to get my eyebrows waxed by the incomparable Touria. She is masterful in her craft, taking time and precision for every brow sculpting. You'll feel like you had a rejuvinating facial. This is a great place with great service.

Absolutely fantastic professionals to work with! I did a bridal package and teeth whitening with them and looked amazing for my wedding. My spray tan artist was AMAZING! She completely understood what I meant by “winter glow” and, while I wanted color, I didn’t want to be unnaturally dark for February. We adjusted after the trial and the final one was perfection! This was my only spray tanning experience and I will be back again!

I've been following my nail tech Mark for some years now. I'm new to this location but I will go where ever my nail tech goes. lol I love having Mark as my nail tech, not only does he execute designs and shapes flawlessly, but he's very friendly, welcoming and understanding. I started going to Mark back in 2020 and we've been locked in ever since. As for the location Deluxe Nails Lounge has a relaxing ambiance and the noice level is low which I love as well.
First visit, called and asked for appointment with the Manager, I was speaking with Katie. I asked her for prices for the services I wanted before I went.. I asked for Gel polish but decided to get clear polish instead. I only called one shop so unless I didn't hear correctly the price went up 5 dollars more. Any additional service charges I'd recommend letting customers know before service.

I've been searching for a salon to get my nails done since moving to the DMV area, and I've finally found it! Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Bella did an amazing job on my dip manicure, paying great attention to detail.OMG, she's just amazing. She loves her job and is passionate about making sure everything is fine. She was great! Oh, the owner was terrific, too! I'm so happy to have found Nail Depot!
Went there first time today for dipping powder manicure. It's clean. Staff are nice. Price is affordable. It's also my first time to try dipping powder and I picked the glittering colors. Soon I realize it might not look good on my natural short nails cuz the glitters build up a small thick layer on my nails even for only two dips. But the staff tried her best to make it looks nice. The result is actually cute. However, they are using electric cuticle file and when she's trimming my cuticle it hurts a bit and I had small bleeds. She said my skin is too dry. It is true I should use hand cream more I have hangnail also given the fact she's trying so hard I feel it's fine. She ended up clean the edges really well. But I think maybe they can apply some cuticle remover to soft it up before filling.
This is my 3rd time getting my nails done with Gizel, and I cannot praise her work enough! She always correctly shapes my nail to my liking and has great recommendations for my nail color/designs. I can tell she does a great job because my nails last up to 4 weeks. She’s also very sweet and easy to talk to. I’m loving my nails! Thank you, Gizel!

I let them grow out for 3-4 weeks and trusted her to fix it after they have been plucked in the wrong way for so many time. I have a new face now, the best shape! A hidden gem in Old Town Alexandria, Aida’s spa is hands down the best place for waxing. Aida is professional, friendly, and treats every client with care for a personalized experience. I trust her services and feel comfortable with the process. The studio is also very cozy and clean. She uses both traditional wax and a natural sugar wax, which she rolls over the skin to make sure all the hair is removed. My skin felt baby soft and smooth after using this technique. Highly recommend for all skin and hair types. I will return again because I believe she's an artist in her work.

I've been coming to Madlash for years. It has been such a better experience than the lash studios I used to jump between.For one, the lashes are excellent quality and Shanna customizes your look and, for me, does amazing natural full sets. My old lash spots used poor quality lashes and glue that bothered my sensitive skin and did not last long.Also, the space is so relaxing and clean - I immediately decompress when I step inside for my lash appointment. The staff is incredibly professional - Shanna is so kind and truly cares about her clients and their satisfaction. I got my first tattoo last week with Angie. I was a little nervous about healing because of an auto-immune suppressant but she was impressive in how clean and detailed she was for me and my fiance. I am now going to get one with her at the end of the month and anytime I probably need one I'll be making an appointment with her.
Requested style: We gave her the words and she found the style. I am 6'3" and my fiance is 5'2" so we have different body space and she was great in balancing both being the same tattoo.
Cleanliness: Very clean. She used separate guns for me and my fiance and each tray was separate. She was very thorough in cleaning and I was impressed.
Not your usual tattoo shop. From the minute you walk in for your first session, you're treated like family. There's an artist for every style tattoo you can imagine. I've been going there for about two years now, and even when I run out of space for tattoos, I'll still make the trip over to hang out with everyone. I'd give 10 stars if I could.
Absolutely amazing experience and tattoo! I highly recommend getting your tattoo done here. I came in on the day of my appointment having made a mistake beforehand leading to me being unable to get my tattoo done that day and was completely accommodated by my artist. The artists are there to make you comfortable through the whole process.
First off, MST is super responsive to emails and their Instagram messages, where other shops sometimes are not.
I've had two tattoos with Faka, a few years apart, and both experiences were great. I love the feel of the shop - they have a huge door they open on nice days and it's bright and airy in there.
Faka is super attentive to the ideas you have in your brain while also considering the location and actual execution of them to ensure it looks right on your body. They also offer touch ups within a certain time period to make sure you love your piece.
My first one was on my back and pretty easy to sit through, but my second one was on my ribs and required a few quick breaks. Faka was super understanding.
My rib piece was a sentimental one and Faka focused on keeping the nature of my pop's handwriting true to his style. Thanks so much, I'll always recommend MST to my friends!

I had the absolute best experience with Lydia & Calvin from Willway Plumbing when he came to fix a nagging water pressure issue in both my bathroom sink and shower. Lydia made it easy to schedule and Calvin was prompt and professional, arriving exactly when Lydia said he would. I got text and emails reminding me of my appointment.
Calvin's expertise was immediately apparent. He listened carefully to my description of the problem and then got to work with a meticulous approach. Not only did he diagnose the low pressure efficiently, but he also explained each step of the process to me, which I greatly appreciated as it demystified the whole ordeal.

Exceptional service from no less than two, who helped with exterior faucet stem issue, after having no luck at Lowe's and Ace. They came up with a Plan B to keep faucet operational while I ordered a replacement part. Aitcheson now my go-to for plumbing matters.

I've used the Irish Plumber many times and they've always been great. They're quick to respond to inquiries and quick to come out for urgent situations. The guys are always polite and knowledgeable and fully fix whatever issue I may be having. The one time I called them out for non-emergency service (faucet replacement) they charged me half the price of the other company that I had gotten a quote from, so expect for emergency services they are also priced better than their competition. I will continue calling them for all of my plumbing needs.
Brian Overstreet and his team were extremely helpful when I came across an unfortunate situation. I bought a house with an existing leak in the main water line unknowingly. Receiving my first water bill is what lead to me investigating and determining it is likely the main water line. The issue was dealt with promptly and communication was great throughout the whole process. Brian spent a lot of time educating me and explaining the process to me over the phone and in person on the day of service. I felt completely trusting of him and his team and hope to use them for any and all plumbing issues I have going forward. They had some extra dirt leftover from excavating the site by the water meter and went out of their way to fix a part of my side yard that has had draining issues due to how it slopes towards the house. Griffin Plumbing always has provided my family excellent service at reasonable prices, with great communication from the person answering the phone to the plumbers who come to the home, usually within a day of my calling (sometimes even same day). For years I've waited to find a plumber I could count on, going through the big national advertisers and smaller ones too, being disappointed most of the time. We called them to begin with a few years ago because another plumber told us we had to pull out an entire wall to fix a drip in a bathroom faucet. Griffin came over, and replaced a small part in the faucet for less than $100--then no more drip! They've done work on the toilets, snaked the main line, snaked smaller parts of the system, fixed leaks, all promptly and efficiently. A special note to any woman considering hiring this plumber--don't hesitate! Because for once, no irritating mansplaining from these guys about your plumbing problems, just clear explanations/solutions treating you like a real person with a brain.

I am very pleased with the work done at my house. Olvin Hernandez discovered the source of the burning smell I had been experiencing. He tracked it to melting insulation wire coming into my panel box. They came out and fixed it as soon as they got the permit. I no longer have to worry about that causong a fire.

We had an electrical issue that I could not fix. Kolb Electric responded promptly to us on a Sunday morning, assigned us a technician, and that technician resolved the issue within two hours.The technician, Sean, was very thorough, polite, and knowledgeable.All in all, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would recommend Kolb Electric, and Sean for any emergency electrical issues.
Electricians arrived on time and did a fabulous job. Hired them to install 5 light fixtures and 3 dimmers. Foyer chandelier is two stories high and Staircase pendant light 12 ft high. My experience with Omar for area rug cleaning was excellent. After some research, and seeing so many bad reviews for other companies, I decided to try Omar’s rug cleaning. He was quick to respond and communicate throughout the process. It was easy to schedule the free of charge at home rug pick up. And my rugs were cleaned much faster than I thought they would be. But more importantly, Omar was knowledgeable about rugs and provided helpful information about how they would clean them and how I can take care of them going forward. I had three rugs cleaned: an 8 x 10, 4 x 6, and 3 x 6. They all came back in clean and beautiful condition and I knew that my rugs from Afghanistan and Azerbaijan were properly cared for. Apparently the 8 x 10 had over 10 lbs of dust- I could really see the difference after the cleaning! The price is what I expected for the service. I am beyond thrilled with Arlandria Floors. My original plan was to replace parquet flooring in a condo I'd just bought, but realized it would be more economical and environmentally responsible to refinish them. After getting estimates from a few places, I chose Arlandria Floors based on how detail oriented they were when we walked through the job and their professionalism. Raymond spent a lot of time with me going through options and ideas and recommendations. They weren't the cheapest, but neither were they much more expensive than the least expensive option. It was the right choice--Hector and his crew finished in 2.5 days and left the place cleaner than when they started. No dust, no mess at all. They warned me that I might have to touch up the baseboards after sanding, but they were so careful and precise that it's not necessary. The photos show before/after of the stairs, and the contrast between the dark old stain and the lovely natural color uncovered after sanding. I now love the parquet that's original to the house. Highly recommend.
Hassan is amazing. He is personable and kind. He remembers his clients. For example I purchased carpet and installation from him in 2021. It was an very reasonable price and the installation was quick and efficient. At that time I mentioned how much I liked the rug hanging in the wall behind his desk. Fast forward 3 years and my husband and I are discussing new floors. We call Hassan and he remembers my name and that I was getting married and that I loved the rug! Three years later! That being said we bought the rug and one other and will be purchasing flooring from him as well. Really this company is remarkable. Gerson was the project manager and he was truly amazing. He was proactive in communicating what was going on and coming up, so we always knew what to expect without ever having to ask. There were times when we weren't sure what we wanted or had decision fatigue, and he asked questions to understand what we hoped we'd have at the end and figure out how to get us there.

Genaro's Remodeling and Repair is the best in the business. We have an older home, with much woodwork to repair, like sills and door frames. Genaro and his team handled it all with ease. They repaired all of the wood issues, replaced 60 year-old windows as needed, completely reinstalled our patio to re-level and refit to allow for tree roots, and painted the entire exterior. You can ask Genaro anything and he gives the most professional and practical advice. His costs for services are well priced. I am so humbled and impressed by the professionalism and consideration I encountered when I contacted this company for a termite inspection. I needed a termite inspection prior to selling our house, however, our closing date was unexpectedly moved up. I desperately reached out to our current pest provider, who was unable to accommodate my request. I then reached out to the first few that popped up on my Google search, none of which could help either! I saw the high reviews for Raven Termite and Pest Control and decided to reach out. Not only could they do the inspection the very next day, but they were able to email the results to me almost immediately. The owner himself came out to do the inspection and was friendly and thorough. My only regret is that, because we are moving, we can't make them our regular pest control company.

I have been living in my home in Hume Springs for 14 years. My yard has given me such a sense of pleasure and accomplishment. As background, I moved into my home in 2010--the yard foliage was sparse (if any) and anything that was in the yard was dead had to removed. So, I started to work on the yard with various projects each year. Somehow, I found West Landscapes and used them for weekly mowing. We then started doing twice yearly clean ups in Spring and Fall we began collaborating on plantings. Chris West advised me where I should put plants, where they would grow better, etc. Last year, at the fall cleanup, Mr. West suggested we move some of my salvia and replace some plants that I put in 2010. The salvia has never looked better than it does today. Most recently, I was throwing a party and wanted my yard to look pristine. He came to my rescue the week before the party. We did the regular Spring clean-up and West recommended power washing my patio, putting sand in between the flagstone and suggested we remove some plants and replace them. We put in some heirloom roses (blue moon) which we put in the front flower bed and added some more knock out roses along my walkway. All-in-all this process has evolved to a wonderful collaboration between Chris West and me. He knows his stuff, has a wonderful staff that works with him and if anyone is looking for a great landscape company, I would recommend West Landscapes whole heartedly.

Great company, called one day and they were out here the next day to remove 4 trees. They were prompt and showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job of removing the trees and cleaning up all the debris and leaving the place looking like they weren't even there. We just had two large oaks and a smaller pine pruned of dead branches by Gusman Tree Services and our neighbor had even more extensive work performed by them including the removal of a few smaller trees. They did an excellent job for both of us and their prices were very reasonable. They were careful and neat and avoided damaging many surrounding plants. We will definitely be hiring them again for future tree work.

The initial consultation lasts about two hours and Dr. A does a full physical to see how your body is working with itself.

I want to share my experience with Dr. Ramin (male). I had an accident on Mother's Day. My whole family was going to celebrate, my 2 children, my brother-in-law with his daughter and his wife, and my friend with her daughter, in an SUV. in 495, the first day I didn’t feel so bad but the next day I couldn’t move my neck and it hurt a lot to do daily activities like: combing my hair, bending over or running, after this I was desperate, I found your clinic on google map, and I think it was a blessing to have found you since you took me step by step so that we would feel much better. First we kept appointments 3 times a week at first it was very painful but at the same time very satisfying, as we went to each therapy we felt better mobility in our body and neck, I loved it when I cracked my bones because it is a sensation of pain but at the same time relief that I can only describe with one word “it feels delicious” here he recommended a good lawyer for our case, which has been a very successful process. With my family we are much better.

We have been coming to Elpaw for 3 years now because of their quality of care for my girls. The Front Desk staff have always been friendly and super helpful. I am able to request an appointment and usually get an email or call the very next day. Dr. Yungk has gone above and beyond, with having gotten us through multiple health issues for both dogs. She continues to really listen to our concerns each visit alongside showing such love to them.
I followed Dr Fanton here from her previous practice. She has watched over my senior dog for his last years and was always caring and understanding. She was never pushy about expensive tests, procedures, or medications and even gave me cheaper alternative options. Other vets felt like they saw my senior dog as a cash cow and would push for test after test draining my wallet. My dog Kirby lived a long life until 15 years old thanks to Dr Fanton. When I decide to get another dog, I will definitely take him/her to Kingsview with Dr Fanton.

Tried out this studio as a part of class pass, and absolutely loved it! I feel like any level of yoga could be practiced at the class I went to (beginner, moderate, advanced) - because the instructor offered modifications to make the poses both easier and more challenging if needed. I had previously tried out a lagree class in California after going to pilates for a while thinking it would be cake. It was not. After I moved to Alexandria, I decided I would try out solidcore and it did not disappoint. The workouts are absolute torture, but in a good way. I'm getting my butt kicked for 50 minutes and questioning my life decisions, but I leave feeling sore and amazing. I will definitely continue taking classes here. Fortunately, I have never had a hard time with booking classes and the instructors have all been awesome and good with making corrections to help me.

Staff will happily provide detailed receipts if needed, for HSA/FSA purposes. Just ask. They provide water and tea to enjoy after your massage. They offer lots of add ons (e.g., CBD, aromatherapy) and it's worth the extra $$$. The massage tables and linens are comfortable. The rooms are dark and so relaxing. Lots of thought has been put into the little details. Highly recommend.

I started acupuncture treatments at Acupuncture in Del Ray about two years ago. I was skeptical about its benefits, but it seemed reasonable to try, as I was suffering persistent inflammation in a twice-operated joint. Within a couple of months of treatment - several weekly treatments followed by once-a-month visits - the inflammation had greatly subsided and my range of motion increased with less pain. I have kept up the treatments, which have helped me with a number of other nagging (though minor) health issues. I think now there is really something to acupuncture; if only our insurance industry would consider it worthwhile.
Lisa is knowledgeable and personable. She has always worked with me as a person and been willing to discuss health practices that can help with the benefits I am receiving from acupuncture. I am happy to have found Acupuncture in Del Ray.
Been going to Dr. Chang since the early 90's, he is the best, I have sent many of my friends there, and all have said nothing but how much better they felt after seeing him. I don't know what I am going to do once he is fully retired.
A friend's recommendation inspired me to make an appointment with Peter about a year ago. For an hour twice each month, I've been seeing him for anxiety that has been affecting my sleep, my ability to focus, and as a result, created a constant state of tension, all which ultimately affected my usual positive mindset. I like that before he begins each session, Peter asks and records how I'm feeling, what's happening in my life, and how this makes me feel. Introspection and honesty are important here as this can help Peter focus better on what's needed, and he often adjusts where he inserts needles based on these conversations. Having lived a few blocks from San Francisco's Chinatown for many years before moving to the DC area, I relied on acupuncture often to address sore or stiff muscles. But Peter is my first attempt at using it to address anxiety, which triggered the above symptoms. I believe Peter is as skilled as the much older acupuncturist who helped me in San Francisco. I noticed after a few visits with Peter, I was calmer after each session. But now, I'm delighted that I'm falling asleep during a session, wake refreshed, sleep more deeply at night, and my body is relaxed and peaceful. Partnering with Peter to restore me to a positive attitude was a smart decision.
My friend recommended Dr Chen and Dr Wei. I came in with tight shoulders, neck and back due to my frozen shoulder. The Alexandria office is located on the ground level of an apartment building. Dr Wei and Dr Chen used cupping, acupuncture and massage therapy. They are very skilled and experienced and I barely felt pain during the treatment. They made sure I was comfortable by asking how I was feeling... if I was hurting or uncomfortable. Dr Chen suggested arm exercises to help healing of the frozen shoulder. When I left the office, my tightness was mostly gone and I saw improvement in range of motion of my shoulder. I slept like a baby that night! I will continue with the treatment for my frozen shoulder which I know will take time. I highly recommend this practice.

My son did the online driving school and behind the wheel with Revo. Overall he had a great experience. The people are friendly and the services are priced better compared to other driving programs. He had Mohammed as the instructor for behind the wheel, and he was great. Very friendly and kind. We would definitely recommend Revo.

As an adult driver, Pola Driving School was everything I hoped it would be; my instructor, Gabriel, was fantastic and always did a great job with making me feel comfortable in the car, despite my nerves. At the same time, he pointed out and helped me work through my mistakes, so I knew I was learning the right way. Communication with their office was always clear and prompt as well. I can't recommend them enough!
