I got my hair cut by Leah at Mint Cuts and Color, and I'm really happy with it. They took my long hair to a short layered bob with bangs, inspired by Yves' look in her 'Soap' music video. It was a bit of an obscure reference, but they did a great job. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a fresh cut and big style change.

I have been to many nail salons and have never been more impressed! They are so meticulous. My nails have never looked better. The nail techs ask every step of the way if you’re happy with what they are doing. They are also really good about getting you in at your scheduled time unlike many other salons I have been to.

These were a fill + design, came out to about $103 including tip, which i do think is a lot since on their website an acrylic fill is $55 but again the design is a bit intense and i don’t know much about nail pricing so maybe its a good price.

Quick response and allow walk-in fast. We had 4 people who wanted to have manicures and pedicures within 20 minutes. They accommodated us right away. Easy check in and friendly staffs. The only thing is a little bit pricy for us but we were happy and pampered.
Honestly life changing!! This was my second lash lift and tint, and I’m absolutely obsessed. Mala does a phenomenal job, my natural lashes look so good that I never even need mascara anymore. Her studio is spotless, and she’s incredibly professional and detail-oriented. Highly recommend!

Phenix Salon is a nice building. Inside entrance is nice & welcoming. Love the water feature on the wall when you first walk in. The place offers people to open their own salons within the building which is great. So they have many different businesses inside that all are salons, barbers, massage, eyebrow & maybe facials 2. I have been getting my hair done @ My Studio inside Phenix for several years & have been following Dale for 30+ years. Unfortunately he is leaving the Phenix building this month & moving My Studio to Monona Dr. but I highly recommend checking out some of the other businesses inside Phenix Salon Suites. I have not personally tryed any of them but they seem to be good businesses. Otherwise look up My Studio on Monona Dr. for a great hair salon.
For the past 3 years I’ve had such a great experience getting my lashes done! Cece is ALWAYS professional, gentle, and really pays attention to detail. My lashes came out perfect — full, fluffy, and without feeling heavy. The space is always super clean and relaxing, and she makes sure Im comfortable the whole time. I’ve gotten so many compliments already! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality lash work.

The space was beautiful. The staff were really welcoming, pleasant, and pretty helpful. The facilities were clean. We did the hydrotherapy retreat. Someone greeted us with tea after we got changed, and we waited in the lounge until our appointment time. While the lounge was comfortable and really nicely appointed, I don't think that I would pay an add--on cost to extend my time in the space. The steam and hot saunas were really nice, and I liked that you can reserve it to use privately. An hour is quite long. It would be great if they had a 45 minute price option. This is super specific, but it seemed strange they didn't have handles on both sides of the doors in the steam sauna. While I knew this when booking. I was very surprised that the rate per person is the same for using the space. If you are reserving it for a set time, there should be a discounted rate for additional people. We were glad we went, but I think they could definitely make it more affordable for couples or groups while still charging extra for the cleaning and washing of the additional towels and robes.

I initially booked a facial through Class Pass and I’m so happy I took the leap. Latia is a true professional and provides top notch service. I booked a dermaplane facial. When I arrived, she was ready and waiting. She gave me an overview of what to expect, we went over my current skincare routine, and she did a skin analysis. She offers complimentary soft drinks, which is another plus. My facial was so relaxing, I fell asleep. My skin was smooth and glowing immediately after. After the visit, Latia will send you after care instructions as well as you skin analysis and recommendations for how to maximize current products and incorporate a few other necessary steps to meet your goals. She even went the extra mile and reached out a week later to see how my skin was doing. I’ve already booked my next appointment. Her prices are affordable, she’s a black woman with her own business and she is on a mission to make skin care accessible for all. I highly recommend Latia, and plan to continue to visit for regular facials and to discuss some chemical peels moving forward.

My tattoo artist is always super nice and totally cool with my changes. I’m not much of a chatterbox when getting tattooed, so I prefer to throw on some headphones and zone out from the pain. My artist is cool with that, which is awesome. I’m like a statue in that chair – I don't move and I power through the pain. My tattoos always heal wonderfully, and I leave happy every time.

We had a sewer back-up on Saturday. I called and within an hour he was at our house. Some are saying it was expensive, but I have to say, researching prices, he was below the average, and didn't try to up-sell us on anything. Further, maintenance fees were also under average for the area and he gave us some hints on how to help reduce the problem from happening again. Overall very happy and his customer service was above and beyond. Can't be happier.

Worked with Joe to upgrade our service and install a new panel. He was super responsive, and provided both solid advice and a fair price. Our work required coordination with the utility, and he was always proactive about making sure that was happening. Work was done on time, exceeded our expectations, and came in right on budget. If you need knob and tube upgraded to code (or just normal outlets and light switches...), Harmony is the group to work with! They know what they're doing and did a great job replacing our entire house. They are honest and also well priced in comparison to the other quotes we got. They did a nice job overall. My one complaint is that they left a decent amount of scraps from the electrical work done in our basement, but they were very tidy in the rest of our house, so I'm not bothered. I would hire them again for this work in a heartbeat.
Helping Hands is great! They gave me a very useful and reasonably priced range of proposals for repairing and upgrading a large number of dimmer switches to accommodate LED bulbs. They performed the work well, on time, and on a split schedule for our convenience. Excellent service!

He's great to work with, incredibly knowledgeable, and skilled at what he does. If you have an older home with potentially complicated electrical work, these are your guys. Northside's prices are also very reasonable.
Dan has done work for us numerous times over the years and he always has good quality and reasonable pricing. Off the top of my head, 4 ceiling fans, numerous new outlets, 5 interior light fixture swaps, exterior light replacements, installed shop lighting, kitchen vent hood, bathroom exhaust fans. It's great that each time I can just call him out to do a bunch of work and not have to get 3 estimates every time or worry about over paying for poor work. Dan has helped us figure things out too, sometimes the ideal option isn't the most cost effective and it's good to have options. I recommend him to all my friends when they mention needing electrical work done and have had them thank me for it.

We had a wonderful experience with Hill Electric. After another company stood us up, Hill got us on the schedule quickly. Shane arrived on time, early in the morning, and worked incredibly skillfully and efficiently on a task that turned out to be much more involved than initially expected. I have a Schlage 9691T key fob for my apartment in Miami, Florida, and I couldn’t find anyone locally who could duplicate it. After some research, I found CloneMyKey on Google and decided to reach out. I exchanged a few emails with a representative, who was very helpful and answered all my questions.

This is the second time we have used Premier Rug Washing. We had a wool rug that needed repair and cleaning. Can’t even tell where the runs were. Stains all gone from our puppy. So we called Trent again for two rugs. One had wine spilled on it and the other rug had stains from our dog. The rugs came back bright and clean. Can’t tell where stains were on either rug. Jared and his team did a great job. The consultation was thorough and very informative for people who’ve never gotten floors replaced before. They were in and out in no time and got in to replace the carpet in just over a week. Price was competitive and all the services included (finding matching trim, getting a door trimmed down if need be) were nice to have!
We're so impressed with Imperial Wood Floors and our newly refinished hardwood floor. They were easy to communicate with, on time exactly as scheduled, efficient, and careful about hanging plastic sheets to protect personal items. Furthermore, we're thankful that Jeff came out to give me a quote and suggested we go with the clear varnish rather than stain, so the wood would look lighter than our amber-colored cabinets. This was huge because I called another Madison company for a quote, and they gave me a price for the regular stain without coming out to see the house first, and it would've been totally the wrong color. Finally, our floor had been scratched, stained, faded, and neglected for twenty years, and now it looks absolutely brand-new and gorgeous. Definitely recommend these guys and will be calling them again in the future.

My partner and I went here to pick up bona products for our floor DIY. The customer service is OUTSTANDING! Not only did they help us select the right products, the color and finish that we’d like, they also gave us a tutorial on how to best apply the products.
As a first time DIY it was a little daunting and these guys showed us how to make it easy!
We ended up with no splotching or discoloration and did a roughly 800 sq ft area. Also prices were reasonable and they let us return the extra unopened product we had bought just in case!
Our entire first floor was hardwood, aside from the kitchen floor tile. Madison Hardwood Floors refinished the original hardwoods and installed new hardwoods in the kitchen. They worked the new floors in seamlessly, so you can't tell where the original floors end and new floors begin. We are so happy with how our floors turned out. I cannot speak highly enough of Dahlia. Between Alycia's eye for design and Jesse's contractor skills, my wife and I couldn't be happier with our recent upstairs remodel. We reached out to several companies before Dahlia, seeking ideas for how we could change the layout for our clunky primary suite. All of the companies supplied very surface level feedback with little inspiration. Then we reached out to Dahlia. Alycia and Jesse came up with an amazing plan that really improved the use of our space, and when we hired them to perform the work, the follow-through was tremendous. They gave us a timeline up front, letting us know exactly what work would be done on which days over a three-month span. Sure enough, they hit every deadline (or finished early). Additionally, as we chatted with some of the subcontractors, they, too, had nothing but praise for Alycia and Jesse, commending them for being so amazing to work with. In short, before the primary suite was finished, my wife and I were already thinking ahead for the next renovation project that we'll be hiring Dahlia to tackle. This past spring, SCS Building and Remodeling completed a large screen porch to replace the deck on the back of our house. They were very easy to work with and receptive to any ideas or changes. They’re honest and meticulous and obviously take great pride in their workmanship. The screen porch is beautiful, and we use it almost every day.
We also had them repair our front screen door, and last week a crew did a great job repairing a leak in our garage roof. They arrived on time and finished the job in a timely manner. Several years ago, they repaired some drywall water damage in our basement.

There's so many great things about Heartwood, first of which is they didn't pressure me for a review during or after service. It was never a consideration. They let the work speak for itself.
I didn't realize it at the time, but 2 of my 3 service dates were with the co-owners themselves which I found really refreshing. They didn't make a big deal out of it. The first was with Garrett, who took the time to discuss the different options I had for tree care. He actually measured the tree (not guesstimated like other people had) and we talked about pruning or replacement options. I appreciated his suggestions and went with a red maple. He sent an estimate that was on par with others I had. The last was with Brent, who planted the tree himself and answered the many questions I had. He was patient and kind. And he even replaced the brick wall around the tree site in question. I really appreciated that, as I have a back injury that would've made it difficult to do on my own.
There was some rescheduling, and for a moment they were out of stock on the tree I had ordered, but Brent was able to resolve the issue and source one for me. It's absolutely gorgeous. He took the time to explain how to care for the new tree and that they will follow up in the years to come. The company was highly responsive from giving me the quote to sending me the invoice. They are consummate professionals and I can't recommend them highly enough.
Wow! Evan and his crew just did a fantastic job removing two trees that were hanging over our and our neighbor's houses and were rotting at their roots. The team arrived on time, worked safely and quickly in a tight space between two houses, and performed all of the activities on their bid in less than the estimated time.

I was very impressed with the work they did for me which included tree removal, taking out 6 bushes and trimming very tall trees. They always cleaned up any shrubbery or residue before they left the work site. I would highly recommend them and would call upon them next time I need their services.
Our neighbor hired Stephenson to trim three very old trees that had a lot of dead limbs and branches. We let them drive into our backyard for access and safety. The crew were very respectful of our property and of us. We have a plastic drain cover that they put cones around to ensure they didn't drive over. They were great to work with. Our neighbor was very happy with the service and price.
We were concerned about a large and beautiful tree in our yard that had lost a couple of branches. We have not been sure how to best care for it since we moved into our home some years ago, and wanted to get a professional opinion on the health of the tree/a ongoing care plan for it.

The best children's dental clinic in the Madison area. Receptionists are very courteous and quick. Dr Smyth is extremely patient with kiddos who have trouble with the dentist. "Wendy is a gem" is what the person that referred me said about her and I couldn't agree more. I did something to my neck and had bouts of shooting pain starting in my neck for over a year. I did 6 months of physical therapy, massages, stretching, acupuncture, anything I could try to make it better! It all helped slightly but never went away. After talking through my history and checking things out, it was gone in a matter of 5 min with her adjustment! I had a bad experience with a chiropractor in the past and was hesitant but I agree that Wendy's much more gentle in her adjustment and I'm so happy I gave it a shot.

She came to our home and was so sweet, soft-spoken, and incredibly gentle with Louie. The love, respect, and compassion she showed him — and us — made the entire process as peaceful as it could possibly be. It was clear she genuinely cares about the pets and families she serves.
Dr. Carrie also has an amazing setup and incredible support system in place even after that day. She sent a thoughtful “how to handle grief” email filled with helpful resources — book recommendations for both children and adults, audio options, support groups, and even one-on-one support from her colleague who is certified in pet loss grief support, euthanasia, and pet hospice.
Her services are truly the whole package, from beginning to end. We are so grateful for her compassion, her kindness, and the dignity she gave Louie in his final moments. I can’t recommend Dr. Carrie Donahue and Full Circle highly enough.

Went to Dr. Jenny at Healthy Pet Vet Clinic. I had to put my cat down, and her and her team were so great. They were kind, empathetic, gentle, caring, and so supportive. I have never loved a clinic and veterinarian so much. I will be going there for all of my future vet needs. It is also a very reasonably priced place, 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Lynne has been seeing Millie for a few years now. Miss Millie had ear mites as a rescued kitten and some congestion. I was mostly interested in preventative care, keeping Millie healthy and happy for as long as possible. Most recently Millie was very phlegmy and Lynne cleared her sinuses in a way I didn’t know was possible! She had no phlegm or gurgles after one treatment! We love Dr. Lynne, her office is welcoming, she’s skilled and professional. Millie & I are grateful for her presence and her care!

I honestly can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Eastside Vet Clinic sooner. My wife and I have been bringing our pets to Joe and Chris for 14 years now. Over that time, they’ve cared for three of our dogs with consistent compassion, understanding, and professionalism.
They truly go above and beyond for their clients. One time, they even saved a trip for us by squeezing in a last-minute vaccination after we realized our pup’s immunizations expired just days before boarding. They are simply fantastic! If you’re on the far east side, you won't find a better vet!
UW vet school is the best, and i say this as someone that experienced a tragedy there. Our sweet rescue girl had taken a fall and been limping and lethargic for a month. We took her to our family’s vet who took xrays, did an exam, told us it looked like a torn ACL, and referred us to a very expensive specialist. I decided to make the 2 hour drive to the UW vet school instead. They got my girl in early and going by the xrays our family vet sent told us it was probably cancer and poor xray technique. They took one more and low and behold my sweet old ladies hip had been completely dissolved by extremely aggressive cancer. I cant thank UW vet school enough for, not only, telling me and showing me exactly what was going on, but also for giving me some time to grieve. My sweet girl is across the bridge now and out of pain. Our little friends just dont know how to tell us that they are pain the way we do. Thank you, again, UW vet school though i lost my shadow of a dog i gained a lot of faith in the vet school and especially the orthopedic dept.

I love inner fire yoga! I have tried a few other studios, but nothing comes close to IFY! I feel welcomed, accepted, and inspired each time I visit.
It's been a while since I've attended any yoga classes anywhere, but many years ago I suffered a knee injury while snowboarding, and once I as able to walk again I found the best things for getting my body back into balance were light swimming/walking in a lake or pool, ankle weights for strengthening my leg muscles, and yoga at InfiniteFlow with Kiro. The space in calm and inviting, Kiro is very knowledgeable and kind, and his more gentler style of flow yoga was perfect for what I needed at that time as apposed to a hot yoga or faster flow yoga. Kiro has been teaching for quite a while, and his experience is reflected in his yoga classes. I highly recommend his classes for both those just getting into yoga and those more experienced!
My partner and I have been doing the introductory month and have explored many of the classes perennial has to offer.
All of the instructors are genuine and kind human beings who create a safe and welcoming environment to begin practicing yoga at whatever level you're coming in with.
So far, we've taken advantage of yin classes, flow (gentle and higher intensity rejuvenate), and a restore + nindra class at their Fitchburg location.
If I could change one thing, I'd love to see some of the more mental wellness/meditative focused classes come to the Garver location vs. Just being at Fitchburg. It's a bit of a drive for me, which makes it harder to take advantage of.
Taylor teaches great classes and is good at pushing us through the hard parts.
Love love love this studio and community! Several years ago I added weekly private sessions to my exercise routine and it has been literally life-changing! My core strength & flexibility have improved dramatically despite getting older. And discovering the mind-body connection has given me a deep appreciation for what my body can do!! i really enjoyed my workout here. i did the starter class which i highly recommend for newbies. its a great core workout and fun atmosphere. instructor was super understanding and gave movement adjustments for people with different pains (ex. back or shoulder pain).
Al has created a safe space for serenity & relaxation and I am very grateful for the welcoming experience he provides at each visit.
Saw Bethany for a relaxing 60 minute massage. She was excellent in pro-actively telling me to let her know if the pressure she was using was what I wanted. Throughout the massage she was able to take my feedback. I went in with a headache and came out without one. It doesn't get any better than that.
I received a medical lymphatic drainage massage from Ivonne and it was phenomenal she was very attention to detail and explained everything thoroughly as she was massaging. I felt very comfortable and more importantly felt my body flushing out. Thank you Ivonne

I have received Bodywork from some of the best, Tanouye Tenshin Rotaishi, Yokoyama Roshi, Dub Leigh and Audry Nakamura. Their methods vary, yet their underlying essence of ability to facilitate healing powerfully is unmatched. Alex comes from the same tradition of energy, or Kiai or Mana 1st. At the same time his technology is detailed and precise, and without question effective. i would not hesitate for a second to be under his hands when needed.

Laura N. is my go-to at Unfurl! Besides some massages and body work from chronic back pain and over-worked muscles, Laura has used a new technique called Nasal Release. I have been a mouth breather my whole life and she informed me of the negatives of mouth breathing. I read a book that she recommended and proceeded to see an ENT just to see what he saw as far as the structure of my nose. He rated a deviated septum 7/10, 1 being the best. Of course he suggested surgery right away and gave no other options like most traditional doctors do. Then Laura, being wonderful, learned this Nasal Release technique. It has changed my life! I had about 5 sessions with her in a span of 2 months and haven’t had one in 3 months because I haven’t needed one! I can breathe evenly through both nostrils! Thank you Laura!

When I started coming to see Samee I had pain in my leg that never seemed to quit. Our giant schnauzer pulls when we walk him and apparently it had taken a toll on my leg. I have been seeing her on a regular basis for several months for leg work. I'm pain free in my leg and can finally get a good night's sleep. So thankful that I listened to my coworkers and booked an appointment!!!
I went to Robb for the first time last week. He is fantastic! He was great at communicating the process as well as giving me tidbits of knowledge about why certain muscles and areas were sore and stressed. The intake process was also thorough, with Robb making sure he knew of any injuries or areas to avoid. My upper back and neck have been feeling much better since the massage.

I’ve worked with Spencer and Taylor and I highly recommend both! They helped me to continue running despite minor injuries and to correct muscle imbalances to keep me healthy through multiple training cycles.
To make a very long story short, over about a 5 year span I had a simple slip and fall and broke my back, ~2 years later stepped in a flooded pothole and broke my hip, had post surgical drug complications that caused me to collapse and break my femur. My former PCP ordered only token PT . He deemed me "ineligible" for intensive PT, providing no explanation whatsoever. My employer's health insurance helped me find a new PCP and Integrated Physical Therapy. Thanks to Michael Griggs at Integrated PT what could have been a disaster turned into recovery. I will always have chronic pain but Michael has me back up and functioning beyond all expectations. He knows how and when to push and he knows when to pull back, it's as simple as that. I have had my knees injected. Before the injections I was in a lot of pain I couldn't sit for long or stand with out my knees hurting. After the injections I walk with no pain and sit,stand. I can even run again. This is the best thing to happen to me.
