I came in with a bad haircut from another place, and the owner immediately knew what he was doing. He didn’t try to explain a lot, just got to work, was very thorough, and completely fixed it. After the wash he went back in to adjust everything again and make sure it looked exactly right. My style looks dramatically better now, and the price was very reasonable, especially with the wash included. I’ll definitely be back.

Reply changed my life! I was finally treated for unexplained infertility at the root cause. Made an appointment for a last minute birthday trim and was grateful to see that Skye had an opening since I was previously her client at the salon's former location. I remembered how much I loved my cut then, along with how knowledgeable Skye is with all things hair, how friendly she is with sharing that wealth of knowledge, and how how her skills ultimately show for it! I had an unexpected commitment scheduled right after the appointment, and I SO appreciated Skye being accommodating and understanding - literally going turbo speed WITHOUT compromising the quality of the cut, and still being able to chat about my hair, and other non-hair related topics. While Skye surely channeled some additional Leo/fabulous energy for today's birthday cut, what I love the most is that I felt treated the same at my last appointment over four years ago. Love my new highlights done by Gabby! I had a bad experience somewhere else a couple of years ago and was a bit nervous. I purposely chose Gabby because I saw she has curls and highlights herself! She definitely knows her stuff and got the highlights the EXACT shade I showed her in a photo and did it low & slow so my curls aren’t damaged at all! I’ve definitely found my spot!
I saw Kirby last month for a haircut and she gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating! I'm somewhere between 2C and 3A waves and curls and she cut it using techniques no other stylist I've seen in this area uses that actually delivers results! I use product only occasionally now, just a little oil sometimes. I can let it air dry without it looking like it's out of control. So many other stylists have basically ignored my curls, straightened my hair, and sent me on my way. Not so with Kirby! She's a natural conversationalist too ? I will definitely be back and can't recommend her highly enough!

I went to Sunny to get my haircut and it was fantastic slight layer and U-shape. I feel much lighter after my haircut! She introduced me to her friend Sunny where I did my eyelashes perm and microblading! The natural feeling of the eyelashes and the curl was so good and long lasting, totally get my point of no-makeup look. She is very nice and gentle. Good price and worth to try!!

Ali is an amazing guy. When I arrived to my appointment, he was preoccupied with a phone call for a bit, around 15 minutes. However, after he finished my cut, he completely refunded it for me and apologized for the inconvenience. I’ve never had a barber exhibit such courtesy and empathy—he did it without even letting me know. What a stand-up guy, I’d definitely recommend you give him a visit!

Not sure where to start. I haven't visited a hair salon in over 15+years, because I normally do my own thing with my hair, not having much confidence in anyone. However, I needed my hair cut and style, so I started surfing the internet, and came across Black Pearl. The reviews did it for me, so I decided to give Ms Tina a shot at it. I went there with a very open mind, hoping for the best, but at the same time expecting anything. Let me tell you, Ms Tina was amazing in every sense of the word. She was very warm and inviting, very knowledgeable in her field. She works magic with her hands. To say the least I was very impressed the way she handled her skill. What an awesome hair stylist with a great personality. To crown it off she did a lot of teaching, educating me on my hair type and the products that would work best. I received so many compliments on my hair cut from family members, friends and strangers alike. I am so excited, experimenting with different styles and just loving it all the way. I recently moved to Durham and knew that I needed a new hairstylist. I found Tiffany at the recommendation of a family member. We had an initial consultation to discuss my hair concerns and Tiffany was very attentive and knowledgeable. I'm leery about who I allow to do my hair but I had a feeling she was someone I'd be able to trust with my crown and I was right. My hair had been through some changes and while it wasn't majorly damaged, it was in need of some TLC and Tiffany provided that. She took the time to listen to my concerns and desires but also offered suggestions based on her expertise. Within 3 months of going every other week, I noticed a vast improvement in both the condition as well as the length of my hair. I came to her relaxed but I expressed that I eventually want to get blonde streaks so she is putting me on a plan to safely transition my hair from relaxed to natural and black to blonde. I am so glad that I found Tiffany. She is easy to talk to and knows her stuff when it comes to hair. Her shop is clean and well decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. Man. This was just the best experience I have ever had. Even though this was my first tattoo, I have been into multiple tattoo shops (for piercings, which they do not do, which is perfectly fine), and this was the BEST environment I have ever been in. I usually find tattoo shops can be abrasive and kind of scary (I am a newbie so this is probably just me), but Kings Ave was the opposite. Knowing it was my first, they offered me coffee, water, and multiple breaks. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Logan, my artist, did a CLEAN job. I have gotten SO many compliments on my tattoo from random people and friends, and I have only had it for three days. There were other artists there also, and they were great too. Could not recommend Sacred Mandala enough. I worked with the artist Alan Lott and he did an incredible job. He was extremely easy to work with and to bounce ideas off of. I really liked how he would explain the process and why he thought something would work or not. I had sessions in both of their studios they were both very clean and organized. More people that I expected have asked where I got it done and who the artist was. Alan is a master at sacred geometry.
Alexis was very easy to work with. I like the work but for what I got was very over priced. Wasn't expecting to spend $130 including tip. It was to expensive for three words and a purple ?. Next time I'll make sure I ask for price first uhh! This was not worth $130. When they see this, I hope they offer me something for over charging me. At least let me get half my money back.
Update: Went back to the shop and was accommodated and was able to touch up my tat and was satisfied with how they handled the issue.

This is my second time getting a tattoo here. 1st one was done by Charlie and my 2nd was done by Nick. Both were super friendly, artistic, and professional. Mavis & Lucas at the front desk are super awesome and informative. There’s a good vibe there, like everyone seems to work well together and support one another. Shop was clean and neat, and there’s ton of amazing art and knick-knack decor to keep you occupied while getting tattooed. I’ll most likely be returning!

Ryan did a great job on fixing a broken cpvc pipe at my washing machine hookup. Called late morning and Ryan was here by 3pm. Worked until the job was done (about 6), checked my water pressure and gave me advise on how to avoid futre leaks. Highly recommend!
I requested an estimate for a direct water heater replacement and an estimate for going to a tankless water heater. Mr. Overrated came out last Friday and looked at everything and told me I would have the estimate late Sunday. I got a text notification that the work with Bar D has been finished on Wednesday. I responded that I was still waiting on the estimates. Jimmy D. The owner responded that he was addressing the situation. I received the estimate for the tankless shortly after this. I'm still waiting for the tank water heater replacement estimate and reminded them of that. It's now the next Friday and still no response. I liked the tankless estimate, but we just haven't decided which way we want to go. This lack of follow through isn't helping.
I have received the estimate that I was waiting for, and have updated my review to 4 stars.
I have 1 more company coming out next Friday for the last of 3 estimates before I make a decision. I want to thank Bar D Plumbing for being responsive on the weekend, which tells me that they are quick to resolve issues guarantee their clint is satisfied.

Excellent service at excellent prices! We have used A&S Appliance Repair before. Recently, Floyd Spell, the owner, squeezed us in between appointments. Floyd was professional, extremely knowledgeable about refrigerators, pleasant and polite. He quickly determined that our coils had frozen due to a clogged drain. He made the necessary repairs and also replaced (for free!) a small, unrelated tube that looked a little frayed. Floyd stayed to confirm that the problem had been fixed. T&C responded promptly to a pressing need to repair our failing refrigerator. On Thursday Terry diagnosed the problem; on Friday the office staff ordered the part; and on Sunday they called to schedule the service on Monday. The service was completed and the refrigerator restored to working order, and Terry even adjusted the door so it was properly aligned. I'm very happy with the result.
Mr. Stewart, the company's president stepped out of his office as I was awaiting someone to speak with about a part for my new oven no tech was able to locate. Frustrated and w/o an oven for 7 weeks, I asked if he might have ideas, even though I never bought anything from this store. This friendly man expressed concern, and went out of his way to track down a supplier with his national connections. I had the part in a week. Next time I shop for an appliance, this is where I will do business. This was just an act of goodwill, for which he had no reason to go out of his way.
Called in to get replacement keys and remote for my car after losing my only set, and in less than 24 hours AJ was handing me two new working remotes/keys. Courteous, professional, and fast; could not recommend more. Everything went so smoothly that it turned what had initially been a very stressful situation into something I felt silly even having worried about at all.
Such a great experience with A-1 Lock & Safe! The ignition lock cylinder on my 2010 Honda Fit was broken and my regular mechanic didn't have the tools to fix it. The dealership quoted me $1500 to replace the part, but Matt at A-1 was able to rebuild the ignition switch in under 2 hours for $275. So grateful that I found them!

The other windows offered little challenge, however, the one surrounded by a stone façade uncovered years of wall damage that the initial faulty installation had created.

The staff at Sands and Soils, from my first contact requesting a mulch plus delivery quote to the delivery just accomplished, have treated me with good will, courtesy, professionalism, and skill. The phone contact person was knowledgeable and clear from start to finish, even keeping me apprised of the delivery progress; the cost of the mulch and delivery was more affordable than any I have found elsewhere; the driver was able and willing to drop the product on the very spot I'd prepared for it; and the mulch itself is exactly as described and smells rich and earthy clean. Dr Byrd is quite literally the kindest dentist we have ever seen. She made both of my daughters very comfortable and at ease, as well as myself. For about 20 years I had severe lower back pain. No one knew why the pain continued for so long. One day I visited South Square Chiropractic and Dr. Palumbo reminded me that my wallet needed to be remove from my hip pocket. The job I had at the time I sit on my wallet for over 20 years, so my lower back was severely out of alignment. Dr. Palumbo started therapy on my lower back, my back has been aligned, and Dr. Palumbo continue to do monthly adjustments for preventive maintenance.
Dr. Rob is amazing and great at communicating. I was recently in a wreck, he helped me find a great attorney and my back felt a lot better from the first visit. On top of that, this establishment has great customer service.

I had low back/pelvic pain that gradually worsened over a two-year period. It was a burning and aching type pain that caused me constant pain which intensified at night, keeping me from sleeping. I tried two Chiropractors who were not able to help me, and I also told my Rheumatologist about the pain. He gave me prescription anti-inflammatory meds that did not help. I finally found Dr. Nall. I saw one of his videos on Facebook where he was discussing SI joint pain and misalignments. I went to him in October 2024, and he discovered my Si joint was misaligned (out flair). He worked on me once a week and gave me some simple exercises to do at home and I have been pain-free for about 3 weeks now, February 2025. I am so thankful I found Dr. Nall!
Dr P is just amazing during pregnancy, and has also helped a ton with my back and a lot of other post-baby issues, despite the fact that I don’t actually do a lot of stuff he recommends at home (he’s very non-judgmental about that).
My husband had an intense back pain as well, went to Dr P, got it completely fixed in two sessions and by religiously doing exercises he recommended. So he’s great and really knows what he’s doing!

30 years ago, I had a serious back injury as the result of awkwardly hefting crates of student notebooks into the bed of my pickup. I was referred to Dr. Krasnov, who carefully assessed the injury, treated it through various modalities, and healed it up perfectly. Fast-forward to 2025, and I’ve returned to this incredible practice for help with a different kind of back strain. Did I make a point of locating THIS particular practice after a 30-year absence? I’m very thankful to have met Dr. Pirigyi. Before my first appointment with him, I had already seen a physical therapist and sports doctor and my condition wasn’t improving. I’ve been working with Dr. Pirigyi for two years now and have been getting the treatment that I was looking for. He was able to accurately diagnose my injury (ulnar nerve entrapment and golfer’s elbow) and provide recommendations on additional doctors to see once it was clear that more invasive measures were needed. After surgery I have continued to work with Dr. Pirigyi as I trust his knowledge and feedback. He has helped me with other minor injuries and continues to provide corrections on form for activities so I can prevent further injuries. I have recommended him to any friends that are in need of this type of care. He is truly the best Chiropractic Physician that I have worked with.

What a great place! The staff is super friendly, and Dr. Robertson was able to diagnose my dog when two other vets couldn’t. She has the knowledge and experience to provide thorough answers and solve problems quickly.
There isn't a service in the world that I could possibly rate higher than Local Mobile Vet. In late August, my then 5 year-old lab was diagnosed with kidney failure. She spent 4 days in the hospital receiving fluids, hoping to lower her numbers - hoping to create a new baseline. She returned home and we retested a couple of days later. She was staged 4/4 and she was put on supportive care. That last visit to the vet was really bad. Our lab was shaking almost uncontrollably. She never liked going to the vet, but it had never been quite that bad.
A neighbor recommended Local Mobile Vet. For the then very singular reason that an in-home vet visit would just be better for Evie, we made an appointment. Dr. Ashleigh Caplin and an assistant made the visit. From the very beginning EVERYTHING was better. You'll read lots of reviews about how much better it is for your pet than a trip into what can be a scary place. All of that is almost self-evident. Before they came I knew it would be better for Evie. But it's everything else that really makes the difference. Dr. C's interest in Evie's health was evident right away. While I had read a ton about Evie's condition, I didn't fully understand it. Dr. C was amazingly patient and thorough in both her explanation as well as our possible treatment paths - such a notable difference from our prior vet or the hospital. The email after our visit was nothing short of remarkable; so much detail and explicit instruction - I felt confident and empowered. The responsiveness with additional questions and the follow up visits has been amazing - again, the detail, it's really something.
Evie's 4/4 diagnosis is what it is, but our partnership with LMVS has helped to give us so much time we didn't think we'd have. We're nearing 6 months since she was admitted to the hospital and the prognosis was 14-70 days. Every additional day is a gift and LMVS is a big part of it.
We’ve taken several family pets to this practice over the past 10+ years and this continues to be a very special place. My favorite part is that they don’t just love easy cute pets, they also love my hyper vigilant rescue mongrel who goes through an entire jar of peanut butter every visit (and gets about half of it on me, the floor, and anyone in the room). They also nurtured us through saying goodbye to our 14 year old German shepherd a few years ago in a way that was very respectful and showed they really care. They are very transparent with pricing, options for next steps, and we’ve never been made to feel guilty when we say no to something. We will keep coming here until they decide we are just too ridiculous and kick us out.

I want to say that after trying different groomers in the Triangle area, this place is by far, and I mean by far, the best out of all of them.Unfortunately, the closer one gets to the Raleigh area, the more they act like their *#*# doesn’t stink and they don’t give a damn if you patronize their business or not, and this behavior came from the owners of the establishments-not the workers !! Without dropping the name of a particular groomer in the Cary area, I literally got charged $1.00 a minute for being three minutes late. When I explained that I got stuck at the railroad crossing just a couple of blocks from their place, she told me rules are rules !! Stupidly, on my part, I still gave the groomer a hefty tip, but, I should’ve deducted the $3 from the tip and tell her to get it from her greedy boss. Her greed costs her my regular business, and that of my neighbor.Anyway, getting back to Elliot’s Pet Spa. They were so nice and friendly. They don’t waste time keeping ur animal caged up for a whole day. Our groomer, Jenna, is such a sweetheart. Our toy poodle literally jumped right into her arms. And, he came back looking and smelling like a million bucks. She pays specific attention to requests and details. The pricing is so fair-it’s a no brainer for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone that is looking for great service and great pricing. We tried another groomer in that shop and she was also very good, kind, and courteous. But, for us, after so many of our friends told us about Jenna, she’s our girl (hands down)……. You won’t be disappointed in any way with this establishment. Don’t waste time with all of the other wannabes !!!! Elliot’s Pet Spa in Durham, on Giess Rd. (Very close to the 85)….. It’s so conveniently located, even coming from the Raleigh area, is not a problem.P.S. The only hiccup I can say is that they only accept cash payments. Not a big deal-either way you have to pay. So just make sure you get cash and remember-YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED !!!

I brought both my dogs in at the same time for a nail trim and was really worried about how one of my dogs would do (esp. because she's more anxious and sometimes reactive towards other dogs). They handled my dogs SO well and made it a straightforward process for me and my pups. We will be back!
I really enjoyed my first class! After years of hot bootcamp style yoga, it was a joy to be in a different, soothing, supportive and gentle environment. I loved the atmosphere and the genuine feeling of community. The studio feels like a boutique. It's pleasing to the eyes and the spirit. I'm new to the area and it's just what I'm looking for!

For our wedding weekend, we hired Casey to instruct a private yoga class in the Duke Gardens for our friends and family who all traveled in from out of town. We had some who practice yoga daily and others who've only done yoga a handful of times. Casey put together a flow for us that was great for all levels and even adjusted her instruction as the class progressed and she got a feel for everyone's level of comfort. It was such a great experience, in a serene location. Casey did an amazing job and we would certainly be regulars at Blue Point Yoga if we lived closer!

Alexander Pilates is truly life changing. Every single instructor is incredible. The attention to form, quality of coaching, and knowledge of each instructor is second to none… I have never felt so engaged or supported in a workout class! I’m in my early 30s and have always been very athletic, but I’ve had tons of orthopedic and mobility issues over the years. My core strength, posture, and overall appearance have improved dramatically since I started taking classes ~5 months ago. I’ve also noticed that all of my other workouts are easier, and I’m much less injury prone. It is the best workout class I’ve ever done, and I’ve tried them all, in Durham and many major cities. It is so, so worth the money and I am so glad we have Heather and her wonderful team in Durham!

I had a total knee replacement with complications of excessive swelling. I can say that trying the cold plunge has been fantastic in reducing the swelling, increasing the circulation and reducing the muscle and joint soreness. I highly recommend this therapy for recovery and fitness.
I reached out to John asking for somewhat of a miracle when I tightened up to the point of not being able to walk the week before my first race. John was great at diagnosing the issue and giving me exercises to work on in order to get me back up and running in under a week!
I have been using Nichole, as a massage therapist, for several years. I have found Nichole to be very knowledgeable and professional with each visit. After my having physical needs at times through the years, Nichole’s therapy has greatly helped me get through each situation. I highly recommend Nichole as a massage therapist!

Overall the experience was a positive one. They do need to update physical address as the one listed was incorrect. Other than that massage was relaxing and Elita was very experienced and had a therapeutic personality. Definitely will go back next time we're in town.
Lydia is amazing!! This was my first visit to Just the Right Touch Spa and it certainly will not be my last. My massage was SO relaxing. The spa is beautiful and so peaceful, and Lydia is so welcoming, her customer service is wonderful, and her hands are magic. Somehow, even my sinus issues were cleared up after the massage. Highly recommended!!
Thelma is a fantastic electrologist and a very kind person. She is flexible and accommodating with scheduling. I'm definitely pleased with the results so far. I recommend her to anyone looking for high-quality, fairly priced electrolysis.
Heads up: the place is in the basement. But there is an elevator. Location and atmosphere are great, very urban chic. And the massage was good -- not great, so I may request someone else next time but there will definitely be a next time.

Jessica, Faith and Theresa are knowledgeable, skilled massage therapists who've worked as MTs for almost 10 years. All three have have extensive anatomical knowledge. Faith and Jessica are also nurses. Jessica is even certified in medical massage. Theresa teaches at Carolina Massage Institute so she has countless hours of hands-on experience. Highly recommend all three! Full disclosure- I've never experienced Faith's massage, but I know one of her clients who is very pleased! One thing to note though: they book up in advance! It is difficult to book a session with them with only a few days notice. Book two weeks to a month in advance. It's worth the wait.

Anastasia is awesome! Although I came in with Achilles tendinopathy at the Insertion, she has given me an entirely different perspective on my total body mobility and how my body is connected. She spends the time getting to know the subtleties of one's body, the pain points and listens to what you tell her. Listening, caring, exploring and finding the best course of treatment are her gifts. And, she is so personable that you feel like you have a friend. She has helped me in many ways and being older, I need all the help I can get! Oh, and do your homework!
I have used Upright Athlete both for physical therapy and for strengths training. I seriously broke my right ankle (pilon fracture) in April 2023, had surgery, was non-weight bearing in a wheelchair for three months. And I started physical therapy with Gabe Dimock in July 2023. He has been amazing -- thoughtful, supportive, kind, encouraging, and flexible and always took time to answer questions. Ten months later (!!) after physical therapy for twice a week, I finally graduated over to the other side of the gym and have been doing strengths training with Gabe since May 2024. Am very grateful to be back to walking, hiking and building back my strength and stamina and I am so glad I chose to work with Upright Athlete. Highly, highly recommend them!
I found out about this place through physical therapy but then started to go to Ryan for personal training with my wife. I really enjoyed the program he designed for us, simple and very effective. Then I got pregnant, Ryan and his new colleague Amber modified my workouts through out the entire pregnancy. I felt amazing till the end, worked out on Friday and gave birth on Monday. Highly recommend working out during pregnancy, I felt strong during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Nothing prepares you for the amount of back strength needed for carrying a human inside and outside your body, I don’t know how people do it without having muscle strength. Thank you Ryan and Amber!

My experience with physical therapy has been very positive. All of the therapy has been helpful. Aquatic therapy has been productive and less painful. Have cancel some days because pain has hindered ability to prepare and get there. I learned new effective exercises in all PT visits. Therapists were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional.
Jon E is wonderful! He listens to your concerns and symptoms and cares deeply about his craft and his patients. I really enjoyed learning from him about acupuncture and he helped me with my upper back tightness. Highly recommend, especially for first timers w acupuncture.
Tara is so amazing I cant recommend her more!!! I came in with a ton of issues; plantar fasciitis, all over body inflammations, hashimoto's issues, hormone imbalance, stress and need for nervous system regulation. I felt like I was at the bottom with my heath and tried all doctors and supplements and everything in between. I walked into Taras office and had a bit of nerves and by the end of the appointment I felt hope. I have now been seeing her for moths and we have done acupuncture, cupping and guasha work. Every time I leave her office I feel better then when I walked in. This has been the ONLY thing to help and increase health and wellbeing. One time we did battlefield acupuncture protocol- I came in with a pain level of 10 and left with a 2. I was amazed and honestly so thankful for her knowledge, wisdom and medicine! This has been a life saver and I am getting back to enjoying life and feeling better. I still have some way to go but now that i am on a program with Tara it up hill from here!!! I cant wait for my next appointment. <3

I have never seen a business go above and beyond the way this school does. I have had several issues trying to get my son's permit through his school. Andes Driving School has done everything they can to help me, including mailing multiple documents TWICE! Andes is by far the best driving school in the state.
