I went to Blackroom about three weeks ago for a last minute transformation cut and could not be happier still with the experience! I went from a grown out bob to a bixie style cut, and initially booked my appointment wrong and the desk team was so helpful in helping me fix my booking. I had Kori, who was insanely lovely and listened to me as I expressed my concerns with going shorter with my hair and it fitting me and my body, to which she said “I think it’s more if it fits your style!” Which has completely changed my confidence and views around myself and my hair. Everyone at Blackroom is so sweet and caring and cares about their clients, and I’m so lucky I was booked with Kori for her great vibes and her incredible expertise.

Had the best first experience here. Katherine made me feel super comfortable during my spray tan and was genuinely funny and easygoing, the whole process wasn’t awkward at all. The tan is honestly perfect, like she ate down lol. Katherine even let me charge my phone while I waited out the rain for my Uber. Isabelle was also incredibly kind and let me stay after my tan so the rain wouldn’t mess it up. Both were professional and super welcoming. 100% coming back!

I recently tried the Deluxe Pedicure and let me tell you, I am not going back. The Deluxe Pedicure was truly an experience. I've been going all the way to Newton for a pedicure, but no more. There is a gem right here in West Roxbury, called Salon V on Centre Street. The owner tends to your toes (or nails) to perfection, prices are very fair, ample street parking, and the salon is clean, clean, clean. I'll be a regular now.

Moira always gives the best skincare advice on what products I should use. Laser is also super quick and minimal pain. If you want a relaxing facial or a targeted facial you can definitely get both here and always walk out glowing!!
Jill is a master esthetician and even better person. I have been seeing her regularly for 3 years - she’s taken care of me in preparation for my wedding as well as pre- and post-pregnancy. I look forward to every appointment. She does excellent facials and brow tints and knows so much about both skincare and caring for your skin. I love spending my whole appointment chatting away with Jill, but she also knows when you need a moment to relax while she gives you a killer neck massage. She’s also happy to help with recommendations but never pushes you to purchase products. I cannot recommend her enough!

I’m really impressed with the quality and how long it lasted. It’s been over two months and I still feel like there’s a slight curl to my lashes. Also I loved that they asked for my preferences since I don’t like a lot of tint on my bottom lashes. The end result was exactly what I wanted and I’ll definitely be scheduling another appointment.

my experience with the shop was great. I was greeted by the owner ram that was knowledgeable about tattoos and coverups took the time to explain what will and wont work .which ultimately made me come back to the shop after visiting other shops simply because they genuinely wanted to make sure i got what i wanted . I called Andy the owner at the referral of my plumber Baker Elman. He showed up promptly and recommended jetting for my clogged basement bathroom and main line. I didn't order the work on the spot. In the afternoon when the other company Roto-Rooter failed to snake it through, I called Andy again and he sent Nelson over right away. Nelson did an excellent job jetting the main line and warned me about future use (all my fault with the kitchen grease). After I got over the initial price shock, this company is a dream. Prompt, professional, no-BS, efficient, and easy to communicate with. Five stars to Nelson and Andy and Drain Stars.

O.K. everyone, Are you looking for a plumber? Yeah? Look no further. I'm telling you the honest truth, you will not find anyone BETTER for the price because this is "The Guy". No, like I mean it. You know when you need something fixed, repaired etc. and you ask your friend for a recommendation and they say "I gotta guy"? Welp, now you're going to be giving everyone you know John's number because this is going to be "Your Guy". I initially found John on Yelp, go figure. I called him up because we were experiencing issues with our Navien CH-240 Combi-Boiler. So, being that I already called a sh*tload of other plumber's which either did not return my calls or bother to show up for our confirmed appointments, I was an emotional wreck. John picks up and listens to my desperate plea for help. So after listening to me John says "No problem buddy. I'll come by and look at it" and gives me a date. Now, John did have to reschedule which he promptly notified me of. Which was o.k. because this showed he cared enough to ensure that I wasn't just waiting in the wind. This is where he also get's 5 Stars for excellent communication. Alright moving on. John shows up On-Time for our rescheduled appointment and goes straight to inspecting the boiler. John discover's the problem (Cracked Heat Exchanger). John took care of everything from the Warranty with Navien to ensuring everything was good on my end in the house. After getting the warranty approval John scheduled the new boiler install the following week which by the way he showed up On-Time and as scheduled. During the install, I was downstairs bugging John about every plumbing related question imaginable. John answered everything politely and also gave me pointers on Navien boilers. Ok. here is where John takes the cake of being the best priced plumber hands down. After installing the boiler, John informed me of how to receive a Rebate from National Grid due to installing this boiler! Seriously, go look it up! I never knew! What a great guy. Trust me. You won't find a better plumber than John. If he has to reschedule, don't get upset. This guy is getting so much work and it's just him. He told me that due to a shortage of plumbers from young people not wanting to get into the trades, plumbers are in high demand. However, John doesn't price gouge like the rest of these companies. Don't look any further. Give John a call.

Irfan and team are exceptional at what they do. I had purchased my property and the inspector found a damaged water main in the basement which needed to be replaced immediately. They came and explained what the issue was and promptly took care of it at a reasonable price. I have used them again for many plumbing issues; replacing thermostats, water heaters, tune ups, repairs, as my property is over 125 years old. On one instance I was trying to find the best solution to redo my bathroom in a cost effective manner and they provided me a solution to do that, even if it meant no work for them. They are able to handle it all, they use high quality materials. It is so refreshing to find a team highly intelligent, reasonable, and most importantly honest and with integrity! I need my guest room deep cleaned for my aunt coming to Boston. She will be staying for a week but my guest bedroom with a bathroom ensuite hasn't been cleaned for a year. (no one in my house uses that room unless a relative or friend is staying for long). However I didn't have enough time to deep clean the room and bathroom before my aunt arrives on the weekend. I was thoroughly pleased and satisfied with the deep Post construction cleanup that I received at my home from BraBos. I will edit later to show the bedroom photos, once the bedding is laundered. Everything was completely covered with construction dust so I have not got around to laundering the bedding yet. I’m enclosing a closet picture which looks stuffed, but as I mentioned below I had everything crammed in there and could not even see what was in there. You can see how organized it is now. I do not have an attic so this is my storage in this house. Idelsane and Eunice worked as a team to clean my house after hey serious mess left in my home After a construction visit gone wrong. They completed so much detailed work so quickly and efficiently. Closets were organized in a way that I’ve never been able to do. I had two closets that were stuffed with contents because I don’t have an attic. They put everything back into those closets in such an organized way that I can actually see what is in there. They maximized the space. Their cleaning was so thorough. They cleaned walls, ceilings, ceiling fans, lightbulbs, floors, baseboards, everything you can imagine. Windows were cleaned inside and out. Everything was vacuumed with HEPA equipment, Which was a must considering the situation. Idelsane’s English is very good and I was able to communicate perfectly with both of them through Idelsane. Both women, Idelsane and Eunice were cheerful, upbeat, and energetic! Highly recommend!
Better Clean is, no joke, better at cleaning than the previous company I hired to clean my house. My house isn't huge, just 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, but after a deep clean, it felt larger than it normally is. The cleaners were able to clean my home very well and it felt more spacious. Cleaners were also polite and did a great job making sure nothing was left unclean. Will recommend this to other people for sure

I hosted a family reunion at two rental houses on the outer cape. I contacted Nick at Spotless New England. He asked a few questions sent me a quote and promised to be there. I'll admit I was a little nervous because I hadn't dealt with them before and there was no contract to sign or deposit requested.

I own several triple deckers in the Boston area and have had BRC Renovations do a complete roof replacement on on about two years ago. The job was completed on time and at a very reasonable price and I've had no problems since. At the same time they rebuilt the chimney from the roof deck up. They removed all the debris and kept the area clean on a daily basis. I have had them do various repairs at another similar flat roof building as well and I will have them do a complete roof replacement on that building within the year.I can't emphasize how important it is to me that they are responsive to emergency requests for fast turn-around repairs as well as top quality workmanship.

Bite free for one week thanks to these people! We had come back from an European holiday and while there we had to change rooms and I thought I saw a bed bug early one morning. I didn't think much about it until coming home. After about a week, both my husband and I woke up with bites each morning. I called for a dog inspection with another company and they said I have bed bugs. They also said the bed bugs were ii a suitcase but given that the suitcase wasn't with us on our trip, I wasn't convinced. I called Mike and he was very nice. I didn't tell him we had another dog inspection and I wasn't home when their dog inspected our house but when I received a call from Mike that evening he said there was an alert on the red suitcase which was the suitcase that wasn't on the trip, and that the other dog had also selected. Mike arranged for a treatment and walked us through the heat treat procedure. Gregory, the team leader was amazing, explaining everything. When we got home, it felt bug free (I know that sounds crazy). Waking up knowing that I don't have something crawling on me at night is pure bless. Amazing service, really personable, caring, and knowledgeable staff, and a very reasonable price for service to spray a yellowjacket nest in our front door. The person I spoke to on the phone was really helpful with identifying the yellowjackets and talking us through what we were seeing and was able to get us on the schedule right away. Shaun came the next day and was absolutely wonderful, talking us through what to expect from the service and how to do reasonable mitigation strategies to keep them from returning. I’ve been seeing Dr. Townsend for a while now, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are professional, gentle, and truly excellent at what they do. You can tell they care about their patients' comfort and long-term dental health.
However, the experience with one person from front desk staff hasn’t been quite as seamless. At times, the interactions can feel a bit dismissive or even rude, which is a shame because the actual dental care is top-tier. The other administrative associates have been excellent! I keep coming back for the expertise, but I hope the office management works on the patient service side of things.

He takes everything i say seriously. If I have a concern, he always listens. He knows I know my kid's better than anyone. Even if he doesn't think what I'm saying is correct, he will still investigate it as an option. My kid's feel safe there. We've seen most, if not all of the staff there at some point & i can't think of one that my kids or I don't trust or feel uncomfortable with. I moved a bit away but refuse to switch doctors offices for the kids bc finding another doctor they trust this way might never happen again.
The staff is very responsive, they can usually see us the same day for a sick visit, and they treat my kids with care and respect.
I have been coming here for 5 years now, and I always have a great experience. The staff is friendly, the chiropractors are knowledgeable and caring, and every visit helps me feel better. I highly recommend this practice!
I have never been to a chiropractor. Always infatuated with those videos though. I had been waking up with a headache for the last week and pretty bad neck pain, I decided it was time to try a chiropractor. I’m so glad I did. I slept like a BABY last night. I feel refreshed, I finally slept pain free. My neck feels mobile again and I don’t have a headache this morning… I can’t wait to go back. We did some heat and then some minor adjustments. I think because my neck pain wasn't sharp or severe, I had acclimated to it and didn't notice how it was always there, until it was gone. Just two months of non-surgical decompression has changed everything, and I'm grateful every day for the vast improvement. I’ve been bringing my dogs to JP Animal Clinic for almost 3 years, and I’m only leaving because I’m moving away.
Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.
Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.
The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.
We will truly miss JP Animal Clinic!
Pinto is a very sweet dog with very high anxiety around veterinary treatment, specifically onset during the COVID pandemic. Back Bay Veterinary Clinic -- and Dr. Graham in particular -- has been SO wonderful in working with us to figure out the best way to make sure he is calm and comfortable so that he can get the care he needs! I recommend Back Bay Vet to ALL of my friends with pets, but especially anyone with a ~* special *~ dog like Pinto.

This is a great service and saved the day when I thought I might end up on the ER with my 15 year old shitzu. My vet was closed and it was a Sunday and I couldn’t find an open vet anywhere. I had an appointment on Tuesday with my regular vet but was nervous my doggie couldn’t wait that long. The Doctor guided me in what to look for if my Sailors issue was getting worse and gave me some home remedies that really helped! Within 24 hours she was looking so much better. This is an amazing service! I highly recommend it.

I have a feral cat who is very frightened of other human whose fur had become a mess. I found Cynthia online and reached out to her to explain my predicament. I received a detailed, prompt response. I was a bit worried on how my cat would handle the experience but received such positive encouragement from Cynthia. She came out to my house in southern New Hampshire and the results were beyond my expectations. Her calm demeanor and patience with my difficult animal was a really important part of the process. Every other place I’ve taken him has had to shave him down completely, but Jen was able to keep his length while making him so soft and fluffy. The pricing was great, the front desk staff was incredibly kind, and the space itself was clearly designed with a lot of thought and care. We will absolutely be back!

Emma is SPECTACULAR. I’ve been getting facials and eyebrows from her for ages.She is so good with just the right treatment for my ever changing dry skin. I’m convinced she sped up my recovery choosing this mask & avoiding that ointment following some skin cancer removal. She is still extra attentive to those tender areas. Her products are healthy and she knows the science behind everything she does.And I never worry about how she’s shaping my brows. I came to Sonja nine years ago in my mid-20s with rib pain, and she changed how I understand my body. What sets The Pilates Lab apart is the quality of instruction and how deeply the instructors listen to your history, your goals, and the specifics of how your body moves. Sonja notices details of my alignment in Zoom sessions that would be impressive to catch even in person. What I learn here shows up everywhere: my posture, my yoga practice, my weightlifting form, even my tennis swing.
Over the years I've also worked with Erin (through my pregnancy) and now Katharine. Each of them brings the same thoughtful, problem-solving approach. I leave every session feeling taller than when I walked in.

Boston Body Pilates is an amazing studio ! I’ve been a client for many years and taken classes and work privately with Yelena ! She is so amazing at listening to what is going on with my body, my goals and completely customizes our sessions around me. I really feel cared for and special. Yelena really takes care of her private session clients to make sure you are in proper form and getting the most out of your Pilates practice. Her class is also amazing !! She kicks my butt! I found this place on google while vacationing in Boston and I’m so happy I did. I get worked on often so I’m pretty good at knowing from the start if a massage will be good or not. Gigi’s massage was fantastic! I don’t typically do deep tissue because most therapists don’t know about pressure points and how to release any knots but Gigi knows her craft. She took the pain away I had on my neck and helped with the rest of the tension on my back. I’m sad I won’t be able to see her often but rest assured I will be back to see her once I go back to Boston.
I have dealt with chronic pain most of my life and incredibly tight muscle patterns my body has created to adapt to restricted movement. I have seen Jean-Pierre a couple of times now and every time I leave I feel like I’m walking on clouds. He really listens to what I am saying and knows exactly how to address the issue. I especially appreciate the follow up conversations afterwards where we talk about the work he did and resources I can use at home. He makes me feel very comfortable with his demeanor and extreme professionalism. I am always so relaxed at Be Well Boston and would recommend them to anyone who is experiencing any kind of pain and is interested in seeing if massage therapy is right for them.

I had a fantastic PT experience here over the past year or so. My PT Olivia was very knowledgeable and professional. I learned a lot managing injuries and how to navigate the recovery process. I'm very satisfied with the level of attention and thought she put into my plan. I was able to recover from my chronic leg injuries while still running half marathons and a marathon throughout the year!
Administrative things like payments and scheduling are also pretty frictionless here. They validate your parking for the lot in the back.
I’d been dealing with IT band issues for 2 years and had seen other PTs before. Working with Jordan was the first time I specifically chose someone who specializes in runners, and it made a huge difference. I noticed improvement within the first week of working with him and doing the exercises he gave me, was able to get through long runs pain-free a few weeks later, and completed a marathon 8 weeks after consistently working with him.
Jordan is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and really collaborative in his approach. He was always responsive to questions (even outside of our sessions!) and helped me feel confident navigating training along the way. I genuinely don’t think I could’ve run a marathon without his help.

After countless frustrating doctor and physical therapy appointments, it was Dr. Hudson who gave me my life back, fixing year-long shoulder pain in 5 visits. I had a fantastic experience rehabbing my knee at Downtown Physical Therapy. The therapists were always very friendly and helpful, which made the rehabbing experience much easier to work through. I started going to Christina recently for G.I. issues. She is great! We are new to Boston. I was nervous about how best to find an acupuncturist, so I went on the NCCAOM site and found who had their accreditations here. Then I began walking around town. I found Christina to be very welcoming and we started working together soon thereafter. She is very comprehensive when taking medical history, she listens well, she is respectful and is a caring person. And importantly she is very gentle and skilled at acupuncture and other TCM techniques. In my sessions, I am quite relaxed and afterwards I feel energized. So very glad to have found BackBay Acupuncture and Christina.
I highly recommend Chi Harmoney Acupuncture. Have always told people about this spot whenever the subject of acupuncture comes up. Since originally seeing Stephanie, then moving away, I was forced to see a couple of different acupuncturists, and I think she is still the best.
