The South Boston Bay State site is convenient, clean and professionally run. My physical therapist Liz F. was personable and confident in her therapy role. Evaluation for my hip injury was thorough/precise and my exercise plan reflected that. Every week ended with a positive. After working with Liz, I can now bend, tie my sneakers, get in and out of a car without pain. The outcome was better than I could have hoped. Thank you, Liz.

Robert is one of those honest, salt-of-the-earth kind of guys. We had a smaller sized leak but a leak nonetheless that needed repairing. Robert provided multiple proposals so we could decide if we should pursue additional work beyond the repair considering the high cost of scaffolding. He was patient and understanding of our specific circumstances. Robert didn’t attempt to sell us a bill of goods which is greatly appreciated. He was timely across the board and his guys did an excellent job. Repairs in the Back Bay aren’t the easiest and it’s clear Robert knows exactly what he’s doing. Thank you, Robert!
I have always struggled to find a consistent barber in South Boston where I live. Louie is so thoughtful, attentive and just kind when cutting here. I feel like my hair looks the best it has in a long time and I look forward to many more haircuts from this gentleman.
They did some great work for me about 5 years ago, as well as a few other houses in our neighborhood. The picture of my driveway is on their list. Still looking good. Need more pavers to match.

I was looking to get some dimmer switches installed, and I saw this local business in the area, so I placed a call with Homelight. In less than 24 hours, I had someone at my house who installed all the requested dimmers quickly and for a very reasonable price! They work great, and the customer service was incredible! I'm really happy that I found this company, and I highly recommend them for any lighting or electrical installations. Already telling my neighbors!

I’ve personally known Liz for over 20 years—long before she even had her own salon—and it’s incredible to see how much she has grown. She was already amazing back then, and somehow she’s even better now, which honestly seems impossible.
Over the years, I’ve seen her for waxing pretty much my entire body, and more recently I’ve transitioned to laser treatments—especially for ingrown hairs on my legs. The results have been truly life-changing. I used to struggle with constant ingrown hairs, cysts, and severe “strawberry legs,” and she has completely transformed my skin.
I’ve also started doing laser facials with her, and the improvement in my skin has been unbelievable. The texture and pores—especially around my nose, which I was told by dermatologists couldn’t be improved—have noticeably changed. I genuinely didn’t think that was possible, but Liz made it happen.
She’s not only incredibly skilled, but also supportive, honest, and truly cares about her clients. Her salon is always spotless, her prices are fair, and she’s just an all-around great person.
Liz is basically a magician when it comes to aesthetics, and anyone would be lucky to see her. I can’t recommend her enough—don’t hesitate to book with her.
My absolute favorite nail place in Southie. It’s very clean and welcoming in there, the ladies take their time with you and make sure you like the nails they do. They spend the time shaping, no bumps, and not too thick with dip. My nails have always lasted from them where as other places in Southie they rush, aren’t personal and the nails end up bumpy and breaking. Lastly, it’s the most affordable around, they really do take care of you. BEST NAIL PLACE IN SOUTHIE ???
I stopped by Skip’s Barbershop in Southend, South Boston yesterday and was welcomed by a gentleman named Marc Jacob. He immediately struck me as cheerful and genuinely kind.
I had both a haircut and a beard trim, and his attention to detail was truly impressive.
I would highly recommend paying Marc a visit at Skip’s—he’s an absolute pleasure and one of the finest young barbers you could hope to have cut your hair.
