801A Tremont St, Boston“I truly can’t say enough en pointe wonderful things about the Boston Ballet Adult Foundations class. While I’m sure all of the instructors are exceptional, my experience with Julia—both from a pedagogical and inclusivity standpoint—has been nothing short of top-notch. She is clearly a beautifully trained dancer, but what truly sets her apart is the way she meets each student exactly where they are and helps them grow from there.
Learning something new as an adult can feel intimidating, but Julia has a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and included—no small feat. She breaks down steps with clarity and patience, creating a class environment that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. You never feel like you’re just going through the motions; instead, you feel encouraged to plié into the learning process with confidence.
Most importantly, Julia genuinely cares—not just about correct technique, but about her students, their progress, and cultivating a real love for the art of ballet. Her passion is contagious, and it turns each class into something you look forward to all week.
I’m incredibly grateful for her teaching and so glad I took the leap and signed up. If you’re reading this because you’re on the fence, take it as your cue to jeté—I highly recommend giving it a try. ?“
“I enrolled my daughter in the indoor family class (0-4) when she had just turned 2 years-old until now at 3 years and 3 months old. We are currently taking a break just to try out some different activities for her (not enough hours in the weekend to do everything), but I couldn’t recommend CMCJP enough. It’s obvious that Christy, the program’s founder, has a background in early childhood music education, and that she carefully curates her curriculum to cultivate musical development (i.e. learning different rhythmic patterns, songs in minor vs. major keys), music appreciation, and, most of all, fun for the kids and families! As opposed to other less thoughtful children’s music classes, she doesn’t just play a guitar while the kids shake some instruments. She really thinks about what skills she can teach through her song choices, the instruments she chooses to have the kids play with, and the body motions she incorporates with almost all her songs (clapping, dancing, etc.). As a former dancer, I particularly appreciate the importance she places on movement with most of her songs, as well as tactile props, such as scarves, accordion ropes, and, always a kid-favorite, the PARACHUTE.
In short, if you want to expose your child to a high-quality early childhood activity, I highly recommend CMCJP. We will be signing back up in the future, hopefully for some outdoor classes in the summer!“

Even without having enough time to practice, Brant found a way to motivate me and to make me improve my skills and theory knowledge. I definitely recommend his services.“
