Abraham did an excellent job on clearing clogs in my two bathroom sinks. He walked me through each problem I had and what was the best solution. The charges for the work were very reasonable. My first concern was the timing, it was late in the afternoon, but they were able to identify and repair the sump pump problem in an hour, although I did have to remind them to clean up some of the debris left behind.
After a disappointing experience with a different company that left the issue unresolved, this technician took the time to clean each component and identified a small but crucial fault in about an hour. Their thorough approach led to a noticeable improvement in our A/C system's efficiency, which was confirmed by comparing our energy usage before and after their visit.

I called him a few days before Christmas Eve with a running toilet problem. He was able to come over and installed some new parts that were Made in the USA and my toilet was good as new and I have had no further problems with it. He was super friendly and explained in detail what needed to be done and why. That made me feel very confident and more knowledgeable too.
He also tested my water pressure which I had been told by a home inspector that it was much too low. Brian was able to fix that too and now my water works so much better s the hot water comes in Quicker!
He was very tidy and really gave his professional attention to the details!

I’ve been a redhead for over 10 years now and take a lot of pride in my hair, so when I moved to RPV (circa 2021), finding the right stylist was at the top of my list. I did my usual deep-dive research and found Rebecca at Salon Vivace through the Wella location finder. I seriously lucked out on the first try!
Rebecca is an absolute gem—attentive, kind, professional, and so talented. From our very first appointment, I felt like I was in great hands. She has vibrant, colorful hair herself, which immediately gave me confidence that she’d understand exactly what I was going for. And she did - every. single. time.
I have long, thick hair that reaches the small of my back, with lots of layers to help lighten the load (literally). My arms get tired washing it, so I can only imagine the workout it gives a stylist—but Rebecca never once made it feel like a chore. She was upbeat, present, and made our appointments fly by thanks to easy, enjoyable conversation and serious skill. Like clockwork, my color and cut would take two hours, and it was always time well spent.
The salon itself is conveniently located right off PCH, with plenty of signage and parking (even when it was busy, I never had trouble finding a spot). Plus, the vibe inside is relaxing, welcoming, and a perfect place to treat yourself.
My favorite compliment? “You have mermaid hair”—something I’ve heard from more than one kid, and a compliment I share credit with Rebecca.
If you’re in the area, or willing to travel a little for great service, and looking for a stylist (whether you’re changing your color, maintaining a signature shade, or just want to feel like your best self), Rebecca is your girl. I’ll miss her now that I’ve moved out of state, but I’m so grateful I found her while I was in California!

I've been going to Mrs. Song for as long as I can remember. I mean my mom started seeing her while she was pregnant with me, so the two of us have been getting our hair done by her for over 20 years now, and in all that time she has never once disappointed us, which is exactly why we keep coming back! I recently decided to switch up my look and got a Korean style perm from her, and I'm beyond happy with the results. The curls are gorgeous and luscious, and styling my hair has never been easier. She truly delivered!! If you're in the South Bay looking for a Korean style perm, Mrs. Song is your go-to. Flying to Korea isn't realistic for most of us, and ktown salons can get pricey, but Mrs. Song gives you that same quality at a much more reasonable price, so you don't have to make the trek to ktown and can always trust you'll leave happy. I can't recommend her enough. I've added photos below; the first is right after perm, the second is a few hours after, and the third is styled after a day. We had an appointment with mikee & im so greatful for the experience. I got to see both mikee & her coworker liz at work & im amazed at how well they operate their buissness. My daughter wanted a haircut & since her hair knotts easily i was more than ready to get her seen asap. We received a reminder & instructions about where we should park & we could easily check inthru their booking app...it was just so convenient. Also my daughter had a knott she had been hidding from me & when she politely fessed up to mikee the way she responded was so reassuring & how carefully she handled it & patiently brushed it out for my daughter, she is now 100% devoted to never going anywhere else but with her for any hair related buissness, & im 100% with her on that.. She got her hair washed & a head massaged- it was a whole destressing operation- plus her hair cut looks great. In this salon you get what you pay for×10 & then some too! I have never been so happy with a service as i was with my daughter getting her haircut here. This place is sooo great & i never realized anyone could be so passionate about hair as these 2 girls. I noticed that liz was so good at her job too. I learned so much about hair just listening to her interaction with her clients. If I can give Monica a million stars, then I would. I've always been sparse of eyebrows--practically non-existent. I never really noticed my lack of eyebrows until an art teacher in high school commented on it on a self-portrait I sketched. Afterwords, I noticed it in every single picture. I just needed to find someone in my area who I could trust with my face. And that's when I found Monica on Yelp. She had so many positive reviews and great pictures that I felt safe scheduling an appointment. Monica is such a kind and knowledgeable professional. She made me feel very welcomed. She calmed my worries by providing me a step-by-step of the procedure and the healing process. Ultimately, what made me trust her was her genuine interest in the art of microblading--she's definitely a master of the craft! She sculpted my brows based on my face shape and features. She elevated my preferences by providing me helpful suggestions. The procedure was comfortable, and Monica made sure I was relaxed throughout. Pain was minimal. She always made sure to ask if I was okay. The results: flawless -- my brows look incredibly natural, fuller, and perfectly shaped. For aftercare, she provided me with all the hygienic tools needed, including a soap and balm that she specifically procured for microbladed brows. I've received so many compliments already! I'm so happy with how they turned out and highly recommend Monica to anyone looking for a talented and professional microblading artist. I'll definitely be back for any touch-ups in the future! My sister and sister-in-law even went to go see her for lamentation.

The barber was patient, professional, and really took the time to listen to what my boys wanted. Haircuts for teenagers can be tricky, but he made them feel comfortable and confident. The cuts came out clean, fresh, and exactly what they asked for.

Udelle is a barber with great taste and she executes with full focus and attention to detail. It's a pricey haircut but she spends an hour and a half which is twice as long as most barbers and she really cares.
No appointments needed and no frills. For a rather inexpensive price I can have my hair cut how I want or close to it. It can get busy, but the ladies are quick so you won't be waiting too long.

I've found my favorite nail salon! Chihiro is detail-oriented and skilled. She can do any design I request and I have been very satisfied with all her work. Never chips and stays on clean for 4 weeks. Also she is sweet and nice. Highly recommended if you are looking for a Japanese nail salon!

I’ve been to this salon three times and now I feel confident enough to write a review. The service has been consistent, gentle, and they clean up your eyebrows beautifully. I was so shocked and how gentle they are while threading. I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded for about 15 years and it’s always been painful but this salon is so great and not rushing and it doesn’t hurt. whenever I come after work, they are always able to fit me in and I appreciate their customer service. I requested if they could create an arch for my left eyebrow because the previous salon I was going to in Carson completely removed my eyebrow tail. It’s growing back and looks normal now thanks to Aadhya.

Further, she is the most knowledgeable person about hair that I’ve ever met, and she has taught me a lot of things about my hair and how I should treat it differently than someone with a different type of hair.

Before finding Bree, I had gone to a few different stylists trying to find someone who truly understood curly hair, and I always left feeling a little disappointed. Either too much was cut or my natural texture just wasn’t taken into account. Finding Bree was such a relief!
She really listens, understands how curls fall naturally, and somehow manages to shape my hair without overcutting it. My curls look healthier, softer, and much easier to manage after seeing her.

From start to finish this was an incredible experience! I don’t often get facials and also have anxiety around anything that feels too “medical”. She immediately walked me through what to expect and made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. I got my first facial ever today at Gentle Touch Spa, and Maritza was awesome. I wasn’t sure what was involved going in, but she explained everything and made it super comfortable.
The facial felt great, but honestly the neck, shoulders, and scalp massage put it over the top — I didn’t expect that and it was amazing.

I recently had an issue with the key to my front door not working. I initially tried to fix it myself without success. I searched for locksmiths in the South Bay and called Ray's Key & Lock in Torrance. I talked with Henry (Ray's son--family business!) and he asked me to send him a picture of my lockset. He immediately texted me the estimate to get it fixed and we arranged to have him come the next day. He fixed the issue in about 15 minutes, and then he was able to re-key our back door (Anderson french door) as well--we had lost the keys many years ago. Another successful job with Roger and his awesome team. They spent over 7 hours doing a complete cleaning of our rental property. There was not anything more we could have asked for. The job was more involved than Roger or I could have guessed, but Roger stuck by the specifications which we requested and his team was amazing. I look forward to working with them again.
Although most of the work was satisfactory, there were a few things I found deficient. I found some of the fronts of the cupboards and their handles had not been wiped clean. Another, thing was after the cleaners left I spilled some clean water on the dining room floor. After I wiped it up with a paper towel, the towel was brown with dirt from the floor. I found that really disappointing. Also, I found the way they made the bed unsatisfactory. They put the bottom and top sheets on the bed, but only tucked them in at the bottom. They left the sides loose, especially the bottom sheets were just bulging out along the sides. Nor did they put the blanket on the bed and then turn it the top sheet down over it. And, to top it off they didn’t open up the bedspread and, as usual, bring it up over the pillow (as one sees beds made in hotels, which I consider the standard).

The project was challenging for a variety of reasons not the least of which was it was done 100% remotely which Mehdi taking the reigns for project management as part of his stellar general contractor services. Mehdi is both artistic and practical (with his engineering background) and he has great vision on re-imagining a space and more importantly, he listens to you and collaborates with you to come up with a final product that exceeds expectations! To be clear this was a very large project with included remodeling of the master bedroom, master bathroom, guest bathroom, two stories of flooring and stairs, kitchen and living room re-imagining as well. While we were at it, we upgraded the entire lighting system to smart home. His team are gifted with turning the vision into a physical reality and they are very detail oriented and orderly, I have nothing but praise for their dedication to the project. The quality of materials was also excellent and I anticipate they will provide a lifetime of enjoyment. I would work with Mehdi again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much!

Pulsar construction completed a full remodel of our master bathroom down to the studs. This included moving a wall to expand the bathroom, and repiping our whole upstairs (beyond the master bath) to replace the old, leak prone copper piping with PEX.
We’re so happy with the results - the level of craftsmanship from Pulsars work is top notch, and we’re reminded of that everyday when we use the bathroom. Further, we have peace of mind knowing that the work we can’t see (behind the walls) was completed with the same level of quality.
Something else which stood out about Pulsar is how they responded to an unforeseen issue which came up. They immediately took responsibility and resolved it. Having worked with numerous other contractors, I can confidently say this is not the norm.

All of the Bay Cities crew knew the timeline, what was planned next, and were able to communicate clearly what was planned for any given work day. Their work was high quality and should last for the remainder of the time in our townhouse. They were very easy to work with, I can't recommend them enough.

Ted and the group were I would strongly recommend Verity to any family looking to remodel their kitchen or bathroom. We had our kitchen and master bathroom remodeled in 2024 and it went very well. Our kitchen was a galley kitchen, and we did not change the footprint of the cabinetry, except for some ceiling mounted cabinets. The master bathroom is narrow and long, which is the length of one side of the master bedroom. We also did not change the general footprint of the bathroom.
We worked with Ted Scheumann (Ted S.) and Ted Potcovaru (Ted P.) and they were very helpful and proactive with their thoughts on design, which made us feel very secure in our choices. Both had over 20+ years of experience in both designing and installing cabinetry for remodeling and new structures. As we did not know what we really wanted, they were very patient and showed us various types of cabinets and finishes from their in-house showroom. They also came to our house to measure and look around the home to get a feel and understand the possible challenges, including the color and brightness of the space. We also appreciated that they showed us a computer rendering of the entire kitchen from all angles to help us visualize the final product. They were very flexible with the design while giving us good advice to keep us from over-spending or suggesting conveniences that we did not think of before.
Ted P. went with us to the tile store and to the supply houses to pick out appliances and any plumbing or electrical fixtures that we needed. Ted told the vendors the specifications of the spaces that we had in the design so that the items we chose were of the exact quantity that was needed. Ted was very patient with everyone, and he gave us helpful guidance and options in choosing designs and items that he thought would work well with the kitchen and bathroom design.
The staff that worked on the house were a very diligent crew and they had a great foreman (Peter V.) that kept things on task. They worked as quickly as they could every day and were very courteous to our family since we had to live in the house during the remodel. Dust curtains were installed and Ram Board was placed everywhere to save our floors. They kept us updated on all parts of the project that were nearing completion and worked on weekends when they could. If any complications came up, we were informed immediately, and they addressed any questions that we had at that moment. We felt empowered to voice our concerns because they were so responsive. We also noticed that Verity has some very elite craftsmen on their staff (particularly tile) that did such a great job that it made the finished product a unique work of art that was very solid.
They started on time and finished 99% of it at about the time that they stated, which was about three months. There was a lingering problem with the bathroom fan that delayed the final end of the project as they tried different solutions, and they came back to work on it. Eventually, everything was completed to our satisfaction.
Update: It's 2026 and all the work and fixtures are holding up great!

I had the best experience with Sorensen Bee and wasp services. He came and was so kind and friendly and even was able to come out the same day I called! We just moved into a home and some bees took up residence in our back fence. The service was able to non-lethally remove them safely so they could go rehive in another place. They were gone in about 2 hours and the treatment only took a few minutes. I highly recommend Sorensen to anyone in the South Bay area in need of bed or wasp removal.

The team here is great. I have a phobia when it comes to dental work but had a great cleaning and check up all smooth no pain the front desk staff is amazing and my cleaning was amazing. I can’t recommend Dr. Dao enough. As a competitive beach volleyball player, I started dealing with significant lower back pain that was affecting both my performance on the court and my daily life. I was worried about how long it would take to recover and get back to playing at a high level.

I’ve trusted Bay Cities Pet Hospital for over 30 years. This is the first time since I was a little girl that I don’t have a dog, and that alone says how big a role they’ve played in my life. Dr. Rios has always been my first choice — personable, compassionate, and truly invested in her patients. The appointment-only system now makes visits much smoother, with less waiting and easier parking, which matters when you’re already stressed. When my boy Jake was battling kidney disease, the care and kindness from the entire team meant everything. Sarah, the office manager, was wonderful in helping manage his visits and fluids. Stephanie was incredibly patient and kind — teaching me how to give fluids at home during a very stressful visit (Jake wasn’t thrilled, but she handled it with such calm and care). Jake ended up trusting the process as time went on. Emily and Christina were also amazing — always warm and genuinely compassionate. Losing Jake was heartbreaking, but knowing he was treated with love and care made a difference. When I’m ready to adopt again — and I will — this is the only place I’ll go.

I was honestly very anxious about bringing my dog here because of some negative reviews I had read about the place and the veterinarian. However, my experience was completely the opposite, and I was truly impressed.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was wonderful. The veterinarian, the nurses, and the entire staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and caring. They treated my dog with so much love and professionalism, and I felt supported and listened to the whole time.
They were able to properly identify my dog’s problem, and now we finally have a clear treatment plan moving forward. That alone gave me so much peace of mind.
Yes, the price is a bit higher than average, but it is absolutely worth it. You can tell they really know what they’re doing and genuinely care about the animals they treat. My dog was extremely well taken care of — truly, very well.

Following up on my Yelp review from a few years ago, I continue to benefit from Alan's mastery of Shiatsu. I was rear ended recently and started to feel pain/stiffness in my neck and lower back. Alan squeezed me that day to treat the pain. Alan's dedication to his clients and amazing shiatsu skills eased the pain. I have become a regular because the body/foot massage combo is great value for the price and the massages I've gotten from different masseuses there has been consistent. Not afraid to use pressure if needed and I can tell they're trained...at least that's been my experience. Happy to keep returning.
I had such a great positive experience with Steve! He was very attentive to my needs and he really understood my pain point areas. I felt very relaxed throughout my session and I even ended up snoring which was super embarrassing lol! But nonetheless, I felt very refreshed after the massage the next day, and my neck, shoulders & back feels so much better. I'll be booking with him again soon!

Arisara is amazing. I went to get the buccal massage to this place. I have had problems with tmj for a while and I came to the appt very tense. I did not expect to relax so much that I felt asleep. Her hands were soft and careful around my face and used the perfect pressure when working on my neck shoulders area. I will be coming back for for this special massage.

My wife and I had been trying to conceive for about 6 months with no luck, despite us already having relatively active and healthy lifestyles, and after quitting caffeine (we already don't drink alcohol). As we were beginning to research providers for IUI and/or IVF, I happened to stumble upon Radiant Fertility Acupuncture's page on Yelp. From reading the reviews I felt compelled to reach out, and after our 30 minute introductory phone consultation with Deannie, we decided to give it a try! From the beginning, Deannie was always informative, compassionate, and motivational. She introduced us to monthly BBT charts as a tool to track ovulation and started us both off on chinese herbal and OTC supplement regimens. She then closely monitored and adjusted the regimens from month to month as per my wife's subsequent BBT charts. We noticed after the first month of the regimen that my wife's luteal phase was much longer (and so her ovulation window was also much longer). Deannie then also advised us on which days during my wife's ovulation window to try to conceive, which was crucial! Finally, she also teased out and addressed issues of daily life stressors such as work stress and peer pressure towards pregnancy, which could impact the ability to become pregnant.
