I had such a great experience at HQ Beauty & Threading with Aman! I’m very picky about who does my eyebrows because in the past they’ve been ruined, so I usually don’t trust anyone. But Aman completely changed that for me.
She took her time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure my brows were shaped perfectly. I have naturally bushy eyebrows and have been struggling to keep up with them because I’ve been so busy, plus it’s hard to find someone who actually knows how to work with them. Aman did an amazing job and really knew what she was doing.
My eyebrows came out clean, shaped beautifully, and still full! Exactly what I wanted!! You can tell she truly cares about her work and her clients.

I visited Reps for pain in my neck and wrist, and after several sessions with Dr. Diego, I experienced significant relief. The exercises I did with the aides were helpful, and I noticed a marked improvement, especially after long days at my desk. I've found my favorite nail salon! Chihiro is detail-oriented and skilled. She can do any design I request and I have been very satisfied with all her work. Never chips and stays on clean for 4 weeks. Also she is sweet and nice. Highly recommended if you are looking for a Japanese nail salon!

We had an appointment with mikee & im so greatful for the experience. I got to see both mikee & her coworker liz at work & im amazed at how well they operate their buissness. My daughter wanted a haircut & since her hair knotts easily i was more than ready to get her seen asap. We received a reminder & instructions about where we should park & we could easily check inthru their booking app...it was just so convenient. Also my daughter had a knott she had been hidding from me & when she politely fessed up to mikee the way she responded was so reassuring & how carefully she handled it & patiently brushed it out for my daughter, she is now 100% devoted to never going anywhere else but with her for any hair related buissness, & im 100% with her on that.. She got her hair washed & a head massaged- it was a whole destressing operation- plus her hair cut looks great. In this salon you get what you pay for×10 & then some too! I have never been so happy with a service as i was with my daughter getting her haircut here. This place is sooo great & i never realized anyone could be so passionate about hair as these 2 girls. I noticed that liz was so good at her job too. I learned so much about hair just listening to her interaction with her clients. The barber was patient, professional, and really took the time to listen to what my boys wanted. Haircuts for teenagers can be tricky, but he made them feel comfortable and confident. The cuts came out clean, fresh, and exactly what they asked for.

Udelle is a barber with great taste and she executes with full focus and attention to detail. It's a pricey haircut but she spends an hour and a half which is twice as long as most barbers and she really cares.

Clean studio with 4 salon chairs. The stylist was respectful , asked clarifying questions on hairstyle and did her skills. I enjoyed getting my hair cut for donation then the pixie haircut for styling. Great price too! I plan to return later this year.

I have been going to Tracy for a couple of years now. She is the owner and she is amazing and very hands on. I am very picky and she always does an absolute perfect job! If you have ingrown nails she does a good job removing them. She works very quickly too. My old salon used to take four hours for manicure and pedicure! Tracy is also very kind to my children who sometimes have to come with me. They love Tracy! I also started going to Tracy for lash extensions as I never had them done before and it is safe to say I am addicted. She does an absolute amazing job. My lashes last for soooo long! Her prices for lashes is beyond reasonable and she does a great job when it comes time to fill. I moved almost two hours away and still commute down to Torrance because Tracy is worth it! Top tier quality service!

Margarita is so patient, kind, and gentle when she shampoos, conditions, combs, cut and blowdry my hair. She is very humble and honest. There was an error in scheduling 4 months ago and she remembered the issue and honored the groupon that I had bought. She has beautiful eyes too !

I visited this medspa last year to get a Gluta drip and the service was amazing. Sylvia is friendly and explained the best service to meet my needs. The gluta drip was pricey, so it is definitely a treat and splurge. The rooms are clean and relaxing. I would definitely go back but it is quite a travel for me.
I had a glutathione IV shot with Dr. Ozawa today, and it was an amazing experience. He was extremely thorough, kind, and knowledgeable, which immediately made me feel comfortable. Would love to come visit again. The restaurant right next door in the hotel is to die for. If you love Japanese you have to stop by.

When my best friend was given months to live following a terminal brain cancer diagnosis, we went to Damien to get our first tattoo. Its a memory Ill never forget and I am eternally grateful for Damien and the care and support he provided, alongside the most meaningful tattoo.
They did a fantastic job and they are CLEAN. I would say our bathroom was cleaner after the install of our toilet than before! They hauled the old toilet away and did a fantastic job installing the new one. Considering how much they cleaned, the job went super fast. Their pricing is average but they seemed to have more availability than other plumbers as they had a possibility of coming same day on a Sunday afternoon.
I would HIGHLY recommend, especially if you hate messy work!

Jeff Hueth and his helper, Jeremy, were a pleasure to work with! He was really communicative, very reliable, and up front with our cost estimate. He did an outstanding job putting can lighting in basically every room in the house, in addition to upgrades like a new bath sconce, closet lights, and bathroom fans, and wiring a Ring camera. Biggest plus was he was SUPER tidy and cleaned up every day (our job took 1 week). We appreciated this very much, as we both work from home. He tried to minimize the amount of holes he had to make in our drywall even saved the pieces he cut in case we can reuse them when patching and painting. Jeff is such a good, standup guy. I’ve had him out twice for quotes and each time he’s given me great guidance. The first time was for our tile floors - which unfortunately needed a specialist. Jeff was able to recommend someone wonderful. The second time was today - I had purchased a secondhand sectional and wasn’t sure if it could be cleaned by normal means. Jeff kindly came out to evaluate the fabric for me IN PERSON and once again, was honest and thoughtful about what we needed. While I haven’t used his services yet, I fully appreciate his expertise.
I had two super large silk rugs that had significant pet stains on them. So much so that all I hoped for was to make them better but didn't expect them to ever be perfect again. David COMPLETELY RESTORED THEM to their original condition. You can't tell that there were any stains on them ever. He even did extra work at no extra charge. Silk rugs are really hard to clean and not many people in the area have the expertise but he does. I 1000% recommend him for any rug cleaning needs.

The project was challenging for a variety of reasons not the least of which was it was done 100% remotely which Mehdi taking the reigns for project management as part of his stellar general contractor services. Mehdi is both artistic and practical (with his engineering background) and he has great vision on re-imagining a space and more importantly, he listens to you and collaborates with you to come up with a final product that exceeds expectations! To be clear this was a very large project with included remodeling of the master bedroom, master bathroom, guest bathroom, two stories of flooring and stairs, kitchen and living room re-imagining as well. While we were at it, we upgraded the entire lighting system to smart home. His team are gifted with turning the vision into a physical reality and they are very detail oriented and orderly, I have nothing but praise for their dedication to the project. We recently had several projects done in our home through Gold Star Remodeling, including full flooring replacement, bathroom tile work, painting, and updates to our stair railings. From start to finish, Alon was very responsive, professional, and easy to work with.
When a minor issue came up with one of the floor planks a couple of months after installation, Alon responded right away and had Scott come out the very next day. Scott did an amazing job—he took his time, didn’t rush, and made sure everything was properly fixed.
John also did amazing work. He painted, worked on the stair railings, and handled everything on his own day after day with such care and dedication. We really appreciated his hard work and attention to detail.
What stood out the most is how Alon truly stands by his work. Even after the project was completed, he made sure everything was taken care of. Ryan of Novak Mechanical was referred to me by a good friend and installed a Slimline (R410A) AC unit for us about 8-9 years ago. Installation was done well and we had no issues until the Saturday of a hot 4th of July weekend when the unit stopped cooling.
I figured it would be an easy fix and reached out to NexGen because they were able to guarantee me an early morning appointment on Monday (and I wasn't sure if Ryan's team would be able to come out so quickly, given he's got a smaller crew and it was in the middle of summer). WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!!
Long story short: NexGen told me my compressor and some other parts were bad, that because our existing AC unit (R410A) was being phased out and there was only a limited supply of the compressors available and that it would take up to 3 months to get an available unit. They then quoted me a price of nearly $11K for parts and labor (again, just to repair my 10 yr old unit). The NexGen rep (and his parts guy who was on the phone) then tried to persuade me that it made a lot more sense for me to simply by an entirely new unit at a cost of approximately $15K for parts and labor because I'd be getting an entirely new unit (instead of a partially repaired unit).
None of this made a lot of sense to me so I finally came to my senses and reached out to Novak Mechanical. Ryan called me back almost immediately, agreed that what I was told by NexGen didn't make sense, and that he would have one of his crews come out the next day to assess the situation. Jose and his partner arrived the next day on time and, WITHIN 5 MINUTES, had diagnosed the problem, replaced a part that connects to/boosts the compressor, and had our AC unit up and running cranking out cold air. In other words, there was absolutely nothing wrong with our compressor, as the NexGen rep alleged. Total cost for parts and labor to Novak: $375!!
Jose also looked at my furnace in the attic which the NexGen rep said also was in need of several repairs (costing upwards of $5K). Jose confirmed that the furnace looked good and no parts were in need of repair.
The bottom line: Novak was in and out within 30 minutes, fixed our issue, and their price was exceptionally reasonable. These guys are great/efficient at what they do, their rates are very reasonable, and, most importantly, they are honest and trustworthy and aren't going to try to scam you or upsell you. So, do yourself a favor next time you have any HVAC issues: call Ryan at Novak Mechanical first!
And never never ever risk getting scammed by NexGen!!! I didn't do my homework before reaching out to them, thinking my repair was an easy fix and that a larger company like NexGen would perhaps be able to accommodate me more quickly after a hot holiday weekend. As it turns out, it was an easy fix but I was shocked at how blatantly the NexGen folks tried to scam me out of in excess of $10K. So, if you are even considering using NexGen, do yourself a favor first and read all of the awful reviews on Google, Yelp, and the BBB about how deceptive and slick their practices are, all in the name of trying to upsell their customers!!!
We used Bay Cities Construction to help us fix an aging, termite damaged balcony, and to replace a sliding glass door and window that were original installations from the 1980s. All of the Bay Cities crew knew the timeline, what was planned next, and were able to communicate clearly what was planned for any given work day. Their work was high quality and should last for the remainder of the time in our townhouse. They were very easy to work with, I can't recommend them enough.

We had an great experience working with Ben from A2Z Home Remodel on a full home renovation. From the very beginning, Ben was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through every step of the process.
He helped design our new kitchen - which we absolutely love - and made sure we were always on the same page by meeting with us in person multiple times. His communication was excellent, his pricing was fair, and he completed everything right on schedule.
The scope of our project was huge: Ben fully renovated our kitchen and living room, installed skylights, replaced the roof, added new stucco to the exterior, built and installed two beautiful bathrooms with custom vanities, replaced several windows and a patio door, and installed a new garage door. The work also involved major structural updates, including a new foundation and footings to support the roof as we opened up walls and expanded the space.

Ronen was the general contractor for a major renovation at our house. We completely gutted our kitchen, installed a wall in the middle of our large bathroom (to yield 2 separate bathrooms, with brand new everything), replaced brand new luxury vinyl flooring, replace drain pipes and water pipes throughout the house, relocating a water heater from hallway to garage, replacing tiles and hardware for booth shower stall, installing a fireplace mantle, and installing of whole-house water softener/filtration system. Definitely recommend Cass for small odd jobs around the house that do not require license or permit. Not only she's responsive but also honest about what she can and cannot help with. We needed to replace the bathroom fan, a job too small for electricians we inquired. Cass first came to inspect and make sure it's in her scope of work and kindly helped to identify the model and size for the replacement free. She came back 2nd time after we bought the replacement and finished the work neatly and perfectly. She'll definitely be our go to next time around.

I had the best experience with Sorensen Bee and wasp services. He came and was so kind and friendly and even was able to come out the same day I called! We just moved into a home and some bees took up residence in our back fence. The service was able to non-lethally remove them safely so they could go rehive in another place. They come once a month and they sweep down my Eaves of my house and they spray all around the house for any and insects to keep them out if I have problems with and they will put granulas on the lawn or where the answer sprinkle it around I haven't had any issues with any type of bugs since I've had orchid they work very good with you it's very reasonable
We recently hired Michael and his team at Dreamwork Landscaping to transform our front and backyard ahead of a big wedding celebration—and they absolutely exceeded our expectations.

Kelly the hygienist I see in his office is very thorough and at the same time she is gentle. I have not needed any dental restorative work from Dr Wheeler myself, but my wife who is also a patient in Dr Wheeler's office did. A root canal that was done by an endodontist over a 40 years ago failed and she required an implant. Dr Wheeler restored the implant with a beautiful crown. I've been struggling with neck & shoulder tension my entire life; it has progressively worsened over the years. Having severe knots in the aforementioned trouble areas has been a hinderance. That said, Trevor did a fabulous job throughout my massage session. My neck definitely felt less constricted & lighter by the end of it. Trevor also took some time to go over certain strategies & techniques for long-term care. Overall, I feel incredibly satisfied with my experience. 10/10 would highly recommend!
After visiting so many clinics and most of them suggested surgery and or knee injections very costly and painful, I found Dr. Taylor office honest and kind people treated me like family with a very warm welcoming after my treatments I felt 100% better get back to my daily routines, no pain no surgery and no injections, Thank you to the team for a wonderful experience.

The office is nice , clean, and has multiple private rooms with chiropractic tables. There is plenty of parking too which is a big plus. Then you have the 2 doctors who are twin brothers and are the best. Very very nice, very knowledgable, and I always know I'm in good hands with either doctor. Valerie, the receptionist is always there with a smile and ready to help in any way. I have been coming here on a regular basis for over 10 years now and I can't say enough about how great this place is.

Dr Kyle is a great doctor. Very helpful and knowledgeable. My foot fungus that other doctors did not fix, she diagnosed it and treated with the right dose of medication. Other doctors gave me the same medication but with less strength but Dr Kyle recognized the stubborn fungus and gave me the right strength of medication. I’m so happy to see my foot being normal again.

Great first time experience with Dr Koudsi. She was very friendly and pleasant and spent some time to explain in detail what would be involved with the procedure. I really appreciate her detail and care. Also, since my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure she was kind to tell me a discounted cash price so I'd know exactly what to expect. I’ve trusted Bay Cities Pet Hospital for over 30 years. This is the first time since I was a little girl that I don’t have a dog, and that alone says how big a role they’ve played in my life. Dr. Rios has always been my first choice — personable, compassionate, and truly invested in her patients. The appointment-only system now makes visits much smoother, with less waiting and easier parking, which matters when you’re already stressed. When my boy Jake was battling kidney disease, the care and kindness from the entire team meant everything. Sarah, the office manager, was wonderful in helping manage his visits and fluids. Stephanie was incredibly patient and kind — teaching me how to give fluids at home during a very stressful visit (Jake wasn’t thrilled, but she handled it with such calm and care). Jake ended up trusting the process as time went on. Emily and Christina were also amazing — always warm and genuinely compassionate. Losing Jake was heartbreaking, but knowing he was treated with love and care made a difference. When I’m ready to adopt again — and I will — this is the only place I’ll go.
I can't say enough about the amazing team at BARC. My senior French Bulldog Kirby goes for physical therapy and acupuncture and they have provided top notch care. She recently had an IVDD flare up and bounced right back which I believe is due to the care she has received during preventative PT and accupuncture sessions. It's amazing to see my dog getting bursts of puppy energy due to the program here. Everyone on staff is always so perceptive to the pets' needs as they evolve. The entire team is also simply wonderful, caring, and kind. They have created a very positive environment. Thank you BARC!

I was honestly very anxious about bringing my dog here because of some negative reviews I had read about the place and the veterinarian. However, my experience was completely the opposite, and I was truly impressed.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was wonderful. The veterinarian, the nurses, and the entire staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and caring. They treated my dog with so much love and professionalism, and I felt supported and listened to the whole time.
They were able to properly identify my dog’s problem, and now we finally have a clear treatment plan moving forward. That alone gave me so much peace of mind.
Yes, the price is a bit higher than average, but it is absolutely worth it. You can tell they really know what they’re doing and genuinely care about the animals they treat. My dog was extremely well taken care of — truly, very well.

I absolutely love my groomer Michael, he’s been doing my yorkie for 4 years now. He does a phenomenal show dog grooming ! He’s very talented.
I get my flea medicine from him, allergies medicine from him, and at times he has some cute dog clothes and accessories to sell, so that’s a plus after a groom ! He also has access to any pet products which I LOOOOVE !!!

Following up on my Yelp review from a few years ago, I continue to benefit from Alan's mastery of Shiatsu. I was rear ended recently and started to feel pain/stiffness in my neck and lower back. Alan squeezed me that day to treat the pain. Alan's dedication to his clients and amazing shiatsu skills eased the pain. I felt very relaxed throughout my session and I even ended up snoring which was super embarrassing lol! I was guided by Arisara to my heartspace through knoledge and peace. Her reading of me provided insite previously unraveled in the past. The onion was pealed with precision. Now I must see if I have it in me to implement required changes. If not, I will ask for her assistance once again. I visited Reps for pain in my neck and wrist, and after several sessions with Dr. Diego, I experienced significant relief. The exercises I did with the aides were helpful, and I noticed a marked improvement, especially after long days at my desk. The atmosphere at Reps is welcoming; the staff is incredibly supportive, making it easy to express my concerns and stay motivated. I will definitely return for any future therapy needs.
ACU Wellness has been so hopeful in my rehabilitation, first, with chronic hip pain last summer and, second, with my current foot pain from plantar faciitis and leg cramps. I am also appreciative of the cleanliness of the business and the kindness of everyone there. Amazing!
Dr Kim was very patient, compassionate, and understanding. She was thorough in her questions and very willing to address any concerns that I had, even asking if I had a fear of needles. She explained the procedure and reassured me that I shouldn't feel a lot of pain, however, if I did, to notify her immediately. The most important reason I gave 5 Stars is because her treatment worked. My shoulder pain is completely gone, my back pain is mostly gone, and she explained I needed 1 more session to complete the treatment. Dr Kim even identified an issue that I didn't mention, which was pain in my hip area. She took away the pain in that area too.
Calle Mayor Acupuncture is wonderful and they are open on Saturdays. I really appreciate Dr. Daniel Lim's work. Fluent in Korean and English. They have a bathroom, offer water bottles, provide disposable gown tops to help w/acupuncture, heated lamps to stay warm, air filters in every room, wooden hangers so your clothes don't get wrinkled. He's conscientious and considerate. Once I even asked to use his refrigerator to keep some of my leftover lunch cold. There is plenty of parking, but it isn't really shaded. On our first meeting he looked at my tongue and deduced I have insomnia. He does cupping so you get those bruises but feels great for my back afterward. He's super flexible about scheduling and does text messaging to remind you of appointments. Accepts insurance. Can do herbal supplements but have not tried them. Have gotten my father an appointment there. They can even text message you if you want for reminders about appointments! Type of Care 5***** Care Quality 5***** Office Experience 5*****

This is the most amazing place for acupuncture. She is kind, caring, takes her time and tries a range of methods including needling, cupping, red light, and electronic vibrating stimulation to increase the effectiveness of the needles. Additionally she takes a range of insurances which makes it extremely affordable. Lastly, your treatment feels thorough and she can work on anything and everything. I have already gone 6+ times.

Avers driving classes were great for my 17 yr old daughter. We purchased the 9 hr package and the DMV driving test day and my daughter passed on her first try ! Their packages are far better than the AAA courses offered. I loved the convenience of having her picked up and the routes they practice on. Their customer service was attentive and they always responded my questions promptly !
