So I’ve been going to Dr Suzanne for over 1 1/2 years. Though I’ve had disc injections, steroid injections, Opiods, nerve pain meds, epidurals, physical therapy, unloaded treadmills, and water therapy- I’ve had it all. I’ve never experienced pain relief until visiting Dr Suzanne. I’ve have lifelong back pain and found out last year I have spinal stenosis, which my back surgeon has said “I can see why this [chiro] is working for you”. Currently I’m recovering from my first total hip replacement (dysplasia) which has greatly affected/ increased my back issues. I’ve had to literally sit down on the floor in a grocery store (leaning on a grocery cart didn’t even help) because of the pain, but going to Dr Suzanne has allowed me to sleep, work through physical therapy for both of my hips, and tolerate driving. I’m currently preparing for lumbar vertebral nerve ablation as a surgical alternative to a spinal fusion, after which I will have my other hip replaced. I swear on all that is holy that I would not be walking without a walker had it not been for Dr.Suzanne. Having been a physical therapy assistant for 8 years, I was very skeptical about chiro care- I’d had negative experiences with 2 prior chiro providers and believed “it’s only short term relief”, and “I’m going to be talked into some rotating treatment plan”. Then after exhaustive research, I came upon Dr Susanne’s name and thought there might be hope. I tell you that she is not only none of the above, but she got me back to work when I’d been nearly bed ridden. In addition. I will speak for my husband. He was really suffering from radiating pain and numbness down his right arm. He used a computer mouse for editing and a video camera all exclusively for work. He was so unsettled once he was unable to sleep that he finally agreed to swallow his “man pride” and listen to me- and went to see Dr Suzanne and she recommended he get an X-ray to rule out any structural issues. After finding his spine changes were age related and lifelong work requirements, he was able to continue seeing Dr Suzanne and work on the exercises and stretches she gave him. No joke she made a believer out of my husband. His issues have not only resolved but he has chosen to continue seeing Dr Suzanne about once a month to “for a “Tune ups” he calls them, because the trigger point pain he sometimes gets from work and “feeling older” (massages only help short term) is gone whenever he sees Dr Suzanne. This is the longest review I’ve ever written, but it’s about so much more than “5 star” care. It’s about making 2 serious skeptics, believers. I always joke to Dr Suzanne that she posses “magic voodoo” to be able to see the spinal/ hip dysfunction/ progressive changes through by both my body’s degeneration surgical treatments/ recovery. Her skills, education and experience are apparent in your first visit. Your own education in your healing process is so important to her and she has explained my x-rays, MRI’s and her own visual analysis in a way that I have been able to understand on an even 3D level. If you feel like your at the end of your rope, there is Dr Suzanne. If you are curious about how chiropractic care can change your mood (I’ve also struggle with mental health issues), how it can give you more energy, or how it can also be a tool to make other modalities more affective, give yourself permission to go to Salt Lake Chiropractic. Being greeted by Sarah and supported by Dr Peeler make this place feel like an extension of home. Through tears I thank them for the life I am able to live.
