“Booked this appointment for my daughter. She was told it would be around 230.00. Which I was fine with, as she starts doing my daughter’s hair and towards the end she claims your mom booked the wrong appointment and it is going to cost a lot more 395.00 to be exact. For me if you are a hairstylist that price should have been told upfront not after you’ve completed the service. I should have been called and informed and asked if it was something I was okay with as I’m the one paying not her. She came out with the same hair as when she went in. She went in for highlights and a curly style. She was told during the process her hair was thicker than expected (you seen her hair when she walked in) and that is why it cost her more. For this price I could have flown my daughter to my hair person out of state and had it done. 400 for highlights and a style is crazy with it looks no different from when she went in.

Update: they reached out to me, and made things right. I really appreciate them reaching out and making it right. Chelsea went above and beyond to communicate and to make it right. They really do care, and understand that communication is key so that everyone is on the same page.“

“I needed a trim badly and thought I’d give the Salon a chance because they’re down the street from my house. I happy I did! I decided on the precision cut, which was done by Rebekah. She gave me a wash, trimmed everything (cut layers throughout and face framing), plus blew it out and curled it in 60 mins. I asked her to just give me a cute style cause it had been months and honestly I love it. I will definitely pay her future visits“

“I am very particular about my haircuts, so I have given Christine a ton of specific instructions. She is great at remembering all of my requirements to conistently get the cut I envisioned. Additonally, she is super happy to accomodate any changes I make week to week, which is probably confusing given how often I want to change my style, but she remembers and executes it to perfection.“

“Highly recommend Zoe for haircuts. I have fine, straight hair that is color damaged and need a hairstyle that I do not need to style daily. A lot of salons in Utah will curl your hair after a haircut to hide the choppy layers. Not the case with Zoe - she is a genius at blending layers and creating hairstyles that grow out well. I don’t need to see her for months in between. For me, that is the mark of a great hairstylist.“

“Such a beautiful day spa. It’s a hidden little gem in Holladay. Arrive early and take advantage of their quiet, serene, and peaceful relaxation room where they have lemon water, coffee and treats. It sets the tone for a lovely spa experience. I got a spa pedicure and my sister got a spa manicure. My pedicurist was fantastic! Very thorough, thoughtful and clean work. I will definitely return and recommend them to others. This isn’t a walk ins welcome, hurry up kind of place. This is where you come to get away and have a moment for yourself.“

“I’ve been coming to the balayage studio for nearly 5 years and REFUSE to go elsewhere. Whether I see Yais herself or her amazing staff, I know that I am in good hands. The expectations from her team are always clear, and I’ve felt confident every time I’ve left the her salon! They stay up to date on their education, they are never pushy when suggesting products and more importantly, this is a safe space regardless of who is doing your hair. Lakyla has done my aunt’s hair, more recently Lizzie has done my hair and my mom’s hair (a woman who dyes her own hair, had various bands and understood she NEEDED all over dark).

Our local businesses are so important, and even more special when they are owned by woman of color ? this is a place of self care, coffee hangs and yap sessions all in one. However, this is not a space for entitlement and victim behavior if YOU as the client choose not to listen or recognize the state your hair is actually in.“
