I was nervous about preschool. Who wouldn’t be? When you think of sending your little ones off, you don’t think of a business transaction. You think and hope for the care that they’ll be given. I was further concerned by the idea that what I was taking my daughter to was not a center, but rather a home, worried that this might indicate some lack of professionalism.
Those were the last concerns I had.
My daughter’s experience at Miss Laura’s Learn and Play Nature School was one of the most important in her life. She did more growing, learning, and playing in the years she spent at Miss Laura’s than I could have ever hoped for her. Miss Laura not only made my daughter and myself feel welcome in her home, which has been retrofitted to be an amazing childcare facility, but she showed the standards of care that one would expect from the highest quality care-giving institutions. She regularly follows and exceeds all state guidelines in every area. As an educator myself, I wasn't just satisfied, I was impressed. I'm eternally grateful that my daughter got to have her preschool experience with Miss Laura, and I hope many more kiddos have the same opportunity.

This is such an incredible space. Inclusive and accessible for different bodies and minds. I have received a massage from Nikki and it was really lovely. Every teacher here cares deeply about language and calming the mind. If you are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable experience this is the place for you. Teachers here are also trauma informed. I really appreciate that they try to keep classes as affordable as possible.

I have always went to barbershops, but for a while now they just weren't working out with my medium length hair. Then one day a woman with beautiful hair referred me to her stylist Lindsay. I set the appointment with Lindsay and then it was game over. I always feel like a brand new person when I get out of that chair. She listens with intention and nails it everytime. Mill creek has a cozy atmosphere and it no longer feels like I'm going to get a haircut, I am going for an experience. Thank you Lindsay, your are an artist and a genius!

Sheena is amazing!! I came in with hair that was all one length. I like to style my hair naturally (2a/2b curls) and with a loose wave, and she was able to give me a soft shag that looks good both natural and loose!
She was so lovely to interact with! Easy to talk to, and easy to keep the conversation going. She explained good after care and style tips easily. I’ve never had my hair done at a salon except for a color correction once, so it’s been super hard going out and trusting a total stranger with my hair. I will absolutely be going back to see Sheena! Plus, it was super affordable. Although I think Sheena is worth more than any haircut, it was nice to find a dependable stylist that only charged $50! So appreciative of Sheena for everything!!
Josey is so easy and amazing to communicate with! She did exactly what I was hoping to do and had such a nice and warm environment. I didn’t fully see how amazing of a job she did until I got home and really looked at my hair but it was SUCH an improvement. And the best part is that she doesn’t cut more hair off than you ask for.
Sometimes other hair stylists will chop off your entire head and it takes ages to get it back to where you want it, but Josey cuts exactly the amount of hair you ask for, is very tasteful while actually adding volume and texture.

Dana is truly a master of her craft! I'd had several disappointing visits to various stylist and was searching for someone who listened carefully, could read between the lines (because maybe it was ME, not communicating well) and create what I really wanted. I definitely found all of that and more in Dana! The color is just what I wanted and I'm loving the cut, each way I style it!

Love this place for beard trims. Russell is the man no matter if it's a short or super long beard. Since I'm bald I change up my beard quite often and he always does a great job. Booking is recommended but it is really easy process.

I have been to many nail spas in my life. This is the only place I will go to now. Edison is the person who does my nails. They are the healthiest nails I’ve ever had. They last forever but I go about every 3 weeks because my nails get so long by then. It is a small place and currently only Edison and his wife Mia are working there now so it can be difficult to get an appointment but that is the only nail spa for me now.
Stylist: Nancy M. provided a gorgeous and durable pedicure. Since I saw her 3 weeks ago, I've hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park and 3 days in Crested Butte. I've soaked in hot springs for 2 days in Crestone and swam in Boyd Lake and Horsetooth.
This pedi still looks so good that today my husband asked me when I found time to get my toes done again!

Joanne is wonderful! If you're looking for a place to get a curly cut, she's the one. She helped me understand how to properly care for my hair, didn't pressure me into buying products (but I did anyway because the reasonable prices and the way it looked when she used them in my hair). She and I were the only ones in her salon which created a calm and relaxed environment. I loved the way my hair looked after getting the Curly Expression Cut and will be coming back for a Curl Maintenance - Dry Trim n the future.

I just had a very relaxing appointment with Penny at Purify while she gave me beautiful eyelashes. I was concerned that I'd have an allergic reaction as I had from another discount salon. She had me come in days before and gave me a few on the side of my lid with a a different adhesive. So thoughtful and professional to give it a trial run. She was so delicate in putting them on I fell asleep and woke up and Poof! just like that, instant glamour! I highly recommend Purify for lashes.

Edit 2025: I booked Ericka to do my wedding makeup! She did such an amazing job ? I wanted a funky look that is not typical bridal makeup and oh my did she deliver! She came on site, and showed up early, she was so respectful to me and my wedding day schedule. She took her time making sure every detail was perfect! She was even attentive to my bridesmaids even though she wasn’t booked to do their makeup! She was incredibly kind to my friends and family too and made the getting ready part of my big day really special and magical! Best decision to have Ericka make me beautiful for my most special day! Felicia has been my lash lady for years - and I was so excited to visit her new salon in Fort Collins. The location is easy to get to, well lit, and has plenty of parking available. The salon itself is *so* clean and always smells good, with soft pop music to really set the tone for a relaxing appointment.Felicia can accommodate those of us who like to take a nap and wake up with lashes, and is also great at chit chat for those of you that prefer small talk. I am always impressed with the fluff & fill of my lashes after an appointment, and on average I get filled in every 2.5-3 weeks.I feel much more confident just walking out the door with no makeup and my drama lashes- Definitely recommend if you’d like to give your lashes a little extra glam that lasts and lasts and avoid messy mascara that you have to wash off every night and reapply the next day.

I cannot say enough good things about this tattoo shop, the artists and the work the artists put in. My fiance and I had been looking for a GOOD tattoo shop for a minute and we came across black oak tattoo which was the best choice we could have made. Mike did my tattoo and Doug did my fiances. When I came in my allergies were absolutely killing me but Mike didn’t make me feel bad or gross for it- that alone made me want to cry happy tears. Doug worked my fiance into his schedule so we could have our appointments at the same time. And again, as if the people weren’t already amazing the work and ATTENTION TO DETAIL was mind blowing. Thank you guys for everything, I will not be going anywhere else from here on out!

Tony at the front desk was incredible—we instantly bonded over our microbladed eyebrows, which set such a fun and welcoming tone. Adam Fenner was my artist, and he was everything you’d hope for: professional, respectful, and kind. When I asked him how many mountain tattoos he’s done, he was totally honest, but he also took the time to listen to my personal connection to the mountains, which made it feel meaningful and personal instead of cliché.

Jamie came out last minute, on Christmas Eve, diagnosed the stink in our attic in 5 minutes, then fixed our wall toilet in 2 minutes (which Allen plumbing told me would take a week and cost $1200). Actually he fixed the toilet in 30 seconds and then spent a minute and a half explaining to me how to do it myself if ever needed again. Seriously 10 stars.

These guys are great for larger new construction projects. And what’s great is they have a separate sort of department for smaller remodel work, so they are able to handle both types of work well , which can be a challenge. Dave is great at working with contractors on kitchen and bath remodels and a lot of the contractors in town that I have referred them to have really appreciated their top notch service. I would recommend. Probably not a home services, service call kind of outfit m, but maybe I’m wrong about that. Highly recommend !!

At any rate, Chris was alive and in the flesh fixing a weird issue I had with my hot water circulation pump today. Worked with him through my home warranty company, but would hire him again for non-warranty work as well. He was able to do the repair 2 weeks earlier than expected and was very fast and knowledgeable! Easy to communicate with as he was able to text for minor questions and confirmations. He helped me a few years back when I had a general question about my water heater, as well. You can't go wrong with Rams Plumbing!

Had outdoor security lights installed around the driveway last weekend. The electrician arrived right on time and worked through intense afternoon heat without complaining once. One sensor was too sensitive at first and kept turning on from passing cars, but they adjusted it quickly after I called and now it works perfectly.

I hired them to install under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen and the result turned out much better than expected. The electrician paid attention to placement so the light spread evenly across the counters. He accidentally scratched a small area near one outlet but immediately pointed it out and touched it up before leaving.

2/12 changing my review from one star to 4. Ruth the install manager reached out and refunded the transition cost, 1/2 the baseboard fee (this is absolutely fair because we did need 1/2 removed, just not reinstalled) and then the appliance removal fee.

2/6 Our first install from the Fort Collins store was ok, the 2nd install there was some confusion on the appliance removal fee (we didn’t need anything removed) but that was figured out. The installer was awesome and explained everything well.
The third visit was very disorganized. It was a bedroom install this time, we were charged an appliance removal fee. It was brought up at least 2x that we didn’t have any appliances or beds that need to be removed in this bedroom. It was never removed from the invoice and never refunded.
When install day came we did need help removing the baseboard, initially we thought we would be able to get it removed but had a family emergency that took priority. Even though we told the store we only needed 1/2 the baseboard removed that we were not able to finish and nothing reinstalled we were charged $220 for a removal AND reinstall. The $90 was brought up again and we were told it would be removed and we would pay the difference.
Once the install was completed we noticed the wrong transition had been installed from our tile to the new floor. A flat transition was used when it should have been tapered. We asked for it to be fixed and were told that it would be an additional $45 to order the correct transition. When asked why we had to pay ‘I was told to order that transition, the person who measured never said anything about it.’
I asked both the installer and the sales rep if I could talk to the install manager and never heard back from her. I called the store directly and requested a call back and never heard anything.

Touching up drywall where electricians had to cut to run wiring.6. A separate cleaning crew when the job was done, to ensure the area was spotless.7. Always showed up when he said he would, right on time.In addition, his communication was exellent throughout the project. He let us know when he was on his way or if he was running late, and how he was coordinating with the electricians.We've had several jobs done at our house over the past few years, and of all the contractors we've worked with, James has been by far the best. We could not be happier with the work Select Floors did in our kitchen. It seems most floor refinishers do not like small jobs but Select was available (unlike some flooring companies that either never returned our call or called weeks later). They were able to schedule the job very quickly and we LOVE the new stain color. Alex and John, who did the work, were great to work with and even returned the day after they’d finished to move an island back into our kitchen so we didn’t have to roll it over the new floor. Their pricing was excellent. Highly recommend Select Floors!

Almost too good to believe, but I have found no bedbugs after a few months. These people have a really hard (hot) job, and clearly work very hard at it and know what they're doing. Just ask about their warranty for do-overs. We also had a large amount of stuff and one location had enormous amounts of bugs, yet they are still gone (and I have set traps all over). Also they were helpful with a payment plan, which is what made it possible. I don't think you can settle with chemical only treatments for bedbugs, as their eggs are almost impossible to kill without heat.

We just completed about a one acre xeriscape transformation from grass to native plants and grasses. The end result is stunning, on budget and exceeded our expectations in all aspects of the project.
We drew up design plans late in the winter with Chris Meglens and he allowed for many revisions (without extra costs) as he took the time to learn about the native plants we liked and guided us on what would work best our yard. He patiently waited for the right time and the right weather to start the project. Once it was time to go the efficiency was amazing. Ground prep was mostly done in one day. He checked in often to make sure everything was being placed where we wanted it and continued to provide his expert opinion on the direction he felt things should go.
We have an existing irrigation system and one of the best aspects of the project was Chris’ reprogramming of our inefficient and wasteful system into a precision watering machine !!

Contacted the Bath residential landscaping team seeking help with re-doing our compact backyard based on a recommendation from a friend. Lockwood Landscape Designs is a professional company with a personal touch. Several years ago I contacted Sharon Lockwood for a full landscape design (both front and back yards). My goal was to have lots of interesting perennials and very little lawn. Sharon came up with a wonderful design that incorporated some interesting hardscape as well as many unusual plants. This past Spring I asked Sharon and Courtney for a redesign so that a tree could be incorporated into the front yard and new plants for the backyard in the area where a very large Elm tree had been taken down. Once again I was presented with a lovely design which was implemented a few months ago. My yard is gorgeous, and I am very pleased. I would highly recommend Lockwood Landscape Designs!
Couture Landscaping has done few projects for me over the years and they have always done an excellent job. Dustin is a very personable contractor that has great ideas and a willingness to make all of our ideas come to reality. They aren't the cheapest, but are worth every penny if you are wanting to enjoy your yard and outdoor living spaces for a lifetime.
I highly recommend Hayvenscapes. My back yard landscaping was neglected and overgrown and I had 2 huge cottonwood stumps. They removed everything quickly and cleaned it up beautifully. My front yard is on a big slope and was poorly landscaped. Adam and Kaden worked in the miserable 100 degree temperatures and built a retaining wall to fix my erosion issues. Good communication, good work ethic, and pride of job shows in their work and at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be using them again for my next project.
We live in the far western suburbs of Chicago. Though we have a beautiful new home, the soil the builder built on top of was terrible... mostly clay and gravel with little for plants and trees to thrive on. Typical, right? Alpine Gardens Landscaping did an excellent job on our timber retaining wall--starting with design advice and scope of work and estimates for a couple of different options from Evan. The work crew was very skilled and professional. They went above and beyond in the work and make significant improvements to the previous approach in construction. This was a smaller job for Alpine, but it was treated with the same professionalism and quality of a much bigger project. Everyone answered all our questions and addressed any worries we had. I can't recommend Alpine more highly.

Had our trees trimmed and another removed today. What a treat to watch James and his crew. It is very impressive to see the way they safely climb the trees to get to the branches that need to be cleared away. They left the yard more neatly groomed than when they started. Highly recommend them!!
Brett and his crew do outstanding work! He included me on every aspect of the pruning process of a very large maple and apple tree in my backyard that I am very fond of. They are meticulous efficient and strong communicators. His partner Angie was very responsive to me during scheduling and work consultation. Both of my kids had their tongue tie release procedures done here, and we've continued with routine care for my 18-month-old. Dr. Zach and his team are nothing short of amazing. Today, they completed my child's exam and cleaning without a single tear, which speaks volumes about their gentle and caring approach. The staff is incredibly professional, patient, and takes the time to ensure both kids and parents feel comfortable and informed. I had a really bad experience at a dentist (my ex-FIL) in CA when I was 19. It made me a really bad gagger especially at the dental office. I have tried two other offices in Fort Collins (Ray and Humbert) and I would not recommend either for multiple reasons.. Zero compassion for my anxiety issues.

Tails Animal Chiropractic has some of the best animal docs around! My little yorkie has always had back problems and knee problems, so we took her to the chiropractors once a month and we saw how happy she was and how much the adjustment helped her. We think she realized it too because she would turn around and sit down to get adjusted by the end of our time in Colorado ? my family and I have always loved these ladies, they do amazing work and had we not moved they would have still been in our monthly visit schedule!

In just four adjustments, Dr. Abby resolved a low back issue that's been bothering me for about 9 months. I've been receiving chiropractic care since I was 10 years old. I've traveled all of the country. This is the chiropractor you want. I no longer reside in CO, but I've joked about bringing this chiropractor with me on my travels because he really is that good. He'll take time to explain how the spine works and heals itself, stretching to accommodate injuries + after care, and he's mindful of how to follow-through with adjustments. Not to mention, his service is an affordable rate. He is also one of few chiropractors I've come across than can correctly manipulate joints. This is a chiropractor that not only cares, but wants to teach the individual about their body and how to make life more tolerable.

We had called Shae to help us with Charlie back in October as his disease had gotten really bad. Dr. Dove came out and was exceptional. She was compassionate, not rushed, and helped guide us through the process. When it came time for Charlie, there was no one else we wanted to walk through it again with than Home to Heaven. Shae was outstanding again and Dr. Dove helped us for a second time. The compassion, patience, and love is outstanding. We have had to do this in the past and the care from everyone at Home to Heaven is the only way I would do it. Now our two boys can cause all sorts of trouble in Heaven!
Timberline Animal Hospital is a life saver. My dog had a serious anal gland issue, and the hospital was able to get us in that day. The vet was outstanding with the care provided. I thought the price was very reasonable and would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

My cat Thanos needed an update rabies vaccine and health certificate for a trip he will be taking next week. I was very worried on how he would re-act to getting his shot but the staff was very professional and kind to him. They could see he was stressed and handled it very well making sure he was okay while they did their necessary work.

Dr. Wheeler helped us when it was time for our elderly llama to move on. He was considerate, very knowledgeable, helpful, and very reasonably priced. Dr. Suto is an extremely competent veterinarian. He is great with both animals and their guardians. I have been taking my pets to Chappelle Small Animal Hospital for over 20 years and have been nothing but very pleased with the doctors there. They are thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. I have to admit I have never asked for their power of attorney ? so I have no idea how they would respond to that.
The vets at Campus West Vets were so good to my girl Lucy. They took ample time to talk with me and thoroughly review options, keeping in mind my budget constraints. They showed genuine concern for her and always treated her with love and kindness.
I never write reviews but I am so impressed by this clinic that I felt the need to. I have an extremely anxious dog and taking him anywhere is usually a huge ordeal. Dr.Wolfe and Cat took the extra time and care to help him feel at ease. They were both so gentle and sweet with him that it ended up being one of the better experiences taking him anywhere in public. I didn’t expect that from a vet visit. Watching them work you can tell that they care deeply for these animals. If I could I would give them more stars.

Cathy is the most knowledgeable and experienced teacher in Fort Collins. I’ve been a yoga practitioner for over 20 years and I learn something new in Cathy’s class every time I attend. She is thorough, thoughtful, and can teach anyone. She teaches the Iyengar style of yoga which is very precise about alignment. After years and years of hot and vinyasa style of yoga, I had hit a plateau, and wasn’t feeling a ton of expansion or learning much. In fact I felt like I was hurting myself with so much repetition of poor form. Cathy has helped me in EVERY class to understand yoga on a deeper level and improve my practice and elude pain. Simply put- Cathy is A+, super number 1. Go now my friends!
I really miss practicing at this studio. I moved away a few years ago but I'm still breathing life into the transformation that Moxi Yoga Works incubated. You can expect to really get into the details of each posture, and to be supported while you're there. I truly admire April's gigantic heart and her embrace of every-body that practices in her studio.

I have been going to Robbie for several years and would consider him the best massage therapist I have ever had. Over my many years, I have seen several excellent therapists, who all did good body work, but what makes Robbie truly stand out is his depth of knowledge about how the body works and how to help it work better.
As an example, I had plantar fasciitis issues that he showed me were rooted not in the plantar fascia, but in the surrounding muscle groups. Talking to him is an education in itself, as he is so knowledgeable about how interconnected the body is. No matter what problem I have showed up with each month, he would find a way to make it feel better--whether that was working on the fascia around it, cupping, deep tissue massage, or just showing me some stretches that would take pressure off the problem area.
My most in-depth work with him was on something that I never thought I would be able to fix. Years before, I had partially torn a calf muscle, which had not healed properly, and had been keeping me from getting back to the dancing I enjoyed. In a series of sessions, he was able to break up the old scar tissue and restore the full range of motion to the muscle. It has been amazing to be back to all the activities that I thought were beyond what I would ever enjoy again. I had hesitated to bring it up to him, as I did not believe anything could be done about it, but he found a way.
All this, and as warm and kind an individual as one could want to see. All I can say is that if one is having muscular or breathing problems (he is a Buteyko breathing instructor as well!), he is the man to see.
I've been to 5 different therapists at Amara. There is a range of pressure and stule but all have done a wonderful job. I went in with some pretty serious back pain and am just feeling better and better after each visit with the number of therapists at Amara anyone should be able to find one that works for their situation
I’m so incredibly grateful for Mark Rise and his ability to get me back to doing what I love most running. About seven months ago, I was in a terrible horse accident. My knee was slammed into a metal fence, and a nail punctured it. Not only was my knee seriously injured, but my entire body was tight and in pain from the impact. After just one appointment with Mark, I felt a noticeable difference. He gave me targeted exercises and guidance that truly helped my recovery. With his support, I’ve continued to improve and regain my strength. I can’t thank him enough for helping me get back on my feet and back to running.

I have seen several different therapists at Living Arts Wellness and they are all very caring and concerned about my individual needs at the time of the massage. For example, I do not love being in the neck cradle, and every therapist had suggestions for how to modify and minimize my time in that position. The number of therapists also maximizes times across the clock for getting an appointment at a time of day that works for you! Highly recommend.

We decided to try a series of acupuncture treatments. It was amazing after 5 sessions my pain level dropped significantly and the swelling subsided. I am so grateful for Susan and her practice. I'm glad I was referred to her!!!!
Scott is a miracle worker! I came to see Scott for a hand/thumb injury. I had done Physical Therapy, dry needling, and surgery. None of those did me any good. Scott worked miracles in helping me get the best use possible back in my hand. He also realized that I had some chronic neck, back and headache issues. My chronic pain kept me from being able to work. His amazing work has allowed me to go back to work part-time , and is imperative to keeping my migraines in check, and pain down to a tolerable level. I simply would not be at work at all without his great help!
Threw my back out last Sunday and was in extreme pain. Hugh got me into his office the following morning. Accurately diagnosed condition as SI (sacroilliac joint) dysfunction thanks to too much snow shoveling ! One painless treatment and 24 hours later I’m 80% improved and near normal. Can’t recommend his expertise enough. Do yourself a favor and get in earlier rather than later !

After just my first visit, I experienced huge relief in my neck, back, and feet. My neck hasn't felt normal since a neck injury 5 years ago. It now feels relaxed, and the range of motion is 100% better. My low back feels so much looser and less inflamed as well as my feet. I have had chronic pain for many years, so this experience is really special to me. I see a massage therapist and two chiropractors regularly. Renee was able to get more positive results in one session than years with the others (and they're very good at what they do). My whole system feels energized. I can't wait until my next appointment! I finally feel hopeful about my various injuries. She is kind and warm, and her expertise is top-notch. Her space is welcoming, cozy, and relaxing. I'm so glad I found her, and I highly recommend giving reflexology with her a try. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

I took a driving lesson with an instructor named Bryan Whitaker and he was wonderful. It had been a long time since I was last behind the wheel and he was very reassuring, his demeanor was kind and helpful and I was able to relax into remembering what I already know and just doing my best and it ended up going really well! The other staff I interacted with were also very kind and fun, it was a great experience. I will definitely be continuing to work with them and will be recommending them to others!!
