“2/12 changing my review from one star to 4. Ruth the install manager reached out and refunded the transition cost, 1/2 the baseboard fee (this is absolutely fair because we did need 1/2 removed, just not reinstalled) and then the appliance removal fee.
Appreciate the communication and help getting this resolved.

2/6 Our first install from the Fort Collins store was ok, the 2nd install there was some confusion on the appliance removal fee (we didn’t need anything removed) but that was figured out. The installer was awesome and explained everything well.
The third visit was very disorganized. It was a bedroom install this time, we were charged an appliance removal fee. It was brought up at least 2x that we didn’t have any appliances or beds that need to be removed in this bedroom. It was never removed from the invoice and never refunded.
When install day came we did need help removing the baseboard, initially we thought we would be able to get it removed but had a family emergency that took priority. Even though we told the store we only needed 1/2 the baseboard removed that we were not able to finish and nothing reinstalled we were charged $220 for a removal AND reinstall. The $90 was brought up again and we were told it would be removed and we would pay the difference.

Once the install was completed we noticed the wrong transition had been installed from our tile to the new floor. A flat transition was used when it should have been tapered. We asked for it to be fixed and were told that it would be an additional $45 to order the correct transition. When asked why we had to pay ‘I was told to order that transition, the person who measured never said anything about it.’

I asked both the installer and the sales rep if I could talk to the install manager and never heard back from her. I called the store directly and requested a call back and never heard anything.“

“Kalani at Carpet Exchange (Fort Collins) assisted us in getting our countertop. Coming in three or four times bringing in our flooring and cabinet samples and trying to get everything matched up together. We finally came to the conclusion to use Calacatta Safyra.
Their prices included installation. They were even a lot lower than both Home Depot and Lowe’s
The installation company they use is Stoneworks in Loveland. We went down there to see what quartz slabs they had available and we were able to pick one out to use for our bathroom vanity countertop.
We were told by Carpet Exchange that Installation would be 2 to 3 weeks. Which I thought was very reasonable.
To our surprise we received a phone call from Stonework’s one day after we made our final payment 4/19 to CE, asking us if we have this coming Wednesday 4/22 available for template measurements. Yes. We received another call from Stonework’s requesting a Friday morning installation 4/27. Yes. They showed up on time and did the work.
The plumber installed our vessels and noticed the faucet was putting pressure on the bowl. We call Stonework’s and they sent the installer out next day and fixed it.
From final payment to installation was only 8 days. This is not normal, but I’m happy to see our project completed.

It seems most floor refinishers do not like small jobs but Select was available (unlike some flooring companies that either never returned our call or called weeks later). They were able to schedule the job very quickly and we LOVE the new stain color. Alex and John, who did the work, were great to work with and even returned the day after they’d finished to move an island back into our kitchen so we didn’t have to roll it over the new floor.
