From the moment I walked in the door at Amara, the staff was warm and welcoming so that I felt comfortable throughout my visit.

Beau was an AMAZING therapist and truly attentive. He listened to what my needs were and what I hoped to achieve through my massage. Beau gave me an incredible massage that focused on my needs as I expressed them at the start of the appointment. He was attentive and checked in about pressure levels and other comforts.

When quite unexpectedly I had some painful and rigid muscle cramps during the massage (not caused by it), Beau knew exactly what to do and jumped immediately into action.

Beau was genuinely concerned, assisted me, and immediately focused on solving the problem. He carefully worked the rigid muscles until they finally released and I could move my leg again. He also knew I was terribly embarrassed (anyone would have been) on so many levels. Beau reassured me I was in a safe space and with a safe person so there was no reason for embarrassment.

Beau gave me some suggestions for how to prevent future cramping such as I experienced.

I cannot thank Beau enough for his professionalism and expertise. The rest of the Amara staff were equally amazing. I highly recommend Amara and their staff to anyone seeking excellent massage therapy and looking for a service that treats people like they truly do matter.

I’ve been seeing Emily Mereness for over two years, and after getting massages regularly for nearly 30 years, I can confidently say Emily is the best—hands down! Before finding Amara, I had come to accept that some pain or discomfort during a massage was just part of the experience. Emily completely changed that. She is incredibly skilled and always provides exactly the right amount of pressure without ever causing pain.

Emily is also exceptionally kind and professional. Before every session, she takes the time to check in, ask if anything has changed, and make sure the massage is tailored to what I need that day. That level of care makes such a difference.
