Ivonne at New’d Lash is a master at lashes. Her care and attention to detail are like no one else. I also really appreciate that she is not going to sell you something that will damage your lashes or not work for you.
I came in to have temporary lashes applied for my daughter’s wedding in 3 days. Ivonne very kindly told me that if I did my lashes that day, they might not look as good as they need to at that point, especially for up close photographs. She gave me the option to go ahead and take my chances, do something different or come back the next day. After talking it through and understanding her wealth of knowledge, I opted for a lift and tint with some temporary lashes added next day just for the special event.
I’m so thankful I found Ivonne and feel much more confident in not only having lashes for the wedding but also tinted lashes for the next 6-8 weeks. Thank you Ivonne!

Alyssa has totally changed my relationship with my hair! My hair has always been poofy and difficult to style, but after learning about the curly girl method, I decided to try a curly haircut… and it turns out my hair actually has gorgeous waves that I was brushing out without even realizing it.
Alyssa not only gives great haircuts, she’s also a great teacher. She’s taught me how to style my hair in multiple ways, and before seeing her, I had never used a styling product in my life. She walks me through everything she does step by step so I can replicate it at home, and she even offered to set up my phone and record the process so I could follow along later (which I did!).
On top of all that, Alyssa is a ray of sunshine. She has such great vibes, and her studio does too. Spending time with her always feels like a treat. Sometimes her schedule gets pretty booked up, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. I’m so glad I found her!

We have had One Water Systems for ten years now. The quality of both the equipment and service has always been excellent. It was time to replace the 10-year system with a new system. We were extremely concerned that the water be filtered as we live adjacent to a golf course that is frequently fertilized and water subjecting us to possible run-off. Kevin at One Water acknowledged and was familiar with my concerns and assured me that the system both met my concerns regarding appropriate filtering as well as softening. We now have a new fifteen year system. AND, the price was right!

I usually don't think much about grocery runs, but this Vons honestly makes my day every time I go. I checked out with Julia and David recently and they were cracking jokes and talking with me. I don't even remember exactly what we laughed about, but I walked out smiling like I'd just hung out with friends. They are soooo funny. It made something as routine as grocery shopping feel fun. I always appreciate real human interaction, especially nowadays with so many self-checkouts everywhere. Julia and David are the perfect example of why. They're warm, funny, and make you feel welcome. Lash Lift + Tint ? first off let me start off with how I took a nap because I was just so peacefully relaxed. I got my lashes done a few weeks ago now & they are still looking so good ! She delivered with my requests & slayed it ; I feel so confident & have yet to use my eyelash curler or any mascara! I will be coming back !!

The shop has a very vintage barber shop fee to it. Laid back and a place where clients can come in shot the breeze with the barbers and other clients about whatever game or highlights are playing.
The show is totally dog friendly which I appreciate. They (and most of the block) keep dog bowls out for passers by.

Had my appointment on Valentine's Day with Zenny. I was finally using a giftcard so decided to go with something new. Gel extension with ombré design. Although she was hesitant and up front about her skills with ombré, I have complete faith as she's always done excellent work. And she did! Turned out so pretty! I'm obsessed and now I have plans to come in often so Zenny can practice a new ombreé design so we can get her more confident in future ombré requests ??

I have been seen Angela now for about six months and have loved every visit. She is a true artist and has a beautiful attention to detail. I also feel that my nails are very healthy under the gel as she is very careful and mindful of how she treats my natural nails as well. Also have had a few pedicures from other manicures at the salon and they do a beautiful job. The whole atmosphere is very fun. They always have some fun music playing, and everyone is very kind.
Update 7/31/25 Tracy filled in while Angela was out. She did a fabulous job as well!!! Very detail oriented. Thank you! Just over a week after they were done and they are still looking fabulous adding a photo below. It is the sunshine manicure with the flower details.

I went in to see Susan Ward today for a partial highlight and haircut. I knew what I liked and had one picture for her to reference but other than that I struggled a bit to explain my vision. She was very patient, kind and took the time to understand what I wanted. She was spot on, and I left her feeling overwhelmed with happiness. Got a lash lift and tint with Diana and I’m honestly so happy with how it turned out! She’s super sweet, made me feel really comfortable and even went out of her way to discuss my skin with me. I purchased a LivingSocial coupon to Skin Care Heaven as soon as I moved to San Diego, not knowing that Carlsbad is not quite as close as it seemed. Thus, my lazy self did not want to drive all the way up there, and the coupon expired. However, they were kind enough to still accept it two weeks after the expiration. So I hauled my self up to Carlsbad and got a facial/massage. This was my first facial, and I think it was great. I forgot the names of the ladies who did my facial/massage, but they were both very nice - not pushy at all for upsells, and accommodating to my needs. I'm a bit ticklish, so the masseuse worked around that. It was relaxing and I felt happy afterwards. I probably won't get another facial because my face felt weird afterwards but I think that's because my skin is sensitive. My only qualm with Skin Care Heaven is that it was difficult getting an appointment in because they're pretty busy, but it was a great experience!
Cheryl was incredible!! She did my bridal makeup along with 7 other bridal party makeup on the wedding day. She was easy to work with, made me feel comfortable, and not only listened to what I wanted but executed it perfectly!! I’m not one to wear a ton of makeup so I was nervous having someone else do it and still love how I looked. During the trial she built up the look so I got to see it in different stages and I got to see how I felt after wearing it the rest of the day. I decided to make some changes from the final trial look for the wedding day and she was able to execute it exactly how I wanted it day of. I loved how it turned out and it lasted the whole night too!! Cheryl was a pleasure to work with and have there on my special day! I would highly recommend booking her for your bridal makeup!

This is the go to place for anything wax related. I've had a bikini, lip, eyebrow, and a large patch done (leg) and it's all been good. They haven't raised their prices in forever while everyone else has. Parking here can be challenging so make sure to give yourself enough time. Great owner, good staff, quality service, I definitely recommend.

I have been seeing Ashley for awhile now and she is amazing!! I am having some issues with my muscle and nerves. She always takes time to ask me how I am feeling before every session. She checks in with me with what has been going on with my PT and anything to report from my doctors. She is my life saver. I live in pain on a daily basis and after our 90min session together, I have some relief in my muscles for a couple of days. As someone who is in pain all the time, it helps to feel somewhat normal for those 2 days.

The main reason for my loyalty; The two women at the front desk; Janette and Sylvie are terrific. The massage and facial therapists are top notch; specifically Amy and Christine.

After strolling through the Carlsbad Flower Fields, we found ourselves with a two-hour gap before our dinner reservation—and very tired legs to match. Walking through such a massive, beautiful space was worth it, but we definitely needed a reset.
I remembered coming across a massage spot that had great reviews on Google, so we decided to give them a quick call. Luckily, they were able to fit us in right away, which already felt like a win.
We went for a one-hour couple’s massage, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed. By the end of it, we felt completely refreshed—like we hit a reset button. They really focused on the upper body, which is always where I carry the most tension, so I appreciated that a lot.
Next time we’re in the area, I’d love to try their foot massage as well. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for how satisfying the experience was. Definitely a place I’d come back to after another long day of exploring.

I came in to have temporary lashes applied for my daughter’s wedding in 3 days. After talking it through and understanding her wealth of knowledge, I opted for a lift and tint with some temporary lashes added next day just for the special event.

You can't go wrong with DFL plumbing as they are honest people, which apparently these days is a rare find. Instead of them making holes and breaking concrete guessing or trying to sell me a costly new pipe system he suggested CPL to find the exact leak location. Rubin was able to repair the leak. I have used this company many times. They treat women with respect and kindness. They dont try to over sell and rip you off. I would use them again and again. We had the most amazing experience with Rooter Hero Plumbing! Our 50 year old plumbing system decided to retire without authorization and backed up (you can imagine what) into our new bathroom and toilets. Emergency call and Rooter was there in 3 hours. They quickly identified the problem, were so knowledgeable and thorough. They stayed until almost midnight for the initial phase and the next 2 days over the weekend replacing. I simply can’t say good things about our experience. I would call them anytime in the future asap!!!!
We scheduled an annual hot water tank flush and had a great experience. The company did have to reschedule us but were apologetic and worked around our schedule. Evan was our technician and he did a great job - both with the flush and doing a general evaluation of our pipes, sharing recommendations, etc. Would definitely use them again in the future!

Longboard’s team was awesome to work with. They installed recessed lighting in 4 rooms and moved chandeliers. They minimized disruptions, cleaned up every day and were very accommodating. They were very professional.

Absolutely wonderful! This was our second time using Faster Upholstery & Rug Cleaning and, once again, we’re extremely happy with the results. Scheduling a carpet cleaning appointment was simple and their customer service is top-notch, with clear and helpful updates throughout the process. Luis and Aaron were prompt, courteous, efficient, and respectful of both me and my furnishings. I have a 2600 sq ft home with both carpeting and ceramic tile. A few animal “accidents” made an additional pretreatment necessary. I also took advantage of a discounted grout sealant (I would have added that initially, but it wasn’t offered to me). That made the total about 50% more than the original estimate, so be prepared for the upsell. There was one area that had been bleached by previous cleaning products and they were unable to change that, but overall I’m quite pleased as the remainder of the stains are gone and everything looks and smells great! It was a pleasant experience and I would use ZeroRez again.

Alena Blasio’s design talent is exceptional. She listened to what my vision was and designed a beautiful, beautiful kitchen/family room, two bathrooms and a general remodeling of the house. We have been coming to see Dr. Dabir for almost 10 years and are so thankful to have found this office. Non-routine procedures have been explained with care and completed with compassion and patience to help kids feel at ease, even if that takes a little longer. They are gentle and the kids love coming here because of the fun environment. Life-Changing Care at Gohl Clinic
For almost a year, I struggled with constant numbness and tingling in both arms and my left leg. I saw over 10 chiropractors, physical therapists, and even tried acupuncture—nothing helped. I felt hopeless, depressed, and cried every day. I prayed endlessly for guidance and healing.

Dr Szajowitz (shy•a•vich) is just fabulous. He properly diagnosed me with compressed/degenerative discs in my neck, cervical area. An MRI confirmed his diagnosis. He has helped increase the functioning of my nerves in the arm and hand. I can't recommend him enough. If you are in pain, his sense of humor is also wonderfully distracting!
Dr. Tiffany, hands down, saved me during my pregnancy. I went from being very active during my pregnancy to hardly being able to walk without pain and a limp. I had tried everything to help with my pain and mobility to no avail. I had even seen another chiropractor who didn’t really know how to help me and was unable to provide me any relief. When I found Born and Raised I was skeptical but also just praying someone would know how to help me. From my very first appointment with Dr. Tiffany, she made me feel like there was hope. She took her time to listen to me and my ailments and truly assessed me head to toe. She immediately knew what the issue was and created a plan to help me. Within a few visits, I was walking without a limp again and my pain was significantly reduced. I cannot recommend her enough. She is kind, skillful and so intuitive. I have recommended multiple friends to her, all with great experiences. I would 100% recommend her!! She is amazing.
My daughter is a professional jiu-jitsu fighter. One Saturday she landed on her head during a tournament. She couldn't walk and she was screaming in pain. Dr. Dahl gladly saw her immediately even though she wasn't an existing patient. He was able to realign her back and she walked out the door good as new. The entire office was super caring and made us feel like family. I learned while I was there that he offers free chiropractic for kids on Saturdays! He does what he does out of love. He's not the doctor who will rush you through. When you walk in the office everyone knows your name, just like Norm. It's great!

We were so impressed with Dr. Livezey and all his patient and caring staff. We took our Rescue kitty in for her first visit fully expecting to come home with a prescription for a "calming medicine" and a rebooked appointment. We could not believe they were able to do a dental check, clip her nails, weigh her, give her flea treatment (and taught me how to best do this) as well as spent a lot of time answering our questions and giving her a thorough exam. They are located in central Carlsbad - WITH A PARKING LOT - and are open every day. Best ever!
I cannot begin to thank the Canyon Creek Animal Hospital Staff and Dr. Hall enough for how they helped our pup and our family in a very very stressful time. After just 3 weeks of having our dog he managed to swallow a very large rock, began throwing up, and was very lethargic. We brought him in to see Dr. Hall who examined him, advised us of all our options, and helped us make a well informed decision in a very scary time. Dr. Hall prioritized the health of our dog, re-arranged her schedule, and rushed our pup into surgery so that we could have the best possible outcome. And with all of that she still gave us a detailed breakdown of cost and helped to make it as affordable as possible. I loved the studio, the classes are great and there are a lot of classes, the teachers are friendly and cool. I only did a month because I was on vacation here but I recommend it
While visiting from Canada I wanted to keep up my regular practice. I'm so pleased to have found PLAY . The heat was perfect and teachers are amazing. When I come back to Carlsbad I will certainly practice at this studio!

Such a welcoming environment and a great traditional Pilates workout. I stopped by for a class while on vacation in Carlsbad and enjoyed the atmosphere of this studio.
I have trained with Denise at Fit Monkeys for about a year. She is extremely professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and cool. I had some body pain and she went above and beyond to help me get it sorted. She did research, modified our workouts, and gave me practical homework. I’m no longer in pain and when it flares up momentarily I use it as a reminder to do the moves Denise taught me. My goals were strength, stability, overall health. I believe I am in the best shape of my life because of my work with Denise. I have worked with several trainers and have never gotten this level of knowledgable support. I cannot recommend this studio enough!! If you’re looking to get out of pain, get in shape, move your body in a mindful way this is the place!!
This was my first reformer Pilates class and Madi was very welcoming and her instructions made it easy to follow the class. I enjoyed my first class and looking forward to taking reformer Pilates this year. I would recommend and looking forward to my next class.
Life changing, heart opening!
From the bottom of my heart, working with Shannon has changed my life. I’m 32 and three years ago, I was having debilitating neck and back pain. I was working with a chiropractor, massage therapist and acupuncturist, and I’m a certified yoga teacher.
Still, I found myself in the ER/urgent care every other month to receive steroidal injections and painkillers. As someone who values a more natural approach to wellness, my doctor recommended (actually prescribed) Pilates. He said, “I bet you’ll be in here a lot less if you try it.” And he was right.
I found Shannon via Instagram when I was living in La Costa. After a quick phone call and preliminary session, I was hooked. We started slow and easy because I was rehabbing so many injuries and over the last three years have built our way up to more challenging and advanced pilates.
Everything from classical to experimental, there’s never a dull moment with Shannon—she’s the best. I recently was re-examined by my chiropractor, and they said they were shocked by how much my spinal issues improved — there are nearly no lingering signs of scoliosis, and I owe it to Pilates in Aviara!

Jackie was amazing. I am from Texas visiting family and was running on some hills that I'm not used to. Jackie helped with the pain in my legs, back, and chronic shoulder pain and I feel much better now. I've had many massages from many therapists over the last 20 or so years and Jackie knows what she is doing. I'll definitely see her again when I am back in town.
I love this place so much! I am always able to get in on the same day with relatively short notice and every massage therapist is skilled and professional. Linda is my go-to she is amazing! I highly recommended East Holistic for massage.

I've been having some lower back pain and she knew exactly where to work and used just the right amount of pressure. And being able to lay on my stomach was a huge plus! Best massage I’ve ever had and I’ve had many! Samantha is truly so talented, hardworking and passionate about the work she does. A true body expert who hires other real-deal massage therapists who take a real professional interest in everyone they work with. Each session I walk out really changed. I have a lot of medical needs so Samantha, Claudia, and Erin have all really helped me with various health issues that have been really life-changing. From gentle therapy, to really getting under the hood of my body and changing things for the better. Lymphatic massage here as well is excellent and you should be careful where you go for such work.

Impossible to explain what an amazing experience this was. It wasn't easy to get my first deep tissue myofascial massage work done at 67. But that was what I asked for, and what the surgeon and I agreed needed to be done! The bodywork was intense but it was WELL WORTH the result. I was exhausted for two days (but strangely not bruised or tender) from all the toxin release. My life is pretty much changed - as I have more energy and stamina - stand straighter and feel MUCH BETTER!!! I was heading towards another surgery and now I am not....Going back as soon as I can! I've had several experiences with PT and this is the first time it is has actually benefitted me. I had back surgery in January, and hip replacement in May, plus progressive knee pain, so I was a mess and a total wreck when I first started. The good news is today I feel better than I have in many years. Kristen Lopez is a wonderful trainer. Kimberley was recommended to me by a friend several years ago after I had been dealing with residual recovery issues following multiple fractures and nerve damage in my foot. I was extremely apprehensive to see an acupuncturist after a very bad experience the first time, but Kimberley reassured me that this would not be the same experience - and she was right! She took time in our initial assessment to not only understand the primary reason for my visit, but also to gain an understanding of my complete health profile and any other concerns I may want to address. Her approach was very comprehensive, including not only traditional acupuncture, but also providing educational materials and nutritional guidance. She was also realistic about what acupuncture can help with and what it can't. For my injury, certain things just take time. I'm pleased that after just a few visits I saw a marked improvement in several aspects of my recovery and have implemented routine acupuncture as part of my whole body wellness.
Fast forward a few years and I found myself in need of more acute acupuncture this past Fall. I couldn’t possibly see anyone but Kimberley. She was still just as amazing as the first time I saw her and I’d still recommend her to anyone who wants a thorough, thoughtful, effective acupuncturist.

My wife's review: Leslie is such a blessing to my life! I went to her with insane hormone problems, anxiety, and inability to sleep through the night without sleeping pills. Cantor’s came highly recommended to us by multiple friends and neighbors. We had an excellent experience with David Jacobsen as our instructor. David did a great job of connecting with our teenage son. After. The first lesson, my son requested that all his lessons be with David. My son said that Dave was able to calmly explain things in a way that made sense. I think that’s about the highest compliment one can get from a teenager. Thanks to Dave I feel confident about having a teenage driver in the family.

This review is a few months late but this company is Outstanding and definitely not your typical driving school. I have four kids and so we tried many local Driving Schools over the years (AAA, Bakkers, Cantor's, Alliance, and even Coastline Academy). I'm a race driver by profession, so I may have high standards but I've always tried to teach my kids the safest driving possible. Unfortunately, what these companies were teaching was absolutely ridiculous and some of the Instructors were horrible with no real experience of their own. I finally found TRTS through a racing friend of mine and I could not be happier with the results. Everything I have taught my children and more was being taught by the instructors. My last sons instructor, Marc was one of the most professional, fun, and knowledgeable people I've ever worked with. He not only taught my Son how to Drive Safely but provided real-life examples of what happens on the streets when you don't.
Far too many teens are being killed every year from poor driving & distracted driving. If you want the Best for your kids, you must seek out the Best! Not only did this company come through for my family, but they also kept our privacy a priority throughout the curriculum. Thank you Marc & TRTS. You are Fantastic!!!
The training at West Coast Driving School is top notch! Very organized and reliable. Great communication between the instructor and students too! Regina was a wonderful teacher and my daughter passed her test in the pouring rain at the Oceanside DMV on her first try!
