She's a terrific listener, thoughtful, gracious and clearly really, really knows what she's doing. For me, a cut not only has to look good but, even more importantly, has to feel right on my head. I have been getting my nails done by Jen for months now and I am always so impressed by the quality of her work. The shape is lovely, they are WAY thinner than what I had before and AMAZING STRENGTH!!! I NEVER get lifting between fills, even the ONLY time I managed to break a corner of one of my thumb nails trying to get a drain plug out of a sink that was stuck. I clean for a living and don’t always wear gloves so my hands take a beating. But my nails are always beautiful and in tact. I haven’t gotten the same design twice because I love to get fun designs and I always love what she does!!! HUGHLY RECOMMEND ?

I used to go see Ene for my gel polish manicures and gel polish change when I lived in Victoria, and was always very happy with the results. She is very careful, diligent, and my manicures lasted for a few weeks without chipping.

It was my first time going to this salon. The booking process was easy - called the salon and spoke to Marilou and was able to get an appointment booked for me and my kiddo within the same week.
On the day of the appointment, we were greeted well with staff and a clean salon. Our stylist was Marilou. She did an amazing job in cutting and styling my kiddos hair as well as mine. Her recommendation for my hair was excellent. She is very friendly and professional and for our first time there we were impressed. Marilou was also super caring. My kiddo had a nose bleed while at the salon and she had made sure to address the situation and was still able to continue working on my hair. We were met with great talent and hospitality at this salon!

We were lucky enough to secure Ten Fifteen Beauty for our wedding last October and we would not have it any other way!
The Ten Fifteen team readily took on hair and make-up for two brides and bridal parties that wished to keep everything a surprise until the first look, meaning that they accommodated extra travel and the swapping of the hair and makeup teams between two locations to get everything done!
Everyone, the two brides especially, loved the way their hair looked! One bride (me) had very little idea of what to do with her hair, but Tarah stepped up to the plate and created the perfect vision - even trimming a few bits of fringe on the day to pull the look together!
The makeup specialist, Kennedy, was able to highlight her skills in both colourful and dramatic makeup (Bride #1) as well as enhancing soft natural features (Bride #2) - both looking absolutely stunning and feeling exactly like themselves.
Personally, I have never felt so beautiful as I did with the Ten Fifteen Beauty Weddings team and hope to soon become a regular at the salon!

MY FEET. Lots of people comment on the more intimate services offered. But I have to tell you that Foot Fix is amazing. Doug is less expensive than the Podiatrist. Doug gives me a one hour treatment that leaves me walking on air and nails trimmed. Not to mention that we are going to defeat the dreaded toe fungus. Gentlemen, treat yourselves, start with your feet! Who knows where it may lead.

Earlier this year I got married and I had Vixen Beauty do make up for myself, my 4 bridesmaids, and even my 6 year old flower girl. This was based on a recommendation from my daughter as she used her when she got married last year, and I'm so glad we were able to book her. She was so professional and was able to get us all taken care of in plenty of time. This was my first experience with having my make up done professionally, and I felt like a princess. I spotted a stunning portrait tattoo that stopped me in my tracks one day...It then led me to Nick's studio in 2023. In April 24 he did a memorial portrait of my son. He did an incredibly accurate depiction of him. He successfully captured the expression of my son's beautiful loving sense of humour with how he tattooed the light shining in his eyes!! Wow! What a wild experience that was!
The following year Nick did a magical black & gray West Coast themed arm sleeve for me and it's exquisite! Then I started dreaming of the winged horse, Pegasus. Nick's vision for my chosen placement of his art has exceeded my expectations, yet again!

A few years ago Dave and his crew from Island builders turned our 60-year-old kitchen and dining room from a 1960s worn-out eyesore into an open-concept, very modern, gorgeous living space. It was a big job of removing walls, installing hidden support beams, and blending the new with the old. The customized kitchen turned out beautiful and maximized every inch of space.
Since then we moved to a strata were I became a councilmember. There were a few large and complex projects that our strata was having issues getting done (done well and on time) for a few years . I introduced the council to Dave and Island Builder. They put in a bid that was competitive and not the lowest price. Island Builders was hired, did the work, and was asked to continue on with similar projects. The work was high quality, done in a very timely manner, well managed (again!).

Accutemp was pleasant to work with; they were able to schedule the install fairly promptly despite being the busy season, and got it done in a day. Since then the heat pump has functioned very well, keeping a large upper storey room cool on hot evenings. They were also very prompt and accommodating in dealing with a permit issue that arose from the subcontractor, making it as painless as possible. Happy to say that I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Three years ago I was diagnosed with achilles tendinitis after an injury playing slow pitch. I rehabbed the injury and I slowly recovered. Since then I stopped slow pitch but play tennis 4-5 times per week. The achilles felt normal, but I was still experiencing discomfort in my knees, hips, and lower back. I talked to Dr Louie about the injury and other accompanying discomforts. She suspected it might be plantar fasciitis/bone spurs. She recommended stretches and exercises concentrating on my feet. She also opened my eyes to the importance of quality footwear that provided a wider toe box and loosening the laces. For the most part I am pain free. I still occasionally feel some knee, hip, and lower back discomfort if I don't build in recovery time, but that discomfort has been significantly reduced thanks to Dr Louie's expertise. Highly recommended.

My experience with Marina at Wholistic Chiropractic and Wellness has been extremely positive. I came to her by way of a friend and I am thankful to both of them. The reason for my treatments with her is because I’ve had a great deal of shoulder range of motion limitations and related pain this year. Marina is one of the few practitioners who were not convinced by another practitioner’s diagnosis that my issues were frozen shoulder. While my age is appropriate for frozen shoulder, and the path of limitations matched, not everything lined up with that diagnosis. She remained supportive and positive about my situation and recovery.
While looking at the whole body and honing in on a few problematic areas, Marina’s treatments have been focused primarily on my upper thoracic spine, and that translates out to my upper limbs, including my shoulder. After every treatment, I have an increased range of motion from the initial assessment from when I came in that day. It isn’t always a major change, but little by little they have added up, and in the couple of months since we started working together, I am at a significant improvement in my ability and range of motion. I’m not out of the woods yet, but her work with me has been very positive and instrumental to my recovery. Her treatments have been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before with other chiropractors. My initial treatments were very intense and frequent in order to help the neurological changes stay, and then at the 70% or so improvement stage, we began spacing out the treatments to see if we can get to a maintenance level. This approach was ideal and for the best - I don’t regret this approach even though I ran through my benefits faster. It was better than spacing out the sessions and basically having to start from scratch each time. While I do have a great support team that includes my naturopath, physiotherapist, massage therapist, and acupuncturist, Marina’s treatments have been among the biggest help to my recovery and progress. She has a no nonsense and practical approach, and her knowledge, experience, and passion shine through in her work.Trust the process.

The dogs have had everything under the sun from emergencies, surgeries, annual routine check ups, etc. The caring communication and treatment of my pets is commendable. We’ve had mixed experiences at Feltham. We’ve been with them for 8 years now. Dr Houston is incredible. From what I’ve experienced, I wouldn’t recommend the other vets. Their care club plan is a great deal if you need to get your dog’s teeth cleaned. Comparing prices, they are the best price in town.

McKenzie Vet for years. I don't love that they're owned by a corp now but I have not noticed a chance in service. Various doctors and the techs continue to put in extra effort during appointments. My dog is unfortunately very anxious, which makes appointments really tough. During his last checkup, the techs sang to him to get him relax to take his blood! It would've been easy to say sorry we can't take his blood today, but they didn't. Another time I think Dr. Vega and the techs tried for 30+ mins to successfully do an x-ray. I've also never felt that they are just trying to take our money. And reception is fantastic!
Julia is such a wonderful groomer. My dog can be nervous with grooming, and Julia is always gentle, patient, and kind with her. She is incredibly professional and thorough every time. I trust her completely and couldn’t recommend her enough!

Lesley always does a fantastic job with my Misiu's groom! Switched to Fernwood Grooming after having a few too many close calls with other groomers cutting my pomeranian's hair too short. Haven't looked back since and I'm always really happy with the work they've done.
He's a nervous guy, too, but I can tell when I pick him up that he's calmed down quite a bit. It helps that she gives him treats and he gets to spend time with her dogs, too. :)

As someone that has been strength training for over 20 years and has received many deep tissue massages, Nicole surpassed my expectations. Her holistic approach was unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
Even as I write this review, the intense pain I was experiencing in my lower neck/upper back several hours ago is all but disolved. She is highly skilled, grounded, and an absolute joy to work with.

She is the only massage therapist I have ever been to that made me feel like I was being healed vs just treated. I just had my 2nd massage w Aldwin and it was A-ma-zing!!
I did deep tissue the first time and let me tell ya it was super deep but Aldwin was excellent at gauging my response and when to lighten up. It is rare that a Massage makes a big difference for me other than relaxing me for the rest of the day.
After having my second massage with him, I can feel the deep changes that are happening already.
I chose a hot stone massage the second time and Aldwin used some different techniques, as well as stretches that were very effective. Aldwin is kind, professional respectful, has a warm personality, which makes it very easy to relax in his lovely studio.

I have been going to Acuity Acupuncture for a few years now for back related issues. Recently Owen told me about a treatment for seasonal allergies that he could apply while he attended to my usual back treatment.
It has been completely life-changing. Ever since I moved to Victoria 20 years ago I always suffered with springtime seasonal allergies. This is the first year that I have been mostly symptom free since the treatment I had in March.
Owen is a very knowledgeable acupuncture practitioner who prioritizes the comfort and well-being of his clients above all. I highly recommend seeing him for your aches and pains, or even just to get the seasonal allergy protocol! Well done, Acuity!
Genevieve Bussieres is an extraordinarily skilled practitioner of acupuncture, traditional Chinese massage therapy, and reflexology. I've seen her for two separate conditions -- persistent chronic upper-body injuries, and neuropathy/numbness in both feet. She made more progress on these than five other practitioners I've seen for them (all good, in various specialties -- physio, massage, rolfing). She listens carefully, diagnoses precisely, treats effectively, doesn't over-promise, always over-delivers. She also uses time effectively (moves fast but gently), and is totally pleasant and straightforward to deal with. I would -- and do -- travel a long distance to Victoria just to get treated by her.
Gen is amazing! She’s so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what she does. She works closely with you in such a positive, thoughtful way to really figure out what’s going on and help fix it. I can’t recommend her enough!

Luna has been an absolute rock in my journey through managing and getting ahead of my endometriosis. I have been dealing with endometriosis pain for well over a decade, on an average month I sat at a 12/10 on the pain scale. With nothing able to take the pain off, it became a debilitating part of my life and affected nearly every aspect of my day-to-day living.
I have spent the last year and a half working with Luna, primarily focusing on my endo and planning our sessions around my cycle to support longer-term, sustainable pain relief. Luna’s approach feels thoughtful, informed, and genuinely tailored to what my body needs, it is not a one-size-fits-all solution.
When discussing endometriosis with other healthcare professionals, it is very rarely taken seriously. It began to feel like the standard to be told to just take a painkiller, use a hot pack, and keep moving. With Luna, my pain is acknowledged and treated with care and attention, which has made a meaningful difference not just physically, but mentally as well.
I am now regularly sitting at a 4/10 on the pain scale during my cycle, an extremely manageable level that feels much closer to what I imagine standard period-related pain to be. I finally feel like I have some control back, and that alone has been life-changing.

’ve been seeing Joo Ja and Kevin for acupuncture and cupping for years, and I can honestly say no one else compares. Their treatments are so much more than just acupuncture — every session includes needling, massage, and cupping, and you leave feeling a huge difference.
I’ve gone to them during pregnancy and postpartum for muscle soreness, carpal tunnel, and numbness after trying other therapies that didn’t help much. Their treatments actually worked. Every time I leave, I feel better long term.
They’re also just genuinely kind people who make every visit comfortable and enjoyable. You can tell they really care about their clients. I can’t believe I waited this long to write a review. Highly recommend them to anyone considering acupuncture or cupping
I recently took driving class from Mr. Waseem and successfully completed my road test . I must appreciate the efforts and dedication he shows towards training his students. He made sure to clarify each and every rule and regulation to ensure that I have the knowledge and practical exposure to clear the test and also drive safely in future. I highly recommend him in case someone is looking for driving classes in Victoria.
I already had driving experience but from a left hand traffic country, so learning right hand traffic under Nithin felt like starting over in some ways. He was incredibly patient through that transition. I made a bunch of mistakes while adjusting, some minor, some pretty major and scary, but I don't remember him ever getting mad or making me feel nervous about it. He'd just calmly point out what went wrong and correct it, no drama at all.
He also notices the smallest details in how you're driving, and whenever things started going wrong he was right there to help out.
I'd recommend him to anyone, whether you're a complete beginner or switching traffic systems like I did. You will get your license, and you'll actually learn to drive properly and safely, not just pass the test.
Shehzad is an incredible instructor! He built my confidence faster than I ever expected, gave me tons of practical tips, and laid out a clear game plan from day 1. He told me I'd be road test ready sooner than I thought, and I didn't believe him at first. But I passed on my very first attempt, all thanks to him. Beyond being a fantastic instructor, he's also got great banter and made every lesson fun. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend the Novice Rider and the Traffic Skills courses! Instructors are top notch, the curriculum is excellent, and you can go from not knowing anything about riding a motorcycle to feeling confident and in control doing 90 km/h on the Pat Bay Highway in just a few weekends!
I recently received my Class 5 License and Munir Madam's guidance was instrumental in my journey. She is an extremely knowledgeable instructor and explained every single details, including parking, lane merging, highway merging, and following the rules of driving in British Columbia.
Munir Madam's son and husband are also extremely proficient instructors, and they focus on not just passing the test, but also on becoming safe drivers.

I had such a great experience with my driving lessons at Joan Wallace Driving School. As a complete beginner who had never driven before, I was honestly very nervous at the start. I was also hesitant because I felt like I was the oldest in my class with no prior driving experience. I’m really grateful that my husband booked the GLP course for me because it helped me understand the theory behind driving and what it truly means to be a safe and responsible driver.
A big thank you to Sir John for making me feel comfortable and at ease in the classroom. The lessons were very informative and helped me understand the importance of road rules and regulations and how to become a safe driver.
Most of all, I’m incredibly thankful to my driving instructor, Larry — you’re the best instructor ever! ❤ He was very patient, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout my learning journey. He guided me step by step, from basic driving skills to understanding traffic signs, which really boosted my confidence.
