About Vancouver Island Safety Council
The Vancouver Island Safety Council (VISC) is a well-known organization on Vancouver Island that specializes in motorcycle rider training. Since 2012, VISC has focused on this training, introducing over 300 new students each year to the excitement of riding. The Novice training program offers at least 8 extra hours beyond the ICBC Certified minimums, and the two-day traffic course is the longest in British Columbia. Reviews highlight the excellent course duration and the patience of the instructors, making students feel confident on their bikes. Many former students report feeling well-prepared, able to pass their ICBC Road Test on the first try. VISC is highly recommended for anyone looking to learn to ride safely and sensibly. The instructors, Greg, Heather, Ron, Dave, and Jeremy, are praised for their expertise, personable approach, and ability to tailor advice to each student's needs, building their skills and confidence for safe riding.
Highly recommend the Novice Rider and the Traffic Skills courses! Instructors are top notch, the curriculum is excellent, and you can go from not knowing anything about riding a motorcycle to feeling confident and in control doing 90 km/h on the Pat Bay Highway in just a few weekends!
I am a better rider and have some of my restrictions removed now….
Thanks to a super amazing team at Vancouver Island Safety Council
Jeremy Rimmer, Ian Millam and the iconic Lisa Best…. You made these last few weekends very informative and fun.
Excellent course, did both Novice course and the Traffic course in two weeks. Very intense, but that really help building up my confidence and skills on riding. Feeling grateful for all my enthusiastic and knowledgeble instructors, Blake, Murray, Deb and Jeremy 🙏
