We've brought our small old dog to
McKenzie Vet for years. I don't love that they're owned by a corp now but I have not noticed a chance in service. Various doctors and the techs continue to put in extra effort during appointments. My dog is unfortunately very anxious, which makes appointments really tough. During his last checkup, the techs sang to him to get him relax to take his blood! It would've been easy to say sorry we can't take his blood today, but they didn't. Another time I think Dr. Vega and the techs tried for 30+ mins to successfully do an x-ray. I've also never felt that they are just trying to take our money. And reception is fantastic!
We recently switched our cats, Bella (13) and Orion (11 months), to McKenzie Veterinary Services, and we couldn’t be happier.
After some not-so-great experiences elsewhere, finding Dr. Vega has been such a relief. From our very first visit, he made us feel listened to, respected, and confident that our cats were getting excellent care.
Bella is not what you would call an enthusiastic veterinary patient, and Dr. Vega has been incredibly patient, gentle, and understanding with her. Orion had his first visit today, and we were equally impressed with the kindness and care he received.

Thank you to Dr. Reid Danielsen. He saw my senior dachshund ,Julian, today. He was so kind and knowledgeable. I have had many dogs and many different vet visits over the years. This one definitely ranks at the top.
