“Julie, who answered the phone, was seriously knowledgeable about fireplaces, got me a next day appointment and I was not optimistic… but Tristan showed up, repaired the fireplace in an instant, told me what was wasn’t working and how to override it manually, cleaned the inside and the glass, and sprayed the background which was tarnished, and then vacuumed up after himself. I never write reviews but this was the service a person can only dream of. Thank you Julie and Tristan - you both rock!“

“Life Mechanical is fantastic! My tenants discovered on returning from Christmas holidays that the gas fireplace in their townhouse had turned itself off. They couldn't get it to start, despite changing the batteries. ARC Fireplace wasn't able to send anyone for two weeks but recommended Jim at Life Mechanical. Jim came the next day and quickly got the fireplace working. He also cleaned the glass! When he was leaving he noticed the thermostat on the wall wasn't working. He confirmed the electric baseboards were functional, and then advised on how to replace the thermostat. He was helpful, thorough and very pleasant! I will definitely call Life Mechanical again, and highly recommend this company.“

“I have had occasion to use Northern Star Plumbing Gas Service twice in the last month - once for a gas issue and once for a plumbing issue. In both cases, the technicians went above and beyond what was asked. The tech for the gas stove issue was also able to convert my grill to run on my natural gas hook up even though that was something that just came up in conversation and wasn't previously scheduled. The tech for the plumbing issue was able to think outside the box to make the necessary repairs in a way that did not require shutting the water off to the whole strata and also came back in to double check the water pressure before he left.I highly recommend Norther Star Plumbing Gas Service and plan to use them for all my future gas and plumbing repair needs.“

“At the start of Summer our Rinnai natural gas wall heater started acting up and we called Heatwave as they were who we originally purchased the unit from. Over the Summer Bren made several trips to our residence to try and sort out the problem. The travel associated with the service calls alone probably totaled over $1000. Nevertheless, it was a struggle to deal with the manufacturer, despite Bren’s best efforts and nothing he tried seemed to fix the unit. As the weather started to change and because this was our only source of heat we were starting to get nervous as Fall approached. It was here that Heatwave stepped up and offered to just eat the cost of the service calls and to sell us a new until at cost. This is the type of customer service that is lacking nowadays and it was greatly appreciated. In my opinion Heatwave went above and beyond to make this right and they deserve your business.“

Once the ducts were installed, I didn’t hesitate to get Foster Heating to fire up my existing furnace again. They were quick to send a technician out to do this. Price was VERY reasonable and I highly recommend them.“

“I called Shawn (who was recommended by a friend) on Christmas Eve in a panic with a busted hot water tank.Even though he was unable to assist over the holidays due to staffing and closures, he was incredibly helpful on the phone and gave names of other places to call, places to avoid and prices we should expect to get quoted.We ended up doing without a new tank over the Christmas break and lined up a replacement with CityWide when they were able to fit us in. Jordan was helpful via email in ensuring the tank would fit into our crawlspace and Brian was quick and efficient when he came to install the tank.After nearly 5 days with no water we are grateful to have a working hot water tank and very happy with the service.Edit - our new tank ended up having a faulty thermostat. Shawn, Jordan and the Citywide team were very responsive and helpful in determining the issue and getting it fixed ASAP.Five Stars for service and follow through from Citywide!“
