It also has unique features that very few salons, if any, in B’ham have: moveable salon station chairs and wash basin chairs so wheelchairs can be accommodated. This makes a huge difference for ADA clients.

The process of going back to long hair from short sucks. Mine had been stuck in the awkward, Lord Farquaad stage of that process for longer than I anticipated, and it was really dragging me down. I figured I'd come in and get it reshapen enough so that I could live with it for the time being.
But, Marlene worked nothing less than straight up magic - I LOVE my new hair! Besides doing an incredible job, she was very approachable, fun to talk to, and made sure I was comfortable in every step of the process. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending to others!

I got a haircut from Kelly Bird and it completely transformed my look and the way I treat my hair in the best way possible. She was extremely helpful with styling and product tips as well as just general hair care tips. I got my cut about a month ago and my grow out is still looking great. I cannot recommend this salon and specifically Kelly enough.
Rene has been cutting my hair for a couple years. I love how she brings the natural curl out of my hair. She doesn't try to up sell hair products and the salon has a nice tropical feel with live plants and decor.

I walked in and Diane was very gracious in welcoming me in same day. Right away I felt very comfortable as Diane talked to me. I was pretty specific in what I asked for, and am a little disappointed to see that what I got isn’t really at all what I asked for. Still, she clearly knows how to make hair look nice and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t.

I had been searching for a good stylist for my 5 year old daughter's very curly, C3 hair. Busy B's was the right choice! Bernard was patient and gentle with her. It took a long time to get through her thick curls, but he kept her comfortable and did a great job on her haircut. I've taken her to other stylists in Bellingham that charged 2-3x as much for less quality work. Highly recommend!

It’s amazing, it’s natural, the smell is great, Piper, the owner is very professional, friendly, and offers excellent information, advice, and customer service when you order! I’ve been looking for a new nail salon. Based on online reviews, I found Deb at her salon, Honey Nails, to be highly recommended. Surprisingly, she had an opening today (New Year’s Day). She did incredible work, was very easy to talk with and brainstorm nail ideas with, and has the cutest dog to keep you company. When I got home, my husband exclaimed, “Whoa! Those nails are EPIC!” Safe to say I found my new nail place.

I just left my pedicure appointment and it was my first time there. I'm a nail technician of 35 years and I am very particular. I have to say Katia gave the best pedicure I've had in YEARS. Since the spa at the Chrysalis stopped nails. I will say it want a traditional spa experience as there was a television on loud and a child there watching a loud show so next time I'll bring head phones. Thar aside, this isa quality Pedi. I'm not going anywhere else from now on. She did a great job, attentive to details, and up to par on sanitation which is hard to find.
My daughter, mother, and I went for mani-pedis. I hadn't been there before and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service--definitely more of a spa experience than your regular nail salon. Pedicure came with a paraffin wax treatment and hot stone massage. My daughter really, really wanted acrylic nails and I told her no, because I'd only made an appointment for the basic service, but they were easily able to accommodate her. The staff was super friendly and professional--we'll definitely be going back!

From the very start, she went above and beyond — a week before my appointment, she asked for photos of my current skincare routine and helped me identify products that were likely doing more harm than good. The day of the facial itself was just as impressive. She took time to talk through my goals and lifestyle, and I genuinely felt like I learned something. The facial was incredible — it smelled amazing, felt even better, and I walked out absolutely glowing.

I recently took a dermaplaning course with Ms.LaKrista and I got certified the same day. I got a beautiful kit with way more items than I expected and was given a in depth lesson about the service. Devin is also the dude! Love his takes on american trad - I've mainly picked out his flash pieces, but we recently did some custom work and could not be happier with how he executed on my idea. Importantly, all the work he's done for me has healed fantastic, only requiring minor touch ups.

Travis and James replaced a complicated waste plumbing connection that involved cracked old clay tiles, PVC, and galvanized pipe and in the process discovered an incorrectly connected shower drain which they also replaced. They were punctual, professional and a pleasure to work with.

I'll save you the gross images of a clean out pipe explosion that Gary's team, Will & Isreal, came as a emergency call on a Friday late afternoon to diagnose and start working. Then returned first thing Saturday morning to hydrojet the line multiple times. I was thankful for the explanations both men offered so I understood the problems and next steps throughout the process. They went above and beyond to clean the line and the yard, leaving my yard in much better shape. This stuff never happens at a good time, and I appreciated the communication from the whole team and their efficiency to move the clean out and up along.
I had my sump pump inspected before the rainy season starts and I am very happy with the service I received. Shawna called to let me know they were on the way. Daniel and his partner (sorry didn't catch his name) showed up on time. They worked efficiently and were both very kind and professional. They closed everything up just as they found it. I called Elite Electrical yesterday because I was trying to solve a problem with a problematic older install lighting issue where lights had historically cut out or blinked. I was having trouble sussing it out and got frustrated and called Elite. The employee at Elite on the phone quoted me the cost to have someone come out, which was more reasonable than another place I've used in the past, but had to check the schedule. While talking she asked a few questions which actually inspired me to keep troubleshooting myself. After having swapped a dimmer pack, I finally figured out the original back can was intermittent. I was able to get a replacement can installed that afternoon and now all my buggy light issues are gone. While Elite did not come out and do physical work for me this time, the quality of the phone care saved me an electrician visit, and their quote for the hour was better than another place I called so I will likely try them next time.

Accurate Lock and Security is a terrific provider of locksmithing services. They have been able to duplicate many 1990’s vehicle keys for me with high quality original American blanks. They are fair, honest, and upfront with their work: they have serviced my 20+ year old vehicles with worn tumblers while keeping me informed about different possible outcomes.
They have also helped me with a locking mailbox at work, giving me different options for security locks and hardware, while working around the original hardware/setup.

Swansen's has cleaned our carpets for years. We have very old, light-colored carpets with a pet. Without Swansen's we would have had to replace these carpets years ago. A professional and courteous company that gets the job done promptly and effectively.

There were a couple of work orders the apartment manager wanted professional help with. John was great! On time, thorough, experienced and easygoing. While he deferred attic evaluation and repairs to the apartment maintenance crew, he was able to get the bath fan working at the wall switch. It was the first time I’ve seen the switch working. If it continues to operate, he believed it may help the continuous airflow failure (by the TP square test) at the vent updraft. We are very grateful he tried to repair connections on the wall electrical box. On a separate issue, John showed us why it would be too costly a repair. As it happens, and remarkably, when John arrived the problem had resolved to a usable state. He explained that weather changes, continued foundation settling and fixed building materials in the construction could continue to make changes to this problem. John demonstrated capability and foresight. He would be fantastic on a walk through for folks looking to buy a new home. I would hire him!

Because we were not available on site Freddy sent picture updates along the way. When issues arose Freddy came up with solutions and made sure we were satisfied. A1 recently completed a renovation at my home that touched every room and most major systems. I appreciated their attention to each stage of the project and was very happy that a great initial design meant no costly change orders - good for my strict budget. Further, the team went above and beyond to work around myself and my animals during the renovation, (the dog was fine, but the cats...). It was the best experience one could hope for with a project of this scope.
Most other reviewers have touched upon A1's excellent work and support. While I concur with those reviews, I would like to mention their excellence in communication/problem solving as well. For a project of this scope, both in terms of amount of work and time involved, there will be mistakes, misunderstandings, etc., such as differences in the scope of work/contract words versus the project drawings. There could also be mistakes in ordering by the home owner, contractor or supplier. These are but two examples of possible friction points.
My renovation was no different, but A1 handled my issues with professionalism and courtesy. We both used the scope of work as our guide and reached easy compromises based upon commonsense solutions to each problem. For example, I remember standing with the project supervisor and installation technician as we realized the wrong (both in type and size) fireplace insert had been installed. (Many groans were heard that day.) Referring to the ordering information confirmed the mistake by the supplier, so A1 removed and returned the incorrect item, rebuilt the fireplace structure to the correct size and installed the correct insert. No fuss at all.
In sum, if you are looking for a builder whose work and support is excellent, but also handles all of the issues that arise during a renovation with true consideration, then A1 is for you.

These guys are great. Built us a fence for a garbage enclosure, which looks great and works exactly as we need it to. They also cleaned up behind our building which was turning into a jungle, and it was spotless by the time they were done. Very impressed.

This is the 3rd time we've asked Rawls to protect us and our property. We had several trees that needed thinning, large limbs removed and sprucing up. They also completely took down two that were encroaching on a utility and near the house. I would invite them back in a heartbeat.
William and his assistant pruned several trees for us. Everything was cleaned up! Great job and so very nice. Before and after pictures of my biggest tree, a flowering plum.
I had 3 large hemlocks close to my house removed and one stump removed. John and his crew did a great job of felling the trees, split into rounds, chipped all the limbs, final cleanup. This was a big job and they were able to do it in 2 days. I will call John for my future tree needs.

Had a wonderful experience today with Dr Jill Tetrick, her assistant, and front office staff. Last night while flossing a crown popped off. My dentist is out of town, and I spent a little time this morning calling around looking for someone that could bond it back on. At the recommendation of another booked dental office, I tried the Tetrick practice. They were booked as well, and already had allocated their emergency slot for the day, but took my number just in case. As luck would have it, I got a call back in about 45min, asking if I could show up in 30min; Heck Yeah!
They have an exceptionally clean and well sorted practice. The staff was professional and exceedingly personable. Within ~45min I was out and having lunch. Highly recommended!

I am 75 years old, and moved to Bellingham from Arizona 4 years ago. I had wanted to hike and have fun outdoors. About a year ago, I started to curtail my activities because I was feeling unsteady when I walked, especially up and down hill, and it felt like it was getting worse. I also was having knee pain (an old pain) and new pain in my hips and low back so not only was I in pain but I was getting depressed.
Dr. Tran was recommended to me by members of my family and I started seeing him several months ago. The treatment he has provided has been amazing Within a few treatments the low back and hip pain went away. Over the course of treatment I have also become steadier when walking. and my chronic knee pain became less.
I now feel so much steadier that I don't fear falling and I can walk for longer periods of time. I also have more energy and stamina, so that I am looking forward to getting out again. Dr. Tran also recommended some supplements that definitely helped with my energy.
Dr. Tran is caring and listens to me. I feel like he tailored his treatment to what I wanted to achieve and I can now say, thanks to .Dr. Tran, that I am enjoying my retirement again and I feel like I have many good years in front of me.

At 41 I have had consistent daily lumbar spinal pain for the last 10 years. My most recent MRI showed 7 bulged disks with degenerative disk disease. My cat is petrified of vets. It takes every ounce of emotional strength for both of us to go to a veterinary facility. But everytime I have taken Tux to Dr.Day, I have been able to go in with him, calm him down and stay with him until he is sedated and calm. I feel totally comfortable leaving Tux in his care and I love how they care for him. Now, Dr Day's ultrasound imaging is thorough and precise. He covers everything in detail and its easy to understand. He can definitely do a proper job with accuracy and professionalism. We were grateful that the Village Veterinary Hospital was able to examine our cat on short notice. Dr. Foote and Annie Muller were thoughtful, knowledgeable, communicative, and caring. We’re visiting the area, and they went out of their way to get our cat’s health history/records from our veterinarian back home and used them to help with diagnosing her problem.
Amazing with our pet! From the moment we walked in, receptionist was friendly. Vet who asissted us was also very firefly and informative. Great place!
We’ve been taking our cats to Village Vet for the past few years, along with a few other kitties we’ve found on the street, and every single visit has been a great experience! We’ve come for yearly checkups, vaccinations, blood tests, illnesses, last minute (mild) emergencies, a spay, and more. They also provided us with a recommendation for a foot surgeon when our kitten needed a toe amputated. They are so versatile, while also making the process super easy.
Some of our cats are nervous at first, but the way the techs/VAs make them comfortable, play with them, and give them treats makes appointments go so smoothly. I brought our cat Marvin in a few days ago, and he genuinely had such a fun time, he probably can’t wait to come back!
I find their prices affordable, and we’ve even gotten discounts when bringing in multiple cats for their yearly visits. We also have pet insurance, and Village Vet always provides paperwork and bills in the exact way I need them. I have never felt pressured to pay or purchase anything, and they are very transparent when things aren’t necessary.
Shout out to Lee who has helped us out multiple times, and Annie who has been our VA quite a few times as well. They are both lovely people, hard workers, and individuals who obviously enjoy what they do. We’ve met many of the vets here and all of them have been very helpful and great at explaining everything.
I also love the way they treat pets in general. Pets are given your last name and are treated like family members. One time I arrived half way through an appointment (my partner was with the cats, and I came from work) and they said “your family is waiting in room two.” Obviously the big things are important, but the little things like that are what makes this place so great!
We’ve recommended this vet to many of our friends, and we will continue coming back!
I have been bringing my aging dog to Karen for several years now. She is wonderful! So kind, and her treatments really seem to help. I recommend her.
I have a severely reactive dog and I wasn't sure how visits to the vet could ever go well for him. I told the staff at Fairhaven Vet his issues and they put together a game plan. I was very pleased and impressed how smooth the visit went. I took my boy back to get neutered and they handled it so well. The staff is very kind and understanding toward difficult dogs. Life with a reactive dog isn't easy, but Fairhaven Vet took excellent care of him and put me at ease. There's no question I will be going to Fairhaven Vet for all my pet needs.
Maplewood has been our vet for the last 7 years and we have always been very happy with their level of care and service for our dog. Six years ago we moved an hour away but still made the drive to Maplewood -- until recently when we had to find a local vet for monthly allergy shots. Our dog is currently experiencing leg paralysis and the local vet is scheduling 2 weeks out. We called Maplewood and got an appointment next day. Dr. Dunbar was compassionate, knowledgeable, took her time, and did a thorough examination, including x-rays, and suggested it was a neurological issue, which all made sense. Enter Misti, the most amazing person you'll ever come across at a vet's office. She helped us find a specialist, coordinated with records transfer and referral, all at lighting speed and with the most compassionate heart. She is superwoman rockstar and I'm so grateful for her, Dr. Dunbar, and all the staff at Maplewood.
Took my puppy today for her first vaccines and the staff is wonderful, Dr. Perry was incredibly kind and informative. Very reasonable puppy package for the vaccines!
Beyond impressed with the staff here at Bellingham Veterinary. They were able to fit my girl in same day as out of towners when she hurt her leg & had a severe limp. They were very informative during the whole visit & even let me stay in the office while my pup was sedated for xrays. They were understanding when I asked for my vet records to bring to my vet back home & emailed them to me while I was there!

Absolutely would go back again. Our pup jumped out our bedroom window and we are not from here. They took her in that day immediately and gave X-rays finding out she broke her leg and they put a rush on surgery and even made sure the next day that all was stable but it wasn't so they had to go back into surgery free of charge and fix it also they kept her for 4 nights to monitor her and make sure she was well before we brought her home. I would definitely recommend anyone to this vet and would come back again if needed.

Hannah did an amazing job with my English Springer Spaniel! Intent is a great studio with good instructors and a beautiful space geared for intermediate/beginner.
Wish they would provide opportunities for inversions and challenging poses during class. My old studio in Bellevue every class they would give options for more advanced poses and teach how to do them which was great.
Before 2020 I was active in fitness but I had only dabbled in mace and heavy clubs. During the shutdown I decided to dive deeper with lever tools. I found a few club and mace coaches and programs online before I discovered Coach Summer Huntington on Youtube. It was quickly obvious that she had very few peers when it came to the use of these unique modalities. But what really set her apart was her unique vision of merging ancient lever tools with two other disciplines. She merged arguably the oldest tools known to humans with the ancient art of yoga and the modern science of kinesiology. When I later discovered that she had a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology I wasn’t at all surprised. Summer knows her stuff! Two years later, Summer announced she was hosting a weekend retreat on Clubs, Mace and Staff at Flow Shala with another coach whose material I had immersed myself in throughout the pandemic, Mark Wildman. I signed up on the spot! The weekend was an incredible experience! The two coaches complimented each other so well! Both were beyond excellent in every way possible: pedagogy, explanation, diagnosing issues and coaching corrections, the list goes on and on. I learned so much that weekend, but Summer’s Steel Mace Vinyasa sessions challenged me like I’d never been challenged before. I leveled up in all three modalities without question, and I came home with a passion to continue growing in clubs and staff that is still with me to this day. But I had an even greater drive to pursue steel mace vinyasa. I quickly signed up for a five day retreat with Coaches Summer and Mark in Thailand. I wanted to make the most out of the opportunity and had six months to prepare for the event. I started working online with an incredible Flow Shala coach on a weekly basis. By the time I found myself swinging a mace in Warrior 2 pose surrounded by the Buddhist temples that lined the mountains around our workout platform in Thailand, I had leveled up again. But Summer challenged me in a way I’d never been challenged before. She encouraged as she pushed me to an even higher level. A perfect example, in the midst of one session she invited the group into a headstand. I followed her instructions and found myself upside down! After the session she rushed over to me with a huge smile and was genuinely excited to find out if that was my first headstand. In that moment I realized how genuinely invested this coach was in the development of her students. After Thailand, I joined Flow Shala and continued working with Summer and the other coaches online. It was such a gift to get coaching on Steel Mace Vinyasa at home! I also recently attended a 16 hour SMV online course. When I signed up for the course I thought we’d hone on form and maybe learn some new moves. That happened, but unbeknownst to me, the weekend was really an opportunity to peer behind the curtain and glimpse not only the depth of Summer’s pedagogy but it gave me a clear vision of the genius and breadth of a master and true artist in her chosen field. When Coach Summer recently announced she was going to coach one on one sessions, I signed up right away! Summer is not only a coach of coaches, she is a fitness pioneer gifting us with a glimpse of what the next level of health and wellness looks like with Steel Mace Vinyasa. She not only diagnosed several unhealthy movement patterns I’ve developed over a lifetime, she has prescribed a holistic weekly wellness plan designed to teach me proper movement and heal my body. I went to vital yoga for three months during my travel healthcare contract. I enjoyed each class I went to. Each instructor has a different personality however all rooted in the practice of yoga. All of them approach the class with openness and kindness towards the participants. This membership is worth your time! As a "beginner" yogi, I found the classes extremely welcoming and doable.
The atmosphere at BYC is welcoming and inviting. The yoga instructors are top notch (I have tried them all) offering well planned classes with clear directions, challenges and no judgement. BYC is a resource center for mindfulness, movement and focus on wellbeing.
I just had my first session with Jodi. I recently lost my wife of 49 years and she helped me start through the grieving process. She was very warm and understanding and between the massage and the conversation, I left knowing that I would return to continue down the path. Wether you are suffering from grief, or just need a great massage, she is wonderful and I highly recommend her and Still Life.

I love prime sports. That helped me heal from an injury and gave me lots of suggestions for strength and mobility training. His massage therapy skills are out of this world as well. I brought both of my sisters and brother-in-law To see him as well, and he worked his magic with them too . From what I see, everybody there is wonderful . If you are injured or you just want to get stronger come check them out.
So i was recommended to try the Body Mechanic in bellingham by my chiropractor. 100% amazing . You can tell the difference between people who take pride in thier work. Very professional, knowledgeable, and one of my best massage experiences. I will be setting up a regular schedule with this place. BTW got the deep tissue massage.
I am able to do activities such as climbing up and down a ladder and working overhead for a 2 hour project. Could not do that before!!!!

This body work really changed the way I move. I was amazed by my physical capability after I completed the sessions. John is an educated and intuitive worker and really takes the time to do the work you need in every session. There is no feeling of rushing and I always feel comfortable and safe in his studio. Before I did the 10 part series I was strong but was having issues on achieving specific fitness goals, I.e. doing a pull-up. After completing the series I was all the sudden able to do a couple pull-ups and found that the work really made my muscles fire in the right order. I highly recommend his work to anyone and everyone and will go back whenever I feel I need a little adjustment.

Dr Henry is great; he asks thoughtful questions and listens attentively and is very knowledgeable. I've been having sore knees for years as an athlete and finally, Dr Henry was able to help me identify the muscle imbalances to address the pain and work towards a more balanced exercise routine. PT isn't just for after an injury, it can just help you move better and perform better in daily life, too! Highly recommend!
As a pain patient who suffered from 10/10 chronic back pain for 10 plus years, and always had more pain from most all of the other PT experiences I have had, Karen Morgan has by far been the best experience I have had. She has really helped me diminish my chronic back pain. She’s very knowledgeable about chronic pain and the mind-body connection between the nervous system and musculoskeletal system, and her exercises take a very whole body approach, and are practical and manageable if you have a lot going on in your life. She recommended a short, cheap, and easy to read book on chronic pain called “The Way Out,” by Alan Gordon. I recommend coming in with an open mind and listening to her suggestions and working the exercise/fascial release programs. She’s also willing to put focus into whatever area of your body you are struggling with at a give time (this is great for someone like me who deals with a lot of different physical struggles). After we figured out my back and was having knee troubles, she switched to help address that issue with me and gave me a suggested plan for my exercise routine. My knee started to feel better shortly after following her instructions. If I could give a 10/10 for this practitioner I would, and this says a lot coming from a patient who has felt like no other treatment plan in years and years of physical therapy and other treatments solved my back issue, but I really feel like Karen did help me solve it, amazing! ?
I love this place and both therapists I saw, Abby and Aaron, were awesome, as well as Anna at the front desk. They taught a variety of exercises, incorporated soft tissue work, and made me feel much more relaxed with less pain when I left. My progress was good at the end. Very good vibes and friendly atmosphere, I will miss this place!

Amazing results and solutions. I've never been healthier. I arrived for acupuncture feeling nervous and desperate for relief. I'd been struggling for years with pseudoseizures and symptoms that appeared to others as a stroke or heart attach ( uncommon for someone my age). It only took one session and already I was feeling better. My posture has improved, energy levels have increased, and pain has almost gone away entirely.
I was suffering from IBS. Two visits of acupuncture therapy and some herbal supplements I was back to normal. Western medicine failed to cure me in two years.

I was originally nervous to meet her, as i am with most people, but we got along the moment we met and i am extremely grateful for my experience with her. She is easy to talk to, fun to hang out with - just felt like hanging out with a friend honestly.
The classes were easy and straightforward about the reality and consequences of driving, which i really appreciate.
Overall, i think this driving school is great and i highly recommend it.
