Meridian Street Veterinary is described as a great and amazing vet that provides excellent care. The practice is commended for being really attentive, helpful, caring, and compassionate. Staff are personable, with a front office that is caring and compassionate. The doctors and techs are very personable and efficient. They offer same-day appointments for urgent issues and can schedule procedures quickly. The service costs are reasonable, very reasonably priced, and they do not overcharge. Clients appreciate not having to go to an emergency clinic. The vets take time to thoroughly assess pets, discussing findings and concerns. They are able to care for both dogs and cats, including surgeries and handling sensitive behavioral needs. The practice earns strong referrals, with clients stating they are the happiest with this clinic compared to others in town.
After visiting many veterinary clinics in Ferndale, Lynden, Bellingham, Mount Vernon, and the surrounding areas, I can honestly say that Dr. Searle is one of the best veterinarians I have ever met.
Dr. Searle is incredibly thorough during his examinations, and his after-visit summary is by far the most detailed, well-organized, and easy-to-understand report I have ever received. In fact, I have never received an after-visit summary of this quality from any other veterinary clinic. It is educational, comprehensive, and genuinely helpful for pet owners. I have been taking my kids (dogs) to Dr. Jake Searle now for over 20 years. Dr. Jake and I have been through the extremely hard times of having to have them put to sleep to the playfulness of getting to know new puppies. Dr Jake is AMAZING with the kids, taking his time to ensure a through exam. Dr. Jake can do it all. I have 5 kids. 4 of them at 100 lbs or over and 1 7 lb pomeranian. Because I live over an hour from his office it is much more convenient for me to just have 1 appointment for all of them. I must admit it is a zoo, but everyone is so loving and kind. This is a few months late, but I would like to leave a great review for Meridian Street Veterinary. I sadly only got to bring my cat there once before he passed - this was not the vet's fault; the cat had an aggressive and untreatable cancer that took him just a few weeks after it was discovered. But, despite being a sad situation, this was the most standout appointment I had ever experienced in terms of professionalism, expertise and bedside manner. He found the tumor very quickly and delivered the bad news with a perfect blend of reality and compassion.
