I've been waiting a while to get in with Madelyn, and it was definitely worth the wait! In my opinion, her artistry and skill are unmatched in our area. I gave her an idea of the elements that I wanted in my tattoo, and she created exactly what I had hoped for. I’ve seen three artists at Red Sparrow for one day pieces and a whole sleeve over the past year and a half. The artists are highly skilled, obviously, but more importantly they all create an environment welcoming to all kinds of folks looking for all types of tattoos. I recently got a big rib piece from Madelyn after a couple of years of admiring her work. It was from her pre drawn collection and I couldn’t be more stoked. Carson did my sleeve over about a year, and was super easy to work with. Like other reviewers, I have nothing but good things to say about Red Sparrow as a shop and Devin P as a tattoo artist.
The shop has a welcoming vibe, in part driven by the comraderie between the artists - they all clearly enjoy working with and learning from one another.
Devin is also the dude! Love his takes on american trad - I've mainly picked out his flash pieces, but we recently did some custom work and could not be happier with how he executed on my idea. Importantly, all the work he's done for me has healed fantastic, only requiring minor touch ups.
