This was my first experience at Elevate. Wow! It was everything their website promised it would be. Rachel did not judge me or roll her eyes at what I had done to my hair. I walked in looking awful and walked out looking fantastic. I have very short hair, but she really took her time and gave it incredible texture. The atmosphere was great and the price reasonable.

Went to Nicky for a trial and styling for my wedding. She was so great at listening to what I wanted (even when I wasn't really sure what that was). When my wedding day arrived rainy, she rolled with the punches and changed the style up at the last minute. She was also great at incorporating a headpiece that held a lot of sentimental value, even when the combs were sewed on in the wrong direction. My hair held up so well to the rain and dancing. Would definitely recommend Nicky (and Anne Marie and Co) to any other brides or folks needing special occasion hair.

Previously, I tried to two different local salons advertising wavy/curly hair specialists, and left with straight, blown-out hair, despite being up front about not wanting a blow out or a radical change to my appearance. I have been going to Melissa for more years (decades) than I want to admit. She always comes through fixing whatever I've done to my hair. I would go to her regularly if I didn't live in another state. She's tames my natural curls and she's been giving me a mean silk press since the 90s. She's given me keratin treatments and relaxers and brought me back to natural. You won't find another stylist who cares about the health of your hair and what you want. She's not scissor happy. She's like family. She gives you one- on-one time and you're not waiting forever. Her teachings got my hair down my back and almost to my butt until I stopped getting those daggone trims. Why would I do that? Don't make the mistakes I've made. Stick with her if you can. If you're on a natural journey, she's your stylist. I can't say enough good things!! In the picture, she took me from a fade, uneven grow out to a 90s haircut. She didn't cut the fade, but she did get my style my natural tresses in a way that would grow out nicely. She knows me. She knows I am going to be back in due time asking for her to fix my hair again. I love her so much!!

Wonderful environment, professional and very clean. Ms. Terrie is a wonderful, kind and compassionate hair stylist. When I saw her I was experiencing issues with hair dye, as well as breakage and dryness (I am biracial with 3C/4A curls). Ms. Terrie explained to me how she puts the health of the hair first and then she took the time to get my color right. After my color I wanted a trim but, not loose the length. And Ms. Terrie explained to me the difference between a dusting and a trim. She looked out for me and gave me a dusting yet, maintained my length. Lastly, she gave me a blowout and WOW! Ms. Terrie's blowouts are amazing. My hair look beautiful, sleek and styled beautiful. Before leaving my first visit, I purchased Ms. Terrie's Herbal Heal hair oil to help with the breakage and dryness. Six months later, my hair is longer, stronger and healthy. I can wear my hair curly, straight or in a ponytail without worry of breakage. I highly recommend before you leave her salon book your appointment for your next visit. Ms. Terrie is always booked out a few weeks, and it's understandable. Ms. Terrie works magic, and my hair has never felt this good in years. It's a blessing to sit in her chair. I am so excited!!! I think Holly is a genius. She knew immediately what I wanted and needed. I have fine, thin, wavy hair and have been trying forever to force it into cuts that are sleek and just plain wrong for my hair type. She listened to what I wanted, which is to grow out my hair and stop coloring it, and she said "have you ever thought of embracing your wave/curls?" Honestly, no one has ever asked me that. I was absolutely thrilled with the cut and the curls that she showed me how to create. I have never been happier with my hair. She did not try to sell me expensive products, or try to have me come back more often than I needed since I want to grow it longer and let the color go back to natural. I love her and her studio is SO CUTE!!!

He really likes his clients involved in their haircut which is why I came out of his shop with a great haircut! There was some great background music as well. Good prices for their haircuts. I don't know of any other barbershop around town that can cut Dominican hair as good as Beni at this salon. I even went to Richmond (Dominican barbershop ) no good, this place does a really good job.

Absolutely love this place, I went here once on my way home from DC and they did such a nice job I wait to get my nails done until I can come up from where I live in Lynchburg (it’s a hour away I know that’s ridiculous but that’s how happy I’ve been with them) there very reasonably priced and they do the best job shaping my nails. They’re never chunky. Highly recommend
the service at this salon was excellent. i had rose for my technician and she made sure multiple times throughout my manicure that what she was doing was exactly what i wanted, and i'm extremely happy with the results! all the staff were friendly and efficient - i even arrived around 20 minutes before my appointment and they sat me as soon as i walked in. i will absolutely be returning!
I have been going to Lee's Nails for over a decade and time and time again I am always pleased with the work that Julie and her team provide. I travel 35 minutes one way to get my nails done with Lee's Nails. I don't trust anyone else with my nails because I know that they will always provide good services. They have very clean services and are very knowledgeable in safe manicuring and pedicuring techniques (using safe gel shellac curing lamps). I usually get Gel Shellac manicures which always last over 2 weeks and as a nurse I wash my hands and use hand sanitizer frequently so this is important to me. My most recent visits included a French manicure extension dip polish with added design with matching shellac gel french pedicure with design (just about $120 I believe with incredible results) and this lasted a significant time until I came in for a gel polish exchange. My toe nails still look great from 1.5 months ago. Then my most recent visit I just got shellac polish manicure (which was somewhere in the $40s I think?). So the prices are reasonable just depends what all you get. I often also come in with friends and family and can usually book for simultaneous pedicure + manicures with no problem. Love the team at Lee's Nails, highly recommend them to everyone I know.

I Came here to get brow rehab after a TERRIBLE experience at another wax place in Cville where I literally had 80% of my eyebrows removed … I was so nervous to try a new wax place but the atmosphere was so welcoming and I just knew they’d be able to help me. The estheticians see all the places in brows that need work and know exactly how to do your eyebrows so that they can look good while growing out.

I'm not one to typically review so I don't even know where to start. I've seen three people now at Stone Fox (Tatium, Tamara, and Jada) and have had a 5/5 experience with each one of them!!! Professional is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Stone Fox, thorough and kind are the next two. Each one went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable when trying services I've never done before (especially before my wedding which can be a stressful time) - they've taken the stress out of this for sure! I love that it's a one-stop-shop and there is no compromise in any quality for any service. They truly are the best. I went into this tattoo place to see if I could aument the light brown freckles I have and get a little Marilyn Monroe dot next to my nose. It was a wonderful experience. The aesthetic is very calm and elegant with an edge. The tattoo artist, and I guess the guy that owns the place is so nice and kind of attractive. He talked me off the ledge of getting a darker color that would have looked way less natural to one that fits my skin tone pretty perfectly. It was a great experience, super comfortable, clean, and the music was actually good. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience with my 2nd ear lobe piercings yesterday. Staff were welcoming and efficient. They approved and sanitized the earrings I'd brought - (although you can buy there if you prefer). The piercings are well placed and have been totally pain free. The whole process was hygienic and professional. This would be a good place for kids first piercings because of the effort they go to to ensure clients feel comfortable. Thanks so much, you guys are the best!

Just as the summer heat topped out, our A/C failed. Fitch was able to send someone out right away to diagnose a leaking coil. Jason, the lead technician, was pleasant, efficient and very understanding of the urgency of the situation. He was able to come back within two days to install the new coil. Expensive, but worth it!
There are no words that can describe the wonderful person/worker that James is! He's a a angel sent from Heaven! My 88 year old grandmother had an emergency after hours, and he went above and beyond to assist her with her toilet. I can not thank him enough!
AB has helped me out twice. They helped fix a burst pipe in our outdoor shed (Apr 2024), as well as replacing our upstairs toilet (Oct 2024) that had developed a constant water leak driving up our water bill. Both times Bill was sent out and each time we had excellent service. The people I spoke on the phone were also very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend them for normal or urgent calls.
Beck Cohen worked on our house several years for a major remodel and they are the only company we would call to help us with a recent water leak problem in the basement. Andy knew how to access and repair the leaking connections and we were really relieved to have the problem fixed. Can’t thank you all enough!

Yesterday, Saleem and Julian arrived right on time and could not have been friendlier, more professional or concerned about doing their job as good as possible. The service, (emptying our septic tank), was efficient, thorough and very reasonably priced. They were thoughtful enough to carefully replace the grass divots and clean up leftover dirt. You almost couldn't tell they had been there. This experience was a good one and we will highly recommend Rooter-Man. Darrell did a great job in repairing our hot water heater. He was professional, dependable and kept me informed throughout. Solutions Mechanical responded very quickly since we had no hot water, provided a solution to help in the interim while a valve was on order and installed the valve the same day it was received. I highly recommend this business - they certainly came through in a pinch when we needed the support!
Blue Ridge installed a new ductless HVAC system in my home last May 2021. They were my third estimate, and offered a great price which was installed within the month. I love the system. Its quiet, matches my decor, and is cheaper to run than the window AC units I had, and the wood and space heaters I used in the winter. I'm also appreciative of them because they installed a chimney liner and pipe along with new filter and shut off valve so I could run my Kuma oil stove for heat during power outages. I had gotten that stove brand new to replace an old one in 2014 and couldn't find anyone willing to hook it up for me so it sit for 8 years. One man didn't even know what it was. So now I can settle into old age and just hit a switch for heat and air. I loved everyone and everything at BRS from the ladies in the office, the office decor, the prices, the service, the promptness, the gents who installed everything, and their sales manager Randy. He and they made me feel special. Am also always impressed by anyone willing to go under my house into a low tight dark crawl space. Am probably going to get a whole home backup generator from them, too. My comfort is their business... Well I'm truly comforted. Based on my experience with them, I highly recommend them for your heating and air needs.

Jessica and her team are timely, calling in advance if they anticipate being even 5 minutes late, and that’s before they get to cleaning! Their work is thorough, top to bottom, adjusting to specific areas we ask to have cleaned on the fly, and they even recently started going above and beyond adding bows or flower designs to our paper towels and toilet paper, creating the feel of a high-end resort. They clean areas we wouldn’t even think to ask for, and leave the home feeling fresh and renewed every time they service. We truly appreciate their not using harsh chemicals as we consider the health and welfare of our children and wonder pup.

We had requested services from Maid Right for a one time clean and they were super easy to work with for scheduling. Transparent on prices and expectations! On the day of service, Sam arrived and immediately got to work! She was so incredibly thorough and her attention to detail was spot on! When cleaning the shower, she even wiped down the shampoo bottles! It looked like a show room house after her work! She was super professional and it is clear that she cared about the quality of her work! Thanks Sam!!
We have used Tidy Touch for 7+ years (formerly Ana's Cleaning). We absolutely recommend them to everyone we know. At one point 4 years ago we moved and switched services, that was a big mistake and we switched back to Tidy Touch. They are very professional, consistent and trustworthy. Communication is also great, should I need anything extra or if anything was accidentally missed (which is rare) we can text a picture, or communicate to them while they are there, and they will make it right. They also cleaned our windows, inside and out, for us this year and we were very happy!
They did an incredible job cleaning my apartment, at a reasonable price. Will definitely be using them again in the future!
