As an out-of-town visitor, finding a quality barbershop can be hit or miss—but this place? Total hit. From the moment I walked in, the cleanliness of the shop stood out. Everything was spotless, well-organized, and gave off a professional yet relaxed vibe. You can tell the owner takes pride in the space.
Even though I wasn’t a regular, I was treated like one. The barber gave me an incredibly detailed cut—taking his time to make sure every line was crisp and tailored just right. What really set the experience apart was the “hotel towel treatment.” The hot towel wrap was perfectly done, adding a level of comfort and polish that you just don’t expect unless you’re at a high-end grooming lounge.
The owner was warm, welcoming, and genuinely interested in making sure I had a great experience. You can tell he cares about the craft and his clients, whether they’re local or just passing through.

My second time visiting this salon and I’m impressed even more after today’s visit. Brittany took the time to consult and ask questions to be able to deliver the haircut I wanted. Followed by an amazing shampoo (by the awesome assistant, Kelly (I think)) that included an essential oil scented eye mask and spa music in the background. It was exactly what I needed after a crazy day at work. Brittany took her time with me and it never felt rushed. My hair looks and feels amazing plus I enjoyed our conversation.
I had the hairstylist Aiva cut/style/color my hair. I had long damaged blonde hair and she was able to fix it and make my hair healthier again. The color is beautiful. Aiva is very personable and tends to all your hair goals/needs !

I really and truly can’t say enough good things about this salon, as an NJ and former NY’er transplant finding a salon that even scratches the surface of what I’m used to has been grim and left me with horrible cuts - UNTIL TROPEZ!!!! As a proud brunette, Ally has knocked my color and cut out of the park and beyond (going to miss her!!!) and this last time the owner Kellie did my wash and dry and was an absolute doll. The service, from drink offerings, to scalp massage to dry & curl is top notch and you truly get what you pay for top to bottom! I love this place and can’t wait to come back :)

I have been to Beale Street Barber Shop twice now. I am from out of town and went with a family member who goes here regularly. Both times it was for a straight razor shave and the experience was amazing each time. The owner of the shop puts great pride in his work and takes the time to do the shave right. Super relaxing experience, I’ve never gotten a facial before so I had no clue what to expect. My skin is very sensitive and dry, so the way my skin glowed after the session was crazy! It felt so good the entire time, I was so caught up with talking with Sierra it was over before I thought it was. The staff are delightful, they want what’s best for your skin. And don’t even get me started on how beautiful the inside is… Overall, this first round won’t be my last, and I can’t wait to see BOUQ Skin again!

I’m feeling physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually balanced. With the busy lifestyle that I have True Rest is the best medicine for my pain and anxiety. Reducing my anxiety, pain, and muscular pain after a long work week! Afterwards I had eucalyptus at the oxygen bar where I could journal draw and sip tea/water. I had the best rest in a while!

Iris is the best! I usually only go there for facials which are great, but I did an hour long Swedish massage today and it might be the best in town! Don't let her petite demeanor fool you, she is strong and knows what she is doing. I will only go to Iris for massages and facials from now on.

I was so nervous on my very first visit but Lauren quickly put me at ease and really listened to what I wanted my brows to look like. She addressed every concern I had and gave me the brows I wanted. I just went back for my touch up and couldn’t be happier. For someone who was really nervous the first time, I was now confident in her judgement and expertise. I’m so glad to have found her. I won’t let anyone else touch my brows now!

Very responsive to schedule a visit. Very engaging during the visit. Very accommodating to my health challenge. They looked at two sinks that were not working properly. Charged $171 to put a washer on a sink and troubleshoot. We didn’t decide on price prior to this. Very disappointed to have to pay that price for. 20 minute review. Came out originally for a hot water heater. Was just going to select them but after the washer price wil go and do due diligence with others. Overall a good experience but be careful of impromptu pricing. We’ll see how they compare with others on the hot water heater.

OMG what great guys TJ and Jeff were, not to mention Jeff’s son who is working as an apprentice. My professional arrived early for my electrical work to be done. I explained what I needed and what was needed to pass my permit final inspection. Dylan Capps did each task in a timely manner and explained the process of how each task needed to be used. Top notch service from John the owner! I had to process a warranty claim on my new LG dishwasher. Let's just say LG took forever and did not want to issue a warranty service call. From the moment Cape Fear Appliance got a hold of my claim they contacted me multiple times keeping me informed when John would be on site. John immediately identified the issue, contacted LG to see if there was a fix and resolved my problem within a matter of minutes. Next time I will not be going through the major box stores for appliances but solely through Cape Fear Appliance.

Mine is an unbiased review of this FABULOUS cleaning service! Team leader Nicole arrived this morning with three of her workers and they immediately went to work on a deep cleaning of our home. They were prompt, thorough, polite, and energetic. They left no stone unturned on the cleaning of our bathrooms and shower, including tiles and floors, baseboards, and chair, rails, fans, and even the oven. We couldn't be there for the install, & Charles was very trustworthy & went above and beyond & sent pictures of each project as they were being done. We’ve had our sunroom enclosure for about 8 months, enough time for a good shakedown. It’s perfect. The windows are high quality and work well. The room remained comfortable through last summer and this past winter. The project was quick, clean, and the crew was great. No complaints.

Hughes Gardening literally finished our backyard install hours ago and I am so elated I don't know what to do with myself other than write a review as fast as possible. These guys did an incredible job cutting back my overgrown shrubs and mulching my front and side beds. The attention to detail was phenomenal. They had removed the previous bedding, bringing the beds down to dirt in order to put down a fresh layer of mulch. They communicated extremely well and were very responsive. I wish every business were so competently run. Chose the palmetto I wanted and scheduled the date and time of installation. On the day of, they called me and gave me a heads up that they were on their way. They came well within the one hour time frame that we had scheduled. It was not an easy location to install, so they had to do it by hand. They did an excellent job and gave me perfect instructions on how often to water, fertilize, etc. Everyone who helped me was wonderful to work with. I hope to be able to use them again in the future.

Advanced Irrigation came highly recommended by a neighbor, and they certainly lived up to the expectations. I called in the morning and Tom was at my house shortly after lunch, the same day! Amazingly responsive and knowledgeable about his field, Tom can be trusted to keep your system in peak operating condition. He even helped me out with a repair on my water supply that didn't really fall into his wheel house, and he could easily have referred me to a plumber causing me further delay, but he handled the repair quickly, professionaly, and reasonably. So I called Carolina dentist and they were able to get me in the same day for a cleaning and did her fillings right after her cleaning. The staff was amazing. Dr. Garrett and his whole office is amazing! Recently took my 7 year old to have a filling done and it couldn’t have been easier. They now have a laser to “drill” the cavity, so my son didn’t have to get numb! No needles!! It was such a smooth process and they were so calm and gentle with my son who was asking a million questions the whole time! Thank you guys so much!!!
Today I had an initial visit with Dr. Kuzma. I had an emergency issue with one of my front teeth. I have a lot of anxiety stemming from a horrible childhood dental experience so I was really nervous. From the time I spoke to them on the phone, showed up for my appointment , Everyone at the front desk were so kind & accommodating. When I went to the exam room, the assistant, Stephanie was so calming and reassuring. She made conversation with me and actually cared to hear what I was saying about my fears. I requested a thorough estimate and they did just that. Dr. Kuzma went over all the options for me and was willing to do whatever I was comfortable With. He was not pushy at all with the more expensive options. Before beginning, he prayed with me at my request. (Where else can you find this?)The procedure was quick and I am extremely happy with my results. When he sat me up and gave me the mirror, I literally cried. Happy tears. It is obvious they are a very compassionate and caring team. I have found my new dentist and intend to bring my entire family over to this office for their care as well. I highly recommend and give them 100 stars.! As a local business owner myself, I truly appreciate my experience today. The attention to every detail really matters.

These wonderful people are pure angels. Last year was really rough for my family and I. We took 3 major losses. My cousins and my grandma. Shortly after I got a diagnosis of Chari Malformation type 1. Shortly after I met with a Dr at Duke that originally stated it would be months before a surgery. The next day I received a call saying I needed brain surgery and that I had 12 days to get my affairs in order. ( keep reading and I’ll tell you about these amazing folks at LOD) I had my brain surgery on 3/21/24. The doctor told my family that I should be wheel chair bound and that I should’ve had multiple strokes. Through this process I had to pay thousands out of pocket to make sure I was still around for my children bc I’m all they have. After getting better I decided to focus on my teeth. I searched for months and found Live oak after reading some recommendations on Facebook. I had my initial visit and cried with my hygienist she was wonderful. But I recently went back for what I thought was a regular cleaning. After getting checked in and going to the back I encounter Robi (forgive me if I have her name wrong—brain surgery). She explained it was a deep cleaning and that there would be an out of pocket fee. But prior to the appointment there I had an eye appointment for new glasses bc the pressure in my brain was messing with my eyesight. So I explained this and was preparing myself to leave. Robi asked me to hold on for a moment, before she stepped out of the room she placed a heart shaped bell in my hands and explain that angels still exist. Oh man I cried, is she had only knew… I just gave my life to Christ on 9/21. #lifepointchurchILM she said it every time I heard it, it was angels. Man did I feel safe! God definitely knew I needed her. A few moments later another nice lady from the front came by and told me not to worry that we would figure it out. Jesus I cried way more. Listen these people are amazing. They have been kind, non judgmental, caring and compassionate from the very first visit. It literally took me days to write this as I didn’t want to make it long and drawn out but these beautiful people deserve all the praise and I can’t think them enough for seeing me the human and not just another patient. I simply can’t thank them enough and if you decide to go after reading this. Tell them Dawn sent you. Thank you again Live Oak Dental.

Doc Gainer worked his magic again!!! I chipped and broke in half the veneer on my top right front eye tooth, UGLY !!! Came in 11am, and by 12:30 I was going to lunch with my brand new, custom shaped and perfectly color matched new tooth!!! No numbing, no needles, and absolutely no pain!!! He had the high tech machine to make my new veneer in 45 min!!! He then took the extra time to custom fit it better than my old veneer!!! Thanks again Doc, you're the best !!!

I went to Active Care Chiropractor based on reviews. Since I have been there a few times, it’s only appropriate I think that I share my experience as well. Just a little background. I’ve had low back pain and sciatica down my left leg for as long as I can remember. I have attributed it to old age and resigned from the fact that it is not going away. I just need to live with it. So my experience. Like I said, I have been seen in the clinic a few times and I must say, I didn’t expect to feel a lot better in such a short time! Now my only regret is how I wish I had seen them sooner! Dr. McGraw is excellent and genuinely caring. I felt reassured even after my first visit. Everyone in the clinic is very nice and welcoming and accommodating, which made every visit a pleasant one. Thank you so much!

We recently took our 9month old dog Toby (a mini Golden-doodle)
to see Dr. Gail at Galligan Family Chiropractic. We had an excellent experience. We were met with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere by both Susan and Dr. Gail. Dr. Gail assessed our sweet Toby and then made multiple gentle adjustments on him of which he handled extremely well. Dr. Gail also took the time to explain the areas in Toby’s spine that were out of alignment and how these adjustments will help his hip alignment as well as his gate and sitting. We also found Dr. Gail, very knowledgeable about healthy dog food options for our sweet Toby. We will definitely be back to see her again and would highly recommend Galligan Family Chiropractic.

Dr. Ada is very personable and hands on when it comes to your health and wellbeing. She ask you about your day and how you are feeling. When she took x-rays she immediately recognized trauma to my back, which no physician has ever talked to me about. I have been on omeprazole for several years and my primary doctor told me to get off it, but I continued to have acid reflux. Well Dr.Ada advised me to start taking apple cider vinegar before each meal, I’ve been off that medication ? for a month now. ??????.
I went to Dr. King because I was experiencing a lot of back pain and a struggle to eat due to many ribs I broke. Before seeing Dr. King I was stuck to eating 1 meal a day before going into bed ridden pain if I ate more. After Dr. King adjusted my ribs, I found myself able to eat 2 meals a day resulting in half the pain. He has been a life changing Chiropractor for me and I look forward to all we will continue to accomplish! If you are in an unheard of amount of pain, I would recommend him.
Im 46 and two(2) of my older friends have been coming here for years. they come once a month for a maintenance visit and they're tuff dudes. So, after being told that I'd need back surgery, I looked up a few competing practices and wasn't even happy with the front desk. I went strait to Lumina and you couldn't pay me to go somewhere else. You'll feel like family, even the other patients seem to have a similar mood about this place. He sees so many customers, but don't worry the visits are quick and efficient. Busy-but never waiting. Thorough and thoughtful. I'm improving to the point that I'm believing I may not need the surgery. I'm looking forward to getting back to normal, if not better than normal.
I have been visiting Dr. Kirby for routine adjustments and it has helped keep my headaches under control. He recently was able to manipulate an inflamed muscle that was effecting one whole side of my body and alleviate the pain. Abner, is a registered service dog awarded to my 100% disabled veteran husband 12 years ago..2 years ago we found Dr. Reinhart and immediately knew she had Abners best interest. I saw another post about not having your previous pets records. They had all my pets records when I arrived because I provided that information for them. It is your responsibility as a pet owner to have all that set up. Not the vets. As when you have a child you provide all previous child's records so the Doctors know. Don't blame the Dr for your lack of pet ownership. And having all the paperwork of your pets issues.
Best vet and staff in Wilmington. Treat their patients with excellent medical treatment. My dog, Lucy, became very sick and died within a few days. Dr. Pandolfi, Jess and Lauren not only took great care of her but also me for which I am very grateful.
We bring our two cats here for rabies shots and exams. The staff is great and I would feel comfortable coming here if anything major ever happened to our cats.

The Dineen staff was excellent and supportive during the loss of my golden retriever "ladybug". I rescued that animal long ago and gave her the best life I could. There are A LOT of groomers in very dog-friendly Wilmington NC. However, there's only one Bark Avenue and Christy. The premises are always spotless and Christy's wonderful little boy (Boo-Boo) patters about spreading calm and cheer to the clients. No racks of terrified pups awaiting their turn here, just a quiet, welcoming efficiency hangs in the air.
Christy herself is outstanding at her craft PLUS she listens carefully to what owners want done and always follows through. She is friendly, knowledgeable and highly professional. Finally, Christy is great at predicting what time your pup will be ready and, if she's held up for some reason, she lets you know in plenty of time. Howver, this almost never happens.
My pups, Mimi & Madeline always look great when I pick them up, and most importantly, they do not appear stressed in the least.

I took my first class and I loved it! I didn't know what to expect but this was really cool. You go in and there is a room to your left which has several machines on each sides. Each machine has different contraptions for different parts of your body. You get a full body workout and it is fun, exciting and relaxing all at the same time.
Fantastic experience. A complete understanding of issues presented to me by my PT guy. Fully intend to use Hands in the Sands in the future as part of my health regiment.

I have had a great experience with all the staff at EmergeOrtho PT. The desk staff is very welcoming and pleasant. They work with you, not against you. My PT, Britt, is knowledgeable and great to work with. She doesn't pressure me about my at home workouts, but instead encourages me. The exercises she's taught me have helped my knee a lot. I am going to her next for my shoulder. The support staff are good as well.

McKay Acupuncture has been a blessing and life changing experience for me. I was able to schedule appointments with all three acupuncturists. Each one was absolutely amazing and brought something new to my life. They all listened, targeted areas of pain, and helped me tremendously. I went in using a cane with back pain, a frozen shoulder, and a foot I could barely walk on. After several visits, I'm cane free, walking everywhere with ease, and feeling so much better. I had tons of pain and inflammation in my body, some I didn't even realize. I've had multiple surgeries and several joints replaced. At 60, I was moving slower than I ever wanted to. Acupuncture has helped reduce the pain and inflammation in my entire body and given me back the ability to move and exercise more. I am ever so grateful to Leon, Kristina and Lindsay. Great for sciatica and muscular pain management. Andrew listens to your issues and asks questions to get you the best diagnosis and treatment. Also, if needed will supply you with the necessary Formula of TCM to keep you feeling GREAT. I'm a regular customer, and I will be for life. Anytime I have a pain from aching muscles to an over strained back to that sciatica that thinks it has a right to come back to my body, I can get treated by Andrew kingoff and feel fantastic for a long period of time. If you're tired of trying everything under the sun, stop trying everything under the sun and get to this acupuncturist he is magnificent! It's a very clean facility and it's a very calming facility. Your body is worth it!
