Tile shopping is stressful and there is so much details but they made the process of choosing the perfect tile and countertop material completely stress free. They guide me through the different sizes and materials, explaining exactly why certain options would work the best for my space and design. They guide me with layouts, patterns and 3D previews! Jeff and his team did a fantastic job tearing out our carpet and old subfloor, leveling, installing new subfloor, and installing our waterproof flooring! It’s like a brand new home and looks so much bigger. The flooring is laid perfectly, baseboards look great. Our repair tech was professional, clean, and friendly. He even had an audience of neighborhood kids who were curious about what he was doing! He was incredibly patient with them and took the time to explain what he was working on. Once he identified the source of the issue, he was polite and professional, fixed the problem, and did another thorough sweep to make sure everything was taken care of. He also gave us some helpful tips for the future.

Found a coupon code online for 30% off first-time service and figured why not give them a shot. I usually just try to clean the house myself but honestly it takes forever and I never do the baseboards or anything. They came through on a Tuesday morning and handled the whole place. The kitchen looked spotless. Counters, stovetop, even inside the microwave which I def hadn't touched in months. Bathroom tile was actually shining. They got into the corners and along the edges where dust just sits forever. Carpets got vacuumed really well too. Whole thing took a couple hours maybe. I wasn't home so they used the key I left. No issues with that at all. Everything was right where I left it. Nothing moved around or broken. I've tried other maid services walnut creek before and they always miss something obvious. This team was thorough.

Earlier this year, I was looking for a new hairstylist to give me a different style of hair. I had rocked a mullet (picture Mick Jagger) for a while and became tired of how high maintenance it was, how hot it made my head feel, and the longer length in general. Conversely, I became quite attached to my hair and knew that if someone were to change it, they’d have to do a great job. I had been going to a male barber for a while, but wanted to let a woman work on me to get a different perspective. Executive Haircut by Monica is the solution.
I found Monica by reading about hairstylists in my area (WC; East Bay). Aside from great reviews, I got a good feel for her to trim off all my precious hair. When I walked in, I was greeted by Monica, who lead me into her salon. It’s a small and cozy corner in the Phenix Salon Suite, and lowkey feels like entering another world separate from the busy WC main road.
I would describe Monica as socially intelligent, funny, friendly, and unique. She’s a good conversationalist, making you feel comfortable to open up about yourself. I can tell she has a lot of life experience, and she often offers advice/wisdom to me as a younger, 20-something man just trying to navigate life. I also enjoy how she remembers details about you; every time I go, it’s like our conversations resume where they left off.
The first time I was there, she could tell I was quite nervous, and we discussed what I had in mind. I showed her some photos of some general ideas; she told me to trust her, which I did (reluctantly). Snip, snip, snip, and away my mullet went. She has a very calming presence, and while she effortlessly did her work, we got to know each other.
Monica has the uncanny superpower to know what will look amazing on you based on your head shape and demeanor (“vibe” as some people say). Often, as a man, I don’t know what will look good on me, especially in a dating and professional context. My friends and family, while well-intentioned, don’t have the insight to tell me what is good or bad looking. Monica cuts right to the chase (pun intended lol) and will get you looking you best, and you should trust her judgement especially if you’re a lost guy looking for a hairstyle that looks good on you.
After receiving a hot towel, scalp massage, neck massage, and other forms of grooming (all worth it by the way), you come out feeling like a new man. She’s an expert in making you feel supreme. I was not used to have shorter, textured hair, but Monica assured me it looks great. I looked in the mirror and smiled, because I agreed.
The results started to speak for themselves. I received compliments for the first time in my entire life about my haircut. Feeling invisible around women at times, I noticed that women I’d pass on the street would smile at me and even compliment me on my hair. Coworkers, friends, and strangers all seemed to like the new haircut Monica came up with for me. I’m still working on dating and other life milestones, but the positive feedback I received definitely helped me with my confidence and sense of masculinity.

I just went to Alan for my first time ever Brazilian and really a full body grooming. I began with a quick consult just to meet Alan and find out what he recommended a week earlier. I then summoned the courage to show up the following week and was quite pleased to know that it was much more difficult in my head than in person. Alan was incredibly professional, talented in his craft, had an easy going, matter-of-fact manner, and knowledgeable about how to care for the body, all while being fun to hang out with for an hour while most every hair on my body was waxed away! This was a gift to myself in preparation for a trip to Bali but now I'm looking at going back again to maintain a newfound look. An excellent experience.

It's never easy to find a great hairstylist, and when it comes to men's cuts in the East Bay, she's been my favorite. She is very detailed-oriented and specifically focused on every haircut while being an incredibly interesting and great person. I enjoy catching up with Stephanie just as much as I do the haircut! As you walk in her shop, she'll give you a warm welcome, offer you a water or beer as you sit in the chair, and it's go time. Most importantly, Stephanie knows what looks good. Let's be honest, we all want to look like Brad Pitt from Fight Club, but when we ask a hair stylist for that cut, we look terrible. Results oriented but organic facials, and today I tried their mineral based “natural teeth whitening!”Totally impressed!!! I was skeptical because the last teeth whitening I received was from a dentist. It was uncomfortable, expensive, took 45 minutes longer than advertised, and most importantly I saw VERY little improvement. At Aurora. I received, caring, comfortable service. It was fast! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, thoughtful, and compassionate. She truly blessed me with her beautiful heart and did an amazing job on my toenails! I can’t have my feet rubbed and need cold water, and she carefully worked with me to ensure I was comfortable in every way. The chairs are very comfortable, and the salon is clean and welcoming.
The nail technician who did my nails Jennie also did a fantastic job and was very kind. From the manager who helped me get safely into an Uber in my wheelchair, to the staff who created such a positive and welcoming atmosphere, every part of my visit was excellent. These are now my natural nails and I highly recommend Smiley Nails and will definitely be coming back. This salon has earned a permanent spot as my go-to nail salon!

I’ve been going to David’s Nails for seven years now. David, the owner, suffered a catastrophic stroke, and as we all know, recovery from something so serious is never easy or complete. Despite everything, he is still doing his best to continue running his business with dignity.
I am sorry for the negative experience you suffered, but I think David deserves grace, compassion, and patience instead of negative comments. He and his family are doing the best they can while navigating a very difficult situation. Just think if this were one of your own family members. Let’s allow him the chance to heal with dignity and support rather than criticism. If you don’t like it, then you simply shouldn’t continue going to his nail salon.
I walked in right as the doors opened, and it sounded like the staff were fighting. Employees were running around chaotically while the owner shouted orders across the salon in front of guests waiting for their appointments.
I sat down for my mani-pedi, and the foot bath was icy cold. My manicurist was fast, but not careful. She made me bleed. My pedicurist gave me a massage like she had nothing left in the tank, then rinsed my feet with water so hot I actually yelped. She painted outside the lines and cleaned it up afterward with acetone. The whole appointment has felt like a pit stop.
The only thing consistently relaxing has been the massage chair.

Walked in for soonest appointment for name cover up with octopus. Clean shop with TV, music, 5 artists and shop dog, very chill vibe. Chris was able to give out my information to all artists and Lavinia was able to fit me in next day. I just let Nia draw the octopus and start inking without any hesitation or looking at size or placement. Hours later we had to call it and schedule a return to finish. Lavinia’s persona is so wonderful, creative and exemplary skills and conversations were amusing.
Got an earlier appointment to finish octopus and turned out spectacular. So happy with it had to make another appointment for other arm. Requested a koi with waves and whatever she thought would look good and let her be creative.
Had another great session at the shop with cool conversation with artists Jake and V while Lavinia worked on the koi. Turned out epic and happy again so on to the next appointment for some back art.
Compared to last year's appointment where they rushed through the checklist, this time the technician spent over an hour thoroughly inspecting each component of the system. He even pointed out some minor duct issues that might need attention in the future👍

HMS plumbing saved the day! My water heater not only went out Monday, but was leaking all in the garage. I had googled plumbers and was scheduled for next day estimates. I called Harry (referred to by my sister) and he was at my house within the hour. He gave his estimate and was here the next day hours before he originally said. He added copper piping, a relief valve that actually worked, new lines, a tray, pvc piping, etc. He told me step by step of everything he did, how to work the ignition, showed how he positioned the valve handles to be reachable. He had the new heater delivered to the house and took the old one away. I am beyond satisfied with his work, his demeanor, and his honesty.

I had a 16 Kw whole home Generac generator installed by Golden State Power Systems 5 years ago. The house is located on a steep hillside in close proximity to the neighbors house, so the install job was pretty complex running the gas pipeline up the hill. Two other contractors passed on the job because of the difficulty in transporting the generator down 55 stairs and installing a lengthy gas line. TJ and his crew were great and didn't balk at the complexity of the job. TJ is the consummate professional - knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He explained the plans in terms I could easily understand as someone totally unfamiliar with generators and the process. The generator has run flawlessly for the 5 years I've owned it, firing up within seconds of a power failure. I highly recommend this company.

I hired Extreme Clean to clean the house in preparation for staging and listing on the market. They did a very good job getting everything clean including the windows. In addition to a thorough general cleaning, we also had them do a deep cleaning of the entryway tile, which was about 35 years old and the tile in the original bathroom from 1957. Both floors came out really well. The entryway had about 1/4" grout, which was restored to its almost original color and the bathroom floor was the cleanest I had ever seen it. It may not be cheap, but they certainly us our money's worth.
Found a coupon code online for 30% off first-time service and figured why not give them a shot. I usually just try to clean the house myself but honestly it takes forever and I never do the baseboards or anything. They came through on a Tuesday morning and handled the whole place. The kitchen looked spotless. Counters, stovetop, even inside the microwave which I def hadn't touched in months. Bathroom tile was actually shining. They got into the corners and along the edges where dust just sits forever. Carpets got vacuumed really well too. Whole thing took a couple hours maybe. I wasn't home so they used the key I left. No issues with that at all. Everything was right where I left it. Nothing moved around or broken. I've tried other maid services walnut creek before and they always miss something obvious. This team was thorough.

Needed replacement of 2 areas of hardwood floor that had water damage. The replacement was done very cleanly and nicely, leaving a virtually invisible patch. Fortunately I had my own leftover wood from prior installation. While it involved some power tool work, no sawdust escaped the vacuum system, and everything was left perfectly clean and tidy. I came to see Dr. paraltta for neck and back pain after my rear end accident, I was very pleased at their attention to my symptoms and he did an awesome job treating me! 1st visit great! I feel confident he will fix me!
Went in with constant, severe left shoulder pain. My MRI noted I have multi-level cervical (neck) degeneration and nerve compression (C4, C5, and C6), with one level compression is close to the spinal cord. My lowest level of pain throughout the day was a 5; at night it was at 9. Couldn't sleep for weeks. Prescription corticosteriod and muscle relaxant provided some relief, but was only temporary. Massage made it worse. Acupuncture helped with some pain relief, but again temporary. Atrophy and shoulder weakness soon followed, I could barely lift my left arm.
Then I signed up for the treatment package at Dudum. Within 3 sessions, my should pain improved by 60%. By two weeks I was improved to 80%. Within a month, I stopped thinking about my shoulder at all.
Couldn't be happier with the results. And the staff is amazing, charismatic and friendly.
I recommend not messing up your neck or back. But if you do, this is the place you want to go.
I came here to focus on my shoulder having some mobility issue, they took me in and even had me get X-rays before to monitor the recovery of my shoulder (had shoulder surgery). Doug had me do this prior to any work as he wanted to ensure no further damage would be done. Which I never even thought to do before, the care that was given was top notch!
I had a wonderful visit at Empowered Family. They took amazing care of me. Their first visit is super affordable at $125 and I decided to upgrade to get the massage portion and I was so impressed. I came in with severe sciatica hardly walking and left without pain. Dr. K and Dr. Russ are extremely patient, talked me through all of the treatments, and spent a good amount of time making sure I feel better. I really liked how it didn’t feel like a factory. The office is very cute with beautiful posters along the walls, the diffuser made the room smell like citrus, and the calming music made me relax. Dr. Huang is one of the most gifted people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. I came in knowing very little about applied kinesiology, and after experiencing his approach, I quickly fell in love with the art of it. There is something remarkable about the way Dr. Huang understands the body. He seemed to know exactly where something was off and what needed attention, without me having to explain much at all.
The changes I noticed after treatment are amazing. My lower back pain disappeared. I stopped struggling with so much brain fog. I even noticed that I no longer felt the same constant pull to scroll on my phone. I felt clearer, more present, and more connected to myself.
Beyond his skill, Dr. Huang is an incredibly kind and special being. He introduced me to an entirely different way of understanding the body and its capacity to heal. I’m deeply grateful I had the opportunity to meet and learn from him.

I want to apologize for my misinformation. The rehabilitation program for this vet is backed up by 16 weeks, not the hospital itself.
We have nothing but praise for the staff and the care here. We started going here for physical therapy for a 13 year old dog at Canine Rehabilitation Center. He had arthritis and was also receiving treatment for cancer at SAGE. The physical therapy work they with him made a huge difference. The cancer ended up taking him, but he had very happy, energetic and enjoyable live up until the end.
We now use Muller as our primary vet for two dogs. The vet we were using previously was bought by Thrive and the quality/availability of care became unreliable. The prices are reasonable and the staff are great.
Dr. Bedros is by far the most vet i have met that genuinely care about his profession and the animals he treats and diagnose.

I started with Restore and Slow Flow classes after too many years away from yoga, and after 6 classes my body feels so much better. Lisa is a great instructor and each session is different, interesting and challenging. Studio is impressively clean. Avg class attendance is around 10-15 people, so there is still room to move freely. Blocks and blankets are available for use. Cold towels after class are a refreshing touch! Check in staff is friendly. What a safe, welcoming community to be a part of!

My experience with Clayton Francis of integrative fitness has been nothing but efficient, effective and wonderful. He is not like a regular massage therapist where he makes you feel good and then the pain comes back. He gets to the root of the problem and helped me to learn how to stand correctly and hold my body so the painful spots do not come back. He is knowledgeable, professional and will work with you throughout the process. I cannot thank Clayton enough for teaching me how to manage my body and most importantly become a much happier person with the pain gone. I could not sit in an airplane for longer than an hour without throbbing pain on my lower left back last week and like magic I had no pain. I highly recommend working with Clayton if you are looking for a permanent solution instead of a temporary fix.

I saw Rose years ago for planter fasciitis and had a great experience. Earlier this year when we were struggling to get pregnant I began seeing her again. Lotus acupuncture has such a welcoming and calming feel that I felt better just walking in for my first appointment. Rose worked with me to come up with a plan that was manageable and not too overwhelming (as most things infertility related can be very overwhelming!).
I began seeing her weekly for acupuncture, and she got me set up with supplements and vitamins. The plan was to prep my body with her as we started seeing a specialist to begin the IVF process. After a few months with Rose I ended up pregnant naturally! I've continued to see her throughout my pregnancy for help with sciatica, and just general pregnancy wellness, and continue to look forward to all of my appointments.
I can't recommend Lotus Acupuncture and Rose enough!
Dr. Xue is incredible! After just one appointment, my back pain disappeared! Following another appointment, the discomfort in my left waist disappeared. I've received acupuncture from other practitioners previously, but I've never experienced such rapid progress.
