It's been years since I've played TPGC but got in 18 this morning. Check in was easy, carts were in good shape, fairways and tee boxes were clean, and the greens were smooth. Course seemed more narrow than I remember. It's a tough track as it's pretty hilly, and you're hitting from uneven lies unless you can hit it dead straight. The first hole was tough... hitting an uphill par 4 to an elevated green. Good mix of average and skilled players. Several Marshals kept the pace moving along. Other East Bay courses could use Marshals like TPGC... friendly and ever-present. Challenging round but a good time. Only con- the perfectly placed restaurant at the turn ran out of breakfast burritos.
Needed a quick fix for my gate intercom, and their team handled the repair fast and perfect.

Asked for and received a quote from Rick in February of 2024, for demolishing my mother's backyard cottage, and one fence, including digging up and carrying away the poured pier-type concrete foundations of the cottage, bringing electrical, water, and sewage lines down to the surface, and cleaning up. Added to the quote was an optional junk handling and hauling fee. Initial quote was lowest of several bids I had for this work. Quote additions were extremely reasonable and handled very professionally. Service and work quality were professional, friendly and very high quality. They took all my junk accumulated over years in the basement garage and carefully swept up after. Initial estimate of engagement's duration was 5 days and they did it in 4, including an unexpected add-on demolition of the back fence. They also use Marin county's Zero Waste waste stream, which is important to me - I want my junk to have the best chance of not ending up in the landfill. They picked up every little fragment from the demolishing and the junk hauling that was at all reasonable. The dirt left behind is otherwise spotless. Now I'm just left to decide how best to remediate the holes in the ground left by the things I requested they dig out. An entirely expected outcome. They were professional, helpful, attentive, worked with me on deciding how to handle special waste my mother had hidden away for years under the structure, and everything they touched looks clean and well kept. It's been a long time coming and much appreciated. Photos are of structures they demolished, and of outcomes. Very happy with their service. Would recommend without reservations.
My wife has been going to see Aisha and I can give you my honest opinion from my perspective. Almost every other person she has had do braids for her has caused her some type of stress or anxiety. Either the final product was not what she wanted, or the person was unreliable or even if the braids came out well they took forever! Seeing Aisha makes her happy. Happy and Cheerful Kellianne does the very best haircut and styling on my frizzy and curly hair. The curls as she cuts become nice waves. The texture is smooth. Kellianne is a magician with hair. Alex is so talented and meticulous with her coloring! I went to her for the first time and she put so much work and care into giving me a beautiful lived-in blonde, including adjusting the tone a few days later when I wanted a slight change. There is so much dimension to the color and I’m really impressed and pleased with the result!

I've been long overdue for a haircut and after having 2 babies back to back it was definitely time! Lynn was my stylist and did such an amazing job. She took her time and gave me exactly what I asked for. The blowout was my favorite and I got so many compliments! This mama felt pampered and like I got my pink back! She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for years, and now cuts my daughter and son's hair as well. After a visit to her salon, I often get asked who cuts my hair or who colors my hair. She is very selective about the products she uses, so you can trust that they are safe, including the straightening/relaxing treatment she uses. She is genuine and caring. You should definitely go see Redd. Once you do, you won't go to anyone else.

I've been coming to this place since 1993. The owner is like a Bay Area Historian to me. He's seen the neighborhood change through more than six decades. Although I now live on the East Coast, I still make it a must to stop by and get a cut because Harold is one of the best barbers to ever hold a pair of clippers. We in the community have always seen him as a Bay Area legend! ?✂️

Best, barber in the East Bay. Difficult thing is no appointments so you may wait 30 minutes or a 4 hours. It's definitely worth the wait for the cut that you can get. Larry's amazing and certainly one of the best parts of the East Bay community. You could tell he loves his people and the East Bay.

I recently moved to the Bay area, and started going to Hair by Glynis after being recommended by a young woman whose haircut I really liked. She gave me Glynis’s card, I called and was given an appointment within the week for consultation. The shop is conveniently located, and the interior bright and comfortable. Glynis is lovely, welcoming, and very easy to talk to. She took the time to examine my hair type, ask me about prior haircuts (how often? what styles?), my likes and dislikes (bangs, close edging). My first cut was a short pixie cut which I absolutely loved! It was easy to manage and very flattering! Recently I decided to go shorter, and really love this one! I’ve had the opportunity to see her do other beautiful styles while in the shop. She is very talented and professional. I highly recommend Hair by Glynis to anyone looking to get beautiful styling, in comfortable surroundings, performed by a pleasant and accomplished stylist.

I just got my hair done last night and I must tell you that I am extremely OVERJOYED and AMAZED by the EXCELLENT work that was done on my hair by Fatu and by the assistance of her daughter Thelma! Fatu was KIND, PATIENT, and PROFESSIONAL in a very down to earth way! I felt comfortable the moment I walked into the shop. I have never gotten my hair braided before with extensions so I was PRAYING that I picked the RIGHT shop and GOD answered my prayers! Fatu worked on my hair for 6 hours and over the course of that time her daughter Thelma (who is also very talented) assisted her. She too was very pleasant! Fatu was also VERY understanding of any reservations I might have had being as it was my first time getting my hair professionally braided.The price was VERY reasonable and EVERYONE that I saw in that shop yesterday left with their hair looking MAGNIFICENT!I came late afternoon so I presume these people had come much earlier. I got body contouring lipo and bbl and it was my first surgery and I was a special case. It was my first surgery and I am really grossed out by the human body. I am extremely squeamish when it comes to the anatomy and reality of surgery. I cried during my first session not because of the pain but because how grossed out I was by hearing and feeling the fluid move around in my body by her.
So I was a lot, my first session she was going to allow me to cancel because I was scared I would have to poop (I will spare the details) but I ended up arriving a half hour late and she did not make me feel bad at all. In fact I felt so much more secure with her. She knows A LOT and is able to answer all my weird questions. She actually helped me CONSIDERABLY more than my own Dr and his team. She was the one who taught me how to properly use my pillows, assured all my crazy thoughts were normal and talked me through things. Bottom line she helped me physically and mentally. She is talented and knowledgeable beyond her roles because she has studied a lot of adjacent fields. You will be in perfect, healing hands.

She kept checking in to make sure I was OK (came in for full arms & legs), and although it felt kinda spicy in some areas (as it should!) it really wasn't really that painful at all. I also had brows and lip done the week before, and it was painless and quick, with great result!
The customer service I received from Rhianna when booking my appointment was top notch! I enjoyed the atmosphere of the spa and my massage with Barbara was relaxing! I would not classify the massage as deep tissue as requested, it was more of a Swedish massage. Enjoyable nonetheless! I would definitely come back to try the other services and offerings from the estheticians, Ayurvedic specialists and masseuses. I also would be interested to try the acupuncture! Parking on the street nearby was easy, it was 2 hour parking only and I got to my car right before the 2 mark and was already given a ticket which was a bummer but had nothing to do with the spa just something to be aware of!
I used to see Alexandra regularly when I lived in the East Bay, and even though I’m now based in San Francisco, I still make the trip across the Bay Bridge traffic to see her. Her studio is a calming, peaceful sanctuary, and Alexandra herself is one of the warmest, kindest people I’ve ever met.
One session years ago that really stayed with me was when she gifted me crystals after learning my uncle had passed away — such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that shows how deeply she cares about her clients as people.
She gives truly incredible facials, and the massages that come with them are rejuvenating for the whole body and spirit. I’ve never had another esthetician pay such close attention to detail or be so in tune with what my skin actually needs. Her technique and level of care really set her apart. My husband even had his first-ever facial with her, and it was so satisfying to see everything she was able to extract!

So so pleased with a deeply Collaborative Process with Dylan on a blackwork sleeve and another very integrated leg piece. Dylan was very open to me being highly involved in the design, allowing for a slow process over weeks before we proceeded with the final piece. This is all very rare for tattoo artists ~ i searched for this for over a year !! I recently had a tattoo done by Martin. Martin is talented beyond most tattoo artists in this country and I have met a lot. He has been tattooing for over 30 years and has an extremely valuable and in-depth knowledge of traditional Japanese tattoos. He's also very friendly when he is tattooing a client and loves to converse, and he teaches people a lot of great things as opposed to somebody who just sits there, tattooing you in silence. When I was tattooed, he made me feel at home. I told him what I wanted, and he showed me a selection of drawings that he had already done in regards to the subject. He then redrew the drawing adding in a few ideas I had. He is a kind individual who takes sanitary precautions to the limit I am going to continue working with Martin as I pursue my quest of having a Japanese bodysuit I could not recommend Martin more he's clean, sterile and a lot of fun.
I also met kitty during the process, and for those of you who are seeking another very talented artist, I could not recommend her more as well.
My first tattoo - about 6"x4" on my left forearm - was EXPERTLY done by the very friendly and focused artist, Keene. Not as painful as I expected, but I felt it. However, I couldn't be happier with the result! His attention to getting the detail I hoped for was awesome. The vibe of the shop was professional yet comfortable, and the hundreds of examples of their art on the walls was like a museum of great ink art. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone - and I hope some this encourages some of your to give Berkeley Tattoo Parlour your business! I'll be going back when I'm ready for another tattoo.

Bro!!!! Was in town on tour with a band randomly decided I wanted to get a tattoo. I started looking around in Berkeley for good tattoo shops. Stumbled across this gem. So I took my time read all the reviews on local places. So I decided to go with this one. Best choice ever! Walked in was greeted instantly by Miguel. Told him I didn’t have a appointment but was only in town for the night and would be stoked if I could get a tattoo from them. He told me he had a couple hours left with his client that he already had in the chair then he could get me in! From the moment I got In That chair till the moment I left every last drop of the experience was exactly what you would want in a tattoo experience! Miguel is so skillful and artistically inclined that it blew my mind. The shop was clean and tidy atmosphere was absolutely amazing. He did and executed exactly what I had asked for and went artistically above and beyond far exceeding my expectation! Anytime I come to Berkeley I’m getting a tattoo with Miguel! Lifesavers! Eric called me back right away, and I was able to get someone later that same day. Dino figured out the problem in 5 minutes, switched out the little piece necessary, and boom, hot water pressure was back on! Bonus: My tenant reports that Dino and he had a great conversation about punk rock and heavy metal. Haha! I am so glad I called them for a second opinion because a different plumbing company tried to charge me $6000 for a water heater replacement! Pelican Plumbing is reliable, reasonably priced (they don't charge unless they fix the problem), and HONEST!! Just give these guys a ring.
I always ask for Stormy. Another outfit wanted to sell me not one but two new water heaters. Stormy ordered a small part and fixed the problem expeditiously. He also forecast another 10 years for the two heaters (system) we have in place. Knowledgable, trustworthy, thoughtful and friendly. Highest recommendation.

Over the last few years Frederic's Electric has installed a couple of GFCI outlets at a very fair price. I have also talked to Frederic by phone to trouble shoot potential electrical problems. He is knowledgeable and helpful and communicates well, so that I know what my choices are before he actually comes out to do the work.
Zalman came by to do an assessment of a job (upgrading service to the main panel). It was pretty clear within the first few minutes that we wouldn't be moving forward at that time, but he still spent a good 20 minutes with me walking through the process, cost, potential complications, and timelines!

My experience of your maid service is all positive. She made sure to make the oven sparkle using a variety of liquids including Dawn. She made it gleaming like new. We vacuumed using my vacuum with attachments and she got the corners clean. She used a Swiffer dust mop on my bedroom window sills. We used Simple Green ecologically sound floor liquid and my mop to make the floors clean and polished. Thank you, thank goodness for you Crib Buddy!!
My appreciation of my maid’s stellar floor cleaning abilities just increased. She likes to use my vacuum cleaner and it’s attachments to get into dusty corners and cleaning behind boxes. My provider is excellent at getting everything really clean. The floors are refreshing to see after she uses the vacuum and mop. I have about an hour and a half’s working with her, so after the sparkly floors we went to the kitchen, where she cleaned (very thoroughly) the sink and countertops. Thank you!
Lawana brings good cheer into my apartment but is totally focused on making my floors shine and be beautiful. I like the fact that we work together and she takes some instructions from me. We are very happy to have chosen Tinka Construction to remodel our bathroom. The result is exceptional. George was always quick to respond to any of my texts and emails no matter what the news may be. Our bathroom needed a complete teardown to expanding one wall out an additional foot. His crew was outstanding whether it be reconstruction of a wall, plumbing, electrical, painting or cleanliness. And to complement George's crew, he uses highly skilled third-party specialty contractors, such as, for our custom shower install. What amaze us most was how the work was all done as seamless as possible by being creative and resourceful at solving any potential obstacles or issues. We are looking to hiring George and his crew again on another project.

Johnny and his crew installed corten steel edging around our sidewalk garden. It looks really good, was reasonably price, and they were responsive to feedback during the installation. It came out exactly as I envisioned it. I'd definitely recommend for your landscaping needs.
Matt was very easy to work with, and made many useful suggestions about our project. It was to remove an old redwood deck that occupied most of our back yard, build some new redwood steps from one of our rear doors, build a balcony for the other door, and do some grading, hardscaping and improve the drainage. There were a few minor issues, but all of them were easy to resolve, and most were mentioned to me by Matt when he saw an unexpected problem. He was not the least expensive contractor we spoke with about this project, but his work was great. My one complaint is that his crew could be more careful with the landscaping they were not working on, but it was more an annoyance than any real damage. From all the contractors we have dealt with this summer, this was indeed a minor problem. I would use him again in the future.
Nat and Nathan did a phenomenal job with our project. We replaced our back decking and awning structure and overhauled our small-but-mighty front yard garden spaces. Nat and Nathan were responsive and easy to work with, answering all of our questions and taking our ideas and making them possible. I'd highly recommend working with them for all landscaping efforts!

Five years ago, the team at Planted Earth installed a drip irrigation system in our yard to replace an old spray irrigation system. The new system is more flexible, allowing us to adjust placement and flow level as plants mature. Best of all, any time we need help with the system, someone from Planted Earth arrives quickly to assess and resolve the issue. A reliable, responsive, skilled team!

MB Complete Tree removed a very large redwood that had its burl and roots pushing up our foundation. Matt sent a great crew that did an amazing take down and removal. They also ground the huge stump. The crew worked hard and kept the area safe and did an excellent clean-up (including neighbors) after each day of work. I give them an unqualified 5 star recommendation.
A really wonderful dentist. I drive all the way to Berkeley from Sacramento to see them. I have a rare medical condition that has specific implications for dental health. They've been accommodating and proactive -- doing research where necessary to make sure that I'm getting the best care possible. I've also never had an attempt to upsell cosmetic work here; no discussion of whitening or veneers, both of which I had every dentist mention every single visit the whole time I lived in Los Angeles. Do I have to bill back to insurance? Yes. Have I ever had a problem with that? No. Ultimately, billing back to insurance (as others have mentioned in their reviews) is a very small tradeoff for me when compared with having a dental team that I trust.
Dr. Carole Miyohara goes 1,000% above and beyond, and has done so for all three of our kids for over 15 years. She is by far our favorite dentist and health care provider. She is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and gives the aloha spirit with her beautiful welcoming smile and demeanor. Our youngest son has special needs so she sees him when the office is quiet and there are no other distractions. She is so amazing with her gentle care and gracious heart. We appreciate her so much, and the whole office staff too!!!

Today I had the first good experience at the dentist in my whole life. Since I was very little, I have HATED going to the dentist. Today, I think that changed.
I get very overwhelmed by new places, sounds, smells, etc., and I walked in with my sunglasses and noise cancelling headphones (iykyk). I was not judged or asked to take them off. Everyone there treated me so nicely. I didn't have a panic attack or cry!
It is apparent that Dr. Kami leads his team with kindness and warmth, because that is how I was welcomed today. I feel very grateful to have found his practice and only wish I'd found them sooner. I don't hate the dentist anymore! :)
OMG — I seriously cannot recommend Dr. Mandy and Kaizen Chiropractic highly enough! From the moment I walked in, the office felt so warm and welcoming. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and Dr. Mandy? She’s absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely caring.
Even during just the initial consultation, I felt such a shift. Dr. Mandy’s approach was exactly what I needed — she asked all the right questions, then took the time to dig deeper to really understand what’s going on. I also loved how educational the entire experience was! I walked away with a better understanding of why I’m feeling the way I am, and more importantly, how I can start helping myself at home.

I started coming to Dr Bath two weeks ago for plantar fasciitis and I have had such relief that I can say that the end of my pain is in sight! I appreciate the multiple modalities of hands on massage and chiropractic care.
The staff here is great. My body feels good and well adjusted. I also brought my auntie and she says she can feel it working and has better leg movement.
I met Dr. A when I was 13 months pregnant with my second child and unable to walk or even sit due to what I later discovered was a ruptured disc in my lumbar region. While my HMO initially advised me to wait out the pain, offered opiate painkillers I was not comfortable taking, and recommended exercises I could not perform, Dr. A traveled to my home for my initial session and actually looked at my back and body. Her first adjustment enabled me to walk taller and longer than I had since my initial injury. When I had a setback and my progress stalled, Dr. A correctly identified that I had a ruptured disc and helped arm me with information needed to advocate for more invasive medical intervention that was also pregnancy safe. In addition to adjustments, she took time to connect me with a stabilizing belt, exercises, and ways of moving that helped me function enough to do things like watch my 4-year-old, take showers, prepare quick meals, and slowly but surely build strength and endurance. Through it all, Dr. A demonstrated again and again her incredible gift for trauma-informed body work. At a time when I didn't trust anyone to touch my body--myself included--I knew I was in good hands with Dr. A. She is gentle and confident, sincere and compassionate, and she possesses an innate ability to listen well and connect deeply. From our first meeting, I felt safe with Dr. A. This safety and trust helped me not only move again but also rebuild my own trust in my body and in myself. I returned to Dr. A after giving birth as I dealt with recovery for both c-section surgery and my ruptured disc. She laid the groundwork for physical and mental recovery, giving me the confidence to move forward--body and mind--in a healthier way for myself and my kids. Today, I am back to work, able to hike, hold my kids, and once again feel strong in my body. Thank you, Dr. A for helping me return to my life and body in a deeper, richer way.

My dog was wounded. I got an appointment that morning. Vet tech was kind and gentle. Doctor cleaned and examined her wound. She was thorough and caring. I saw 4 other dogs come in that morning. People and animals were all calm, unafraid. The best experience I've had at a veterinarian. Doggy is back to her old self in 12 hours. This is my new vet!
We've consistently had a great experience with all of the staff, vet techs and veterinarians at Berkeley Dog and Cat Hospital. They've taken great care of our dog who has a rare and serious bleeding condition, both in the acute emergency as well as outpatient settings. For primary care we currently see Dr. Sirkis, who is great. Even though our dog's condition is very rare, she takes the time to research questions we have to give us an informed response.
After more than four years between classes, I was so happy to return to Heather's class in person! I was pleasantly surprised to find that Adeline has moved to a new, even better location, just a few doors up. This class was exactly what I need, and I especially appreciate the helpful title: "Continuing Beginner," that's me all right! September will be 9 years I've been practicing yoga, but (almost ) half of that has been (almost) entirely on Zoom so getting in-person adjustments is a welcome change. I come with the heart of a beginner. Thanks for the great class! Also, pro tip for other continuing beginners: if you don't go to Adeline Bakery for a treat after this class ends, you're doing it wrong.
I love Yoga Kula - every time I visit the Bay Area I make sure to take some classes here. This place oozes authenticity, inclusiveness and relaxation. The teachers are great and offer a varied selection of classes. Amazing teachers and great vibe - very much recommended. Great value vs other gyms as well. I wasn't familiar with Bikram Yoga prior although I practiced many other forms of Yoga. The heated space really up levels the experience and I can totally let go and really engage with my body in a healthy way. Teacher's provide a great balance in which you're "pushed" only so far you're getting the best out of yourself including honoring you're own limits. Overall very much recommended!

This studio combines meditation and workout. Studio provides lots of variety of classes. There are excellent teachers there. Although not all are excellent in my view, of course. Yoga mat, blanket, blocks, straps , and tea are available for free. There are many sessions like sound healing, specific trainings, etc... apart from membership. This studio is large and has an open feeling to it due to windows and sunroof. The studio is elegant.
Yogalayam is a classical yoga center that is a rare find in the Bay Area. The Director, Saraswathi Devi, is a considered a Senior level teacher and is well known for her dedication and commitment to the people whom she serves. She has dedicated over 40 years to the practice of Prana Yoga, a lineage passed down directly from her teacher (from India), Swami Vignanananda. Saraswathi Devi is most known for the one of a kind Yoga Therapy program that she founded at UC Berkeley which serves yoga practitioners with and without disabilities. She is also known for her full spectrum care of families through the practice of yoga through Pre/Post Natal, her popular Family/Baby classes as well as Yoga and Meditation for all walks of life. Although Saraswathi Devi has in-depth knowledge of yoga as a disciplined way of life, as an experienced teacher she is able to meet you where you are at with care and grace.

Best Thai massage in the Bay Area! Hands down. Jessy is fully focused and Is very detailed in his approach. I felt like jelly when I left and got all best stretches for my hour sesh.

Did the therapeutic service with Pim. She did an excellent job helping in guiding me through my first Thai massage. She was extremely attentive to certain injuries and surgeries and recommended good next steps to help me relieve tension. Will definitely be going back soon!

Every time I leave, I think I should be doing this more often because it is so relaxing and beneficial to my body. She's very good at working specific problem areas. She has an ever expanding tool box which includes: the deep presence and neurological reset that Esalan massage is known for, with a side of Osteopathic Manual Therapy and Myofascial techniques, topped off with slow, conscious application of Deep Tissue massage for a full body effect. Bodywork therapist Olive P. administered the most thorough and effective massage I've ever experienced: 1 hour Thai massage plus 30 minutes reflexology. I specified strong pressure and Olive wrecked me in the best possible way. 2 days after the massage everything feels so much better, esp my feet. Facilty is very tastefully decorated and clean.
I'm five months pregnant and went for my first treatment with Lori last week. Within minutes of her working on me, the pain in my feet and hands went away and has stayed that way after a week of intense work that required me to be on my feet all day. She's incredibly experienced and one of the most professional masseuses I've worked with. Highly recommend!
Devin of Deva Flora Healing Arts works magic! After breast cancer surgery and reconstruction, my breast and underarm scar tissue was really tightening up and I had no idea someone could help. Devin was recommended and I'm so glad I treated myself to a much needed healing package, not many massage therapists are as adept at working on scar tissue as Devin. I was impressed with the way she listened, approached my issues & suggested solutions. After a session & a few days later I realized that she nailed the muscle group and I was on the path of recovery. I continued with more sessions & later incorporated an overall body work-up. Deena is a real healer. The combination of her impeccable knowledge of anatomy and how your body truly works with her experience and intentions to heal are truly wonderful and worth every moment and dollar spent.Often people work with a PT in emergency circumstances or recovering from an injury, but you may consider also working with her not in a time of crisis to improve your ergonomic relationship to whatever you do in your daily life and get tuned up! She’s wonderful and I can’t say enough good things, highly recommended.
I have had great results for my pelvic issues with PHRC, with Tiffany Ai Lan Vo and other PT’s there. The support staff is also very supportive, welcoming and competent in dealing with the insurance maze. Thank you Lisa Topete. I got excellent PT care, support and guidance there and highly recommend PHRC.
I went to PHRC after a mountain biking accident and healing of my fractured pelvic bone. The scar tissue buildup was restricting my range of motion and made bike riding painful. After much research, I found PHRC as the only PT clinics in the North Bay providing both strengthening training and manual therapy. I’m completely past my injuries and in a better physical condition than before my fall accident.
I highly recommend SOL Physical Therapy in Berkeley on Fourth St. The facility is nice. I am working with Aaron and Damien. They are knowledgeable, understanding, listens to your concerns and recommends the appropriate therapy plan. I had hip replacement surgery and my recovery has been excellent under their guidance. My one comment is that it was hard to get in as quickly as I wanted and appointments are not always readily available. However, they make every attempt to accommodate your schedule.
The intern clinic at AIMC helped me with relief from for a variety of different health conditions including hormonal and orthopedic.
I've been seeing Marny Culpepper for the past few months as I started fertility treatments. She is so warm and knowledgeable on the benefits of acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy. With her help, I was able to conceive on my first round of fertility treatments! She also helped me manage my neck pains during the first trimester with acupuncture, gua sha, and stretches. I would highly recommend Marny for anyone who is on their fertility and/or pregnancy journey. She truly cares for each of her patients.
I was dealing with digestive issues and worsening PMS for awhile, a long long while. Disappointed with how doctor appointments would go, I was searching for alternative methods of wellness/healthcare for real changes. I had a little experience with Chinese medicine as a kid so when I came across Ivy’s social media through an acquaintance, who mentioned how transformative her sessions with Ivy were, I felt that I needed to try acupuncture. Finally, I worked up the courage (very scared of needles here) to make my first appointment a few years ago. I don’t say this lightly when I say going to Luminae and being treated/healed through Ivy has been life changing - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Honestly, I had no idea what to expect as I’ve never had acupuncture treatment before. Not only was I was pleasantly surprised/relieved that after 1 month of treatments I had zero PMS, it has been incredibly enriching.

There are so many acupuncture practices in the area that it can be overwhelming which one to choose. I am writing this review to share what an absolute gem Mitchell Family acupuncture is. I’ve worked with almost all of the acupuncturists there and everyone is just amazing. Throughout my preconception phase, I was working with Alison, who I attribute a healthy and successful natural pregnancy to. Our weekly sessions and her expert knowledge about herbs and other holistic healing modalities restored my hormonal balance. I can’t thank her enough for that. Throughout pregnancy, I mostly saw Britt, who’s been so gentle and kind, exactly what I needed during that time. When it was time for my baby to come and I was in prodromal labor for a few days, one session with Britt was what it took to get things going and I welcomed my daughter 24 hours later. I am so glad that I found this practice and I will keep coming for my general wellbeing. Thank you to everyone at Mitchell!

I've received traditional acupuncture sessions for 50+ years from a variety of acupuncture providers in Bay Area, and at last and none too soon, I discovered this superb and experienced acupuncturist! Her office is comfortable, clean and professional, scheduling with a receptionist in the office. Nancy herself is older and wiser than other acupuncturists-she just knows where to put needles after understanding what you need/want in a brief q and a health conversation. She "gets it" and gets to work! My primary reason for this review of Nancy's practice is Nancy-non-judgmental, very caring and experienced, she listens, providing the best possible outcome of presented issues. Also, she doesn't try to sell you herbs, teas, treatments that so many less experienced try to include. Just the basics with compassion, simply and powerfully, reasonably priced.

She listens carefully and with empathy, then uses her vast knowledge and next-level intuition to treat you and design a program for you if you want one. I came to Abigail because I was so run down and my immune system was reacting all fall and winter long, every year. I had blood sugar and adrenal issues. I was exhausted.
I'm amazed to say I now don't get sick any more often than the average person. I generally sleep well and most of my blood sugar issues are gone. I no longer take adrenal supplements. And my energy is back.
Abigail also greatly reduced my (very) long Covid symptoms through acupuncture and nutritional changes.
She also helps me in the more traditional ways with pain relief when I have an injury or my chronic new problems are hurting me.
I would not have thought it possible that a practitioner of any kind could help me with my mystery problems. But Abigail is very very special. I can't recommend her highly enough.
